A few of Christine and the Queens' favourite things

IMG_20181231_192244.jpg

How should the interviewer call her? HΓ©loΓ―se, Christine, or Chris? "Chris", she offers, "Nice and short, but I haven't completely decided on it yet."

There's never been a band, the name is to hide that Chris does everything by herself: "Male artists that do everything by themselves are admired, women mistrusted. No-one ever wondered if Prince really did everything by himself, while people wonder which genie is pulling my strings and doing the work."

In music:
Cameo - Word up (single)
Janet Jackson - The Velvet Rope (album) "I like Michael Jackson as well, but he didn't make such a daring conceptual master piece like Janet did in 1997."

In books:
"Dickens, Balzac, Flaubert. And the one gamechanger was Notre-Dame Des-Fleurs, by Jean Genet."

In art:
"I like paintings, but don't like museums. I rather look at a painting online than in the Louvre. You should only see the painting, not the people around it. I admire Caravaggio because of the light in his work, Goya because of how he shows cruelty and Basquiat because of his work's vitality."

Did you know there never was any band, ONTD? And do you rather look at paintings online as well?

The best music video of the 2000's and "Thriller" of our generation "Bad Romance" just hit 1 billion views - after a little over 9 years since premiering.

Apparently it's the first music video from the 2000s by a solo artist to do so.

Let's throwback to when Gaga gave a commentary on the video:

Paparazzi - Bad Romance - Telephone was the last true great pop era, RIP

Do you remember the first time watching the video?

Parkland survivors and father of Parkland victim respond to Louis CK

A recording of sexual predator Louis CK's recent standup routine got leaked. In it, he can be heard denigrating non-binary and trans people for having the nerve to ask for respect, and the Parkland students for turning their trauma into activism. During his rant, he specifically objected to havingΒ  the Parkland survivors testify in front of Congress. Only one of them got to do so. Her name is Aalayah Eastmond, and she testified against Brett Kavanaugh's confirmation (op note: maybe a woman speaking out against another sexual predator is what really offended Louis CK). Aalayah has now tweeted this response to the disgraced comedian:

Fred Guttenburg, whose daughter was killed in the Parkland shooting, had a message for CK:

Kyra Parrow, Parkland survivor and activist:

Ryan Deitsch, another Parkland survivor and activist:

Cameron Kasky, Parkland survivor and cofounder of March for Our Lives:

Tiffany Haddish: I'll Wear Fur Until Police Stop Killing Black People

When a fan wearing a raccoon fur jacket told Tiffany Haddish that she loved her, Haddish replied "If you really love me, let me have your jacket" - and the fan did.

Haddish then posted the above video on Instagram, in which she thanked the fan and said "I'm gonna wear fur every day until the police stop killing black people. That's my new protest. So sorry PETA - don't be mad at me. Be mad at the police. When they stop killing black people, I'll stop wearing fur. See how that goes? 'Cuz people are important and so are the animals - to keep me warm."

Other celebrities posted in the comments. Nick Cannon, NeNe Leakes and Kendrick Sampson (Lyft Bae) voiced their approval, with Sampson saying "Look at all the people pissed about this that haven't ever stood up for black lives."

But vegan Russell Simmons wasn't so supportive: he commented "White supremacy is a disease that takes on many forms and has many symptoms. The abuse of other beings will not address that...or heal ourselves. I love you Tiffany, but I wish you would reconsider this route of protest."

8. She uses a No. 13 golf cart: Lucky 13, her favorite number, of course!

9. The last scene is the most important of all: While in the beginning of the concert movie we were met with negative reports about T.Swift, we ended with a carefree Taylor. We see her skipping away, seeming truly at peace with her life...and her reputation.

They're threatening to take CNN spot for next year.

Also, Andy Cohen is having a boy as i predicted.

The two have never faced each other on a court during a tour (they did play on the same team in 2010 to raise money for Haiti). But they will on New Year’s Day at the Hopman Cup, where Federer and Williams will face off in a mixed doubles match between Switzerland and the United States.
