It seems that the holidays will not change the mind of Laura Zapata on a possible reconciliation with the Sodi sisters, because they are not sure that your family and even commented on the star that Thalia received on the Walk of Fame in Hollywood.

Laura doesn’t think Thalia should have received a star. She slammed Thalia by saying: "What achievements? For someone who has done three telenovelas? I don't really want to talk about it. They should give her a plaque for being the worst granddaughter!"

"Family is not with whom you share blood, but who is with you, who supports you, calls you, who creates bonds of love and respect, that is not my family," said the actress.

Meanwhile, the actress revealed to us that the New Year she will celebrate with work: "We will work on December 31, there will be dancing, a show, dinner, so we invite all our friends."

In addition, next year she could surprise us with his return to telenovelas: "We're in some meetings, but is a great character, she is the villain of the story and people want to see me."

Sean "Diddy" Combs, who is a proud papa to six children, gathered up his gang to pose for a festive and fancy Christmas card.

The three mothers of the 44-year-old rapper's children are not featured in the holiday fun but his twin daughters D'Lila and Jessie, daughter Chance, sons Justin and Christian along with his stepson Quincy all smiled sweetly together for the photo.

His adorable girls were dressed in uber-stylish black dresses while the boys all donned dapper tuxedos.

"Happy Holidays from the Combs Family!," he captioned the image that he shared with his over nine million followers on Twitter.

The "all black everything" attire is similar to the fashion the Kardashians wore this year in their annual famous family Christmas card.

justin bieber's paternal grandparents not invited to his premiere

Justin Bieber‘s grandparents Bruce and Diane Dale couldn’t have seemed more proud as they walked the purple carpet at the Hollywood premiere of Believe last night. But hundreds of miles away in Canada, it was just another weeknight for his paternal grandparents, George and Kathy Bieber. All but abandoned by their superstar grandson, they sometimes feel “he doesn’t care,” George has said. And some days, they barely recognize the man he has become.

Reached at his home in Mitchell, Ontario, George admitted that he would have liked to have attended the premiere in L.A. — if he had been invited. As for his relationship with Justin, George sighed heavily before answering, “I really don’t want to talk about it.”

Just months ago, George potentially ended all hope for a relationship with his wayward grandson when he spoke out to bash his bad behavior.
“It’s like we now live on different planets,” George told the New York Daily News in April. “He never calls us, and now I sometimes think he doesn’t care. It does make me sad, as right now our lives are pretty desperate.”
“I can’t work due to illness, so there is barely any money coming into the house,” he explained. “His grandma has a bad back, too, but works like a dog hauling huge bags of paint powder 40 hours a week.”
Bieber’s maternal grandparents have thrived off his riches, but not so much for the paternal side, the pop star’s paternal grandfather George said.
“For them, nothing seems to be too much trouble, and he buys them new houses, cars, luxury holidays, anything they want — but for us, nothing.”
Justin “has just got too big for his britches,” George insisted. “He will always be my grandson, and I am and always will be so proud of him. It’s just sad that he is not a bigger part of our life.”

Michael Jackson’s children speak candidly about their father in documentary

blanket

The world is hearing from Michael Jackson’s youngest son for the first time since the King of Pop’s death.

Eleven-year-old Blanket gives fans a rare glimpse of his sweet personality and future plans in excerpts of a video interview posted online and shared with ABC’s “Good Morning America.”

The youngster was only seven years old when Michael died in 2009 and says he shares his famous father’s love of animals and interest in conservation.

“I’m just trying to help, like Africa, because that’s a very poor continent,” Blanket says in the new video clip obtained by GMA.

“There’s a lot of animals being killed from like poachers and stuff, so I want to help, like, endangered species of animals,” he explains.

The video interview is part of a documentary film project organized by matriarch Katherine Jackson, 83, that’s being promoted online.

Katherine is asking fans to donate to the pay-per-view effort at the website fundanything.com/rememberingmichael.

The sneak-peek trailer posted online also includes excerpts from interviews with Michael’s two older kids – Prince, 16, and Paris, 15 – as well as their grandfather Joe Jackson, 85.

It shows Paris with the long hair she had prior to her suicide attempt over the summer and subsequent hospitalization.

“He promised me he would teach me how to moonwalk. Never got around to it,” Paris says in snippets of her interview. “I will definitely never forget him, ever. He was amazing.”

She and her siblings talk about growing up at Neverland Ranch in the years before Michael’s criminal trial, his move to Las Vegas and his ill-fated attempt at a comeback with his doomed “This Is It” concert series.

“We didn’t know a lot of kids, like, our age. We were more secluded. We never really left the ranch that often,” Paris says.

“We had kind of like a zoo basically. Giraffes, lions. You probably heard of it, but yeah, a chimp named Bubbles,” recalls Blanket, who is seen wearing a green polo shirt and the same long hair he had when Michael died.

“It took me till I was like six years old to learn that his name was Michael Jackson, because he was always daddy to me,” Prince tells the camera. “He wanted us to always be, like, what we wanted to be, just be greater at it than anybody else has ever been.”

The video excerpts include shots of intimate family photos, including the kids wearing masks in public.

At one point, Blanket seems to scold outsiders who put his family under a microscope.

“It’s not right to invade someone’s privacy like that,” he says without elaboration.

Joe Jackson, who remains married to Katherine but isn’t allowed to live with her and Michael’s kids, says a fortune teller once predicted Michael’s astounding fame.

“Mr. Jackson, that boy there, that boy right there, he’s going to be the biggest entertainer in the world,” Joe recalls the woman saying many decades ago.

Joe claims he sees similar potential in Blanket.

“They also say there will never be another Michael Jackson, and I say, we already have one,” he says about Blanket. “He just has to be trained. That kid is the spitting image of Michael when Michael was smaller.”

Katherine says she previously put her foot down when Paris sought the spotlight.

“Paris wants to be an actress, but I wouldn’t let (her) go into being an actress. She thinks it’s good, but it’s a lot more work than she thinks it is,” Katherine says.

The film project has a fundraising goal of $3.2 million.

It had contributions of $1,048 as of Monday afternoon.

“We miss Michael very much, and this film shows how much we love him,” Katherine says in the online trailer.

Michael named only his three kids and Katherine as heirs to his estate. When Katherine dies, her portion will revert to the trust and be divided among Paris, Prince and Blanket.

The video project is not affiliated with the estate, so it appears any profits could help support other members of the Jackson family.

“I’m inviting all of Michael’s fans to join me, Prince, Paris and Blanket to finish this wonderful project. Please join us,” Katherine says. “I’d love to have you.”

Future Oscar-nominee and all around ethereal super being, Lupita Nyong'o, appeared on ARISE 360 recently where she cried while discussing 12 Years A Slave.

If you're wondering what brought Lupita to tears, the moment came when she described the emotional toil the brutal whipping scenes took on her. She told that hosts that she realized her "suffering" was temporary while the scenes she filmed where the actual reality of slaves.

Also, Alfre Widdard and Lupita discuss their toughest scenes:

The moment was really emotional and you can tell how 'real' Patsy is for her. I love her and hope she wins ALL THE AWARDS.

Best comment to describe Lupita's beauty goes to faunyoudork: "I can't stand to look at her. witnessing her beauty (in fucking PICTURES ONLINE nonetheless) is like finding a colour no one has ever seen before. You just can't comprehend that shit and you wish your mind would just explode and kill you already so you never have to deal with it again."

Fun fact: Lupita joined Instagram recently and (SURPRISE!) she remains flawless while doing so.

Best Dressed Couples of 2013

It wasn't just Kanye West and Kim Kardashian who had us fawning over celebrity couple red carpet style this year. There was plenty to adore (and often envy) when duos like Joshua Jackson and Diane Kruger hit the town in his-and-hers designer duds. It's not often that a star's willing to share the spotlight, but in the case of these stylish couples, the pleasure was all ours!

They don't come much smoother than James Bond, and Daniel Craig did his alter ego proud by looking debonaire with his leading lady, Rachel Weisz.

Friends to Riccardo Tisci, Anna Wintour, and basically everyone in the fashion world, this well-connected couple often coordinated and never disappointed.

The latest addition to the couples style game: Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis made a strong showing in their debut red carpet year.

The Beckhams did good things with their enviable style when they donated their clothes to a good cause this year!

The fashion world loves Diane Kruger and Joshua Jackson, and they show the love back by allowing us to admire their designer duds.

The definitively incomplete guide to Shia LaBeouf's nicely curated plagiarism shitshow.

No one in the world—not even those who genuinely love Duck Dynasty—could love Duck Dynasty more than Shia LaBeouf right now. Because while everyone else is debating freedom of speech vs. the male anus, LaBeouf continues to quietly and shamelessly exercise his freedom to steal speech. The LaBeouf Plagiarism Train of 2013 shows no sign of stopping; at this point, he's either the world's biggest asshole and doing it on purpose, or the world's stupidest asshole and can't stop himself.

Let's review:

  • In February of this year, LaBeouf plagiarized an apology to Alec Baldwin from Esquire's 2009 "How to Be a Man" issue.

  • On Monday of this week, LaBeouf also admitted to plagiarizing his 2012 directorial debut HowardCantour.com from Daniel Clowes' comic "Justin M. Damiano."

  • The apology he issued for plagiarizing Clowes appeared to have been copied from a Yahoo! Answers user named Lili. (Clowes is now "exploring" legal action against LeBeouf.)

  • On Wednesday morning, Buzzfeed reported that segments of comic books written and drawn by LeBeouf rely on passages written by Charles Bukowski and French writer Benoît Duteurtre. Bukowski? Yep, sounds about right.

  • By Wednesday afternoon, LaBeouf again took to Twitter to apologize. But instead of letting Yahoo! answer, thanks to reporting from The Film Stage, it became clear that LeBeouf borrowed words from some of greatest men of our time: Kanye West, Robert McNamara, and Tiger Woods.

  • When getting called out on this much plagiarism, you might as well double the fuck down and really go for it. And so LaBeouf subsequently issued an apology Thursday morning that, according to the folks at The Wire, looks exactly like the apology Shepherd Fairey issued to the AP in 2009. (A reader later pointed out that a tweet posted right before this apology was basically lifted from a 2008 Mark Zuckerberg apology.)

  • And now, on Thursday afternoon, Dan Nadel at The Comics Journal reports that he's joined the increasingly large group of those who've been LaBeoufed. Nadel points out that the "About" page for his publishing company PictureBox looks an awful lot like the "About" page for LaBeouf's "The Campaign Book."

Here is the statement from PictureBox:

And here is the statement from LeBeouf's site:

So there you have it. But tomorrow is a new day and, well, there are so many great apologies left to steal. We can only hope.

An epic guest star is returning!

Game of Thrones standout Natalie Dormer is set to make her highly anticipated return to CBS' Elementary when the drama returns from its winter break on Thursday, Jan. 2.

And it seems Moriarty is just as deliciously nefarious as ever when Sherlock (Jonny Lee Miller) and Watson (Lucy Liu) cross paths with the big bad when a young girl is kidnapped in New York City and our detective duo believes she's behind the abduction. We've got your exclusive first look at Dormer's return to the CBS hit drama, which includes her first interaction with Sherlock and Watson in quite some time...

[The video won't embed. Watch the sneak peak at the source, please!]

OK, first things first: How calm, cool and badass does Moriarty look just reading her newspaper while being questioned by Sherlock and Watson?

Secondly, how much do you love Moriarty teasing Watson, showing off her portrait? Thirdly, how fun is it to watch Sherlock try to keep it together while in her presence? "If you do help us, I'll continue or correspondence for as long as you're incarcerated," Holmes offers when Moriarty isn't willing to give them any info. Her response? "You're going to do that anyway."

And prepare to see a lot more tension between Sherlock and Moriarty, as executive producer Rob Doherty told Entertainment Weekly, "People who have enjoyed the complicated relationship will not be disappointed. It remains as complicated as ever. It's very interesting for Sherlock to see her and be around her again."

A honey for the holidays! Will Arnett has moved on from his August romance with celebrity chef Katie Lee. The 43-year-old Millers actor is now dating Hollywood producer Erin David, Us Weekly can exclusively confirm.

"Will and Katie Lee fizzled. He lives in LA, she lives in NYC," an insider reveals to Us. "[Erin] produced one of the shows or a film he was in. She produced a lot of Lorne Michaels stuff."

The new couple haven't been hiding their affection for one another either. Arnett and David -- who first worked together in the actor's now-canceled NBC series Up All Night, where she served as executive producer -- recently stepped out together for a very special shindig.

"Will brought her to Jen [Aniston] and Justin [Theroux's] holiday party," the source adds.

Aniston, 44, and fiance Theroux, 42, threw their annual, star-studded tree lighting party at their Bel Air home on Sunday, Dec. 8. Guests arrived at 6:30 p.m. and brought ornaments to decorate the tree. Arnett and David were joined by other famous faces, including Courteney Cox and her new beau, Snow Patrol rocker Johnny McDaid, Robert Downey Jr. and his wife Susan Levin, Tobey Maguire and his wife Jen Meyer, Jason Bateman, Isla Fisher, Chelsea Handler, and Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin.

This isn't Arnett's first Hollywood romance. The actor separated from Parks and Recreation star Amy Poehler in September 2012 after nine years of marriage, Us exclusively confirmed at the time. The exes are parents to sons Archie, 4, and Abel, 2. Arnett's new girlfriend Erin previously worked with Poehler in her 2008 film Baby Mama. Poehler, 42, is currently dating comedian and actor Nick Kroll.

IT'S SOAP NEWS FRIDAY!!!!

Michael Muhney Explains Why He Was Fired From The Young And The Restless!

On Tuesday Michael Muhney announced on Twitter he was fired from his uber-popular role as Adam Newman. Immediately, stunned fans and press went into soaphylactic shock. The devastating news delivered such a crushing blow that Y&R began trending on Twitter for the first time. The Mensa member's last day of shooting was yesterday; he will last air on January 30, 2014.

Did you anticipate they were letting you go?

I suspected it could happen, but I didn't think that it really would -- at least not now; maybe down the line. I worked four-and-a-half years on Y&R. I've been able to enjoy a candle that burns at both ends and a spotlight that burns so bright that maybe it burns out a bit faster than others. I felt like my version of Adam might not last forever. I never called in sick. I never even arrived on time -- I was always early, sometimes hours early, because I wanted to be sharp with my dialogue. I even went into work the day after I snapped my collarbone in half and they worked it into the show! I always gave a 100 percent effort all the time. I believe in being professional at all times.

Some fans and critics were worried about your future on "Y&R" when Adam ran over and killed Delia, Billy and Chloe's daughter. Did that raise a red flag for you?

No. I just thought it was going to be a great story to tell. All I know is whatever load they gave me I tried to carry it with integrity. I'm proud of the stance I made on the show. Gosh, I can't believe I'm doing an exit interview as I'm heading into the CBS studios right now. I just realized I'm going to pull into these gates only a couple more times. Yesterday, I filmed goodbye scenes to Chelsea, Jack and to Adam's son, Connor. I didn't know at that point I was gone. [Voice cracks] I hope I made some kind of impact.

Let's talk about your future: Would you do another soap? Or are you done?
Let's put it this way, I'll consider Broadway, TV, soaps and film. I see the world differently than I did five years ago: it's all acting. Given the opportunity to play another amazing role and be paid so I can put food on the table for my kids, I'd do another soap. I'm in.

Arrogantly, when I began on Y&R, I thought I would take this role for a couple of years, make an impact and return back to prime time and film. There are some people -- not all -- who have moved on from soaps in their careers and received huge fame, but they don't acknowledge soaps. If I never do another soap again, and I'm able to find lightning in a bottle this pilot season and find a job I'm passionate about, I'll always think fondly of the people involved and be proud of my soap career.

Finally, when you think of your journey as Adam Newman, what do you think of?
The very first episode I ever aired. Hearing "Nadia's Theme," I heard the great, booming voice of Peter Bergman say, "The role of Adam Newman will now be played by Michael Muhney." That probably tops it all. So began my fairy tale with the show .... and the rest from here is happily ever after.

Michael's co-stars reaction!

The continuing story of Another World!

Cass Winthrop. Aaah. If you remember the daytime drama Another World, that name likely brings back memories. Especially, curiously enough, in Saskatchewan. The "continuing story," which aired from 1964 to 1999, had particularly high ratings in the Maritimes and Saskatchewan. As a result, Stephen Schnetzer, who played Cass, still has lots of local fans. He is no stranger to Saskatchewan, and has made several guest appearances at Telemiracle.

Schnetzer's post-Another-World world remains busy. His recent TV credits include Homeland, Person of Interest, Damages and Fringe. Before Another World and As the World Turns, he trained at the Julliard School and worked in theatre. In fact, he was once directed on stage by Laurence Olivier and acted in the Tempest with Anthony Hopkins.

In his Saskatoon appearance, Schnetzer will chat with fans, sign autographs and answer questions.

He's bringing a copy of the very last script of Another World with him - you know, the one where Cass and Lila get married and Cass gets kidnapped by a gorilla.

Here are a few questions for Stephen/Cass suggested by fans via social media.

Q: Why do you think Another World was so popular in Saskatchewan?

A: Another World was so popular in Saskatchewan because the people of Saskatchewan have very, very discriminating taste, a very, very discerning eye. And because it was a terrific show.

Q: Did you ever feel typecast as Cass?

A: I really never felt typecast as Cass because I had the opportunity to play such a wide range of situations: comical, farcical, serious, dramatic, tragic.

Q: How did Cass end up on Homeland?

A: Cass didn't, I did! As an actor, I audition for a lot of different roles. Some I get, like Cass and the psychiatrist on Homeland, and some I don't get.

Q: Will you ever come back and do Telemiracle?

A: Just invite me and see how fast I say "yes!"

Adam Gregory Responds To Being Removed From Updated Opening Credits Of B&B!!

Fans of The Bold and the Beautiful worldwide have been noticing that several cast members are no longer in the new updated opening title sequence.

The new sequence features: Thorsten Kaye, Ashlyn Pearce, Darin Brooks and Rena Sofer, but among the missing is Thomas Forrester played by Adam Gregory!

The fact that this caught so many people’s eye, made Gregory take to his Twitter account to share what his status is with the show.

Adam stated, “Retracted my last tweet cause I’m not gone, I’m actually back soon! I'm just not a regular and my career is taking a different direction. Thank you to all my #BB fans for sticking by me through this whole time! You guys are all awesome! I do miss my #BB family”

David Tutera Plans a Wedding on The Young and the Restless!

Who's getting hitched? David Tutera has thrown show-stopping weddings and epic parties for the likes of Jennifer Lopez, Star Jones, Matthew McConaughey, Shannen Doherty, Susan Lucci, Elton John and the Rolling Stones — now he's headed to Genoa City to do some business!

The famed designer and host of WE's My Fair Wedding with David Tutera will guest star on two episodes of The Young and the Restless where he'll help create dream nuptials for a certain couple. Will it be Neil and Leslie? Dylan and Avery? Tyler and Abby?

The CBS soap is keeping the identity of the happy duo a mystery — the engagement doesn't happen until the Christmas Eve episode — but via this first-look photo we can see Tutera is definitely mixing it up with department-store magnate Lauren Fenmore (Tracey E. Bregman) and her crazy mother-in-law Gloria (Judith Chapman)! Tutera's first episode airs Jan. 22.

GREY'S ANATOMY's Chandra Wilson Visiting GENERAL HOSPITAL!

Soaps In Depth has learned exclusively that GREY'S ANATOMY's Chandra Wilson will be doing a guest spot on GENERAL HOSPITAL set to air on Tuesday, January 28!

"I've watched GH for 35 years," Wilson reveals. "I grew up with it. It holds such a place in my heart. Even though we've shared the same lot for 10 years I can't talk to anybody on the lot... it's weird to see them because they're supposed to be in Port Charles! I have that kind of fan disconnect."

As for how the GREY'S/GH crossover came to be, the actress is completely in the dark. "I've been talking about this for years!" she confesses. "Roger [Howarth, Franco] was visiting the GREY'S set and we talked about it. Then, the following Friday, I got the call. I asked Frank [Valentini, GH's executive producer] if this was because of Roger and he said, 'No. This has been in the works before.' So I don't know! But I'm glad it's happening!"

Is Wilson going to be playing her GREY'S alter ego, Bailey, visiting Port Charles? Our lips are sealed, but we can reveal that she'll be a patient of Kevin's. And let's just say that Wilson's GH character has plenty in common with the no-nonsense Grey Sloan Memorial surgeon! Just be sure to tune in on Tuesday, January 28!

Crystal Hunt Arrested After Bar Room Showdown!

Actress Crystal Hunt was arrested Friday night in Los Angeles after she allegedly broke a glass over a girls face during a heated bar room showdown, TMZ is reporting.

According to TMZ, Hunt got into an argument with another woman at Pearl's Liquor Bar in West Hollywood around 12:30 a.m., and allegedly threw a pint glass at the victim's face. The woman required medical attention afterward but the extent of her injuries are unclear.

Hunt was arrested for felony assault with a deadly weapon and released the next morning when she made bail. Her lawyer Shepard Kopp told TMZ she was not drinking at the time and claims the woman was threatening her before the altercation. Hunt also claims she tried having the woman removed by security multiple times but they failed to do so. The woman continued to be aggressive with her and she was only acting in self defense.

Hunt starred as Lizzie Spaulding in GUIDING LIGHT and Stacy Morasco on ONE LIFE TO LIVE.

Y&R's Hunter King Dishes on Summer Newman, the Big Reveal, and More!

At just 20 years old, Hunter King is making the transition from child to adult actress on The Young and the Restless in the role of angsty teen Summer Newman, whose world came crashing down around her when it was revealed that Nick Newman was not her biological father, but rather Jack Abbott was, and her mother -- Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) -- had an accident and has been in a coma ever since..

King, who launched her career at age six under the name Haley King, has amassed a list of comedy and drama credits that includes guest starring roles on the TV series Roswell, Hidden Hills, The Nick & Jessica Variety Hour, Without a Trace, Dexter, ER, Hannah Montana and Workaholics, before becoming a series regular on Hollywood Heights.

It was on that Nick at Nite series that she met Y&R's executive producer Jill Farren-Phelps, who is the reason that King is on the CBS daytime drama today.

But read on as she tells the story in her own words:

How did you end up getting the role of Summer on The Young and the Restless?

Jill brought me over there. I never auditioned for Y&R. Jill [who had worked with Hunter on Hollywood Heights] just called me. As I was coming off the plane from Florida with a friend, Jill called and said, "Do you want to come work on Y&R and play Summer? I was like, "Yeah." She said, "Okay. You start in two days."

I came in and replaced the old Summer [Lindsay Bushman] in the middle of a huge storyline, where she had gotten into a car accident and hit Chelsea, her aunt, and killed her baby. I came in in the middle of that, as Summer was waking up in the hospital. It was very intimidating coming into such a huge storyline, but everybody was really helpful. I got into it very quickly.

Were you a fan of Y&R, or at all familiar with the show before Jill called?

I was kind of familiar with it, because my grandma has watched it for a while now. So I sometimes watched it with her. I did know who some of the characters were and the relationships between them. Now, when I have any questions about what's going on, I go to my grandma and she tells me everything. My grandma is really good about that.

Has your grandmother (Elaine Farrar) lobbied for a visit to the set?

She's actually come with me [to work] a few times. Sometimes I bring my mom to keep me company for the day. Sometimes, I bring my grandma. Whenever she comes, she's very excited. It's like real life to her. She's like, "Uh oh. There's Nick [Joshua Morrow] and Sharon [Sharon Case]. Are they getting together?" She gets very into it.

When was the first time your grandmother came to the set?

I think Michelle Stafford was still there, so my grandma was very excited to get a picture with her and to see what was going on. It was adorable watching her. She likes to see what's coming up on the show.

Did any of the more veteran actors take you under their wing when you started?

Well, Peter Bergman's always been extremely helpful. He's always been one to go over lines with me multiple times. He's always so willing to give me guidance whenever I needed it. Also Michelle Stafford was really good about that, as well.

How long did it take until you felt comfortable in the role?

I would say [it took] about two months until I felt that I had made it my own. I just got used to going to the same place every day, getting the lines and developing my own personality for Summer.

What was your reaction when you first learned that Nick wasn't going to be Summer's dad? At that point, did you think that was the truth?

I thought that was the truth until they exposed what happened. I didn't find out the truth until the script came. They're like, "You have to wait and see." For a while I was like, "Oh, my gosh! This is huge. He's not my dad." I was getting really into it. Then I saw what happened. I was reading and they left like a cliff note right at the end of one of the scripts about what Sharon did. I was sitting in my dressing room in disbelief, like, "How could she do that to me? This is awful. This is way bad." I took it very close to heart.

Are you looking forward to the big reveal when the truth comes out that Sharon switched the DNA tests?

I'm actually really excited. I'm very curious as to how they're going to play it out with Summer. I'm sure she's still going to have the close bond that she now has with Jack. I'm excited to play it as an actress and to see how it all plays out as a fan.

Learning Nick wasn't her father caused a lot of drama, like discovering that Kyle (Hartley Sawyer), who she had a crush on, was her brother.

She's been through a lot. She might need to get some therapy soon. That's all [Hartley and I] ever talk about on the set: When are we going to find out that we're not related? We're both really curious to find out. But it's actually been fun to play those awkward moments between Summer and Kyle because you know that they still have those feelings there, but they really shouldn't because they're supposedly brother and sister. It's really fun to play.

Is there any way you are like Summer in real life?

Well, I don't have fun modeling shoots, and my boyfriend isn't my brother. But, we're the same in the way that when there's trouble, we both kind of run from it. At first, we didn't want to handle any problems. As I've grown older now… Summer and I have kind of grown up together in a way. Now when problems happen in Summer's life, she's more willing to confront them and try to solve them rather than run away from them. I think we're both kind of the same that way.

You began acting at a very young age. How was that?

Since I was six years old. My older sister (Kelli) started acting when she was six. I was a really shy kid. My mom [Jamie] didn't think I could do it. Then one day we went into the agent's office and I said I want to do it, too. I was six years old. Nobody would have expected that coming out of my mouth. I started going on auditions. My mom has always been my acting coach. I took some acting lessons for a few weeks here and there, but mostly I just did plays in this little theater in Agora Hills [Calif.] when I was growing up. Just going over lines with my mom really helped me a lot.

You had done guest starring roles on shows like Dexter, Without a Trace and Hannah Montana, but Hollywood Heights was your first role as a regular on a series. Do you consider that to be your big break?

Yeah. It was scary at first because it was the soap opera-style of filming, where we filmed an episode a day. There would be 50 pages of lines to learn. I'd never experienced that before. I'd experienced going on auditions and having a few little lines to learn. And other shows, primetime shows, they film an episode in a week. So I was used to that. It was really intimidating. Everybody was really helpful, though, and I got used to it quickly.

What can you say about a year in which Mad Men, consistently one of the most intelligent series on American TV, wasn't automatically assured a spot, and in fact didn't make my final cut for Best Series? Its omission wasn't a slam against Mad Men, but a reflection of how fascinating and in some cases innovative other series were. Arrested Development and Orange Is the New Black experimented with structure in ways that confounded the usual divisions between seasons and individual episodes, while Hannibal, Mad Men, and Breaking Bad toyed with tone and style in fascinating and sometimes infuriating ways. This was the most satisfying year of TV watching since I started watching television, and I have a feeling that the medium's creative evolution will only pick up steam as time goes on.

1.-3. Breaking Bad: "Ozymandias,""Granite State" and "Felina"
The more distance I get from the concluding episodes of Breaking Bad, the more they feel like a self-contained mini-season charting the sudden exit, exile, return, and demise of Walter White. "Ozymandias" was the TV event of the year, sparking arguments about authorial intent and a show's responsibility to its audience; "Granite State" was the calm before the storm, showcasing Walter in a more vulnerable state than we'd seen in a long time; "Felina" was a maelstrom of vengeance and violence that seemed like a wish fulfillment fantasy until you thought about what, exactly, Walter had "won" at the very end, and compared it to everything he lost. Top of the world, ma.

4.-5. The Americans: "Gregory" and "Only You"
These two episodes revolved around a vibrant supporting character, Derek Luke's secret KGB agent Gregory, the long-ago lover of Keri Russell's Soviet spy Elisabeth Jennings and a source of much anxiety for her husband Phillip. These two chapters are separated by most of a season, but they feel like two parts of one bittersweet story. They're about a great love that has outgrown its usefulness; Elisabeth has moved on because she has to, and because she can, while Gregory is still stuck in the past, clinging to the residual afterglow and gladly volunteering to be used if it means being able to spend time with a great love he can no longer possess. Marvin Gaye could have written a song about these people.

6. Mad Men: "The Crash"
A brainstorming session is livened and then overwhelmed by drugs, resulting in the sixth season's most purely comic episode, an exercise in controlled chaos that veered into absurdism, slapstick, and surreal images.

Aunt Sandy has 8 Christmas Trees

Sandra Lee says she will not be baking endlessly throughout the holiday season, but she is still quite busy preparing. “I have spent the last three weeks decorating our house. We have eight trees, we have a gingerbread kitchen,” Lee told VF Daily at a MAC Cosmetics dinner for Zac Posen on Wednesday. “I’m really into Christmas,” she added. “I wasn’t raised with Christmas, so I celebrate it very much now. But, yes, we do the house for holidays, and I have my family coming this Christmas, so it’s a special Christmas for me.”

Eight trees? “We have eight trees in our house in Westchester,” she confirmed. That would be the house she shares with New York governor Andrew Cuomo. “It’s amazing. It is so beautiful. But I’ve been working on it for three weeks,” Lee said. Eight trees? “Oh my God,” was about all we could muster. “I decorate all of them, and I buy all of the decorations,” she said. “Even Andrew says, 'Oh my God,'” she said, laughing.

OP: But were any of them a cocktail tree?
