Undisputed Queen of Pop Carly Slay Guadalupe Jepsus caught us off guard with her cute 2012 bop "Call Me Maybe." Her other singles mostly flopped and ha debut album Kiss has only sold 300K. (More than the 19K E•MO•TION has oop)

When she dropped E•MO•TION, she found popularity among indie blogs and hardened music critics. She became the leader of a new breed of ‘Mindie’ artists – that is, a major label artist with indie cred. Jepsen’s narrative – a pop dynamo rebuilding as an indie darling – was powerful, and the media fell hard.

Jepsen defies expectations – because even with E•MO•TION failing to generate anything close to impressive sales, her staying power hasn’t dimmed. Last Friday E•MO•TION: The B Sides (available now on iTunes) was put out to mark the anniversary of E•MO•TION’s release, a double-dip strategy that has become a norm of sorts for pop megastars.

The girls went home with two awards Sunday: "Song of the Summer" for "All In My Head (Flex)" and "Best collaboration" with Ty Dolla $ign for "Work from Home".
Fifth Harmony are among the most awarded acts of the night: Beyoncé (with 8 awards), then Rihanna, 5H and Calvin Harris (with 2 awards)




Their gowns were designed by Michael Costello (worked with Beyoncé, Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry and designed the girls tour costumes)

Gymnastics Legend Vera Caslavska dies of pancreatic cancer at age 74

  • Vera Caslavska is one of the best gymnasts of all time. She has won 2 Olympic gold medals in the all around and is the only gymnast to have a gold medal on every single individual event.

  • Vera is known for her beautiful gymnastics, as well as her famous political protest at the 1968 Olympic Games.

  • Before dominating and winning 6 medals (4 gold, 2 silver) at the Mexico City Games, Vera had her gym taken away during the Soviet invasion of Czechoslovakia. She trained in the Movaria forests, using logs for beams, potato sacks as weights/a vault, and tree branches as uneven bars. She was also in hiding in the Sumperk mountains because she was under arrest for signing the protest manifesto "Two Thousand Words."

  • During the medal ceremonies for beam (where Natalia Kuchinskaya controversially beat Vera for gold on beam) and floor (where judges raised Larisa Petrik's prelims floor scores so she would tie with Vera for gold), Vera turned her head down for the Soviet anthem, as a protest to the Soviet invasion of her country, as well as politics that favored the Soviets in scoring.

  • The Czech government and gymnastics federation forced Vera to end her career and didn't allow her to travel abroad or compete in any sporting events, even locally. With pressure from the Mexican government and IOC, she was eventually allowed to coach gymnastics in Mexico. With the fall of the Soviet Union and communism in 1989, Vera's status improved and she was considered a national hero.

The music video has been shot months ago(back in February) and was directed by Hannah Lux Davis. It is rumored to be "Mad Max-themed".




meh. i don't hate the song, but it's not radio-friendly. and #Justice4AllInMyHead. that song desrved to be as successful as WFH only for the live performance

- Notable for its all-female production crew (writer, director, producer & everyone else on set)✧٩(•́⌄•́๑)و ✧
- OP saw an early screening last year and the writing & acting is...not great, maybe, but it's r e a l l y hot and is like pretty much half sex scenes
- premiering at TIFF, no other official distribution yet
- (trailer is also out, but not on YouTube/any embeddable site yet)

I LOVED that it was all ladies, especially since it's sexually explicit and it's a relief to know that no creepy guy was behind the camera making them feel weird, but I feel like it could just be interpreted as 'girl-on-girl for str8 dudes, woo!' anyway. :\ But if you're into lady filmmakers and/or watching Swedish Kristen Stewart and Not Quite Camilla Luddington getting it on A LOT, see this.

-Telltale Games and USA recently released a mobile game based off the show called 1.51exfiltrati0n.ipa.
-Takes place at the end of season one.
-You get contacted by the characters and get to join fsociety and even get to assume Darlene's identity.
-Most of the dialogue takes place through texting where a lot can be lost through miscommunication so you're never sure what you're trying to say.

Waka Flocka Flame says Chris Brown didn't do shit and something should happen to his accuser

Earlier today Waka Flocka Flame was approached by TMZ at LAX to ask about his support of Chris Brown. He believes that Brown was being unfairly targeted and that his accuser should be in jail and that "something should happen to her". When he was asked about the weapon and drugs he shook his head and responded with, "Who don't got weed... it's California."

When the pap mentioned Brown pointed a gun at the girl Waka Flocka Flame simply responded with "Fuck her".

His support shouldn't come as much of a surprise when in a series of now deleted tweets from January he also said someone was trying to frame Bill Cosby.

USWNT Player Heather O'Reilly to announce retirement tomorrow

Sources say that after 230 international caps Heather O'Reilly (HAO) is going to officially retire from the USWNT on Thursday.

HAO was left off the Olympic roster in just one of Jill Ellis'many coaching blunders.

HAO's career accomplishments includes a NWSL Championship, 3 Olympic gold medals and 1 WWC win.
