5 Comic-Con Surprises Sure to Happen
Even if you've never set foot in the San Diego Convention Center for Comic-Con, you likely know that there are always a healthy number of surprises that aren't listed on the already-massive schedule. Last year, Warner Bros. dropped perhaps one of the biggest bombs in Con history, by simply unveiling a logo, the merging of Batman and Superman's iconic symbols that let everyone know the forthcoming Man of Steel sequel was, in fact, something much, much greater: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Marvel did the same thing last year as well, with Joss Whedon announcing that the Marvel's The Avengers sequel will be titled Avengers: Age of Ultron, thus revealing the main villain in the same breath.
Way back in 2008, my first year attending SDCC, I was covering what I thought to be a rather innocuous Disney panel. Keep in mind, this is years before Disney had Marvel and LucasFilm in their stable. Out of nowhere, the lights went out and a bizarre video started playing on the screen, and just as we realized who Jeff Bridges was really playing... Tron: Legacy was announced. No one saw that coming, at all, and when that logo was flashed on the screen (at the time, they were going with Tr2n), it created the kind of euphoric bedlam that both studios and fans alike crave, and is one of the reasons San Diego Comic-Con gets bigger and bigger every year.
With SDCC 2014 just a few weeks away, we were pondering what dirty little tricks the studios have up their sleeves, which secret will cause the 7,000 nerds in Hall H to lose their shit. Of course, the official schedule hasn't even been released yet, but that hardly matters, since the best moments at the Con won't be found in that handy little guidebook they give you with your badge every year. With that in mind, we thought we'd dig deep through the highly-anticipated movies and TV shows coming out in the next year (or two) to see if we can determine what the big surprises of SDCC 2014 will be.
First Look at Lex Luthor and Wonder Woman in Batman v Superman
After Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice director Zack Snyder gave fans our first look at Ben Affleck as the new Batman on the set this May, many assumed that we would be seeing Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman and Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor shortly thereafter. Sadly, that did not happen, leaving fans clamoring for a first look at these iconic characters. Since shooting is still ongoing, it seems unlikely that any footage will be revealed, or that any cast members will be there in person, leaving these photo reveals as practically the only viable option for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice to have a presence at Comic-Con, one year after the very announcement of the movie itself rocked Hall H to its core.
This will naturally happen during Warner Bros.' massive panel, where they normally roll out three or four different movies over a 90-minute or two-hour block. That panel will likely include The Hobbit: The Battle of The Five Armies, Jupiter Ascending, Mad Max: Fury Road and possibly San Andreas or Entourage. With such a potentially-packed panel, it wouldn't shock me if the studio managed to sneak in quick glimpses of Wonder Woman and Lex Luthor at the end of their panel, possibly starting a tradition of literally last-minute superhero details emerging as the presentation comes to a close.
Marvel Solidifies Plans for Phase 3 And Beyond
It certainly is an exciting time to be a Marvel Studios fan, as they are riding high on a wave of critical and commercial success of Phase Two blockbusters Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World and Captain America: The Winter Soldier, with Guardians of the Galaxy coming up next month and Avengers: Age of Ultron currently in production. While it remains to be seen if any Avengers: Age of Ultron footage will be shown, Marvel certainly can excite their fans in another way, by clarifying what the remaining movies in Marvel Phase Three are.
Ant-Man, Captain America 3 and Doctor Strange have already been confirmed for Phase Three, but there is already speculation that this phase could have more movies than both Phase One and Phase Two, which had five movies apiece. Thor 3 and The Avengers 3 will certainly have to be a part of Phase Three, and there has been talk of Black Panther coming into the mix as well. Marvel mastermind Kevin Feige revealed in August that the studio has their slate planned out up until the year 2021. Hopefully he plans on sharing some of that information with the fans in San Diego later this month.
First Look at Crimson Peak
Director Guillermo del Toro is currently in post-production on Crimson Peak, but the filmmaker is such a beloved presence at Comic-Con that I would hope he shows up with the first look at his haunted house thriller. Little is known about the story, except that it revolves around an author who discovers a terrifying secret about her husband, with an all-star cast that includes Charlie Hunnam, Tom Hiddleston, Jessica Chastain and Mia Wasikowska.
Universal doesn't have any major superhero franchises to flaunt or rely on, so I would expect them to pull out those proverbial big guns by giving fans a very early look at Crimson Peak, which doesn't hit theaters until October 2015, to build as much buzz as possible. The mere mention of Guillermo del Toro alone is probably enough to pack Hall H to capacity, so, while we may not get a full trailer, it's certainly possible that some footage may be shown.
Since we're feeling so generous, we decided to include two bonus surprises, one of which would put this year's Comic-Con light years above the rest.
That One Project/Announcement No One Sees Coming
Sure, this doesn't happen every year, but after the overwhelming reaction to Batman v Superman last year and Tron: Legacy in 2008, I don't see why a massive reveal like those shouldn't happen annually. Now, I'm not talking about actors who weren't on the official schedule "surprisingly" popping up, because that happens practically every day at SDCC. Do you think a project will be announced this year that will totally catch you surprise? Here are a few possible suggestions to throw out into the ether, just for shits and giggles. How about Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law abruptly showing up to announce Sherlock Holmes 3? Matt Damon and Paul Greengrass reveal their return to the Jason Bourne franchise? The possibilities are endless!
Disney Shows Fans the "Crawl" for Star Wars: Episode VII
If this actually happened, it would be one of the biggest bombshells in the annals of the Con, bar none. Hell, they even have an entire DAY devoted to Star Wars (Friday), every year, just to celebrate the iconic franchise, and given the immense hunger for any sort of new information regarding Star Wars: Episode VII, it would probably even be one of the most bootlegged/downloaded videos of all time. Disney/LucasFilm surely wouldn't be crazy enough to show their most rabid fans the opening crawl for Star Wars: Episode VII, would they? Even if they don't, I think they should strongly consider it.
When you really think about it, the iconic crawl, which has been shown before every Star Wars movie, is nothing but a glorified synopsis being beamed out into space, giving fans just a tiny bit of background information before diving into the story. The crawl never features any spoilers, or footage even, just words that have an indescribable amount of value to any Star Wars fan young or old, especially words that give us the first true details of the story that many have been waiting more than 30 years for.
It's worth noting as well that Disney is not holding its annual D23 Expo this year, making Comic-Con the prime venue for such a reveal, or the previoiusly-mentioned "surprise" of cast members appearing in person. However, I think the fans would still be even more surprised to see that crawl than to see the entire cast on the Hall H stage themselves.

Homes owned by a string of celebrities have vanished from Google’s Street View Map following draconian European privacy laws, it emerged yesterday.
Mansions owned by Sir Paul McCartney, former Prime Minister Tony Blair and singer Katherine Jenkins are included in those that have disappeared from the controversial online tool.
The popular map feature allows users to view homes, buildings and areas along almost every road in the world on a computer screen.
But following a landmark ruling in a European court in favour of people’s ‘right to be forgotten’, the computer programme has seen dozens of requests from the rich and famous to have their homes removed.

The house of former Beatles star McCartney can now not be seen on the 3-Dimensional online map, despite most of the London street that it is on being visible.
A click of the mouse to show the west London home of Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page also comes up against a blank. Street View users are instead left having to view the distinctive property from a long distance away – blocking out any of the home’s features.

The same barrier is in place at the Surrey home of Welsh mezzo-soprano Katherine Jenkins. This is despite it being seen by millions of people when it featured in a series of the BBC One’s Apprentice.The world’s biggest search engine has also blurred out the £5million Georgian townhouse in central London where the former Prime Minister Tony Blair and wife Cherie live.
Blair, who has made millions of pounds trading off his image and former office since leaving Downing Street, moved to the property, where he is continually protected by a police guard, in 2004.
The Cotswolds mansion owned by pop star Lily Allen and her husband Sam Cooper is also hidden from the public eye of Street View.
It comes as the disgraced former Royal Bank of Scotland banker Fred Goodwin’s £3.5million Edinburgh mansion was revealed to have disappeared from the Google application last month.
Goodwin, who was stripped of his knighthood, was held up as a figurehead for the bank’s disastrous crash in 2008 and the epitome of capitalist excess in the UK.
A Google spokesman confirmed that it has always been possible for users with a ‘compelling case’ to convince them to remove images of their homes.
But it has been hit by a huge increase in requests to remove data from its search archives after European judges ruled in favour of citizens’ ‘right to be forgotten’.
The legal decision means that companies holding vast quantities of data - such as search engines - can be forced to take down information which is deemed ‘inadequate, irrelevant or excessive’.
It also allows people to suppress embarrassing information about their pasts if it is no longer relevant.
Services such as Google Street View are thought not be covered by the ruling.
Google has already disclosed that it has been asked by MPs, celebrities and public figures to have search results removed. It has employed a team of workers to evaluate each request.

The Mail’s website, MailOnline has also received notification from Google of which links it has decided to remove.
They include a story about Dougie McDonald, who was a Scottish top-flight football referee who was found to have lied about his reasons for granting a penalty in a Celtic v Dundee United match; a story about Tesco workers posting stories on social media attacking their workers; and a story about a Muslim man who accused Cathay Pacific, the airline, of refusing to employ him because of his name.
The stories have not been removed by MailOnline, which described the move as similar to ‘burning books in a library’.

Who Is Hacking The Cast Members Of Glee? We Have Suspects
Hey, remember when someone (allegedly) hacked into Glee star Chris Colfer’s Twitter account and sent out a message to fans that he’d been “let go” for personal reasons? Internet users the world over aggressively overreacted immediately, because that’s how we roll, but, of course, before we were even done making our WTF faces, his publicist showed up to say the actor had been hacked. So, who could possibly dislike Chris Colfer enough to hack his Twitter account? Well, it seems the answer to that question has more to do with Glee and less to do with the actor himself because someone else from the cast just got hacked too.
Those who follow star Lea Michele were treated to a cute little message from her Twitter account announcing she was preggers today. Turns out that’s (allegedly) a lie too, as per her publicist, who swears there’s no baby growing inside her. Given the weird timing related to the Colfer incident, we’ll go ahead and believe her (and TV Line). If so, that would mean there is a serial hacker on the loose who is hellbent on screwing with the lives of the various cast members.
So, let’s take a look at the suspects…
A Pissed Off Ex-Glee Fan
You know how much hate Glee got when it first hit the air and everyone who wasn’t a part of its demographic would make snarky comments about how dumb it was for high schoolers to break into song? Well, all of those haters don’t collectively hate Glee even a fraction as much as real fans who were on board with the show for years and got really pissed off at the direction it took hate Glee. There should be support groups for these ex-fans because they really, really need to talk out all that hate inside.
So, yeah, it’s entirely possible one of them got so fed up about Rachel not getting the boot or fed up with some other Glee-related bullshit that they decided to take it out on Rachel and Kurt.
Likelihood: 50%
Dade “Zero Cool” Murphy
Look: if you’ve seen Hackers, you know there’s nothing Zero Cool can’t do with a computer. He caused a 7 point drop in the New York Stock Exchange when he was 11. At this point (he’d be 37 now), his skills definitely would have advanced to the point where he could hack into some Twitter accounts. The only question is why he would do it. My theory is that Acid Burn is super into Glee, and since she’s forced Zero Cool to watch it for years, he decided to take a little revenge.
And don’t think being a fictional character would prevent him from doing this. He’s overcome far more difficult obstacles – like Penn Jillette and Matthew Lillard.
Likelihood: 30% (I'm giving this 0% because it's dumb.)
Another Glee Cast Member
I don’t know if you know this, but everyone on Glee seems to hate each other, and there’s more personal life drama than we could ever discuss in two paragraphs. Naya Rivera might get fired. Poor Cory Monteith died. Heather Morris had a naked picture scandal. There are all kinds of weird rumors about Lea Michele dating a gigolo. In short, it’s one steamy pile of weirdness, and everyone seems to agree there are a ton of grudges on set.
So, maybe one of the cast members got a little pissed off about being demoted or getting bad storylines. Maybe there’s some tension about who has the biggest trailer or who got to shoot more takes of their big song. I don’t pretend to know how this works, but when someone dies, the police always look at the spouse. And when someone gets hacked, you have to look at their supposed friends.
Likelihood: 15%(100% tbh)

Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie to Film New Movie in Malta: Get the Details!
Looks like Brangelina liked what they saw in Malta last month. Following their June 7 trip to the European country to scout locations for an upcoming movie, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have decided to go ahead with their plans there.
"I'm happy that Hollywood producers have once again chosen Malta for their project, and we will be delighted to host Mr. Pitt, Ms. Jolie, and their family for the second time in just a few years," Prime Minister of Malta Joseph Muscat tells Us Weekly of the superstar couple and their six kids, who grew acquainted with the country when Pitt filmed World War Z there in 2011."I'm sure that this film will help put our beautiful sister island of Gozo on the world map," he adds.
A source tells Us Weekly that the commission is a "very special" one for Malta. "They'll be filming in Mgarr ix-Xini Bay in Gozo," the insider says. "The whole family will be staying in Malta for eight weeks, arriving at the end of August."
The project in question is "a love story," the source adds. Details are scarce, but it's believed to be the film that Jolie, 39, wrote. "It's not a big movie, it's not an action movie," the Maleficent star previously told Extra of the film, which would feature her and her fiance, 50, in their first onscreen reunion since Mr. & Mrs. Smith. "It's the kind of movie we love but aren't often cast in," she added. "It's a very experimental, independent-type film where we get to be actors together and be really raw, open, try things."

Ellen Page's baby daddy praises her for coming out
The 27-year-old actress made the revelation in a speech at the Human Rights Campaign's Time To THRIVE conference in Las Vegas in February (14), sparking a wave of supportive messages from her Hollywood pals.
Now Skarsgard, who was wrongly rumoured to be dating Page after they met on the set of the 2013 thriller, has spoken out to congratulate her for taking the brave step.
He tells Glamour magazine, "I'm extremely proud of her for being so strong and coming out and helping other young girls and guys out there. She's a great inspiration for other people. And the way she did it was so eloquent, so well spoken and she's so intelligent."

Victoria Beckham Celebrates 15th Wedding Anniversary by Sharing Throwback Pics with David
She wore a crown, he wore white tails – Victoria Beckham celebrated her 15th anniversary on Friday by sharing pics from her wedding to soccer star David."15 beautiful years," she captioned the first pic of her embracing her husband as, to quote the Spice Girls, two became one. "We feel so blessed and thankful for your love and support over the years. Such a special day x."
The couple tied the knot at Luttrellstown Castle in Ireland in 1999, and Victoria wore an ivory gown with a $17,000 diamond coronet on her head.
Their 4-month-old son Brooklyn was ring bearer at the ceremony, and the former Posh Spice shared a pic of the family, writing: "How cute is Brooklyn! Such a special day with David today x"

Big Brother Ignoring Gay Showmance
Reality show romances, otherwise known as showmances, are staples in the genre as a way to stir up drama, solidify alliances, and titillate viewers. But why is one of the juiciest and most fan-supported showmances on this season’s Big Brother happening off TV?
Big Brother contestants Frankie Grande and Zach Rance have been getting more than cozy on the reality show’s 16th season, airing now on CBS. The two men are part of a strong alliance of mostly male contenders, but have also made a Final Two pact with each other. They’ve been spotted snuggling in beds, draped around each other, checking out each other’s backsides, and talking about masturbation and lubrication. There’s just one catch — all of this flirtation hasn’t made it to air.
Big Brother runs 24/7 livestreams of house activities, and fans watch and analyze every move as they try to determine who will be evicted next. They also pick favorites (or pairs of favorites in this case). Fans have already dedicated blogs to the duo and are shipping the pair, even if the mainstream viewers have no clue there’s a potential showmance brewing between the two men.
The lack of incorporation into the televised show is, of course, rubbing fans the wrong way. Big Brother doesn’t shy away from focusing on romances, and there’s more than enough footage of the duo getting cozy around the house and forming a pact to make a plot point. There’s even footage of another pair of contestants talking about the situation, and Zach, who hasn’t declared a sexuality on the show, apparently told one housemate that he wanted to sleep with Frankie (in coarser terms).
That’s pretty juicy material ripe for inclusion on the main show. So what gives? Is Big Brother shying away from a gay showmance on air, or are they just saving it in hopes that things heat up later in the season between the two for a big reveal? Or do they just think the pair is bromantic instead of romantic and thus less interesting to the mainstream viewers? Regardless of motivation, fans are already frustrated that none of their canoodling is making the air.
“The fact that they still haven’t given Zankie any airtime is infuriating tbh. Like they could totally use it as a big plot device this season, especially given Frankie Grande’s huge following on and off the show. And it’s not like they’d be short of any footage,” complained Tumblr user dehltreice.
“It’s not even just the showmance. zack and frankie made a final two deal. that’s HUGE. if it was anyone else, i guarantee you they’d show it. so why not frankie and zack?,” said Tumblr user sansa-swifts. “Because it’s gay. the answer is because it’s gay.”
The fervor for the pair might be more than just their handsy nature in front of the cameras. Frankie is a YouTube celebrity in his own right, and also the older half-brother of pop sensation Arianna Grande. She’s been tweeting her own fans directly about her brother’s involvement on the show and managing his social media while he’s locked away in the house. This has lead to adorable interactions with Zankie fans wanting to know Arianna’s opinion on the matter.

Just In: Neymar has fractured vertebrae. Out of the World Cup
Brazil's team doctor says Neymar will miss the rest of the World Cup after breaking a vertebrae during the team's quarterfinal win over Colombia.
Neymar was kneed in the back by Colombia defender Juan Camilo Zuniga in the second half of Brazil's 2-1 win, and was in tears when he was carried off the field on a stretcher.
He was taken to a local clinic and team doctor Rodrigo Lasmar said after the match that the star striker had broken his third vertebrae.
Neymar is the Brazil's biggest star and has scored four goals for the team so far in the tournament.
Brazil plays Germany in the semifinals on Tuesday.

Megan Fox Goes Without Makeup in 1st Instagram Selfie
Did Megan Fox go "Valencia" or perhaps "Lo-Fi" for her first Instagram selfie? Unclear, but she did go au naturel!
Well, partially. The 28-year-old Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles actress, known for her glamorous red carpet looks, joined the popular social network on Thursday, July 3, and shared a picture of her appearing fresh-faced, wearing a bathrobe.
"First IG selfie. Early morning✔️no makeup ✔️filter✔️✔️," she said.
Her Instagram username is @the_native_tiger and her bio is pretty spectacular.
"Child of the Cherokee Tribe ... forest nymph ... Lunar Leo mother goddess to 2 bohemian revolutionaries-my kamikaze free spirit & my peaceful warrior," it says.
Fox and husband Brian Austin Green share two sons—Noah, 1, and Bodhi, who was born this past February. The actress shared photos of the boys on the Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Marvel Teases New Captain America On Steve Rogers' Birthday
On Monday, Marvel Comics fans will apparently learn the identity of a new Captain America, who will take the place (we assume temporarily) of Steve Rogers, who has been de-powered and is beginning to reflect his true age following an attack by the Iron Nail that stripped him of the effects of his Super-Soldier Serum.
That's according to a Fourth of July-tagged tweet from the official Marvel Comics account.

— Marvel Entertainment (@Marvel) July 4, 2014Most fans are speculating that October's solicitations will feature the first African-American Captain America to headline the monthly title, as Sam Wilson (The Falcon) is the top contender to step into Cap's blue chainmail while Steve Rogers gets things sorted out.
A number of other Marvel characters have stepped in to briefly act as Captain America during absences or crises for Steve Rogers, including Bucky Barnes (The Winter Soldier) and US Agent. Following Rogers' apparent death during World War II, the government created additional super soldiers -- none as effective as Rogers -- to fill the role as well.
One former Captain America, Isaiah Bradley, was African-American. His story, told in a stand-alone miniseries, paralleled the Tuskegee syphillis study.
Sam Wilson was one of a number of characters to step in as Captain America's sidekick or partner following the apparent death of Bucky. He is the only such character to have his name on the cover ("Captain America and Falcon") for a significant stretch of time. A miniseries by Christopher Priest and a number of high-profile artists bearing the same title was published years later.

Hilary and Mike enjoy a cosy family outing with son Luca to the Farmer's Market
Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie separated six months ago, but it sure seemed like the good old days on Thursday.
The couple was the picture of domestic bliss as they visited the popular Sunset Strip Farmers Market in Los Angeles, known for its artisan food, crafts and entertainment, with their two-year-old son Luca.
Hilary beamed a mega-watt smile as she strolled alongside Mike while cradling their little boy in her arms, the late afternoon sun fading behind the trees.
The former Lizzie McGuire star went casual in ripped black jeans, a charcoal sweat shirt, taupe ankle boots and a brown felt fedora, and although the ensemble was a bit mismatched colour-wise Hilary had the fortitude to pull it off.
The threesome posed for selfies and bought some tasty snacks that they ate right there in the open-space venue where the newly buff Comrie also managed to pick up a large rock.
Mike, 33, entertained his son by lifting up the stone, displaying sculpted biceps all the while beneath a white T-shirt paired with black jeans and black shoes.

Fourth of July: A Breakdown of America's Favorite Patriotic Songs by State
Is your favorite America-themed song "God Bless The USA"? If so, then chances are you live in Midwest or South.
What about Miley Cyrus' "Party in the U.S.A"? Then you probably live in the Northeast.
At least that's according to a study conducted by Paul Lamere, director of developer platform Spotify subsidiary The Echo Nest. He looked at data from the Fourth of July 2013 to determine what song the residents of each state listened to most compared with the previous week.
While Lee Greenwood's "God Bless the USA" was the song that popped up in the most states, other songs there were tops on various states included Whitney Houston's version of "The Star-Spangled Banner", Bruce Springsteen's "Born in the U.S.A", John Mellencamp's "R.O.C.K. in the U.S.A.", and America F--K Yeah" by Team America.

Kanye West reveals he first proposed to wife Kim Kardashian SEVEN YEARS ago
They tied the knot in a glittering ceremony in Florence, Italy, a mere matter of weeks ago.
And while it's no secret that Kanye West had a long-term crush on Kim Kardashian for years, he has now revealed the true extent of his almost decade-long obsession with his now-wife. The 37-year-old rapper halted his performance at London's Wireless Festival on Friday night to launch into a rant about discrimination within the fashion industry.
But the Yeezus star also offered a glimpse into his romantic side, revealing he first proposed to the 33-year-old reality star some seven years ago - five years before they finally turned their friendship into a relationship in 2012. Addressing the crowd in a bejewelled mask, Kanye said: 'F**k saving face and what it's supposed to mean, it's about living my dream.
'I told Kim seven years ago I would marry her and I made it happen. I just wanted to make something awesome and be awesome and change the world, and that's exactly what I plan to do.' Kim and Kanye, who raise one-year-old daughter North 'Nori' West together, were friends for many years before they found romance, with Kanye previously admitting he fell for the raven-haired beauty back in 2006.
Speaking during an appearance on On Air With Ryan Seacrest last year, he said: 'I just knew I wanted her to be my girl for a long time. I remember I saw a picture of her and Paris Hilton, and I remember telling my boy, 'Have you seen that girl Kim Kar-dijon?'"
The rap mogul's revelation came after he was booed by festival goers for halting his Wireless performance for 20-minutes to launch into an epic rant.
He told the audience: 'I'm not going to mention any names but... Nike, Louis Vuitton and Gucci. Don't discriminate against me 'cos I'm a black man making music.'
And it would seem the move didn't go down too well with the crowd, with audience members reportedly deserting the al fresco gig in droves.
One festival-goer told MailOnline: 'He was laying into the 'machine' and ranting about the public's perception of him. Hundreds of people left the park early because they were so bored of his long rant. 'There was serious booing towards the end of the speech, as people got so fed up and just wanted to hear him perform.'
Some fans also took to Twitter to express their annoyance at the fact that the superstar rapper halted his performance to get on his soapbox.
One wrote: 'Serious booing during Kanye's obligatory 15 minute Runaway rant at Wireless. Just get the f**k on with it mate. (sic)'
Another added: 'There is a time and a place to get on your soap box @kanyewest and #wireless is not the place.'
While one said: 'Kanye West getting boos at wireless, for ranting on stage instead of rapping.' Kanye - husband of Kim Kardashian - was the headline act at Friday night's Wireless, which also saw the likes of Pharrell Williams, Foxes and Ella Eyre take to the stage. The star is now also headlining the music event on Saturday night after Drake was forced to pull out due to illness.
The Hold On We're Going Home hitmaker released his own statement which said: 'To my beloved fans, it truly breaks my heart that I won't be able to perform as planned at Wireless and Roskilde this weekend. 'I got sick a few days ago and although I am on my way to bouncing back, my doctors have made it clear that I am not physically fit to fly or deliver the performance my fans expect and deserve from me.
'I will be focused on resting for a quick recovery. I have the best fans in the world and I can't wait to come back to make more incredible memories together.'
The festival, which previously enjoyed several successful years in Hyde Park, will this year span two sites V Festival-style - one in Birmingham and one in London.

Guillermo Del Toro Says He's Prepared To Do 'At The Mountains Of Madness' As PG-13 Now
Happy 4th! We’ll keep this brief because there’s #MURICA times to be had. You’ll recall that back in 2011, Guillermo del Toro announced that his long-gestating adaptation of H.P. Lovecraft’s “At The Mountains Of Madness” had been killed by Universal. The studio was apparently in love with the project, but didn’t like the financial-recouping prospect of a $120+ million movie with an R rating, so they shuttered the project.
As early as last year, Del Toro did say he would try to mount the project again, and now the “Pacific Rim” filmmaker is suggesting he could make it at his “new home” at Legendary Pictures. And of course, he’s now willing to do it at a PG-13 rating.
“I said to them, that’s the movie that I would really love to do one day, and it’s still expensive,” he told the Wall Street Journal. “I think that now, with the way I’ve seen PG-13 become more and more flexible, I think I could do it PG-13 now, so I’m going to explore it with [Legendary], to be as horrifying as I can, but to not be quite as graphic.”
“There’s basically one or two scenes in the book that people don’t remember that are pretty graphic,” he continued. “Namely, for example, the human autopsy that the aliens do, which is a very shocking moment. But I think I can find ways of doing it. We’ll see. It’s certainly a possibility in the future. Legendary was very close to doing it at one point, so I know they love the screenplay. So, we’ll see. Hopefully it’ll happen. It’s certainly one of the movies I would love to do.”
That definitely sounds fairly hopeful anyhow.
As for “Pacific Rim 2,” which now has a 2017 release date and also backed by Legendary, Del Toro suggested the sequel will be quite its own beast. “I don’t want to spoil it, but I think at the end of the second movie, people will find out that the two movies stand on their own,” he explained. “They’re very different from each other, although hopefully bringing the same joyful giant spectacle. But the tenor of the two movies will be quite different.”
See you in about three years.

Larenz Tate explains Hollywood’s Black film failure
There have been amazing Black films created that have been classics still watched in today’s households, but Larenz Tate recently spoke out about the film business changing and Hollywood’s struggle to effectively promote Black films.
Tate has starred in several timeless movies, including Menace II Society, Love Jones, Dead Presidents, and many more. The “Rush” actor said he feels Hollywood has changed since he started his career, and that the movie industry is stuck in one lane when it comes to Black films.
“With African Americans starring in a movie or an African-America story being told, you get one group of directors, producers and it just stays in that lane. We are very diverse; our stories are very different and we shouldn’t have to all go through one channel when it’s hot,” he told The Huffington Post.
Even the much-loved film Love Jones didn’t do very well in the box office. Larenz explained that in the ’90s, Hollywood exes didn’t know how to promote a Black movie that was different from the rest.
“When Love Jones came out it didn’t make an impact in the boxes because they didn’t know how to sale it because it didn’t have people with guns, or the man’s foot on their neck. Only thing that got hurt in Love Jones was somebody’s heart. How do you promote that to an audience that you don’t know much about?” he said.
