The Letter Carrier, a short film written and directed by Flash castmember and showbiz legend Jesse L Martin, is eight days into its Kickstarter campaign.
The film tells the story of a woman hiding her family from slavery in the Blue Ridge Mountains circa 1860. To keep her family secluded and safe she uses a fable of an evil man roaming the hills searching for children to enslave. The music (all dialogue is in song form) will be sung live on film, a capella except for found-instrument accompaniment. The film will be shot over the course of five days in the mountains of British Columbia.
Joining the production team are fellow Flash cast members Rick Cosnett (co-directing, co-producing), Patrick Sabongui (co-producing) and Carlos Valdes (musical arrangement). Kickstarter rewards include everything from signed headshots and phone messages to invitations to the screening, or to attend a day of filming. The project so far has received less than half of its 50k CAD goal.

I know eight days in means this isn't exactly breaking news, but this is an awesome celeb-run project that needs more support.
