(CNN) -- Authorities believe at least two people have been injured in a shooting Friday at Arapahoe High School in Centennial, Colorado, Sheriff Grayson Robinson told CNN affiliateKMGH.

The shooter is still believed to be inside the school, Robinson said.

Dozens of children could be seen walking away from the school, with their hands in the air. Some stood in lines at what appeared the high school track field, where they appeared to be undergoing police pat-downs.

Parents were being asked to go to an area church, Shepherd of the Hills, to meet their children, the sheriff said.

The high school, with a student population of 2,229 students, has 70 classrooms. The school, which was built in 1964, is part of the Littleton Public Schools system.

All schools in the system have been put on lock down, authorities said.

Outside Arapahoe High School, police blocked roads leading to the campus.

The school is about 10 miles from Littleton, where Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold killed 12 students and one teacher in a rampage at Columbine High School in April 1999.

    (CNN) -- [Breaking news update, 4:09 p.m. ET}

The dead gunman was a male student at the high school, Sheriff Grayson Robinson told reporters. He declined to identify the student.

"We have not been able to locate a second suspect, but that's part of our ongoing investigation," the sheriff said.

The shooting began after the student entered the school and identified a teacher whom he wanted to confront, Robinson said. That teacher was informed of the situation and exited, he added. One student was taken to a hospital in serious condition with a gunshot wound; another was injured, though the cause was not clear, he said.

[Breaking news update, 3:57 p.m. ET]

The suspect in the shooting at Arapahoe High School is dead from what appears to have been a self-inflicted gunshot wound, Sheriff Grayson Robinson told reporters.

At least one person -- a minor -- has been taken to Littleton Adventist Hospital with a gunshot wound, Lauren Brendel, a hospital spokeswoman, told CNN. The age, gender and condition of the minor were not immediately released.

Khloe Kardashian reportedly filed for divorce from her husband of four years, Lamar Odom, on Friday.

The "Khloe & Lamar" star, who has had a tumultuous 2013 marked by the revelation of Odom's substance abuse issues and rumors of marital woes, moved to file documents ending her marriage on Friday, citing irreconcilable differences, reports.

She has reportedly asked the judge to legally drop "Odom" from her name, and is not asking for any spousal support.

The E! reality show couple have not been able to salvage their marriage after a year marked by news of Odom’s alleged drug addiction and reports of a rift between them.

Kardashian, 29, "stopped wearing her wedding ring," the gossip site reported, after a video of the 34-year-old basketball player surfaced in November, showing him involved in a bizarre freestyle rap and apparently bragging about cheating on his wife.

The youngest Kardashian sister also may have moved to call it quits after fighting to help her husband rehabilitate from his reported drug addiction. Over the summer, news broke that Odom struggled with abusing crack-cocaine, and it became a source of strife in their marriage.

Kardashian posted ominous, often telling photos and sayings to her Instagram and Twitter pages, but refrained from directly commenting on her relationship status.

Odom also attempted to keep the focus on his basketball career - despite also being derailed and eventually accepting probation for a DUI arrest in September - only took to Twitter once to defend his Kardashian family against the accusations of his father Joe Odom.

"His own demons may be the ONLY thing he gave 2 me," Odom said of his father in a rant on Sept. 24."He (is) disrespecting the ONLY FAMILY that has loved me without expecting anything in return. They are the ONLY ones that have been here consistently 4 me during this dark time. Only person 2 blame is myself."

The saga of the "fake" sign language interpreter at Nelson Mandela's memorial continues to grow stranger and darker: One day after Thamsanqa Jantjie, the interpreter, told reporters he was hallucinating during the ceremony, South Africa's eNCA reported that—over the past 20 years—Jantjie has been charged with murder, rape, theft, and kidnapping.

According to eNCA, Jantjie was charged with rape in 1994, theft in 1995, housebreaking in 1997, malicious damage to property in 1998, and murder, attempted murder, and kidnapping in 2003. Most of the charges were dropped after authorities ruled Jantjie mentally unfit to stand trial, and he was only convicted on the 1995 charge of theft, though it's not clear how much, if any, jail time he served.

Making Jantjie's history more mysterious: When eNCA found the court file for his 2003 murder and kidnapping case, all of its contents were missing.  The eNCA said they put their report together in less than 48 hours, raising further questions about the background checks performed by the South African officials in charge of security at the memorial.

Stephen King has been on Twitter for all of four days, and he seems — oddly! — at a loss for words.

The prolific novelist, who has penned something like 29 million words in his lifetime, has managed only four little missives thus far: two on the launch of his account (“no longer a virgin. Be gentle!”) and two on things he is reading and watching (Benjamin Percy’s “Red Moon,” and the French zombie drama “The Returned”). That lack of output hasn’t stopped @StephenKing from running up nearly 190,000 followers within its first days online and earning hundreds of retweets and replies to every little dribble of thought he allows out.

This is, intriguingly, a paradox that many novelists have found themselves in before; Thomas Beller, the essayist and author of “The Sleep-Over Artist,” (and, it must be said, a pretty regular tweeter himself), posited in the New Yorker last June that Twitter — with its insistence we “think in public” — alternately paralyzes and empowers writers, who are so accustomed to the privacy of their own brains:

I sometimes wonder how the great writers of the past would handle the Twitter predicament. Would they ignore it or engage and go down the rabbit hole?…

Writing on Twitter brings the energy of a début to every phrase. You could say it imbues writing with a sense of performance, though writing has always involved performance in the sense of performance anxiety. The question for the writer who is leaving multiple pages crumpled on the floor—literally or figuratively—is for whom is that line, or paragraph, unsatisfactory? Who is the appraiser of one’s own unpublished, or even unwritten, work?

Of course, many writers have gotten over it. A few weeks into her Twitter career, the tireless Joyce Carol Oates wrote the whole thing off as “an interesting experience” that she planned to discontinue; 14 months later, she’s still serving her wacky, occasionally beautiful observations on everything from her cat to the last movie she saw. Salman Rushdie likewise dipped a toe into the Twitter waters “with some trepidation” — “don’t know how long I’ll stay … we shall see,” he followed up. Rushdie is now, per The Telegraph, one of the most prolific writers on Twitter.

One steadfast literary hold-out against social media’s seductive pull? Jonathan Franzen, technophobe extraordinaire, who has panned tweeting writers as one of the great horrors of the modern world. Maybe that could be fodder for King’s next novel … when he gets the hang of this whole Twitter thing.

Prince isn't the only one guest starring on a Fox comedy. Adam Sandler is, too!

The funnyman is shooting the Super Bowl episode of Fox's new comedy, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, reuniting with his real-life pal Andy Samberg sources confirm exclusively to E! News.

Fox is not commenting, however, insiders tell us that Sandler will be playing himself and the episode is shooting this week.

It's quite a good day for Brooklyn, as the freshman series received a nomination for comedy series and lead actor (for Samberg) for the 2014 Golden Globes.

As we previously reported, Prince will be guest starring on New Girl, airing on the Super Bowl, too.

We spoke with Brooklyn creator Mike Schur earlier today, who was celebrating two of his shows' Globe nominations (Brooklyn and Parks and Recreation) and he said this of the Super Bowl episode: "It's very fun. There's a lot of Terry Crews and Andre Braugher together, which I love. The two of them have a big storyline together and they're really, really funny together. And then there's some super Bowl specific stuff but we really just tried to create a really just big, bright, funny, juicy, comedy story."

Brooklyn's Super Bowl episode also will be easily accessible to anyone who hasn't watched a single episode yet. "We're hoping a lot of people will check out the show for the first time," Schur explained,
"because the entire universe watches the Super Bowl. And so we really just wanted to sort of introduce the characters to a wider audience. We tried to just build a couple stories that are really explaining in the funniest way who everyone is."

Brooklyn is easily one of the best new comedies of the season, airing Tuesday nights on Fox. Despite Fox's recent scheduling shakeup, with Glee moving back to Tuesdays, Brooklyn is keeping its spot on Tuesday nights. Surely, a vote of confidence from the network. And for good reason.

Said to be one of two finalists for the role last week, "Game of Thrones" star Emilia Clarke has won the role of Sarah Connor in the upcoming Terminator reboot. Deadline has the news, reporting that Clarke joins the already-attached Arnold Schwarzenegger with Jason Clarke nearly set to play a later version of Sarah Connor's son, John Connor.

The first in a stand-alone trilogy, Terminator will be produced by Megan Ellison of Annapurna and David Ellison of Skydance. Dana Goldberg and Paul Schwake of Skydance will serve as executive producers. Laeta Kalorgridis (Avatar, Shutter Island) and Patrick Lussier (Drive Angry) are attached to write the screenplay.

Alan Taylor, who has previously worked with Emilia Clarke on the hit HBO fantasy series, is directing the new film, which is slated to hit theaters July 2, 2015.

'Tis the end of the year! We laughed, we loved, an then we inevitably hated this year's most popular memes. Memebase is here to take you back through the internets and remember this year in memes.

    Harlem Shake

Harlem Shake is the title of a 2012 heavy bass instrumental track produced by Baauer. In February 2013, the song spawned a series of dance videos that begin with a masked individual dancing alone in a group before suddenly cutting to a wild dance party featuring the entire group. Despite what the name suggests, the videos present a wide range of hip hop dances, including the Bernie, Twerking as well as improvisations.

Whether you love or hate the Harlem Shake you cannot deny the impact it had by dominating the internet in early 2013. Parody videos blew up such as this Slender Man version:

Harlem Shake even had its own repercussions. Individuals all over the world were creating their own Harlem Shake videos by participating in the meme on the job, in school, or on monuments.

    Unflattering Beyonce

Unflattering Beyonce is a photoshop meme based on humorously timed screen captures of the singer Beyonce from her 2013 performance at Super Bowl XLVII.

Did you know Beyonce was in the Olympics?

Doge is a slang term for “dog” that is primarily associated with pictures of Shiba Inus (nicknamed “Shibe”) and internal monologue captions. These photos are also photoshopped to change the dog’s face or captioned with interior monologues in Comic Sans font.

Doge is the most popular meme right now (also most hated). No matter what you do, you can't escape the doge.

    Ylvis - The Fox

"The Fox" is a song by the Norwegian comedy music duo Ylvis which gained online notoriety following the release of their crazy music video.

And just in case you were curious, here's what the fox actually says:

    Thanks, Obama!

Thanks, Obama! is a sarcastic expression used by critics of President Barack Obama to blame personal troubles and inconveniences on public policies supported or enacted by the administration. The phrase is often used to caption animated GIFs in which the subject appears to be struggling with a rather simple task, satirizing those who scapegoat Obama as the cause of problems for which he has little or no influence.

The meme took off in 2013 with the Government Shutdown and Obamacare.
