WORLD EXCLUSIVE: Run-DMC Back TogetherLegendary Hip-Hop group Run-DMC is back together, sources have confirmed with AllHipHop.com today (July 6).
A source close to both camps revealed that a high-level meeting took place between Run and DMC.
While details of the reunited pair’s upcoming business deals were not revealed, plans are secure and in place for the future of Run-DMC.
“Run-DMC is definitely back together, and it’s a great day for Hip-Hop,” a source told AllHipHop.com.
Run-DMC retired almost ten years ago, in November 2002, shortly after the death of group member Jam Master Jay.“We can’t perform anymore. Nobody wants to see Run-DMC without Jay,” Run said in 2002. “Run-DMC is officially retired. I cannot get out in front of my fans with a new DJ. Some rock bands can replace the drummer and I don’t know any other way but to be the three original members. That’s all I can say. We are retired.”
For over 10 years, the group has refused to perform together, even in April of 2009, when they were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.During their hiatus, both Run and DMC stayed extremely busy.Reverend Run hit big on the television with the hit reality series “Run’s House,” while also performing sold-out concerts with Kid Rock.
DMC won an Emmy Award for his documentary “DMC: My Adoption Journey,” while mentoring children with The Garden of Dreams Foundation.

While the cause of death has yet to be revealed, friends of the rapper tweeted their condolences.
Above The Law got their start as an act on Eazy-E’s Ruthless Records, with their 1990 album Livin’ Like Hustlers.
They went on to release seven more albums, including Black Mafia Life and Uncle Sam’s Curse, two albums credited with pioneering the “G-Funk” sound.
After Eazy’s death Above The Law was signed to Tommy Boy and Death Row Records.

Earlier this week, a fan tweeted 50, “Release the album or get shot again,” in reference to the Five (Murder by Numbers) official album that he was supposed to release, but instead gave away for free and announced his official Interscope LP will be arriving this November instead.To that, ’Fif tweeted back, “yeah I just saw your picture fool you look autistic. i don’t want no special ed kids on my time line follow some body else,” for all his 6.8 million Twitter followers and more to see.
That set off a firestorm of heated reaction, including that from actress Holly Robinson Peete, whose 13-year-old Rodney Peete is autistic.Robinson Peete responded by writing an open letter to 50 Cent and posting it on her website, HollyRod.org.
“Do you even know what autism is?” she asks the G-Unit general in one part of the letter. “And what exactly does “autistic” look like? 1 in 88 have it. That’s 1 in 54 boys. Families suffer a social stigma you will never know. It is a financial and emotional drain for millions…”
Robinson Peete, 47, also asked 50 to “please delete” the tweets to which he obliged.The longtime actress, who had a role in the movie 21 Jump Street back in March, closed the letter by posting a picture of her son, Rodney.
“So I guess this is what autistic looks like?” she further questioned 50. “He is in special ed. He loves rap music and is a HUGE fan of yours. He’s a tremendous kid. He has to deal with so much trying to fit in. This isn’t helping.”
Robinson Peete is one of many parents who have bombarded 50’s twitter account over his insensitive remarks.

The movie is centered around recording sessions for Gucci Mane, Rocko, and Zaytoven.The project, titled Birds of a Feather, incorporated real life situations with improvisational acting.“It’s just something new for me. In the music business if anyone has kept up with me and what I can do, you know from the beginning of my career, its always been me working with someone I haven’t worked with, or something new, so I wanted to jump into the movies,” Zaytoven told AllHipHop.com.
“What I did is take all the guys that I work real close with in the music industry and did a movie sort of around me and how I made it into music with a twist and with some drama and comedy. “I guess the way the title came together is that me Gucci and Rocko were working on a street album called Birds of a Feather, and everyday, I recorded video of it.
“I would ask questions about why we were calling the songs what they were and why we were doing the song, and I thought that I could do a movie on the whole experience,” Zaytoven continued. “These artists were coming to the house everyday, and it just worked out with the artists, and we are all alike, and we are all different. But there is real acting in this; it’s not a documentary. There’s real comedy and drama in this movie.”
Zaytoven also took part in scoring the movie, a task he hopes to pick up in other movies going forward.
“Me scoring the movie and putting the movie together really took a lot of time, but as a matter of fact, I just started working with [Rick] Ross a few days ago. I’m just doing this movie stuff to brand myself, I want to score movies, so why not score my own movie and get my feet wet? SOURCEMan Arrested In Connection With Trae The Truth Shooting/MurdersA 25-year-old Houston man has been arrested in connection with the shooting of Trae The Truth, that also left three people dead.
The incident unfolded on June 20 outside of the Diamond’s Gentleman’s Club in Houston, Texas.
Police accuse Feanyichi Uvukansi of opening fire on a crowd as they were leaving the adult nightclub.
Authorities believe Uvukansi was gunning for Coy “Poppa C” Thompson 23, who was among the three killed in the gunfire.
Three of the victims died, while Trae The Truth and an associate Willie Watkins, sustained minor injuries.
According to a report by KHOU in Houston, Uvukansi said he was surprised to learn that he was a suspect, and told authorities that he did not bring a gun to the club.
Feanyichi Uvukansi was charged with multiple counts of capital murder and is being held without bond.
