Demi Lovato has been making headlines this year, and not just for her role on X Factor. Every time the 19-year-old hits the red carpet, fans can't stop tweeting about her hair. Blonde, pink, blue, high, low, and even tied up with bondage tape—the girl's got some serious beauty mojo. We caught up with the star to find out more about her beauty routine and how her newfound confidence has changed her style.

Do you ever wear your hair the same way twice?
"I love changing my hair a lot—I think it's fun. I used to always want to dye my hair blue and purple and pink when I was younger. But I was busy trying to make it in the industry as an actress, and it was hard to go in for auditions with blue hair. And so when I heard of the dip dye trend, I loved it, and felt like I could finally dye my hair blue. You know you've made it when you can dye your hair blue."

You wear it in a lot of interesting styles too. Have there been any you weren't sure about?
"I did this twist thing on the top of my head and I was super self conscious about it at first. I didn't know if I liked it or not. But as I wore it longer I felt more confident. I was a little scared of taking a risk."

And your favorite style so far?
"At the Teen Choice Awards, my hair was slicked back into a really high ponytail. I used to wear my hair down all the time because I was self conscious about my face being round or something and I feel like long hair sometimes makes you feel taller. But I like wearing my hair up now because I feel more confident and it's fun."

How do you take care of it?
"I really love deep conditioning my hair. I use a Wella hair mask and leave it on for five minutes. And I wait as long as I can before I need to wash my hair. I think that's the best thing girls can do for their hair because washing it a lot makes your scalp really dry."

You also have amazing skin. What's your secret?
"I get a facial once every three months from this place called Blue Medi Spa. And I drink a lot of water. But the most important thing is not sleeping in my makeup. I like the Neutrogena face wipes and the Biore Pore Unclogging Scrub. Then I use a toner from Mario Badescu. And I moisturize with Olay Complete All Day UV Moisturizer. I also use night creams from Mario Badescu."

When you do wear makeup, do you like playing up your eyes or your lips?
"During the summer, I think it's important to keep your look natural and fresh so I actually accentuate my skin. I do a lot of contouring and highlighting my cheekbones with a mineral bronzer from M.A.C. And I always do my eyebrows. I like to keep them in tip-top shape."

Do you get your eyebrows done?
"I do them myself, because one time I got them done and the lady nearly took my eyebrows off completely and I've been traumatized ever since. To shape them during the day, I'll use the Anastasia Eyebrow Compact."

What are your beauty splurges?
"My splurges are only on concealer and foundation. I use a Make Up For Ever concealer and I mix it with an Estée Lauder 12-hour concealer so it stays really well throughout the day—literally 12 hours. For foundation, I use a really light Chanel foundation—the Vitalumière Aqua Ultra-Light Skin Perfecting Makeup. Everything else I use you could get at a local drugstore."

Spray tans, eyelash extensions, manicures?

"I get spray tans in the summer when I'm on tour or have red carpet things where I need color really fast. But I don't like spray tans because when I work out, it gets white around the sports bra area when I sweat. And it gets streaky. It's just not cute. And I do get manicures, but I only go to places that do really cheap manicures. I feel like overpriced manicures are really overrated. My local nail salon does just as good a job."

What's your beauty routine like on X Factor?
"I'm in hair and makeup for an hour and a half to two hours because I like to do my makeup and relax at the same time. I don't like to feel rushed. And we like to change up my look. Sometimes we'll go really natural, and sometimes really edgy."

What's the best beauty tip you've picked up from years of being in the makeup chair?
"The best thing I ever did for myself was switch from glasses to contacts. That helped boost my transition from going from my awkward phase to being confident. I use Acuvue 1-Day Moist contacts (Lovato is a spokesperson for the brand)."

'Beautiful Creatures' author Margaret Stohl sells film rights to 'Icons'

Film rights for Margaret Stohl's upcoming solo novel Icons have been sold to Alcon Entertainment, the same company behind the upcoming adaptation of Beautiful Creatures, which Stohl co-authored with Kami Garcia.

Stohl announced the news officially on Friday, after rumors first hit Variety. Icons is the first in a new young adult book series, described as being "set in a haunting new world where four teens must piece together the mysteries of their pasts, in order to save the future." (OP: bwah? that's vague)

Stohl told readers she had many options for selling the film rights to Icons, but went with Alcon for the same reason she stuck with publisher Little, Brown Books for Young Readers.

"I trust these guys," Stohl wrote. "I respect these guys, and - of course - I really like these guys. Most importantly, they really seem to love my new book. At the end of the day, that's what it's all about."

The first Icons book is set for release in May.

From Goodreads:

Your heart beats only with their permission.

Everything changed on The Day. The day the windows shattered. The day the power stopped. The day Dol's family dropped dead. The day Earth lost a war it didn't know it was fighting.

Since then, Dol has lived a simple life in the countryside -- safe from the shadow of the Icon and its terrifying power. Hiding from the one truth she can't avoid.

She's different. She survived. Why?

When Dol and her best friend, Ro, are captured and taken to the Embassy, off the coast of the sprawling metropolis once known as the City of Angels, they find only more questions. While Ro and fellow hostage Tima rage against their captors, Dol finds herself drawn to Lucas, the Ambassador's privileged son. But the four teens are more alike than they might think, and the timing of their meeting isn't a coincidence. It's a conspiracy.

Within the Icon's reach, Dol, Ro, Tima, and Lucas discover that their uncontrollable emotions -- which they've always thought to be their greatest weaknesses -- may actually be their greatest strengths.

Bestselling author Margaret Stohl delivers the first book in a heart-pounding series set in a haunting new world where four teens must piece together the mysteries of their pasts -- in order to save the future.

If there's a hot Hollywood couple that could use a little recognition, it's White Collar hunk Matt Bomer and his partner, celebrity publicist Simon Halls.

The Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network announced today that the ridiculously good-looking duo and fathers of three will receive the Inspiration award at their annual GLSEN Respect Awards in L.A.

According to a release out today, GLSEN Executive Director Eliza Byard is proud to recognize Bomer and Halls "for their meaningful contributions toward creating a world where every child learns to respect and accept all people."

With the Respect Awards, GLSEN works to "showcase the work of corporations, individuals, students and educators who have made a significant difference in the areas of diversity, inclusion and the safe schools movement, and who serve as exemplary role models."

Bomer, who subtly came out in February, recently opened up to us about his LGBT advocacy.

"What we really have to do is stop the adjective before the job title—whether it's 'black actor,' a 'gay actor' or 'anything actor,'" the 34-year-old thesp said. "Everybody thinks that equality comes from identifying people, and that's not where equality comes from. Equality comes from treating everybody the same regardless of who they are."

Past GLSEN honorees include Chaz BonoLance Bass and country singer Chely Wright.

DreamWorks CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg and his wife Marilyn will also be honored at this year's ceremony with the Lifetime Achievement Award. The eighth annual Respect Awards will take place Friday, Oct. 5, at the Beverly Hills Hotel.

'Good Christians' must boycott Lady Gaga's concerts because she is a 'disciple of Satan' according to a Romanian politician and football club owner.

'Good Christians' must boycott Lady Gaga's concerts because she is a 'disciple of Satan' according to a Romanian politician and football club owner.

Gigi Becali launched the astonishing attack on the pop star ahead of her concert in Bucharest next week.

The controversial millionaire was being interviewed on a local Romanian television station when he said Lady Gaga 'probably doesn’t even realise that she is possessed.'

Becali, whose family owns Steaua Bucuresti football team, said: 'When she comes on the TV I switch the channels after two seconds and spit on the TV.

'We have to understand that there is a war between Satan and Christ at the moment.
'Christ will win.
'OK we cannot ban her.
'But nobody forces you to go to Lady Gaga’s concert.
'She is a disciple of Satan.
'Satan has his disciples and she is one of them.'

Lady Gaga is due to perform on August 16 in Bucharest as part of her Born This Way Ball tour.

Becali has joined calls for it to be banned.

He said the only good thing about the concert was that it gave people the chance to turn their backs on Satan - by rejecting her.

He said: 'When we see her we have to spit.
'Get back Satan.
'This is what a Christian does.
'This is what I’m doing.'

Neither Becali or Gaga, real name Stefani Germanotta, are strangers to controversy.

LONDON (AP) -- Olympic silver medalist Bryshon Nellum will carry the U.S. flag at Sunday's closing ceremony of the London Olympics.

Nellum was told by doctors that he might never be an elite athlete again after he was shot in the legs while leaving a restaurant near the campus of Southern California in 2008. Four years later, he's an Olympic medalist.

Nellum was part of the men's 4x400-meter relay team, which finished second to the Bahamas on Friday night. He also competed in the 400-meter dash in London, making the semifinal round.

Nellum says he's "humbled by this incredible privilege."

U.S. Olympic Committee CEO Scott Blackmun says Nellum's courage "embodies the Olympic spirit."

Nellum was selected flagbearer by other members of the U.S. Olympic team in London.

General Hospital Stars Talk JASAM vs MCBAM!

“It’s one of those embarrassment of riches things because Steve Burton and Kelly Monaco have chemistry and Kelly and Michael Easton have great chemistry,” “GH” executive producer Frank Valentini recently told AccessHollywood.com

Although there’s been just a kiss for the two characters, so far, even Michael said he’s aware the little gestures between Sam and John has been heating up the summer soap screen.

“Kelly and I were talking about it. It’s a strange storyline for daytime, it’s almost moving at like a Merchant-Ivory film pace, where small gestures are very important,” Michael told Access at TCAs. “When you don’t have a lot and you can’t just start making out or going to bed, it becomes about small gestures, it’s sort of like ‘Remains of the Day,’ or ‘Age of Innocence,’ where a touch means something.”

“One thing about working with Kelly, you have that very sort of hyperactive sense of, if she touches you, you feel it. Whereas maybe [with] another actor, if they were maybe to do the same thing, brush against [you], it’d either feel contrived or you might disregard it, but I think every time I feel a closeness with her, it registers in some way,” he said.

While there are plenty of fans hoping for a Sam-John romance, just as many want to see Kelly’s Sam and Steve Burton’s Jason repair their broken relationship.

“I don’t,” Steve replied when Access asked him if he knows where the story line is going. “I think Ron [Carlivati, ‘GH’s’ head writer] and Frank want to keep people either rooting for one couple or the other. So it’s totally, ‘Are Jason and Sam gonna get back together? It looks like they are and then something happens. It looks like they are and then something else happens.’ And then I go confide in Elizabeth and something happens and she’s with McBain and something happens. It’s definitely interesting and it’s definitely mixed everything up.”

And for fans of Jason and Elizabeth, Frank hinted there is more interaction between those two characters in the cards.

“Yes, we’re obviously exploring that… Becky and Steve are just magnetic,” Frank told Access. “And it’s a different kind of love, it’s a friendship love, it’s an eternal love. It has so many prongs to it that’s interesting for the writers to write. And also, on the flip side, Jason and Sam have the same kind of thing — their love is a little bit more on fire.”

Graham Shiels Heading to ‘The Young and the Restless’!

Soap Opera Network has learned Shiels will be portraying the character “Moran” in his scenes with Braden and Francis.

Previous, Tuesday, August 2 3:07 PM ET: Soap Opera Network has learned that actor Graham Shiels, who most recently appeared in an episode of TNT’s “Leverage,” has booked a recurring role on CBS’ “The Young and the Restless.”

While his character name is being kept under wraps, Soap Opera Network has learned that the role may vacillate between perceived enemy or ally and that Shiels will appear in scenes with Eric Braeden (Victor Newman) and Genie Francis (Genevieve Atkinson). His first airdate is scheduled for Monday, September 10.

Best known for his stint as Cody Paul on ABC’s “General Hospital” and its SOAPnet spin-off “General Hospital: Night Shift,” Shiels has also appeared in episodes of CBS primetime dramas “CSI: Miami” and “The Mentalist,” HBO’s “True Blood,” NBC’s “The Event” and ABC’s” “The Whole Truth,” among others.

“The Young and the Restless” recently announced the appointment of former “GH” and “Night Shift” season one executive producer Jill Farren Phelps as its new EP. She replaced Maria Arena Bell.

American Media Buys ‘Soap Opera Digest’!

I thought American Media already owned the 37-year-old magazine devoted to soap operas. But it turns out that the company has just been operating it for the last year or so under license from Source Interlink Media. Source Interlink bought Soap Opera Digest in 2007 from Primedia, which bought it in 1991 from News Corp, which bought it in 1989 from Network Publishing Corp, which bought it in 1980 from co-founders Angela and Jerome Shapiro.

American Media is just getting around to announcing the deal that it says closed on July 20, and took effect on June 1. Stephanie Sloane remains Editor-In-Chief and David Jackson the Group Publisher. “Soap Opera Digest is a very important strategic acquisition for [American Media] as it fits perfectly in the Celebrity & Entertainment Group,” CEO David Pecker says. That group includes the Star, National Enquirer, OK!, Country Weekly, and Radar Online.

The company didn’t disclose financial terms, but says that the weekly magazine has a circulation of more than 200,000. That’s down from more than 1M in 2001.

New KATIE promo: "You're Invited!"

I felt very glamorous: Shenaz Treasurywala!

Shenaz Treasurywala, who is shooting for a film in the city, is enjoying the art of balancing living between Mumbai and New York. While Mumbai is home, the actress does not mind exploring other cities for work and is currently kicked about doing the American show 'One Life to Live' in New York.

The actress says, "ABC studios is in New York. I felt very glamorous rubbing shoulders with people like Whoopi Goldberg who shot for my show. I was with Jennifer Aniston in the elevator (in my studio); Lady Gaga was in our building too, though I couldn't get a glimpse of her."

She has shot 60 episodes of 'One Life To Live'. "It's been a very exciting time. The world is a small place these days and in 18 hours I'm able to be on the other side of the globe. Flying to New York takes as much time as going on a bus to Goa. I'm used to the travel! It exhilarates me. "

B&B's Kanan Married!

During a trip to Italy in July, Sean Kanan (ex-Deacon, B&B/Y&R) exchanged vows with Michele Vega. "We covered probably 15 different cities and small towns and had our honeymoon in Sicily," smiles the actor. "We had an unbelievable time."

'Hart of Dixie' Taps Guiding Light alum Laura Bell Bundy for Season 2!

It's going to be choppy waters on Hart of Dixie.

Country singer and Broadway actress Laura Bell Bundy has been cast as Shelby, a potential love interest for George (Scott Porter), The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed. She is expected to appear in at least two episodes.

Shelby's appearance in Bluebell will ruffle feathers, as her entry comes after George and Lemon's (Jaime King) wedding was called off following news of Lemon's affair with the town's mayor Lavon (Cress Williams) and George's unexpected visit at Zoe's (Rachel Bilson) at the end of season one.

Bundy made her Broadway debut in Hairspray as Amber von Tussle, before starring as Elle Woods in Legally Blonde: The Musical. On the television side, she has appeared on How I Met Your Mother and Cold Case. Earlier this year, Bundy released a single called "That's What Angels Do."

Hart of Dixie returns at 8 p.m. Oct. 2 on The CW.

LONGMIRE star Bailey Chase chats about As The World Turns!

AX: You were on AS THE WORLD TURNS from 2003-2004. A lot of actors say that acting on soaps is the hardest acting work there is.

CHASE: I feel like – for me and probably for most actors – it’s boot camp, at least in the beginning. It was a great training ground for me, I logged a lot of hours in front of the camera and at that point, I felt a real growth, like I got over myself a little bit, my vanity and things like that. It’s about just showing up and the work. I feel like at that point, by the time I was done with that, it was like, “Okay, I’m a professional actor, this is what I do” [laughs]. And I felt like I earned it at that point. It’s hard doing daytime because of the demands. And I think that’s why the finished product suffers a little bit, because there’s never any time.

Greg Vaughan Starts As DAYS's Eric Brady!

Greg Vaughan (ex-Lucky, GH; ex-Diego, Y&R) began taping his new role as DAYS's Eric Brady today. The actor posted a photo of the NBC Burbank lot where DAYS is taped, along with the tweet, "Here's to new beginning's!!"

Vaughan is expected to begin airing in November. He left Port Charles as GH's Lucky in 2009, when Jonathan Jackson returned to the role.

Meanwhile, Eric Brady was last played by Jensen Ackles (SUPERNATURAL) in 2000.

BONNIE FRANKLIN INTERVIEW!

The Young and the Restless welcomes Bonnie Franklin to the cast as Sister Celeste. Franklin, best known for her role in the CBS comedy One Day at a Time, will begin airing Friday, August 24th.

We sat down with Franklin to discuss everything from the transition to the shooting pace of daytime television to playing the role of a nun. Check out the interview below to learn more about the latest addition to the Y&R family!

On landing this role...
“I got a phone call and they said, ‘You want to do Y&R?’ And I said, ‘Well okay.’”

“I’m at a stage in my life where I say yes to a lot of things. I’ve never done [a] Soap before.”

Fast-pace shooting schedule...
“I was warned beforehand [that it was a fast paced work environment]. I love it!”

“…So far, [I’ve worked with] Eric Braeden and Genie Francis. Who could be better to work with? They’ve been around for a bazillion years, they know exactly what they are doing.”

“…It is a well oiled machine. They say it is going to be fast. Sure enough, you… rehearse it once and you tape it once and boom on to the next scene.”

“I did an episode of [a] show [once that was] like doing brain surgery. …You keep rehearsing it then doing it for an audience, then fixing it and doing it for an audience; I mean it was just murder.

“This is much more pleasant. And the result… is just as good. So, I am having a good time with it. It’s fun.”

“I don’t find [the speed of it] so unusual. …I’ve had a theater company for 12 years. …We do concert staged readings of Classical and Contemporary American Plays called CCAP. We have to pull it together in a week and then perform a really great play. In a way, that’s a short hand. And in a way, doing a soap is a short hand as well. You are not delving deeply into anything because you don’t have the time.”

“[CCAP is] going into its 12th season. We’re very excited about it. We use great actors and fabulous plays. And do it for juniors and seniors in high school who mostly have never been to a play before.

“[CCAP is] written into the curriculum of many schools within the greater LAUSD. It’s pretty great.”

On the current storyline...
“I am coming into this as a totally new, fresh character. I am not even involved, quite honestly, with knowing what is going on with [Victor (Eric Braeden)]. I just greet them as I see them as my character meets them.”

“I’m playing a modern day nun—blue jeans and shirts—who works at a mission in a water-front area helping homeless people, [and] people who seem to be in trouble. Helping them kind of pull it together so they can move forward.”

“I find this man, [Victor], is in trouble and I try to help him. And I don’t trust this woman, [Genevieve (Genie Francis)], that I meet.”

Getting into character for this role...
“It’s pretty straightforward. I have played a nun before. [For] some [reason] people… think [that because of my] red hair, I’m Irish or Italian—I’ve played a nun in a movie. So it is not hard at all. I just don’t swear.”

On fiestiness...
“Yeah, she is. …She’s a strong lady who knows what she wants to do. I have written my own back story. I know where she came from and who she is and what her life is like, but it has nothing to do with anyone’s reality but my own.”

On making a more perminent stay...
“Sure. I’m in a mood in my life where I am saying yes to a lot of things. I’ve been having a very good time.”

“I can’t imagine this character [being around] for a long time, but who knows? I may be reincarnated to something else. I actually don’t know. But the simple answer is, sure.”

On friends being Y&R fans...
“Yes as a matter of fact! It’s not something I ask somebody… but I have been surprised. There are millions out there, I mean I don’t know millions [of people] but I know many who have said how pleased they are that I am doing this.”

B&B Casting New Role!

Looks like the No. 2 soap is beefing up its hunk quotient: B&B has put out a casting call for a new, hot guy. The description reads: "Male. Caucasian. 25-28 years old. Heart throb. Very Masculine. Edgy. Not afraid to get the job done. Bit of a cad. CONTRACT ROLE."

Peter Reckell: "Nobody’s Going to Miss Bo More Than Me"!

It’s the end of an era for Days of Our Lives and actor Peter Reckell. After 23 years as Beauregard Aurelius Brady, known simply as Bo to friends, family and fans, the actor taped his final scenes on Tuesday, July 25. He spent the day before cleaning out his dressing room at the show's Burbank studio complex.

“I’ve been here for two hours, and I just got through the second drawer in my desk,” chuckles Reckell, while in the midst of cleaning up and moving out. He found a few treasures among the paper clips, pencils and assorted junk; including a card from deceased co-star Frances Reid (ex-Alice) that read: "Keep on acting, you’re good at it."
Reckell has mixed emotions about leaving Days. On the one hand, it’s an exciting opportunity to move on, explore and see what other challenges are out there. On the other, saying goodbye to Bo isn’t easy.

“Nobody’s going to miss Bo more than me,” insists Reckell, who’s already begun dealing with the separation anxiety. “Today, I got on Twitter just to tell people that these last few days have been trying. The weekend I kind of took a break, because it was so difficult.”

Before heading to the studio, Reckell had a heart-to-heart with his wife, Kelly Moneymaker. “I said, ‘It’s astounding the support and love that I’ve been getting over these last few days, these last few weeks,” says Reckell, referring to the time leading up to his departure from the soap. “I have the best fans. To know that these people -- yes, they’re going to miss Bo – but that they will be there for me, if I’m doing other projects... And I will keep them posted, as I’m going through the next phase of my life, of what’s happening.”

Those devoted fans sent Reckell dozens of goodbye gifts to commemorate and thank him for his portrayal of Bo, a character that catapulted to daytime fame when he joined the soap in 1983. “There were bottles of wine and cakes and chocolates... All those kinds of celebratory stuff,” he recounts. Among the cakes, there was one decorated with pictures of Bo from 1983 to 2012 and another with photos of Bo and Hope (actress Kristian Alfonso) that read: Holding out “Hope” for our hero to return. We Love You Peter, Team Bope!

“The fans also sent me an eco tour of Orange County,” continues Reckell. “You read it, and it’s quite astounding. The preserves, the oceans, the bird watching, and all that kind of stuff that you really can do in Orange County. Who’d have thunk it? So that’s really cool.”

Cast mate Peggy McCay, who portrays Reckell’s TV mom. Caroline, sent him off with a goodbye present, too. “Peggy gave me a lovely little gift; cologne and things,” notes Reckell. “She’s just so sweet. She always gives Loden gifts on the holidays and on her birthday. She’s like a grandmom. She’s so classy. I just love her.”

As for Reckell’s immediate plans after exiting Days, he’s embarking on a few trips with his wife Kelly and their daughter, Loden. “I’m going to go spend a couple of weeks with my folks in Michigan,” he shares. “Then, we’ll spend a couple of weeks with Kelly’s parents in Alaska. Then, we’re going to go down to Costa Rica for some time. We’re just trying to figure out what we’re going to do with the rest of our lives... what’s next for us.”

Fans of Reckell, no doubt, are hoping that whatever’s “next” includes a new acting project for their favorite leading man, so that they won’t be missing him for very long.

THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS' Billy Miller as Gabe Watson in 'Fatal Honeymoon'!

Billy Miller won an Emmy in 2010 for his portrayal of Billy Abbott in THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS. Another award may be in his future with his chilling performance as Gabe Watson in the upcoming Lifetime movie, Fatal Honeymoon. And now We Love Soaps has an exclusive clip of a scene from the film!

Based on a true story, Fatal Honeymoon tells the shocking story and controversy surrounding a newlywed who tragically dies on her dream honeymoon and the subsequent investigation as to whether or not her husband was guilty of killing her.

In the film, Alabama couple Gabe Watson (Miller) and his new bride, 26 year-old Tina Watson (Amber Clayton), married just 11 days, go on their dream honeymoon to scuba dive near Australia's Great Barrier Reef, where Tina drowns in what appears to be a freak accident. With authorities puzzled over Gabe's inconsistent statements about Tina's death, her father Tommy Thomas (Academy Award and Golden Globe-nominated actor Harvey Keitel) begins to suspect Gabe may have murdered his daughter.

CBS Nears End Of THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL Stylist's $6M Slander Suit!

A Los Angeles judge on Friday said he’s inclined to dismiss CBS Corp. from a $6 million defamation lawsuit accusing THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL producers of trumping up criticisms of the soap opera’s lead hairdresser to justify his termination.

“There’s no dispute about certain issues, certain issues your client has even admitted,” Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Richard Rico told plaintiff Carlos Pelz’s attorney Friday, pointing to a purportedly libelous memorandum listing producers’ complaints about the hairdresser.

Peter Bergman on the regime change at THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS!

Everything is sure to shift in Genoa City, with Jill Farren Phelps and Josh Griffith coming in and former showrunner Maria Arena Bell pushed out: What are your thoughts about the regime change?

It's always difficult to transition in anything. It will come with some difficulties, but frankly we've got a seasoned veteran coming in and we have in Josh a writer we're familiar with who did great things to help us in the past, so you go on with a kind of happiness just being here.

An essential player like you may not be concerned, but at a time like this, is there tension in the cast about who might be staying or going?

Frankly, the tension goes much higher than that - what writers, what producers will stay? It doesn't affect the actors quite as quickly. We have some people walking around looking a little dazed, but it's an exciting time on the show. We're heading into a really cool time, with this giant new commitment to making CBS [daytime] this juggernaut, and they're hoping to do it with us. We're thrilled with that.

Has there been any talk about what kind of changes to expect?

We're somewhat in the dark, at this point, but that will be made clear pretty soon.

Before this went down, did it feel like a change needed to be made?

Did I think it was time? I'm never a good person to tell you that. I literally just do my job. I wait for a script to be delivered to my room. The moment I see it, I open it and read it. I find out what's happening next.

Anyone who's ever interviewed you knows you definitely have opinions.

I have very strong opinions, yes. And I hope to god they come up with something for me, but I don't write story. I've gotten in my hair cut by the same person for 20 years. When I sit down and say, "I want a haircut," I get a good haircut. When I say, "Leave it a little longer on the top and tight on the sides," I get a shitty haircut. So I don't write. I want someone to put great stuff in my dressing room and I'll make it work.

How did you feel about the way Josh wrote for Jack during his last run (2006 to 2008)?

Josh wrote for all the characters and always took good care of Jack. Frankly, everybody is rolling the dice on these things. That's true from week to week with the same writer and that's true with transitions to new writers. You hope we're all on the same page. Every once in awhile, though, they come up with one thing – Maria said, "We're going to put you in wheelchair. What do you think of that?" Six months later, I am still in the wheelchair. I thought she was talking about a short-term thing! I've learned so much in this whole time, but that's the nature of things.

What are your hopes for Jack, now?

I hope that Jack always has Jabot. I hope Jack is a center of power on the show. And I hope Jack is always surrounded by family.

Gaskill Goes Dark!!

When Emmy nominated Web drama, THE BAY, kicks off its summer special, DARKSIDE OF THE BAY, viewers will learn that there's a whole lot more to Bay City than just rich folks and white sand beaches. Helping to tell the edgy tale will be soap opera veteran, Brian Gaskill (Rafe, PORT CHARLES; Bobby, ALL MY CHILDREN). "The [story] is about the show's younger characters getting wrapped up in this dark world on the other side of the tracks," previews Gaskill. "Lianna (played by Jade Harlow; Jessica, PASSSIONS) gets kind of [involved] in the prostitution ring that my character, Chase, works in as a pimp. I'm not the head honcho, but I work for [him]."

Gaskill has explored his own dark side before while playing AS THE WORLD TURNS' obsessive, BJ Greene, but the actor says that he approached this new character from another direction. "He's very different... laid back and soft spoken," Gaskill suggests. "Somebody who saw the dailies said that it reminded him of Mickey Rourke." The good news is that Gaskill's time in Bay City won't be wrapping up with the dog days of summer.

"Of all the magnificent roles we've seen Gaskill play, this is by far the creepiest," offers series creator Gregori J. Martin. "He was so captivating as Chase that I just had to bring him back for Season 3 of THE BAY [coming this October]." Also debuting in the special will be fellow soap alumni Rib Hillis (Jake, PC), Terri Ivens (Simone, AMC), and Massi Furlan (ex-Giovanni, GENERAL HOSPITAL). DARKSIDE OF THE BAY kicks off on Thursday, August 9, at 12 p.m. EST.

Bad Girls Are Back!!

Kimberlin Brown's Sheila terrorized both THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS and THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL, while Marie Wilson's Meg lost her marbles over on AS THE WORLD TURNS, and now both actresses are about to get a little crazy again!

In last summer's THE BAY spin-off, FAR FROM THE BAY, Wilson appeared on the Web soap as Peter Garrett's adoptive mom who lost her grip after losing custody of him, and Brown played her psychiatrist. And now both characters are set to return in the third season of THE BAY, set to debut in October.

"Yes, both Marie and Kimberlin will be heavily involved in a very intense storyline involving Bay City's matriarch, Sarah Garrett (Mary Beth Evans)," confirms the serial's creator, Gregori J. Martin. "We will get to see both women tap into that nutty side we so enjoyed seeing them play on ATWT, B&B and Y&R!"

Interview: Freddie Smith, Days of Our Lives!

Days of Our Lives has been entertaining daytime audiences for 45 years, making it one of the longest running soap operas. While the show has always been popular and covered some crazy plot lines, for a long time it was missing one key aspect: GLBT representation. Until June of 2011, that is, when the show introduced “Sonny Kiriakas,” a gay and proudly out college boy to the fictional town of Salem. Freddie Smith, a 24-year-old Ashtabula, Ohio native, plays Sonny.

Freddie said he was curious to see what the response to this character would be, but he said all the feedback from fans has been positive thus far.

“It’s a part of life and its important to show this part of life,” said Freddie. “I think it was the right thing to do; it’s a step forward. It’s including romance for straight and gay people. The character they have created is so colorful and three-dimensional. He’s such an interesting character.”

Freddie said he often gets asked how he prepared for this role, but he said there is no difference in playing characters with different sexual orientation. He is portraying love either way.

“My preparation was taking the past experience I have had and applying them to the show,” said Freddie.
The character of Sonny showed up to Salem very confident, but in an upcoming plot twist, he becomes a victim of bullying because his attacker, “T,” believes Sonny made Will, another young character on the show, gay.

“It’s very emotional to be bullied. When you go through it it’s a big part of your life,” said Freddie. “I’m hoping I can make an impact and show how bullying negatively affects people and make a difference. I think that everyone will be able to relate to this storyline, so it is important to the show.”

He said that viewers are going to see a different side of Sonny after he experiences being bullied. Freddie mentions that before Sonny came to Salem, he had much tougher time being openly gay. “It brings him back – he thought he was home free. Its disappointing to him,” said Freddie. “He was very bullet proof at first. You’re going to see that he does have flaws. You’re going to see Sonny make mistakes and deal with those mistakes.”

Will struggles with coming on out the show, something viewers didn’t get to experience with Sonny. Freddie said he liked they brought on the second gay storyline to the show, having one character that is extremely comfortable being gay and another that is dealing with the emotional experience of coming out.

“It showed that it’s great to have a support system. It made it easier for him to come out,” said Freddie. “It was a great idea that the show did.”

In July, Freddie spoke to congress during the Children Uniting Nation’s (CUN) seventh annual national conference titled, “Keeping the Promise to Our Children.” He encouraged legislation to be passed on bullying and the importance of keeping physical education in schools.

“I wanted to let people know that parents need to get involved at an early age. They need to understand that it isn’t just funny, it has a negative affect on people later in life,” said Freddie. “It was nice to be around a group of people who are trying to make a difference. It was an amazing experience – I was honored to even be asked to go.”

Freddie said he likes that his roles allow him to also act as a humanitarian and have a voice on political topics. Before playing Sonny, Freddie played the role of Marco on 90210, another openly gay high school student.

“This is a huge topic in society right now. For me, playing these characters, I have more of a platform to speak up,” said Freddie. “I’m very honored I can play roles like this and make a difference.”

Kristoff St. John on backburner status!

Hey my peeps! New program for Thursdays. Lets try posting "WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENIN' WITH WORK THIS THURSDAY?". And for those that are offended by the antithesis of Heaven; WHAT THE 'HECK' IS HAPPENIN' WITH WORK THIS THURSDAY?" Ima start this one off.

I'm actually off from work today, even though work at the Y and R Cheeze factory continues without me. I'm grateful for the day off, but honestly? I'd like to be more integrated into the summer fabric of the show. Who said actors over 40 years of age should go into hibernation to the deepest and coldest part of Siberia, while the youngstas get to play in the sunshine. Altho, there are quite a few of the 'over 40' crowd/actors that need their sunscreen and beach towels in Genoa City during the summer months. (these peeps will remain nameless, cuz I'm sure we know who they are) Maybe I've already perfected my 'tan' and need some meditative, 'yoga time' away. Whatever the case, I am grateful and happy to be working/gainfully employed on the only #1 Daytime drama on the planet, "The Young and the Restless". Here's the real kicker; Today? Since it's actually over 100 plus degrees in my neck of the woods, I think I will grab my Ipod, beach towel, and some lemonade and go work on my 'African Man Tan' at the beach... Sans Sunscreen. My real life is much mo betta than my alter egos life. (99.9% of the time) Thank God!

Sami runs away with EJ!

This week's Soap Opera Digest features an article about what happens to the Salemites after the explosion. Sami is dangling from the catwalk, and EJ can't pull her back up. Sami tells him to let her go, thinking that he'll be able to parent their children. Will arrives and is able to help EJ save Sami. EJ says he's going to go on the run, and Sami says she's going to go with him. Ali Sweeney explains that Sami is being impulsive but also wants to protect EJ, and that she'd "stand in front of him again" until he can prove his innocence. As for Lucas, Sami knew that when she went with EJ, "that would be a deal-breaker for Lucas". She's doing what she thinks is best now and will deal later with whatever happens because of it.

Sami and EJ go to a DiMera hideaway, and they kiss. Ali Sweeney explains that Sami has always been attracted to EJ, so now that what she's done isn't ok with Lucas, she's free to what she wants and it's "impossible to resist". Then EJ gets a call from someone who says they can help prove he's innocent. He leaves and Sami spills something on herself and has to change her clothes and the only thing available is a sexy dress that Silvio got for her. Then Rafe walks in and as Sweeney relates, "There is a lot of baggage and emotion and shared history that comes crashing back down on both of them."

Chick-fil-A: What It's Really About by Greg Rikaart!

The media blitz surrounding Chick-fil-A isn't about chicken sandwiches or Dan Cathy's First Amendment right to speak his mind. Mr. Cathy's company has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to organizations like the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, which publicly denounces the "impure lifestyle" of the LGBT community.

Furthermore, this company donated money to the Family Research Council, which supports the criminalization of homosexuality and states on their website that they oppose efforts for homosexuals to have equal rights. Can you even imagine -- your neighbor, your friend, your sibling or your child being criminalized for being who they are?

I posted a tweet airing my disappointment in Melissa Reeves (another member of the daytime community) for aligning herself with this company that financially supports the furthering of hatred and bigotry. I did so because I have aligned myself with organizations like GLSEN (the Gay Lesbian Straight Education Network) and the HRC (Human Rights Campaign) and I have read too many stories of alienated LGBT kids taking their lives after relentless persecution.

Whether grown up bullies like Dan Cathy and Melissa Reeves realize it or not, they are directly or indirectly telling these vulnerable kids that there is something wrong with them, or they are somehow less than. Nothing could be further from the truth. I'm certain of it.

I'd happily talk to Mrs. Reeves about this myself, but alas, she has not responded to me and has blocked me from having access to her twitter account. I have happily engaged in debates with people who have reached out to me in defense of her and/or their own beliefs. The knowledge that I might have the ability to change someone's mind or possibly get them to see the issue from a different perspective is worth the few naysayers who have sent me unkind comments. People often say "agree to disagree.' I think that's a cop-out. Frankly, the stakes in this case are too high to let the conversation end. Let's disagree and talk about it. Maybe I can better understand you and vice versa.

I'm grateful and encouraged that the majority of the feedback I have gotten has been very supportive and positive, and I am happy to use my bit of notoriety to stand up for what is right. Some people have accused me of bullying for expressing my disappointment in Mrs. Reeves. A man named Wayne Self likened this rationale to walking up to a bully on the playground beating up some other kid and then scolding them both for not getting along.

I was having a conversation with some friends last night and someone said "What's the end game on this Chick-fil-A issue?" My hope is that with all the media attention surrounding the issue, Dan Cathy would be open to taking a meeting with my friends Eliza Byard of GLSEN and Chad Griffin of the HRC. Maybe he can walk away from that with a better understanding of why his actions are so hurtful to the LGBT community, particularly the youngest and most vulnerable members of it, and maybe he will think twice about where his tax-deductible donations go.

Until then, I will not be eating at Chik-fil-A. On the occasion that I treat myself to junk food, I'll head out to KFC for some chicken, munch down on some Oreos or some Ben and Jerry's and wash it down with a Venti Iced Vanilla Latte.

Fifty Strokes of Gay: The Wonderfully Weird World of Filthy Olympic Swimming Fanfiction

If you can dream it, someone has written dirty fanfiction about it. There's sexy fanfiction about everything imaginable — from Thomas the Tank Engine to RENT to Rainbow Brite. Years ago, I followed a blog called World Cup Sexual Frustration, which alternated between posting pictures of soccer players, which is what drew me in the first place, and posting elaborate, graphic, hilariously bad fanfiction about sexual encounters with one or more internationally famous footballers, which is why I kept coming back (one particularly memorable piece detailed one daring flight attendant's orgy with the entire Spanish soccer team at 30,000 feet. One situation where it was okay for soccer players to use their hands! Cue canned 90's sitcom WOOOOO noise!). It should come as no surprise, then, that the XXX (heh) Olympic games, and specifically Olympic swimming, have inspired the pens and libidos of thousands of lusty fans who would just love to watch Olympic swimmers screw each others' brains out. If you've ever morbidly wondered what sorts of depraved thoughts lurk in the pool of the human mind, there's no time like the present to dive in to the world of the awesomely awful, and awfully awesome world of Olympic swimming and diving fanfiction. It might just be the next Fifty Shades of Grey.

In Which Michael Phelps Saves Ryan Lochte From an Overbearing, Undermining Father

In The Lies They Say, follow the journey of Ryan Lochte as he breaks free from the clutches of his evil, angry dad, helped by one very special 19-time Olympic medalist.

"Stop whining." Steven raises his hand to slap Ryan again, but the slap never comes. There's another hand, a familiar hand, wrapped tightly around Steven's wrist, holding it back. Steven's other hand lets go of Ryan and Ryan struggles to stay standing, pressing against the lockers and watching in shock as Michael turns Steven around to face him. Michael looks angrier, scarier, much more dangerous than Steven has ever looked.

"Don't," Michael speaks, low and slow, enunciating every word. "Lay another hand on him."

"Phelps." Steven nods, trying to pull his wrist out of Michael's grip, but Michael doesn't let go. "This is between me and my son."

"You have no right to call him that."

"Stay out of this."

"No."

Eventually, Mike Edward Cullens the evil elder Lochte from the locker room, and soon the two are making sweet, sweet, locker room sex. Complete with postcoital expressions of love.

Ryan stops. His whole world is spinning and he holds out a hand to keep himself steady. Michael is there, instantly, grabbing his hand and bringing it to his lips, kissing the center of his palm with so much tenderness that Ryan can't find the words to argue.

"Yeah," Michael smiles. "I love you. I have, for a very long time."

"You can't." Ryan shakes his head. "You're wonderful and I'm- I'm not. I'm not worth it."

Michael gives him a sad little smile. "You're worth it, Ry. You're worth everything, and it's killing me that you don't see that." He takes Ryan in his arms again and Ryan goes, half-willingly and half because he's too confused to fight it. "I can't believe I never saw it before," Michael whispers, shaking his head against Ryan's. "I'm sorry I didn't stop this before now. I'm sorry."

And they lived fappily ever after.

Tom Daley as a flirtatious, unobtainable imp.

Just to break things up a little from the fictional Lochte/Phelps lovefest, here's a selection of fictional stories about Tom Daley. The British diver is a chiseled teen with a hairless boy band face and a heartstring-strumming backstory. Naturally, everyone wants to fuck his fictional doppelganger. A sexy girl diver named Jacqueline does.

And lo and behold, in front of us was none other than Tom Daley. Oh wow. Now I fully understood why someone would have wet dreams over this guy. We had men in the South African diving team but damn no one came close, Tom is fit. I couldn't help but let my eyes trail over the contours of his body. His broad shoulders, strong arms and defined abdomen made me feel excruciatingly uncomfortable standing in front of him in my swimsuit. And I loved showing off my body. Hell I'd be naked like 75% of the time if I could. But that was beside the point-after trailing my eyes over the rest of him and I mean the rest of him, I quickly averted my attention to his face.

He had warm pools of dark brown eyes and an arrogant smirk was etched on his face. He had short, cropped hair that would be perfect for running your hand through when he would-"Do you like what you see, love?" He said.

In this bit of fanfiction called "Surface Cracks," Daley dives his way into the hearts of multiple members of British boy One Direction, another popular subject of fanfiction:

With all the people having imagination sex with him, it's a wonder poor Tom Daley has time to do any actual diving.
When he got back with the rest of the team, nothing had changed, except the thunder was a tad bit softer. Harry began to smother his hands with chalk dust when all chatter ceased. Liam turned away, his face bright red, and Zayn began laughing. Louis wolf-whistled. "What's so funny you gu-" he stopped mid-question as he spun around, seeing a fully nude Tom in front of him. He clapped a hand over his mouth, a whole world of emotions flooding through him.

Tom grinned and playfully winked at him. "Like what you see?" he teased as he rotated fully around.

Fiction Tom, you little minx.

Another tale of Ryan Lochte and Michael Phelps as totally-into-each-other boyfriends

In Paint, Ryan and Michael are a nesting gay couple in the middle of gut rehabbing their home.

Michael smiled and said, "Yes I did, but I think I missed a spot..."

Ryan looked around and saw no problems, the room looked perfect. "Where did you miss a spot? Ryan asked.

Michael kicked over the paint can and said, "There."

Ryan's jaw dropped as the paint got all over the old sheets that Michael had put on the floor and Michael leaned in for a kiss.

Ryan kissed him as Michael pinned him to the ground and said, "I just wanna do you in the paint..."

Ryan smiled and said, "Maybe I do like this surprise..."

Ryan rolled over so he was on top of Michael. Ryan kissed him and rubbed his hands in the paint and stroked Michael's face.

Michael rolled Ryan back over and rubbed paint into Ryan's hair, as he caught his boyfriend in a kiss.

Hope that paint was nontoxic, or at least washable, because I can't imagine the agony of trying to scrub dried paint off a scrotum.

Ryan Lochte is the new kid at Michael Phelps' high school.

At first, Michael's like, ugh this guy, and then they sort of start becoming friends. Ryan is a rock n' roll free spirit with a 'tude and Michael's a nose-to-the-grindstone nerdy swimming star. A match made in fanfic heaven.

The next morning in class Ryan's rolling a skateboard under his feet. He's in the same chair he picked yesterday, and Michael's not about to break from tradition by sitting somewhere else, so he takes his usual place too, which now apparently comes with a bonus Ryan Lochte on the side.

It's still too early to know exactly how he feels about that.

Today Ryan's wearing a t-shirt that says does your face hurt? cuz it's killing me and he looks at Michael seriously when he sits down and says, "Skateboard," like he's talking to a grade-schooler.

"Shut up," says Michael again.

Ryan grins hugely. "Don't be like that, baby. If you're nice I might even teach you how to use it," he says.

"I'm always nice," says Michael. "I don't really want to skate though."

"Then shit, man, I don't know if we can be friends anymore." Ryan shakes his head.

"We're friends?" says Michael. He means it to come out kind of…scathing, but mostly it just sounds curious.

"Jeah," says Ryan, nudging the board across the aisle and under Michael's desk.

But soon, their relationship turns blow jobby. The word "dick" appears 19 times. "Cock" appears 5 times. It's not for kids.

The Many Sexventures of Michael Phelps

London Olympic swimming fanfiction seems to focus on what sort of depraved things people's imaginations have made Ryan Lochte do, but before London, it seems like Michael Phelps was the preferred muse of the slash writer. In Michael Phelps, Bedhopper, the most decorated Olympian in history plays Donkey Kong with former US teammate Aaron Piersol — SEXY Donkey Kong.

Michael pops a boner and simultaneously makes Donkey Kong jump off a cliff. "Dude! That was just sad!" Aaron laughs in his ear, reaching over Michael's shoulder to grab for the game. Michael holds it away from him, laughing half at the fun, and half in embarrassment. Aaron takes this as a challenge, and pushes up on his knees to reach further. And then they're wrestling for it. Aaron climbs up on Michael's back, and he's bigger than Michael, heavier, taller, and stronger. His arms are also longer. He grabs the game, tugging it out of Michael's hands.

Surprisingly vile slashfic about the ongoing sex/swimming rivalry between Michael Phelps and Ryan Lochte

Here's the gist of And the Whole World's Just a Little Oyster: Ryan Lochte beats Michael Phelps at swimming, and then they start flirting, apparently as foreplay to really brutal sex..

"I beat you, you know," Ryan says, playfully shoving Michael toward the starting block. His hair's beginning to dry and his medal dangles away from his chest as he leans over Michael's back to his ear. He can see the glint of gold bobbing against Michael's spine, and he thinks, dude, this may be the most fucking awesome thing I've ever seen.

"For once," Michael counters, already shimmying out of his workout bottoms and boxers.

Ryan snorts. "Once is all it takes, bro. I think I've earned a piece of this," he says, slapping Michael's ass and admiring the red handprint it leaves behind. "And where better than the place it all went down?" He nips Michael's ear, hard.

Things escalate quickly.

"Whatever," Ryan murmurs cheerfully, pressing his mouth hard between Michael's shoulder blades and trying to pretend it's not a kiss, just something two guys high on a victory do to each other to blow off some steam.

The medal drags against Michael's back, and Ryan can tell he's got a pained expression at being beaten. "Can't you take that fucking thing off, dude?" Michael protests, but they both know that it's enough of a concession that Ryan isn't nipping down his spine with a fucking American flag grill right now. Ryan doesn't answer, just holds Michael apart with his hands and drags the pointed tip of his tongue across Michael's hole.

Shortly thereafter, sex is had. You can read about it if you want, but, I'm warning you that reading it feels sort of like the first time I saw a very detailed white out drawing of an erect penis on the back of a bus seat.

Ryan pulls his own pants back up and turns Michael around to face him. "Good to go, dude?" he asks, one hand on Michael's cheek, directing his face back to Ryan when Michael flinches away from the gold medal shining brightly against his tanned chest.

"Wait until the four hundred, asshole," Michael says, mustering up a shaky smile.

Oy.

This was just included for fictional Ryan Lochte's contribution to the dialogue

Michael pokes his rib. There's a spot he knows is ticklish, and Ryan slaps at his hand. "The winningest, that's who."

"I know, I got to hear you fangirl over talking to Obama for like an hour." Ryan's moving up his neck now, his body shifting so that he's almost on top of Michael's own. "I think you should take off your clothes."

"Uh-huh," Michael agrees, ignoring the Obama comment (because it was awesome, and whatever, Ryan's just jealous that Obama called the gymnasts and not him). "Sounds like a good idea."

"Fo shizz," Ryan responds.

For shizz indeed.

And, finally, a love triangle involving Ryan Lochte, Michael Phelps, and the world's new imaginary boyfriend Nathan Adrian.

In Taper, Michael and Nathan both have crushes on Ryan. The waters of love are far from smooth sailing! Choppy seas ahead! Things are about to get wet! Another water-related double entendre!

But Nathan Adrian is in France, restless, and seriously jonesing for a teammate. There is one person he knows he can talk to about this and luckily for Nathan, he's just down the hall.

The door is cracked so Nathan pushes it open only to pull it closed almost immediately. Seared on his retinas is the image of Ryan sitting on Michael's lap on one of the tiny European beds doing something … untoward. Without thinking he shouts through the door, "You're ruining your taper!" and then slaps his hand over his mouth. He's going to always be considered the goody-two-shoes of the National Team if he keeps this up.

The noise inside the room sounds like a pissed off Michael Phelps and a highly amused Ryan Lochte, so Nathan is only half-surprised when the handle on the door turns in his grip and is pulled open.

He is 100% surprised to see Michael in the doorway, though he is snarling. "What the fuck."

New Vince Vaughn Movie The Internship Is About Google, costarring Owen Wilson & Dylan O'Brien

A new movie, written by Vince Vaughn, called The Internship, is currently filming, and Google is the company that provides the backdrop for the story. It sounds like the movie will be more comedy than reality-based, and it will be interesting to see what they’ve come up with. In an interview with the Huffington Post, Vince Vaughn, who also stars in the film, said, “Owen [Wilson] and I lose our jobs and become interns at Google. We get free food, we get to play ping pong and take naps … We find a way to get into the intern program and try to get a job there. It’s fun to go back and do some R-rated comedies again.”

Some of the film is being shot at Georgia Tech. The school reported earlier this week:

Parts of Georgia Tech will soon be transformed into a movie set as 20th Century Fox begins production on “The Internship,” starring Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson.

Set preparations for the movie will begin this week, with production scheduled to wrap up on Aug. 24. Filming will take place at the following locations: Campus Recreation Center, Ford Environmental Science and Technology Building, G. Wayne Clough Undergraduate Learning Commons, Klaus Advanced Computing Building, Leadership Challenge Course, Noonan Courtyard and the Marcus Nanotechnology Building.

Someone from Georgia Tech posted a couple of images on Reddit (including the one above), showing a Google logo (hat tip to 9to5Google). The user (bport) wrote, “My college being turned into the set for a Vince Vaughn/Owen Wilson movie called “The Internship” where they play Google interns.”

In addition to Vaughn and Wilson, the movie also stars Rose Byrne, Dylan O’Brien, JoAnna Garcia Swisher and Jessica Szohr (to name a few).

The film is being directed by Shawn Levy, who has directed such films as Real Steel, Date Night, the Night at The Museum movies, The Pink Panther, Cheaper By The Dozen and Just Married (which starred Ashton Kutcher, who is playing Steve Jobs in a different upcoming film).

The storyline, according to IMDB, is as follows:

Two recently laid-off men in their forties, try to make it as interns at a successful Internet company where their managers are in their twenties. The film is scheduled to be released sometime next year.

This is a Juggalo post

The Insane Clown Posse is straight up pissed at the FBI, yo ... claiming the feds were WRONG for classifying their "Juggalo" superfans as a dangerous street gang ... and now the Clowns have lawyered up, hoping to sue the government.

ICP believes several members of their Juggalo faithful have had their rights violated ever since the group appeared on the FBI's National Gang Threat Assessment list in 2011.

The feds believe "many Juggalo subsets exhibit gang-like behavior and engage in criminal activity and violence."

But ICP is adamant their fans are getting a bum rap ... claiming Juggalos have wrongly been placed in the same catagory as "such notorious entities as the Aryan Brotherhood, Bloods, Crips and the Latin Kings."

ICP member Shaggy 2 Dope released a statement saying, "We are hearing too many stories from our fans about the trouble [being on the FBI list is] causing them. Just because you like a music group, doesn’t make you a criminal.”

The other ICP member, Violent J, added, “We’re not attacking the FBI, but they got this wrong. The Juggalos are not a gang, and that needs to be fixed.”

ICP has reached out to their fans ... seeking Juggalos who believe they have been mistreated by law enforcement because of the FBI's characterization of the group. The goal is to sue the government for discrimination.

Lena Dunham Mocks Kristen Stewart's Public Apology to Robert Pattinson

Lena Dunham is sorry -- just not K-Stew sorry.

Earlier this week, the Girls creator, 26, made a racially insensitive and particularly ill-timed joke, in light of the hate-fueled shooting that took place at a Sikh temple in Wisconsin Sunday. Dunham tweeted a photo of herself in a scarf wrapped to resemble a hijab and captioned it, "I had a real goth/fundamentalist attitude when I woke up from my nap." (Because of the head-coverings Sikhs wear, followers of the monotheistic South Asian religion are often mistaken for Muslims and subjected to the same discriminations.)

Dunham quickly realized her carelessness and deleted the tweet, issuing a stream of mea culpas. "Been in production and completely not reading the news. Didn't realize what a bad time it was to make a joke like that. Not a good excuse you guys, but an excuse nonetheless," she wrote Thursday. "I'm glad you keep me informed and I'm deleting those tweets."

Added the filmmaker, "Will spend tonight reading my pile of old NY Times, contemplating the boundaries of humor. I try and learn something new every day."

After one tweeter told her to disregard her Twitter-haters, Dunham replied, "You SHOULD apologize if you make a mistake! I mean, not to the K Stew level, but . . ."

Indeed, the apology issued by Twilight star Kristen Stewart -- who, up until news of her cheating scandal broke, had been notoriously private about her feelings for boyfriend Robert Pattinson -- has been picked apart by fans and critics alike as being over-the-top and disingenuous, a "too little too late" sentiment made public only to protect her image.

"This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob," Stewart, 22, said in her statement. "I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry."

Olympic Hurdler Kellie Wells on how she overcame rape and family tragedy

Olympian Kellie Wells has spent her life overcoming hurdles -- in both literal and heartbreakingly figurative ways.

After taking home the bronze in Women's 100m Hurdles on Tuesday, the runner, who was raped by her stepfather as a child, has pledged to use her success to help sex abuse victims, ESPN reports.

"I know my story is very common to a lot of people, and it's swept under the rug a lot," Wells told The Telegraph. "If I can help at least one person and show you don't have to be a product of your environment, you don't have to keep secrets, and you don't have to hide, that would be amazing."

Wells first shared her story after a torn hamstring prevented her from participating in the Beijing Games.

She detailed her childhood in a blog post -- explaining that her stepfather perpetually abused her in her own home -- and Wells ultimately revealed in an interview that, when she was 16-years-old, the abuse escalated to rape.

"It took a lot of courage," she recalls. "I knew it would have a big impact but I just thought of the 'little me.' There are a lot of 'little mes' that look up to me now."

Wells had long utilized track as an escape. She explains in an interview with NBC that long practices were a refuge from what awaited at home. After her mother proved unreceptive to her plea for help, Wells packed up and left -- only to hear one month later that both her mother and her rapist had been killed in a car accident.

But Wells persevered.

The hurdler's determination led her to Hampton University, National Championships, and, ultimate Olympic glory. It is now her hope, she explains, to devote her strength to empowering others.

"If I could save one person's life, help them get out of a terrible situation, to save themselves or to save their children, then my whole life, my whole career, is very much worth while," she said.

One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson proud Owner of 'football' team

Before becoming a member of one of U.K.'s most popular boy bands (One Direction), singer Louis Tomlinson played on a local football (well, soccer in the U.S.) team called the Three Horse Shoes team located in Doncaster, England. When the team was in dire need of new uniforms and gear, Tomlinson came to the rescue, but under one condition - he is now considered owner and honorary member of the pub side team.

And Tomlinson seems to be taking care of his team, as one source claims he supplied the boys with "a really smart set of Nike strips and has even arranged a sponsor - Yorkshire Tea."

Tomlinson will continue supporting the team's financial needs, as long as he's allowed to join in on a few games whenever his busy One Direction schedule allows him. The boys of the X-Factor pop band are currently rehearsing to perform at the 2012 London Olympics closing ceremony, which will be held on Sunday (Aug. 12).

According to one insider, the Three Horse Shoes "will have the best kit in the league and no shortage of tasty brews at half time in the cold winter months."

Today marks the one year anniversary of the release of One Direction's hit song, "What Makes you Beautiful." Fans are celebrating through Twitter with the hash tag "Happy Birthday WMYB."

Robert Pattinson reportedly contemplating reconciliation with Kristen Stewart

Robert Pattinson is contemplating a reconciliation with Kristen Stewart.

The Bel Ami actor's "anger" over his girlfriend's affair with her Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders is lessening, and he is now considering the possibility of reuniting with the actress.

A source said: "Rob was super-angry for the first couple of weeks. Angry at Kristen for ruining what they had, angry at her for the public embarrassment, angry at Rupert.

"But he's starting to wind down and really think about what he's going to do regarding his relationship with Kristen. He goes back and forth..."

The 26-year-old star has consulted his friends for advice on what he should do next regarding Kristen, 22, but their conflicting opinions have just left him more confused than before.

The insider explained to RadarOnline.com: "There's definitely some friends who think he should just move on from Kristen, but then there are others who still think Rob and Kristen really have a special connection and want him to give her another chance.

"He has a lot to think about and hasn't decided either way right now."

Robert is to make his first public appearance since the scandal broke on Monday (August 13), when he appears on The Daily Show to promote his new film Cosmopolis, and friends say he is "frazzled" by the idea of being asked personal questions.

The friend said: "Rob's always been a bit of an awkward, nervous guy, but his appearances in New York next week have him frazzled.

"He's keen on promoting his new movie, but he really doesn't want to address his personal life or the cheating scandal because he's just not ready yet and doesn't want to say anything he'd regret."
