Adam Lambert + Chris Colfer Take On "I Believe In A Thing Called Love"

$

More than four years after Adam Lambert recorded one of his finest tracks — the effervescent electro-rocker "Music Again," penned by famously catsuited Darkness frontman and all-around rock god Justin Hawkins — he has forged another glittering connection to the hard-charging pop-metal band, grandly performing the Darkness's "I Believe in a Thing Called Love" for "Glee." And "Glee" has never been more glam.

While the Darkness duet between Adam's character, Elliott "Starchild" Gilbert, and "Glee" regular Chris Colfer's Kurt Hummel won't air on Fox until Tuesday's "Frenemies" episode, awesome audio of the long-rumored pairing has finally hit the Interweb. And, yes, it's just about as epic as one might imagine.

If there are any two singers who can reach the stratospheric octaves and dog-whistle falsettos in any Justin Hawkins song, it's Adam and Chris, after all. And their version of the Darkness's 2003 hit will have everyone believing in a thing called Pamela Lansbury, their (sadly) fictional band.

Adam and Chris's "I Believe in a Thing Called Love" duet will apparently take place in a NYC guitar shop and will feature some boy-vs.-boy stripper-pole action. Of course it will. But we'll all have to wait till Tuesday for that bit of "Glee" glamtasticness.

Kit Harington talks his poor career choices and his fab abs

Kit Harington leads 'Thrones' film assault in 'Pompeii'
By BRYAN ALEXANDER

Kit Harington already has seen more than his share of bloody conflict while starring as sword-wielding Jon Snow in three seasons of the hit HBO series Game of Thrones.

But the mayhem keeps coming as the English actor makes his leading-man screen debut in the Paul W.S. Anderson epic Pompeii, opening Friday. Harington, 27, finds himself in the gladiatorial arena fighting for his life against deadly foes and a big volcano.

"I seem to follow carnage, or carnage follows me," says Harington. "This movie came about because of Game of Thrones, there's no doubt about it. The show started this big bloody mess off. And it has carried on."

Harington is just one of several Thrones stars making a move onto the big screen, often in similarly violent situations. Emilia Clarke (who plays Daenerys Targaryen) will star in 2015's Terminator: Genesis reboot, and Natalie Dormer (Margaery Tyrell) will portray a revolutionary in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay films starting in November. Richard Madden (Robb Stark), takes on a slight variation of the theme, playing Prince Charming in Kenneth Branagh's live-action version of Cinderella (2015).

"It's interesting how we, for the most part, are portraying these quite tough people, being once-unknowns in this industry," says Harington.

Pompeii director Anderson says he was turned on to Game of Thrones by his wife and made it through two seasons in 48 hours. "For me, Kit was the man that stood out. He was the one I thought was the movie star waiting to happen."

Thrones had provided on-the-job training for Harington as he prepped for his gladiator role in Pompeii, which is set against the backdrop of the deadly explosion of Mount Vesuvius in A.D. 79. "It did help that they knew I could sword fight," he says.

Anderson asked Harington to keep the distinctive long hair he wears in Thrones and to tone his body. The actor quit drinking his beloved pints and spent four months getting into gladiator shape to don his revealing leather armor for the Roman arena. Special effects were saved for the volcano, not his abs, he insists.

"Those are 100% me and a lot of work," says Harington. "That wasn't steroids or anything. That was (bleeping) hard graft."

Harington knows that he will eventually have to branch out into other genres even after taking the voice part of a villainous warrior in How to Train Your Dragon 2 (due June 13).

"I'm on the way to being typecast," says Harington. "I am looking for a more modern thing. I have an urge to step into this century a little bit."

Leaving Thrones is always a possibility for Harington, given the show's many surprise killings of even lead characters. He'll be a fixture in the upcoming season four, which begins April 6, but he's mum about his future with the show beyond that.

"I've always felt with Thrones, all of us do, that we are so very lucky to be in this thing," says Harington. "But if we are going to go out, at least give us a stylish death. Then we'll be happy."

Feeling bad for Kit's career right about now. But if Taylor Kitsch can still be trusted to star in anything, then anybody can recover from a massive flop. Here's a cute gif:

The Harry Potter star was named Best Actor In A Play for his role in The Cripple Of Inishmaan. Upon accepting his gong, he said: 'I am deeply honoured to receive this prestigious award.

'I accept it on behalf of the whole cast who together helped make this production of The Cripple Of Inishmaan a truly joyous experience for me as an actor.

'I'd also like to thank Michael Grandage for his leadership and inspirational direction, and I'm absolutely thrilled to now be given the opportunity to take Martin McDonagh's achingly witty and poignant play to Broadway.'

His fellow Potter star, Rupert Grint, also enjoyed success on the night.

Grint was named the London newcomer of the year for his West End debut in Mojo - an award which Radcliffe won previously for Equus.

Judi Dench 'can't read anymore' due to failing eyesight

The Oscar-winning actor Dame Judi Dench has spoken of how her failing eyesight has left her unable to read scripts and struggling to watch films.

Dench suffers from macular degeneration, an age-related condition that leads to a gradual loss of vision, which her mother also had.

But the actor, 79, who has notched up 95 award nominations during her illustrious career, balked at suggestions her career would slow down because of failing health.

She told the Hollywood Reporter: "I never want to make much of it, but it is difficult – very, very difficult.

"I can't read anymore. I can't paint like I used to. I try to watch movies, but it's quite difficult. But these are all of the negatives. I don't want to really think about all that. What I can do, I do. And I somehow get by."

Even before her eyesight began to decline, Dench preferred to have others read her scripts to her, as Steve Coogan did in her recent film Philomena, which has earned the actress an Oscar nomination.

But Dench, who has recently undergone surgery on her knee, insists she has no plans to retire.

"I heard a woman being interviewed on the radio the other day who was 105, and I expected this very frail voice, but this wonderful voice came out and she said to this reporter who was interviewing her, 'I'll tell you one thing,' she said, 'Don't stop anything. I never stop anything I'm doing because otherwise I'll never get started again.' And I thought, 'That'll do."'

Since making her professional acting debut at the Old Vic in 1957, Dench has become one of Britain and Hollywood's most acclaimed actors. The Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein – a longstanding fan – launched her career on the big screen nearly half a century later when she was 63 after seeing her in John Madden's Mrs Brown.

Their partnership has been one of Hollywood's big success stories, with Weinstein distributing six of Dench's seven Oscar-nominated films: Mrs Brown, Shakespeare in Love, Chocolat, Iris, Mrs Henderson Presents and now Philomena.

Vine "star" Curtis Lepore rape charge dropped as he pleas no contest to felony assault

A rape charge filed against Vine star Curtis Lepore by fellow star and ex-girlfriend Jessi Smiles has been dropped as part of a plea deal.

Lepore pled no contest to felony assault at court on Friday.

Under the deal Lepore has to complete 24 days of community service and a year of counseling.

If he does so then his formal conviction will be “misdemeanor assault.”

Smiles representatives didn’t return a request for comment to TMZ, which reported the news.

The accusation, which surfaced in January, shocked the Vine world because of the former relationship between Lepore and Smiles.

It allegedly happened in August 2013 when Lepore flew to Los Angeles to hang out with Smiles, but they ended up breaking up.

Smiles got a concussion several days later while shooting a Vine video, and Lepore called to say he’d help her. But Lepore allegedly went to where Smiles was, and, when she fell asleep, raped her.

Smiles tweeted the day after the alleged situation: ”Be careful of who you trust. Always be cautious for your safety. Be strong and don’t let your guard down…”

She also tweeted several other things that appear to be related to the situation, including “People are so crazy in this world. Please be safe.” and “I don’t feel like living on this planet today. Goodbye.”

Lepore has over 3.4 million followers on Vine, while Smiles has over 2.7 million.

After the allegation came out, Lepore and Smiles both tweeted about it:

Lepore: “Wow. TMZ? It all makes sense now. Let the second publicity stunt begin!”

Smiles: “I stopped living my life 6 months ago for a very long time and that is NOT going to happen again. This is all I will say. Love you all.”

Tormented Rebecca Adlington reportedly had cosmetic surgery to reduce size of nose

For years she has been subjected to cruel taunts about her appearance which she admits have caused ‘lots of tears.’

Now Olympic gold medal winner Rebecca Adlington appears to have resorted to cosmetic surgery to reduce the size of her nose and remove a bump.
The retired swimmer is reported to have undergone the procedure at a Harley Street clinic several weeks ago.

It comes after she broke down during last year’s appearance on ITV’s I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here!, admitting that she felt conscious of her body when she compared herself to fellow contestant and beauty queen, Amy Willerton.

Afterwards she told the Mail about her long running insecurities about her looks - and the hurt caused by the hateful comments about them.

She said: ‘Every day I look in the mirror and go, “God, I’m not pretty, I’ve got a very big nose. That’s what most of the negative comments on Twitter are about - my nose.
‘People say, “Oh God you look like a dolphin,” or “I didn’t realise they let whales into the Olympics, but at least you should be able to swim faster with a nose like that.’ She added then that she would consider cosmetic surgery, explaining: ‘I couldn’t even float the idea of having a nose job before, because with swimming you only get two weeks a year off.

‘Would I now? I’d probably have it straightened, but it’s got to suit your face.’ Adlington became a national heroine and inspiration to millions of youngsters overnight when she won her first of two gold medals at the Beijing Olympics in 2008, aged just 19.

At the time, the down to earth teenager lived off just £12,000 a year, relied on her parents to pay for her swimming hats, goggles and costumes and drove to training from her then home in Mansfield in a battered Vauxhall Corsa.

But the vile abuse began soon afterwards, with comedian Frankie Boyle causing outrage on BBC2’s Mock The Week when he described her as looking like someone who’s ‘looking at themselves in the back of a spoon.’

The BBC Trust called his comments ‘offensive’ and ‘humiliating’ but he mocked her appearance again before the London 2012 Olympics when he tweeted she would have an ‘unfair advantage in the swimming by possessing a dolphin’s face.’

In her interview with the Mail in December, Adlington explained she always had a ‘bit of insecurity’ about the way she looked.

She explained: ‘I knew I wasn’t the most attractive girl at school.
‘Even when I’ve been on a night out, no boys would want to talk to me. So those comments hurt... lots of tears.’
Adlington, who was made an OBE in 2009 for services to sport, is now engaged to swimmer Harry Needs, 21.

She retired from swimming after taking two bronze medals at the London Olympics, and now runs the Becky Adlington’s SwimStars’ initiative which encourages children to learn to swim.

Nicky Hutchinson, co author of Body Image In The Primary School, said: ‘There is such pressure to look perfect and social networking sites can exacerbate that, picking over appearance details in an unkind way that might not happen face to face.

‘Children need to be told that most of the images they see are unreal. They need to think about what advertisers are trying to do.
‘Women like Rebecca Adlington and the Winter Olympic winners should provide great role models for our children- as people who have worked hard to achieve a goal and whose bodies have shown strength, dedication and skill.’

Nail Polish Post! Nail Polish Trends in Katy Perry's Dark Horse

Katy Perry just premiered her latest video, Dark Horse! and along with the crazy beautiful makeup, she also had beautiful trendy nails to match. Here's the 3 Nail Polish looks that Katy Perry uses in her Dark Horse video!

1. Outline Nails (or Border Nails)

2. Striped Nails

3. Hieroglyphics Nails

Katy Perry most likely used pre-painted press on nails. The reason for this is that often music videos are shot in its entirety in one night-that can be up to 14-18 hours of straight shooting. As a result, it is much more convenient to have pre-painted press on nails which can be easily removed. You can tell that they are press on in the 2nd screenshot (stripped nails). You can
do a similar look by buying blank press on nails to do your artwork. Press on nails can be purchased at any beauty salon store or online such as Amazon (you can always paint over french manicure press on nails, as long as you use a thick
coat). However, the work can be easily done with a little time and patience on your own natural nails.

You can watch the video in its entirety here:

Jaime Lannister and Shae did an interview together to promote the S3 blueray

Interview: Nikolaj Coster-Waldau & Sibel Kekilli

With Game of Thrones: The Complete Third Season out on Blu-ray and DVD this week, we holed up in a London hotel to chat about the release with a few of the show's cast.

Sitting in a mini-press conference style set up, first up were Nikolaj Coster-Waldau who plays the seemingly villainous and arrogant Ser Jaime Lannister and Sibel Kekilli who plays Shae.

Please note that if you haven't seen all of Season Three the below contains some MASSIVE spoilers.

Jaime is, in many ways, defined by his ability with a sword and to lose that part of him is a huge obstacle. The writing is so strong and good that those scenes afterwards were a lot of fun to shoot.
How would you describe the evolution of Jaime? We start with him sleeping with his sister....

Nikolaj:Well he still wants to sleep with his sister! If you were told before the scene in episode one where he's having sex with Cersei and pushes Bran out of the window, if you had the information before that - yes it's his sister but it's true love and they desperately want to be together - and you were then told there's a horrible little evil boy climbing the walls and if that horrible boy told anyone what he saw they would have to kill Cersei's 'lovely' children, little sweet children, Joffrey, wonderful children. And the love of his life would die and he would probably die as well. So if you were told that you would think differently [about him] maybe. He does things because he's all about loyalty and family and wants to protect the people he loves and that then goes through to Brienne. The fact that he meets this woman is huge to him, he's forced to spend so much time with her. For the first time he does something for someone else outside his family. He risks everything for this woman. The biggest change is that he loses his identity in many ways and he has to re-evaluate who he is or re-discover himself. Then that all goes back to the scene in the bathtub where he reveals this huge....[cue raucous laughter]....yeah that came out wrong! The secret that he's carried around since he was 16. He killed the mad King and he actually perceives that as his proudest moment. But since then he's been the Kingslayer, this dishonourable man. And of all people he tells this woman because they have connected and he sees himself in her.

What similarities do you share with your characters?
Sibel: Shae is not a girlie girl, she's a fighter. She feels responsible for girls like Sansa, to rescue her from the bad things around her. I love that about Shae. I hope I'm not a girlie girl even though I'm wearing high heels now [laughs]. And I'm loyal.

Nikolaj: He's a great character to play, I like the fact that he's so conflicted and has all these secrets. It's good writing so he's a whole human, there's always things you can identify with. I dislike that people can jump to conclusions about who you are and sometimes that happens when you're an actor. Someone sees you in a part and just assumes, "Hi Jaime. How's your sister?" And that happens on a huge scale for Jaime because he's known as the Kingslayer, so I identify with that.

There's a lot of female nudity in the show, should there be more male nudity?
Sibel: Of course!

Nikolaj: I was naked this season. When I had that huge reveal! [Laughs]

Sibel you have great chemistry with Peter Dinklage and the scenes wouldn't work without that. Can you tell us what it is about him as an actor that you find really clicks?

Sibel: I love to work with Peter because there are two kinds of actor. One acts just for themselves, they don't listen to you, they don't react when you act and Peter is one of those rare actors that have no vanity, he acts with his eyes. He really listens to me and he reacts when I act and I think this is the secret of good chemistry.

George R.R. Martin must be on the set from time to time. What do you say to him when you see him?

Sibel: Please don't kill me. And if you do, let me come back as a zombie.

Nikolaj what was your reaction when you saw The Rains of Castamere episode?
Sibel: I will be King!
[Laughter]
N: My reaction was that it was amazing. David Nutter directed it and I was astounded by it.

What is most exciting for you about the upcoming Season Four?

Sibel: Yeah I'm going to kill Cersei and I will the Queen [laughter]. I can't say much but it will be very hard for Shae. She will fight.

Nikolaj: For Jaime it's the fact that the Lannister family's together for the first time and that was really interesting...

Sibel: And he will lose his legs [laughter].

The Rains of Castamere will be hard to top but can you ensure fans that Season Four can do just that?

Nikolaj: It's a very dramatic season and where before you had one or two episodes that peak there are a lot more peaks, it's like one of the hard stages of the Tour de France.

SOURCE

awwww Sibel is such a qt, I'm really interested to see how they'll handle the Shae storyline this season...because it could go wrong in so many ways.

Real Housewives At War: NeNe Battles It Out With Kenya & Marlo!!!

We are nearing the end of The Real Housewives of Atlanta season, but if there is one thing that we have learned about this show, is that there's drama at every corner. As a matter of fact, things have a tendency to get even more insane as time passes, and we near the finale. This definitely seems to be true for the new episode tonight. What starts off as an event for Cynthia turns ugly thanks to NeNe and Marlo going at it, and that is made even worse with Kenya at the center of it.

You can some of that via the full video preview below, but we also have some more details courtesy of our synopsis: “Still reeling from Peter and NeNe’s argument at Kenya’s masquerade ball, Cynthia is worried their conflict will have repercussions on her friendship with NeNe. With his surprise birthday party looming ahead, it’s unclear if NeNe will be a no-show.

Meanwhile, Kenya seeks answers from Marlo after NeNe’s over the top display at her charity event, and decides to confront NeNe about her actions. As Porsha prepares for her role in Kandi’s musical, NeNe offers her acting tips and also begins to question Kenya and Marlo’s new friendship. Hoping to move on from all the recent drama, Kenya invites the girls to a couples trip do-over in Mexico. At Cynthia’s Bailey Bowl fitness event, the light-hearted day turns dark when Marlo and NeNe square off in front of a packed crowd leaving Kenya caught in the middle of their shattered friendship.”

Is there an event on this show that has not ended in craziness, or is there some sort of Pavlovian tendency for these ladies to go berserk the moment that they realize that someone is hosting something? The best part of this entire event to us is the shirt that NeNe is wearing. Classic.

Whoopi Goldberg Tells Off Mama Joyce!

Kandi constantly gets criticism about her relationship with Todd from her mom, Joyce. Now, Whoopi Goldberg is letting Joyce know exactly what she thinks of the situation.

Kandi, Joyce, and Todd appeared on The View, and Whoopi doesn't like that Joyce keeps meddling in Kandi's business. "You have a man in your life, right?" Whoopi asks Joyce. When Joyce says yes, Whoopi asks, "Is [Kandi] up in your business?" to which Joyce reluctantly says no.

Then, Whoopi gets real. "You and I are minutes apart in terms of age — we don't have time for this mess," Whoopi tells Joyce. "Let her make the mistake if she's gonna make the mistake."

Daisy and Mica Talk Daddy Issues, Alcoholism!

Things are really heating up on Bravo’s Blood, Sweat, and Heels! We caught up with cast members Daisy Lewellyn and Mica Hughes to talk about daddy issues, alcoholism, that frightful incident in the Hamptons, and more.

ESSENCE.com: Mica, you found out her father passed away shortly before the group’s trip to the Hamptons, which ultimately led to that ghastly encounter in the Hampton's. How did it feel to watch that episode?

Mica Hughes: It was really hurtful to see myself like that. I had family members who contacted me who said they cried watching the episode. To go through that and then have to watch myself go through it was really hard.

Daisy Llewelyn: Melissa and I weren’t there so I was very nervous and anxious about seeing it. I was almost in tears because I just felt so bad for Mica. It was like she was walking into a lion’s den. At one point I almost yelled at the screen, ‘She just lost her father! Oh my gosh!’ They didn’t know her father had passed away but they were very aware that she was going through a hard time. If they were to lose a parent, they would definitely want compassion and I hope they never have to experience what they made Mica experience.

ESSENCE.com: Alcohol consumption on the showhas become a reoccurring topic. How do you feel about some of your cast mates labeling you an alcoholic, Mica?

Mica: I felt like it's a low blow. On a reality show once someone calls you an alcoholic or a drunk, the camera is going to pay attention to every time you lift a glass and then it’s going to be sensationalized and of course people are going to believe it. I don’t have a problem with alcohol. Anyone who knows me knows it’s not true. So for two girls who don’t even know me to say that shouldn’t be taken as fact.

Daisy: I think it’s so funny that they’ve been discussing an accusation as if it’s factual. Alcoholism is very serious. People’s lives are destroyed because of it so to take it from your opinion to actually having conversations and interviews as if its been proven factual is very strange.

ESSENCE.com: You both have very relatable father situations. Daisy, you and your father went through hard times and then reconciled and now have a great relationship.

Daisy: The Bible inspired my decision. I read a scripture that basically asked, ‘How can you say you love God whom you’ve never seen and say you hate man who you see all the time.’ I thought, 'Whoa that’s for me. I have to love my father no matter what, because he’s my dad.' I called him and apologized for the things I have done, I did not bring up anything he had done; I simply made a proactive effort to have a relationship with him not hold on to the past.

ESSENCE.com: Mica, on this week's episode, we get the background story of how your boyfriend Terry started dating you while he was still in a 20-year-long relationship. What made you decide to stay with him after finding out?

Mica: For me it was an instinct. I felt that it was just bad timing on his end and not that he was just a liar or a cheater. I also had a discussion with his ex and she didn’t even bash him. It was just a time where he was in a relationship that he wanted to get out of but didn’t want to tell me because he didn’t want to lose me.

Piers Morgan Tonight to be cancelled "probably in March"

$

There have been times when the CNN host Piers Morgan didn’t seem to like America very much — and American audiences have been more than willing to return the favor. Three years after taking over for Larry King, Mr. Morgan has seen the ratings for “Piers Morgan Live” hit some new lows, drawing a fraction of viewers compared with competitors at Fox News and MSNBC.

It’s been an unhappy collision between a British television personality who refuses to assimilate — the only football he cares about is round and his lectures on guns were rife with contempt — and a CNN audience that is intrinsically provincial. After all, the people who tune into a cable news network are, by their nature, deeply interested in America.

CNN’s president, Jeffrey Zucker, has other problems, but none bigger than Mr. Morgan and his plum 9 p.m. time slot. Mr. Morgan said last week that he and Mr. Zucker had been talking about the show’s failure to connect and had decided to pull the plug, probably in March.

“It’s been a painful period and lately we have taken a bath in the ratings,” Morgan said, adding that although there had been times when the show connected in terms of audience, slow news days were problematic.

“Look, I am a British guy debating American cultural issues, including guns, which has been very polarizing, and there is no doubt that there are many in the audience who are tired of me banging on about it,” he said. “That’s run its course and Jeff and I have been talking for some time about different ways of using me.”

Too dirrty to clean her act up! Christina Aguilera saw some obvious similarities between new wild child Miley Cyrus and her own "Dirrty" days at Saturday night's Staples Center concert on her Bangerz Tour.

"Cheers from one dirrty girl to the next @MileyCyrus…wear em' loud & proud, girl- yes!!" Aguilera, 33, tweeted with a photo of Cyrus, 21, wearing red chaps with her name written down on leg.

The "Beautiful" singer was the first pop diva to make the fashion statement back in 2002 when her song "Dirrty" came out, wearing similar yellow leather chaps with "Xtina" written down the leg. Both ladies started their careers working for Disney, with Aguilera performing as a Mouseketeer and Cyrus as Hannah Montana.

Aguilera seems to have come a long way since her days of rebellion. In the past week, she announced the news of her engagement to boyfriend Matt Rutler, and Us Weekly exclusively broke the news of her second pregnancy on Feb. 20. ?
The mother of 6-year-old Max wasn't the only concert goer at last night's Los Angeles show. Cyrus infamously locked lips with Katy Perry, and the photo of the moment instantly went viral. American Horror Story star Sarah Paulson was also in the audience, and Cyrus was overjoyed to find out that fellow Disney alum Hilary Duff was also in attendance.
