'Argo' Beats 'Lincoln' AGAIN; Oscars Next?

Each year, the SAG Awards honor the best actors on film and television, and the 2013 Screen Actors Guild Awards ceremony was no different.

Daniel Day-Lewis, Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain and Jennifer Lawrence were among the movie stars nominated at the 19th annual SAG Awards. Once again, however, it was Ben Affleck who stole the show.

Affleck's "Argo" took home the Outstanding Ensemble in a Motion Picture, upsetting "Lincoln" and "Silver Linings Playbook" to win the award. Following the film's victory at the Producers Guild of America Awards on Saturday night, "Argo" is in prime position to win Best Picture at the Academy Awards on Feb. 24, this despite Affleck being snubbed in the Best Director category.

Lawrence solidified her status as Best Actress front-runner by grabbing the Outstanding Female Actor in a Leading Role for her performance in "Silver Linings Playbook"; Day-Lewis, also favored at the Oscars, won Outstanding Male Actor in a Leading Role for "Lincoln."

Tommy Lee Jones won the first award of the night. The actor, who wasn't at the ceremony, captured Outstanding Male Actor in a Supporting Role for "Lincoln." Anne Hathaway won the Outstanding Female Actor in a Supporting Role trophy for "Les Miserables." Accepting her award, Hathaway joked that she was happy to have dental insurance.

On the television side, Alec Baldwin won Outstanding Male Actor in a Lead Role for "30 Rock"; Tina Fey won the Outstanding Female Actor in a Lead Role for the same series. "Amy, I've known you since you were pregnant with Lena Dunham," Fey joked during her acceptance to friend and fellow nominee Amy Poehler.

Despite those wins, "30 Rock" lost to "Modern Family" for Outstanding Ensemble in a Comedy Series. "Modern Family" star Jesse Tyler Ferguson thanked the casts of "30 Rock" and "The Office" for inspiration and general awesomeness, as both shows are going off the air after this season.

Julianne Moore won Outstanding Female Actor in a TV Movie or Miniseries for playing Sarah Palin in "Game Change." Kevin Costner was awarded with the Outstanding Male Actor in a TV Movie or Miniseries for "Hatfields and McCoys." Costner wasn't at the SAG Awards ceremony.

After a flurry of early awards, Baldwin came back out on stage to announce Dick Van Dyke's Screen Actors Guild lifetime achievement award.

Bryan Cranston kicked off the second half of the SAG Awards by winning Outstanding Male Actor in a Drama Series for "Breaking Bad." He thanked his family, his cast and AMC.

Claire Danes won the Outstanding Female Actor in a Drama Series for "Homeland."

"Downton Abbey" was an upset victor in the Outstanding Ensemble in a Drama Series, defeating "Mad Men," "Breaking Bad," "Homeland" and "Boardwalk Empire" for the honor.

The 2013 SAG Awards results could help clear up the very murky Oscar race. From previous HuffPost Entertainment coverage of the SAG Awards, via The Associated Press:

Honors from the actors union, next weekend's Directors Guild of America Awards and Saturday night's Producers Guild of America Awards – whose top honor went to "Argo" – typically help to establish clear favorites for the Oscars.

But Oscar night on Feb. 24 looks more uncertain this time after some top directing prospects, including Ben Affleck for "Argo" and Kathryn Bigelow for "Zero Dark Thirty," missed out on nominations. Both films were nominated for best picture, but a movie rarely wins the top Oscar if its director is not also in the running.

Steven Spielberg's "Lincoln" would seem the Oscar favorite with 12 nominations. Yet "Argo" and Affleck were surprise best-drama and director winners at the Golden Globes, and then there's Saturday's Producers Guild win for "Argo," leaving the Oscar race looking like anybody's guess.

The Screen Actors Guild honors at least should help to establish solid front-runners for the stars. All four of the guild's individual acting winners often go on to receive the same prizes at the Academy Awards.

Last year, "The Help" won Outstanding Ensemble in a Motion Picture, while Viola Davis, Jean Dujardin, Octavia Spencer and Christopher Plummer won the respective acting awards; all but Davis won on Oscar night (she lost to Meryl Streep for Best Actress).

Check out a full list of SAG Awards winners below, as the awards are announced:

Destiny's Child member Michelle Williams has responded to recent claims that the group will reunite on stage during Beyonce's upcomin Super Bowl halftime show ext month.

Speaking to WRUG, the singer was asked about preparing for the show when she dispelled the reports.

"That's not confirmed. It is rumoured. I'm gonna be in the musical Fela!," she confessed. "I hate to disappoint the people and tell them that it's not true. Just thinking about it gives me a headache. It seems quite impossible because of our own individual schedules. My opening night for 'Fela!' is January 29. I've been in rehearsals for that, so I haven't had time to think about learning anything else."
The 'Say My Name' star admitted that the band hoped to appear on stage together "one day" and recorded a new track over the festive period.

Some days I think the worst of Kristen Stewart, depending on what “the worst” is for that particular day. I do think she seems unprofessional, affected, sullen, disrespectful and twitchy, and what’s worse is that she can’t back up her bad attitude with actual talent (in my opinion). But even though my opinion of Kristen is pretty low, I will give her credit for some things – I don’t believe she’s some kind of girl-on-girl hater, you know? Like, I think she has female friends and she values those friendships and she doesn’t go around bad-mouthing other women. Maybe she’s super-jealous of Jennifer Lawrence, but I like the fact that she’s never taken a public swipe at J-Law before. So it seems weird that The Enquirer would write this piece of Twihard agit-prop which seems to have only one purpose: making The Lip-Bite Brigade come around and defend their eye-rolling heroine to the death! When most people won’t even believe this in the first place:

    [From The Enquirer, print edition]

Again, I wouldn’t be surprised if Kristen is jealous of Jennifer Lawrence and all of the amazing things happening to Jennifer’s career. And yes, some of that could have been Kristen’s career had she played her cards differently. And maybe I could believe that Kristen was like “Katy Perry? Seriously? All she’s got are boobs and a candy cane stripper pole.” She thinks that because ALL OF US think that. The Aniston stuff just seems kind of random though, right? Like… is Kristen one of the faceless Team Jolie tin-foil-hat conspiracists getting her direct orders from Empress Zahara? See, that made me like Kristen more!!

Tina Fey had quite the night on Sunday at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, where she took home the trophy for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series for “30 Rock,” a much more stress-free night than the actress’ last award show at the Golden Globes, where she co-hosted with Amy Poehler.

“I think just stepping out there [on the Globes stage] to do that opening monologue with Amy and we were just standing there, looking at each other going, ‘Why, why are we doing this? Why are we… oh well, here we go!’ And we just had fun. It ended up being a fun thing,” Tina told Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson on the SAG red carpet on Sunday.

Tina and Amy threw numerous playful jabs at plenty of fellow stars while hosting, including Taylor Swift.

“I just feel like it was just a little joke, like two of your aunts, two of your old lady aunts teasing you at the Thanksgiving table, that’s all it was,” she said of her joke directed toward the singer about staying away from Michael J. Fox’s son.

But could Taylor end up having the last laugh?

“Taylor Swift, might she write a song about you?” Shaun asked.

“I hope so,” Tina said. “I would love it!”

So would Tina and Amy ever return to host the Globes again?

“Oh my gosh, we’ll see, we’ll see. It certainly was fun, we did have a good time. We’ll see, we’ll see if they want us back,” she explained.

As for her SAG night, the writer/actress was happy to be with her co-stars just days before the series finale of her hit NBC comedy, which ends this week.

“Our whole ensemble’s here and our show’s ending this Thursday, so this is our, maybe our last trip out all together, so we’re just so thrilled to be here,” Tina explained.

The younger sister of Hollywood A-lister Penélope Cruz has turned to an anonymous sperm donor because she feared she would not meet the man of her dreams in time.

Mónica Cruz, 35, revealed earlier in January on her blog on Spanish newspaper El País' website that she would have preferred to have waited for her perfect match.

But the face and body of luxury lingerie brand Agent Provocateur said she feared "it would then be too late for motherhood and (I) could not wait."

    She, therefore, used artificial insemination.

She wrote: "I am going to be a mother! I have managed to fulfill the dream of a lifetime. Because of that I want to share with all of you this special journey and to be able to tell you about all my experiences during this fascinating time."

She revealed that, in the first few months of pregnancy, she "isolated" herself from the world as she did not want to make money from her private life.

It was, she said, her way of dealing with the questions that would inevitably be asked as to the identity of the the father.

She said: "I wanted to avoid, above all, that they spoke about possible fathers or the possible candidates to be it."

But later, she added, she felt "uneasy" about hiding the manner of conception which she believed she was helping to turn into a taboo subject.

She said: "So I have decided to tell all. To become pregnant, I turned to artificial insemination. I want to tell, also, so I can have the opportunity to show my thanks to all those anonymous men that help to give many women like me, the dream of their lives."

And she offered help to those in a similar position to herself, by saying: "If with this I can help others who have doubts, then here you have me if you need me."

The younger Cruz sister is a celebrity as an actress and dancer in her native Spain, springing to fame in the early 2000s in television show "Un Paso Adelante."

She doubled for her then pregnant sister during the filming of "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides," in 2011.

And she also worked with her elder sibling in 2007 on a line for Spanish clothes retailer Mango.

A quick note to any salesmen hoping to unload a home security system on Private Practice star Taye Diggs: He doesn't need one.

Last night, after returning to his Los Angeles home from the Screen Actors Guild Awards with his wife Idina Menzel at 11:20 p.m., Diggs discovered a burglar in his garage. The intruder – first reported on by TMZ and later identified as Hassan Juma, 20 – attempted to flee, but didn't get very far.

"The suspect tried to run away, but [Diggs] chased him down the street and was able to detain him until police arrived," LAPD spokesman Richard French tells PEOPLE. "At this time, I don't know exactly what he did to the suspect to detain him."

Juma was arrested, charged with burglary and is currently in custody. Bail has been set at $50,000.

Diggs's crime-fighting exploits capped off a busy evening for the actor. Earlier in the night, he and Cougar Town actress Busy Philipps handed out the SAG Award for outstanding performance by a female actor in a drama series to Claire Danes for her role in Homeland.

At the after-party following the awards ceremony, Diggs, 42, and wife Menzel ripped it up on the dance floor to the beats of DJ Pesce.

Any scary home invasion stories, ONTD?

“The Most Popular Girls In School” is a Youtube web series about the gross, dark, weird side of high school.

Using Dollar Store “Barbies” and stop motion animation, the show centers around a new girl at Overland Park High School, Deandra, and how she finds herself in the middle of a feud between the Van Buren sisters and head cheerleader MacKenzie Zales. It’s like a crude, sick version of ‘Daria’ or ‘Mean Girls’ or ‘Gossip Girl.’ I don’t know if they’re improvising or if the scripts are written but it’s so pitch perfect and hilarious I wouldn’t be surprised by either.

“The Most Popular Girls In School” started on Youtube in 2011, but has since gained a following on Tumblr this year. Start watching it below! Season two is coming soon!

honestly been waiting for some kind of article about the show to come up so i could post about it. probably the funniest thing on the internet rn

There weren't many questions left lingering afte Django Unchained (mostly because pretty much everyone died), but there was at least one thing viewers were left wondering: Who was that masked woman?

Fans of director Quentin Tarantino were quick to I.D. the eyes as those of Zoë Bell, longtime Tarantino collaborator (she starred in Death Proof nd was Uma Thurman's stunt double in Kill Bill). So did the camera linger on her just a little bit longer as a sort of wink-wink to those fans? Or was there more to her story?

First things first, yes, that was her behind that red bandana: "Absolutely," Zoë laughed when we asked her about the cameo at last night's Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters remiere.

"There was backstory and there was to be a fight sequence," she continued. "I don't know how much Quentin wants me to say, but yes, there was originally more than that. But I guess when you're getting such brilliant s--t with Leo [Dicaprio] and Jamie [Foxx] and Christoph [Waltz], you just keep shooting and time kind of got crunchy."

Which means, no, unfortunately her saga will not be appearing as DVD extra (Zoë confirmed that the scenes were never shot). Which means her mysterious plotline will be left to a few lingering shots and one scene in which she looks at an even more mysterious picture of two little boys. Plus, that omnipresent bandana.

"Yes and there was a little sneaky secret under the mask," Zoë coyly explained when asked if she was ever intended to be unmasked. "Part of my face was missing."

Well, dang. To quote Leo's evil Calvin Candie, "You had my curiosity. But now you have my attention."

Whilesome have said that the missing appendage could be her jaw (gross! awesome! we want to see!), that was all Zoë was willing to reveal about what could have been: "I'm going to get a call from Quentin tomorrow like, ‘What are you doing telling people?!"

LOVE-CHEAT Zayn Malik spent the night with his Little Mix girlfriend Perrie Edwards — after she let him stay in her hotel room.
The One Direction rat left afterwards hunched under a minder’s umbrella, following a marathon session trying to patch up their year-long romance.
Later yesterday, Perrie, 19, smiled bravely as she emerged from the hotel in Nottingham to appear on stage with her girl band at the city’s Concert Hall.
She insisted: “I’m totally fine, I’m good. I’m looking forward to the show, this is going to be the best night.”
Up All Night star Zayn, 20, flew back from France for a showdown with Perrie on Sunday, as The Sun revealed he had bedded an Aussie waitress.
Courtney Webb, 21, told how he romped with her after a party at his North London home, while Perrie was rehearsing.
But a source said after the star couple spent Sunday night together: “Things are far from over between Zayn and Perrie.
“He came and stayed in the Little Mix hotel, where Perrie was booked in with her bandmates.
“Everybody gave them their space. They needed to talk things through before Perrie went on stage in front of a crowd.”

WhatsApp, the Instant Message client beloved of people too cheap to text, appears to contravene international privacy laws because of the way it forces users to grant it access to their entire address book.

Reuters reports that both the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada and the Dutch Data Protection Authority have released reports explaining that the app violates privacy laws. They explain that the way the app takes control of the address book, commandeering all the phone numbers within—including both users and non-users of the app—is unlawful. Jacob Kohnstamm, chairman of the Dutch Data Protection Authority, explains:

"This lack of choice contravenes (Canadian and Dutch) privacy law. Both users and non-users should have control over their personal data and users must be able to freely decide what contact details they wish to share with WhatsApp."

The agencies claims they will continue to monitor WhatsApp, and may even begin to impose penalties upon it if it continues to use the same model. So far there's no word from WhatsApp about the allegations.

I thought I should post cuz I know a lot of people who use this app. :/
