The family finally spoke up. A&E, make your choice.
We want to thank all of you for your prayers and support. The family has spent much time in prayer since learning of A&E's decision. We want you to know that first and foremost we are a family rooted in our faith in God and our belief that the Bible is His word. While some of Phil’s unfiltered comments to the reporter were coarse, his beliefs are grounded in the teachings of the Bible. Phil is a Godly man who follows what the Bible says are the greatest commandments: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart” and “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Phil would never incite or encourage hate.We are disappointed that Phil has been placed on hiatus for expressing his faith, which is his constitutionally protected right. We have had a successful working relationship with A&E but, as a family, we cannot imagine the show going forward without our patriarch at the helm. We are in discussions with A&E to see what that means for the future of Duck Dynasty. Again, thank you for your continued support of our family.
Leave it to Wes Anderson to introduce more than a dozen eccentric characters in a matter of 90 seconds.
Fox Searchlight has released a new trailer for Anderson’s “Grand Budapest Hotel,” highlighting the cast that includes Anderson favorites and seasoned character actors.
The first trailer, released Oct. 17, teased the plot, centering around legendary concierge Gustave H. (Ralph Fiennes), who has been accused of killing wealthy guest Madame D. (Tilda Swinton), and his protege Zero Moustafa (Tony Revolori).
In the new trailer, more of the cast is shown, including Edward Norton, Jeff Goldblum, Harvey Keitel, Adrian Brody, Bill Murray and Owen Wilson. It’s also filled with color, true to Anderson’s style, as well as a variety of mustaches.
The “American empirical picture,” as its called in the trailer, will premiere at the Berlin Film Festival. It will be in theaters March 7.
Did Lena Dunham compromise her feminist status with sleazeball Terry Richardson shoot?
There's still a sense that being down with the predatory behavior of guys makes you chill, a girl with a sense of humor, a girl who can hang—
Lena Dunham (@lenadunham) December 16, 2013
The release of R. Kelly’s new CD, “Black Panties,” resulted in a lot of press (and tweets). Not all of it was fawning reviews; Slate ran a piece called “R. Kelly, Terry Richardson, and the Power of the Bankable Creep.” As Slate notes, Kelly “has been accused of raping dozens of teenage girls” and “indicted on child pornography-related charges.” (Kelly was acquitted by a Chicago jury.) He also has recorded a duet with Beyoncé and performed with Lady Gaga at this year’s AMAs.
As their headline suggests, Slate’s Amanda Hess also took on creepster photographer Terry Richardson, the man who recently convinced Miley Cyrus to ride a prop wrecking ball totally nude for a music video. As Slate notes, “[Lena] Dunham has, however, been photographed by Richardson; he is a hipster staple and also her friend.” So, has Dunham compromised her feminist credentials?
Anyone who thinks I was saying anything but that R. Kelly is a sickening criminal is reading selectively—
Lena Dunham (@lenadunham) December 19, 2013
Someone implied my statement about R Kelly was invalid because I've had my photograph taken by Terry Richardson—
Lena Dunham (@lenadunham) December 19, 2013
Some did more than just imply it. Take Michelle Malkin, for example.
.@lenadunham You had your pic taken w/your BFF's perv, sexist ex-boyfriend Terry Richardson…naked from waist down. michellemalkin.com/2013/11/15/hol…—
Michelle Malkin (@michellemalkin) December 19, 2013
I responded asking that my feminism not be picked apart because of one PR experience. You don't learn to say no overnight.—
Lena Dunham (@lenadunham) December 19, 2013
Any man who takes advantage of any woman sickens me. That's all and that's always. No debate.—
Lena Dunham (@lenadunham) December 19, 2013
I am not immune to pressures. Learning every day. Have a beautiful holiday. I know I need it.—
Lena Dunham (@lenadunham) December 19, 2013
As Malkin wrote last month:
The silence is deafening. A depraved photographer accused of abusing and exploiting young models enjoys access to the entertainment industry’s hottest female stars, from Rihanna to Lady Gaga to Beyonce to Miley Cyrus. He counts “progressive” feminist celebs among his most intimate friends. He’s even photographed President Obama. But when confronted with his sordid history and career degradation of women, these elite friends of Terry have nothing to say.
don't give michelle malkin money by going to the flop source
also drag her all you want but can we do this without criticizing her looks pls
Well, we know what President Obama will have in his DVD player this week.
Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese reportedly headed to the White House on Wednesday to personally deliver the Commander in Chief a screener of “The Wolf of Wall Street.”
Before heading to DC, DiCaprio was at a Four Seasons restaurant lunch for the film with the rest of the cast — including Margot Robbie, who dished to us that her steamy sex scenes with Leo on-screen were actually “the least romantic thing.”
“The whole thing ended up being quite comical,” said Robbie, whose love scene with Leo involves a barking dog on their bed.
“We [had to] entice this dog to jump in the bed and bite at Leo’s feet . . . so we had dog trainers at the end of the bed [with] dog treats . . . we’re putting chicken liver on Leo’s toes. We’re in a small room, it’s hot, it’s sweaty, it smells like dog food.”
Leo and his “Wolf” pack had been at a premiere of the film the night before at the Ziegfeld, and he showed up at a Roseland Ballroom after-party with a posse of pals including Orlando Bloom, Tobey Maguire, Lukas Haas, Kevin Connolly and Jonah Hill. They then continued to party at Tao Downtown before capping off the night at 1Oak.
Reps for the White House, DiCaprio and Scorsese didn’t get back to us about the DC visit.
Dr. Will Caster (Johnny Depp) is the foremost researcher in the field of Artificial Intelligence, working to create a sentient machine that combines the collective intelligence of everything ever known with the full range of human emotions. His highly controversial experiments have made him famous, but they have also made him the prime target of anti-technology extremists who will do whatever it takes to stop him.
However, in their attempt to destroy Will, they inadvertently become the catalyst for him to succeed—to be a participant in his own transcendence. For his wife Evelyn (Rebecca Hall) and best friend Max Waters (Paul Bettany), both fellow researchers, the question is not if they can…but if they should.
Their worst fears are realized as Will’s thirst for knowledge evolves into a seemingly omnipresent quest for power, to what end is unknown. The only thing that is becoming terrifyingly clear is there may be no way to stop him.
Mike WiLL Made-It has been killing it since 2011, but 2013 was the producer's career-defining year. His steady ascent into super-producer stardom has been fueled with a collection of hits that traverse ideas of what genres should sound like. While Mike WiLL has remained a prominent force in Hip-Hop – working with the likes of 2 Chainz, Drake, Kanye West, and many others – he’s thoroughly dipped his MPC into other sonic ponds. We all know he gave Miley Cyrus’ career some mouth-to-mouth when he exec. produced her album Bangerz – but it was in March that Ciara’s “Body Party” dropped. With its gentle basslines and slippery synths, sampling and riffing on "My Boo" by Ghost Town DJ's, it single-handedly propelled CiCi right back into the conversation, and was arguably the biggest R&B single of 2013. Without Mike WiLL’s soundbed, the track might have never been what it was. He details the song’s journey below.
"I feel like “Body Party” was really the biggest R&B song this year. I don't know about numbers and whatnot, but I just know that as far as how it came through and how it took over the radio, it really took over. It started because I had this perfect beat for Ciara. L.A. Reid introduced us, and they were trying to get us to work together, and then we had one session and we had worked on some stuff but we didn't really get anything out of it. Then Future was working on a project, and Future was like, 'We got to get something crazy for Ciara,' and I was just like, 'Yo dog, I got this beat I let her hear when I first met her, and I just know that that's the one for her. I'm not going to give this beat to anybody else.' And he was like, 'Let me hear it,' and then he heard it and then when she came to him about writing, it was pretty much the same thing. He was like, 'Yo Mike WiLL has this one beat that he let me hear, I want to see what we can come up with to it.' And then they just started working on it, and they just kept working on it, and we were all just vibing in the studio. We just worked on it for a minute, and then they went off to New York and finished it up. They were moving around and just working on it in different cities and it ended up coming out like that. Then I changed up the beat to match it a little bit more so it had like a new bounce – it's a new sound for R&B – and it ended up being “Body Party.”
Really man, Ciara is real cool. She's good at taking direction. She has good ideas herself. She has good taste and she's one of those cool artists. Pretty much any artist you ever see me work with is pretty much a cool artist. It's not like no artists that's on no extra shit. I don't work with artists that's on extra shit. I work with artists that's cool and that's about their business and that's creative and that loves making music, and she's one of those types of people. She loves making music, she loves new ideas, she loves trying new things, she loves beats. She's not just going to get on any beat. She knows pretty much what she's looking for, but if you have a dope idea and a dope vision for her, she'll hear it out, and then she'll run and go in on it how you want her to. She'll collaborate and be like, 'Oh I want to say this, I won't say that.' So she's pretty much like that.
We knew that the song was going to work too. That's why we threw out “Wake Up No Make Up", just because we knew that was a cool song, but that's why “Wake Up No Make Up” didn't get the look. It didn't get a video, it didn't get the push that it was supposed to get because we knew what we had with “Body Party.” So we just kind of cancelled that out and threw “Body Party” out because we knew what it was going to be. That was just like the perfect Ciara record. It's a slow one that makes people want to move. When it comes on, it makes people want to dance. People know all the words."
First single before Body Party
The boys performed "Midnight Memories," their next single.

A&E knew all about "Duck Dynasty" star Phil Robertson feelings toward gays when it hired him -- because the guy openly preached that gays were going to hell years before the series started.
Take a look at the video (above) of a 2010 sermon at Berean Bible Church in Pennsylvania ... it's pretty much your typical bible-thumping drill. Phil calls gay people shameful, perverse, heartless, faithless, senseless God haters ... destined for the burning pits of hell.
So with that backdrop ... A&E hired Robertson ... then allowed him to do an interview with GQ where it HAD to know the reporter would ask questions about his feelings toward gays ... and then when he answered honestly A&E punished Robertson.
Robertson may be misguided, but A&E is being dishonest for feigning shock about something it definitely knew all about.
Totally not hateful, guys.
While on a visit to Disneyland Paris with a group of under-privileged youngsters and some young carers, the quartet were given pouting tips from Minnie. Posing for a snap with the girls, she instructed them to blow kisses and taught them how to put one leg on show while being photographed.
The former X Factor winners were accompanying a group of youngsters on a pre-Christmas treat to Disneyland Paris, having been flown over from London on a chartered plane.
The children, who either come from under-privileged backgrounds or are young carers, said it was a "dream" trip.
The youngsters, including some who care for seriously ill or disabled parents, were nominated for the visit by the Carers Trust and ASTA, a community hub in a deprived area of Silvertown, east London.
Little Mix, along with former X Factor hopeful Rylan Clark and the group of children, watched a Christmas parade featuring some of Disney's best loved characters including Mickey, Minnie, Woody, Buzz and Donald Duck.
They clapped and sang along to the music as Perrie Edwards, who donned a Black Russian-style hat and white coat, filmed the procession on her mobile phone.
She confessed that all she wants for Christmas is "lots and lots of chocolate", which will mean an easy shopping trip for her fiance, One Direction's Zayn Malik.
Meanwhile band mate Jesy Nelson, 22, said she would be content with a sell-out tour.
Perrie said: "We're having the most amazing day with the children, they're having so much fun. Flying Start is an amazing charity."
Fellow singer Jade Thirlwall added: "We've met the kids they're so sweet, and lovely. We just hope that today is the best day ever for them."
The girls also gave some advice for newly crowned X Factor winner Sam Bailey.
"She should just take each day as it comes and enjoy it," said Jade. Leigh-Anne Pinnock added: "Be yourself, be humble and don't change."
Rylan also had some words of wisdom for the singer, he said: "Sam is such a lovely girl. she's so grounded, she just needs to stay grounded and she'll do fantastic.
"With that voice she can sing anywhere she wants."
The Little Mix girls are a little upset by how boring Perrie Edwards has become since she got engaged.
The DNA hitmaker accepted Zayn Malik’s proposal of marriage in August and her bandmates have revealed that she’s like an ‘old woman’ now and rarely joins them on nights out or social events.
The blonde beauty is said to be planning her wedding for 2015 and in a recent interview Zayn admitted that he’s ‘excited’ about starting work on the details this Christmas.
However Leigh Anne Pinnock, Jesy Nelson and Jade Thirlwall would like to see less planning and more partying from their pal they’ve revealed.
In an interview with We Love Pop magazine, Perrie was asked if she had become like an ‘old married woman’ since becoming engaged.
Leigh Anne jumped in first and replied: ‘Ha Ha, she’s a bit of an old woman. She just won’t come out. But when you do you’re so much fun, it’s annoying. Come out more, Perrie!’
Jesy insisted: ‘She is! She’s become and old woman!’
However Perrie defended herself and told the magazine: ‘No! I still love to party. I’m not a boring fart.’
However her parties are very sedate affairs as she added: ‘I’m not massively a fan of partying and clubbing, to be honest, I’d much rather do something else. It’s probably because I don’t drink….’
Nelson then tried to defend her friend and admitted that she understands why the blonde beauty becomes a recluse when her boyfriend’s in the country.
She gets why they want to spend every minute together when they get the chance and said: ‘I think the thing is that you and Zayn don’t see each other that much so when we get days off we wanna go on a night out but Perrie wants to see him. That’s totally understandable.’
Zayn Malik is one fifth of one of the biggest boybands in the world, so it comes as no surprise to hear that the 1D stud doesn't have a lot of spare time. According to his mum, the Bradford-born hottie is still yet to set a wedding date to Perrie Edwards!
In a candid interview with the BBC, Trisha Malik opened up about her son and what she thinks of the Little Mix babe.
"Perrie is a lovely girl and I get on really well with her," Trisha revealed. "They're thinking of the end of next year, although no date has yet been set yet".
Zayn and Perrie announced their engagement a couple of months ago and have stayed pretty quiet in terms of wedding plans so far, but Trisha is hoping the nuptials will take place sometime in 2014.
The superstar's mother is also hoping once the showbiz couple decide to have kids they will live nearby.
She added: "If they have children I wouldn't like to be so far away from them. I would really like to still be part of their lives".
With Christmas looming, it looks like both the Malik and Edwards families are set to celebrate the festive activities together in London.
"I will cook the dinner," she continued. "Perrie and her mother will be there and we'll open presents, play games and stuff our faces.”
This has been popping up all over Twitter and Tumblr. No official confirmation yet but yasssss at LM getting that exposure!

Earlier this year, we learned that the name “Arya” was the fastest-rising name for female babies in 2012, and now characters from the Song of Ice and Fire series by George R. R. Martin — and its HBO adaptation — have extended their reach into a new sphere entirely: sea slugs.
As described in a recent paper by Felipe de Vasconcelos Silva, Victor Manuel De Azevedoa and Helena Matthews-Cascona for The Journal of the Marine Biological Association of the United Kingdom, a new sea slug in the family Tritoniidae was recently discovered off the northeastern coast of Brazil. It was named Tritonia khaleesi after researchers wisely saw a resemblance between the pale plumes of the slug and the blond, braided hairstyle of a certain Game of Thrones character: Daenerys of House Targaryen, First of Her Name, Queen of the Andals and the First Men, Lady Regnant of the Seven Kingdoms, Mother of Dragons, Breaker of Chains, and of course, Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea.
de Vasconcelos Silva told the Brazilian website Papelpop that the slug was particularly reminiscent of the Khaleesi’s hair “in the last episode of the first season of the show.”
According to the paper, “internally, T. khaleesi sp. nov. is distinguished from other tritoniids by jaws with 10–14 rows of denticles on the inner lips, absence of stomach plates and the radular formula 32 × 2–126.96.36.199.2–5 teeth.” It is known.
Taylor Swift vs Tina Fey and Amy Poehler
Actors Tina Fey and Amy Poehler ruffled a few feathers when they poked a little fun at singer Taylor Swift's turbulent love life at the Golden Globes, warning her to "stay away from Michael J. Fox's son."
Swift hit back in a highly publicized interview, reciting a famous quote, "There's a special place in hell for women who don't help other women.'"
In response, Amy subtly mocked Taylor, saying, "Aw, I feel bad if she was upset. I am a feminist, and she is a young and talented girl. That being said, I do agree I am going to hell. But for other reasons. Mostly boring tax stuff."
Jimmy Kimmel vs Kanye West
Rapper Kanye West launched a feud with late-night host Jimmy Kimmel after he aired a skit mocking the rapper's BBC interview, inciting heated phone calls and tweets from the singer.Kimmel later explained to fans, "Kanye West called me about an hour-hour and a half ago in my office. He is very angry because of a bit we aired this week. He gave an interview to the BBC-and we had a kid actor take the words and reenact it."
Kim Kardashian vs Katie Couric
Reality star Kim Kardashian got miffed with talk show host Katie Couric, and took to Instagram to let her fans know.
Couric recently expressed her feelings about the Kardashian clan to a popular magazine saying, "I don't understand why are they so famous? I think it's mostly teenage girls that are interested."
Kim responded by posting a photo of the gift Katie sent for baby North West with the caption, "#IHateFakeMediaFriends
Frances Bean Cobain vs Kendall Jenner
Frances Bean Cobain, daughter of Courtney Love and the late Nirvana singer Kurt Cobain, didn't appreciate Jenner's tweet, "Just wish things could be easier sometimes mann."
Frances responded, "Oh shh. There are kids on earth abandoned & homeless who forcibly drink contaminated water because clean water isn't accessible."She continued, "Oh ya, not to mention, CANCER, famine, poverty, draught, disease, natural disasters, Death. F***, Humans are so self involved...I'd like to thank my parents for providing me with a high IQ & I'd like to thank my grams for encouraging me not to be a self absorbed idiot."
Miley Cyrus vs Sinead O'Connor
Singer and songwriter Sinead O'Connor did not take kindly to singer Miley Cyrus' mockery of Sinead's past mental health issues.
The Irish songstress wrote an open letter to the singer, telling Miley to stop letting herself become "prostituted" by the music industry.

Jonah Hill remains undecided about taking on the sequel. Sony will only move forward if two major stars sign on.
Last month, we reported that Emma Stone and Jonah Hill were offered roles inGhostbusters 3. Today we have word that Emma Stone has passed on the role of Anna, while Jonah Hill has not decided whether or not to take the role of Jeremy.
Here’s what Schmoes Know’s source dubbed “The Phantom” had to say.
“Emma Stone is passing on “Anna” but Jonah Hill still has an offer out for “Jeremy”. Interesting enough, Sony wants two big stars signed on or they will not green light the picture.”
While no story details have been confirmed by the studio, it has been long believed that the plot follows a new crop of Ghostbusters, trained by Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis andErnie Hudson from the original trilogy.
We also reported last month that production was being eyed for a spring 2014 start in Cleveland, although it seems this long-gestating sequel is still a long way from getting off the ground.
Ivan Reitman is still attached to direct from a script by Etan Cohen. Gene Stupnitsky andLee Eisenberg wrote the original draft.Ghostbusters 3 is in development and stars Sigourney Weaver, Anna Faris, Eliza Dushku, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, Annie Potts, Ernie Hudson. The film is directed by Ivan Reitman.
Emma has nothing to worry though she has 4 films slated to release next year which include Birdman, The Amazing Spiderman 2, Magic In The Moonlight (Woody Allen Film) and the still Untitled Cameron Crowe Project.
Ellen fell in love with his performance in "Fruitvale Station," and she wanted him on the show right away! He was here for the first time, and told Ellen about the amazing film.
She even has her own boxer-briefs @theellenshow 4pm on NBC. Ellen is one of the realest! Thanks for having me!
Also starring Miles Teller and Imogen Poots, the film tells the story of three best friends who find themselves where we’ve all been – at that confusing “moment” in every dating relationship when you have to decide “So…where is this going?”
That Awkward Moment is set to his theaters on January 31, 2014 – be sure to check it out when it’s out!
