Recent recipient of her own tag on ONTD, Canadian indie pop princess Grimes is having a busy year. What has she been up to lately? Let's find out!
For the past month, Grimes has been on tour supporting Florence + the Machine on six dates in total. The last performance, however, did not go ahead as planned – while performing "World Princess, Pt. II" at the Barclay's Center in New York City on June 15, she abruptly ran off the stage (at 1:35):
What happened? Here's an earlier clip of Grimes introducing the song:
"Also, we just had a really disturbing thing happen to us today, so I'm sorry if my voice is shaking, it's just kind of a fucked day."
Fans on Reddit began to discuss what could have happened, with some suggesting that she was either the victim of a stalker or had received death threats. Grimes herself went on Twitter and thanked fans for their support, but urged people to stop speculating – at the same time, she heavily implied that whatever it was that caused her early exit, it was something serious:
In the meantime "someone from Reddit" or fan accounts are not credible sources. Speculating about my mental health is not news. Thanks.

Grimes will be back on the road later this month for a few solo UK gigs followed by a string of festival gigs across Europe and North America. Her live show is tons of fun, so check her out if she's in your area!
In more pleasant news, Grimes also announced that she has written, composed, produced, edited and mastered a new song for the Suicide Squad soundtrack album, which is coming out August 5th:
In happier news: I have a new song coming out on the suicide squad soundtrack!!!! It's called 'medieval warfare' ^_^ dreams becoming realiti

To celebrate the occasion, Consequence of Sound created this Photoshop of Grimes joining the squad:
In reply to a fan, Grimes confirmed that the song will have a "bubblegum metal" sound:

This song was already hinted at in a deleted Tweet from earlier this year, where she stated that she was already writing new music that's "way better than art angels hahaha". Considering that Art Angels was one of the most critically acclaimed albums of 2015 and landed her a recent nomination for the prestigious Polaris Music Prize, you should already be getting excited about "Medieval Warfare" tbh!
Grimes is ELLE Indonesia's cover girl this month! She's wearing Louis Vuitton and serving you Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII realness.
Grimes' unshaven legs thank you for your time!
