Jaime King reveals the products for her ColourPop collection

Jaime King (of Taylor Swift BFF fame, not Ja'mie King, the legend from Summer Heights High) announced a few months ago that she would be collaborating with ColourPop Cosmetics for her own collection, and the products have finally been revealed!

She posted this following message on Instagram:

We created this line because I saw a gap in the "beauty" market. I was tired of seeing very few care about what beauty means for women. For some, that means no makeup, for others, they cannot afford it, nor do companies actually consider the color of their skin and that it's not only unfair but radically gross that most do not create something that makes all women and men feel beautiful. Yes, men, who want to wear makeup as that is why I made this as well. I want to celebrate the inner beauty that we all innately carry and create that which celebrates that which radiates from within. This photo was captured as many are between Bethany and I whom are both mothers, friends and artists that celebrate the freedom of expression for all women- and that closeness that creates between two women is powerful. I'm honored to be surrounded by such radical and extraordinary women, including Laura Nelson who allowed me to create this line with full freedom and with unending support. I envision a world where ALL companies, friends and colleagues carry these values and the profound caring that we lift each other up and up and up! It is moments captured and experiences such as these that have shown me that when women uphold each other in their dreams, no matter what they may be, mentally, emotionally, physically, spiritually that each is a stepping stone to the next. "To infinity and beyond!" #Alchemy 3/24/16 xx Jaime

First Time voter, Aaron Carter, explains why he's voting for Trump

0

"A few weeks ago, voice of the nation, Aaron Carter announced his support for Donald Trump." In this interview he defends himself and why he is choosing a piece of human garbage for president.

GQ: So are you kind of stressed right now?
Aaron Carter: Am I stressed? Hell yeah, I’m stressed.
GQ: Did you know that this tweet would get you a lot of attention?
Aaron Carter: It was more than just a tweet, I guess. I support Donald Trump. I don’t support every little thing. Trump goes his own way. He’s a leader, not a follower, and he’s proven that by humbling the other campaigns. I think in regards to him becoming president, well, the electoral college will be the decider.

GQ: So what elements of his platform do you not support, and when do those things outweigh what you do support?
Aaron Carter: I don’t agree with banning gay marriage. It’s outlandish, because he has supported the gay community before. And building a wall is totally outrageous.

GQ: But the things you do agree with are more important than his stance on immigration or gay marriage?
Aaron Carter: Well, I mean, there’s still time to see how it works out. And I haven’t even made my vote. If Trump can’t change some of his ways of thinking, then I’m just going to sit this one out.

GQ: Have you voted before?
Aaron Carter: No. This is the first time I’ve ever really engaged in politics. (WELL THANK GOODNESS)

GQ: What made you so interested in the election this time around?
Aaron Carter: I mean, recently I’ve been rebuilding my life, I’ve been rebuilding my image and career. I went from five years ago making $30,000 a year doing the off-Broadway production Fantasticks to the next year getting back on my feet, proving myself, and grossing over $1.5 million that year. Everyone thought I was broke, but I actually haven’t been broke. There have been a lot of things people don’t understand about my story. So I kind of just find myself being able to relate. I like what he’s doing for taxes for the people. And I like what he’s focused on. Like, let’s worry about our deficit right now. And about our country. And about how we can actually make it great again. He’s proving that sometimes you have to file for bankruptcy and rebuild. I can relate. I’ve been through it.

GQ: Have you ever gone through this kind of bullying before?
Aaron Carter: Of course. I told people earlier this year that Michael Jackson passed a torch to me. Because he did. People in Michael Jackson’s camp, you can interview them and they will tell you that he did. They will tell you that. I was passed the torch, in how to treat people and what to do with my career and my life. And Michael Jackson told me he started recognizing me from when I was a little boy, because I broke his record when I was eight years old, being the youngest guy to have four singles in the Billboard charts at the same time. I broke Michael Jackson’s record for it. And I broke it with one of his songs, "One Bad Apple." And so he knew about me. He said, I watched your career. But I got bullied by all the so-called Michael Jackson fans. You guys should be ashamed of yourselves, if you’re reading this article. And Michael Jackson would be ashamed of you. Because you do the exact opposite of what he stood for.

GQ: Is there a tweet that you do regret?
Aaron Carter: I don’t regret any tweets. No.

GQ: I read that you’ve been getting some death threats. Do you worry about those?
Aaron Carter: I’m not scared. I just call them out. I shine the light on cockroaches. And you know what happens?

GQ: What?
Aaron Carter: They scatter. They scatter. Or, they try to stand their ground and it doesn’t work out for them, especially when they have, like, fourteen followers.

GQ: Do you take it personally?
Aaron Carter: I take everything personally, but that’s because I’m so personable. And that’s because I can really relate to myself, I can really look in the mirror and know what I’m all about.

Henry Cavill thinks women show "double standards" when it comes to catcalling

0
0

"I do think there’s a bit of a double standard, you know," he said. "I mean, if a girl shouts something like ‘Oi, love, fancy a shag?’ to me as I walk past I do sometimes wonder how she’d feel if a builder said that to her. Although, of course, I wouldn’t feel physically threatened, as she might."

He also adds, "I've heard some things. I don't mind it, unless I'm with my girlfriend and someone is being complimentary to me in order to disrespect her."

Amy Adams talks about being paid less than her male co-stars on American Hustle

0
0

The leaked emails from Sony's hack scandal revealed that Amy Adams and Jennifer Lawrence were both paid less than Christian Bale, Bradley Cooper, and Jeremy Renner on American Hustle; the women were paid 7% of the pool while the men were each paid 9%. Jennifer Lawrence wrote an essay about the situation, but Amy Adams was unwilling to discuss it, even canceling an interview on the Today show because did not want to answer questions about it.

In the new issue of Allure, she finally decided to open up: "I've probably conceded to more that I disagree with as a woman because I felt like I had to. I don't like fighting. Sometimes I just go along with things even though I know they're not in my best interest. I negotiated, and I tried to get paid as much [as Jeremy Renner and Bradley Cooper]. But I felt like if I kept pushing, I wouldn't have had the opportunity. So that's on me. I wasn't comfortable [talking about it] because I don't feel bad for myself as an actress. I feel really fortunate. I started doing research, and it was striking how women don't feel comfortable negotiating for raises. That's what is so great about what Emma Watson is doing. She's not talking about actresses; she's talking about women all over the world."

What TV Can Learn From ‘The 100’ Mess

0
0

Gather ye round as I tell you a chilling tale of a PR monster unleashed

- Television critic Mo Ryan drags The 100 for how it's handled Lexa's death

- The CW relies heavily on social media engagement to make $$$ off its poorly rated shows, but this is a double-edged sword as the fans will rebel if they feel they're being exploited for ratings/hype

- So guess what happened when The 100 led on its LGBT fanbase (and most socially active viewers) about their fave not dying, and then killed her off in a masterpiece of hackery and tropiness?

- Fans are rightfully pissed off and not gonna take it anymore

- Showrunner Jason Rothenberg has basically done everything wrong by going underground while leaving his fellow writers to answer for his decision to kill Lexa off

- Article brings the receipts on the crew queerbaiting fans for MONTHS
