The actors will document their progress with the smartphone’s 13-megapixel camera, and broadcast the videos on Funny or Die.
The journey will take the pair to Las Vegas for skydiving, Colorado for fly-boarding, and Chicago for giant pizza. The trip, which kicks off on Sept. 8, culminates in New York City with a party where LG will pimp out their new phone with product demonstration booths.
Driven by a voice that's generally pushed up to a verge-of-hysteria falsetto, The Weeknd's Gothic style interrogates a lot of the clichés of boilerplate R&B. As a Toronto-based singer-songwriter and producer, Abel Tesfaye became an Internet phenomenon when he began self-releasing free mixtapes of woozy, haunted R&B songs in 2010. While he later repackaged this material for a collection called Trilogy, Kiss Land is his proper major-label debut.
What's most remarkable about The Weeknd's music, besides its deeply narcotic electronic arrangements, is how remote and twisted love generally seems amid the familiar trappings of pop-music bliss. But on the more conventional tracks, when he tries to have it both ways, his approach can verge on schtick.
Regardless, the hat trick of Tesfaye's art is that, by singing about emotional numbness, he makes music that's the opposite of numbing — raw, probing and totally alive.

Here at OMD we sometimes need our minds blown. You know, to keep things interesting. In those situations we turn to these super deep moments in some of our favorite Disney movies. It’s like giving ourselves a pep talk. We have a think. We take a moment. And we move on. Join us, won’t you?
“The past can hurt. But the way I see it, you can either run from it or learn from it.” – Rafiki, The Lion King
Rafiki is pretty wise. And this is great advice. We’re glad we got it second-hand and Rafiki didn’t have to hit us on the head with a stick to drive the point home…cough, cough…Simba…cough, cough.
“Sometimes the right path is not the easiest one.” – Grandmother Willow, Pocahontas
We have never met a wiser tree. And that’s saying something.
“If watching is all you’re going to do, then you’re going to watch your life go by without you.” – Laverne, The Hunchback of Notre Dame
We mean, wow.
“The flower that blooms in adversity is the most rare and beautiful of all.” – Emperor, Mulan
We heart the emperor; he thinks Mulan is the bees knees and we’d have to agree. So all you Huns who underestimated her, don’t you feel silly?
“If you don’t think, then you shouldn’t talk.” - March Hare, Alice in Wonderland
Oh. Snap. That is all.

Republic’s Ariana Grande is #1 on our Album Sales Chart this week with Yours Truly, in yet another win for the firm of Lipman, Lipman and Walk. The songstress moved an impressive 135k in her debut.
Ariana is followed by two other bows, from Epic’s Tamar Braxton (#2, 117k) and Columbia’s Nine Inch Nails (#3, 105k). Braxton’s last release, from back in 2000, bowed with 12k and has sold 96k to date, while Trent Reznor and company’s 2008 indie set debuted with 29k and has moved 115 RTD.
Two other debuts appear in the Top 10, from Columbia’s John Legend (#5, 65k) and Atlantic’s Jaheim (56k); Capitol’s Bastille opened strong with 34k for #11.
Chart veteran Luke Bryan (Capitol Nashville) holds the #4 position with 67k (-30%), while Star Trak/Interscope’s Robin Thicke drops a mere 1% for sixth place with 57k.
Streeting today are XO/Republic’s The Weeknd, Capitol Nashville’s Keith Urban and Def Jam/IDJ’s 2 Chainz, among others, as the ramp-up to Q4 continues.
Now if you’ll excuse us, we have to go lick a sledgehammer. It’s how we blow off steam.
TORONTO -- Have you missed Taylor Kitsch? He's dipping a toe in publicity again, thanks to his new indie, The Grand Seduction.
The charming comedy (which has distribution plans in the U.K. and Canada thus far) encourages the on-screen charm that made Kitsch famous in cult hit Friday Night Lights. He plays Dr. Lewis, a cricket-loving, big city doctor courted by a struggling harbor town in Newfoundland. If he signs on to stay, the fishing town will win a bid for a new factory contract. If he grows bored of the whiskered townspeople, the paltry restaurant and the one young, single girl who seemingly loathes him, hope is out the window.
"This one was just a lot of fun," says Kitsch, who stars opposite Brendan Gleeson (uproariously funny as the town's go-to strategist) in The Grand Seduction. "To go to work with Brendan, to be in Newfoundland for six weeks. I had a great schedule. I learned to fly fish. I'm terrible. It's no joke to catch salmon on a fly rod."
During that time he bulked up for Lone Survivor (out Dec. 27), Peter Berg's studio-sized take on a failed 2005 SEAL mission to kill a Taliban leader. "I saw Lone three weeks ago," says Kitsch. "Oh my god. It's so good. It's so tough to watch. It's ridiculously emotional. I broke three times watching it."
What's the star been up to since coming under fire for a trio of commercial disappointments in 2012? He recalls the seven straight months of "crazy, exhausting" globe-trotting press John Carter, Battleship and Savages required.
"It is refreshing, to be blunt," he says. "I went back to why I do what I do. It's nice not to have a 200-foot green screen in front of me. And it's going to be a long time before I do. We've been offered another huge, crazy-big movie but we're not doing it." We? "Me and my team," he says with a smile. "This is such a team, man."
After Lone Survivor, Kitsch will appear in HBO film The Normal Heart, and he's written and directed a 30-minute short film. "It''s nice to have just set in and worked again and got into why you do what you do," he says. "It's just been incredibly fulfilling these last few."
Yes! Need FNL style Taylor back.
Coronation Street actor Michael Le Vell has said he is "delighted" after being found not guilty of child sex abuse charges, including rape.
Mr Le Vell, 48, who was on trial under his real name Michael Turner, breathed out and said "thank you" as the jury's verdict was announced.
He had maintained his innocence throughout and was cleared of 12 child sex offences.
The actor held his head up as the male foreman began giving the verdicts to a hushed and packed courtroom after around five hours of deliberations.
His brother and sisters, who sat in the public gallery, were in tears as the verdicts were delivered. One man shouted "get in" when the last verdict was read out.
Surrounded by supporters outside court, Mr Le Vell said the verdict was a "big weight off everyone's shoulders".
He added: "I might go and have a drink now."
Asked when he would return to Coronation Street, Mr Le Vell replied: "I don't know, I might have a holiday first. I'll have to go and have a chat with my boss."
A Coronation Street spokeswoman said: "We are looking forward to meeting with Michael to discuss his return to the programme."
His accuser, who cannot be named, was not in court for the verdicts but she had earlier sobbed as she claimed Mr Le Vell - known to millions as the ITV show's Kevin Webster - raped her as she clutched a teddy bear.
The charges included five of rape.
The eight female and four male jurors were told they must decide if the alleged victim was telling the truth or set out to "quite literally destroy the life" of the accused.
During the eight day trial the "demons" in Mr Le Vell's private life were laid bare - his alcoholism and womanising while his wife battled breast cancer.
The court heard of his "dark secret" that he had enjoyed a string of one-night stands behind the back of his wife of 25 years, Janette Beverley.
And he had abandoned the family home to get drunk in the pub each night.
But while Mr Le Vell might be described as a "weak, stupid and drunk man" and a "bad husband", he was not a child rapist, the jury was told.
It was a "strange case of child rape" without any DNA evidence or injuries to the alleged victim, who claimed she had been raped and abused while a young girl, his legal team said.
One of his supporters and close friend Nigel Pivaro, who played Terry Duckworth in Coronation Street, said: "He has suffered two years of hell and probably more also due to his high profile far more than most.
"It has been a long journey for him.
"Now the jury has spoken, he can pick up his career and his life."
Mr Le Vell was initially arrested on September 30, 2011, but the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) decided not to proceed with the case.
After a review of the evidence following fresh allegations by the girl, he was re-arrested and charged in February 2013.
A CPS spokesman said: "This case was reviewed in great detail, and the evidence subject to careful scrutiny before a decision was taken to prosecute.
"On the basis of the reviews the CPS concluded that there was sufficient evidence for a realistic prospect of conviction.
"As these were very serious allegations of child sexual abuse it therefore followed that it was in the public interest to place that evidence before a jury at court."
Mr Le Vell first joined Coronation Street in 1983 and quickly endeared himself to fans, who have followed the trials and tribulations of Kevin, from his days as Brian Tilsley's apprentice mechanic through to his stormy marriage to Sally, played by Sally Dynevor.
He did not appear in any episodes of the soap during the legal proceedings.
Miley Cyrus' bares her soul—and her body—in her just-released "Wrecking Ball" music video. Though it's already broken the VEVO record for most views in 24 hours, the Terry Richardson-directed clip has also caused plenty of controversy. During a Sept. 11 Elvis Duran and the Morning Show radio interview, however, Cyrus downplayed the video's in-your-face nudity.
"I think the video is much more [than that]. If people get past the point I make, and you actually look at me, you can tell I look more broken than even the song sounds," she explained of the haunting track, produced by Dr. Luke and Cirkut.
The 20-year-old pop star continued, "The song is a pop ballad that everyone can relate to; everyone has felt that feeling at some point. If people can take their minds off the obvious and go into their imagination and see what the video really means, it is so vulnerable."
Cyrus, as more than 19 million viewers know, spends much of the video in tears. "If you look at my eyes, I look more sad than actually my voice sounds on the record," she pointed out. "It was a lot harder to do the video than it was to record the song. It was much more of an emotional experience."
The former Disney Channel star also revealed that she was nervous about releasing "Wrecking Ball" as the second single off her forthcoming album, Bangerz. "I was actually panicking last night because I felt like for me, with ‘We Can't Stop," there was all this anticipation and all this time to build up this one single. I have been so busy right now with ‘We Can't Stop' still doing what it's doing...so I feel like I have so much going on."
As far as her image goes, Cyrus laughed when she was named the unofficial queen of twerking: "For me, anything I do becomes it becomes such a big deal. I'm just having fun. Whatever people label it as it doesn't really matter. I always want to switch it up."
ok so were already to 40 million so quick... how about directors cut once smilers get it to 150 million???? =] i know yall love a challenge.— Miley Ray Cyrus (@MileyCyrus) September 11, 2013
Clive Tanaka says 2011 composition was lifted to create "Starships"
Pop star Nicki Minaj burned up dance floors last summer with her hit song "Starships," which set a Billboard record for its stretch of 21 consecutive weeks in the Top 10.
Clive Tanaka, meanwhile, is an underground artist who has cloaked himself in mystery. While his meticulously crafted electronic music has won accolades, he's never performed in public. His fans don't know his real name or even where he hails from.
Now Tanaka, in a lawsuit filed under the name of his company, is accusing the Trinidad-born Minaj of stealing from his 2011 song "Neu Chicago" to create the electro-pop hooks that drove her best-selling single.
In a copyright infringement suit filed Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Chicago, Tanaka said Minaj and several of her "Starships" collaborators copied substantial portions of "Neu Chicago," which Tanaka claims had already enjoyed widespread airplay in the U.S. and hundreds of thousands of listens online by the time "Starships" was written.
Tanaka, whose company, Tanaka Light Industries USA, lists a business address in an industrial building on Chicago's West Side, was not available for comment. The only personal information provided in the suit states that Tanaka was born in 1976 and is a U.S. citizen.
His attorney, Christopher Niro, said Tanaka was "working on a new album and screenplay," possibly in South America.
"Argentina, from what I was told," Niro said in an interview at his Loop offices at Niro, Haller & Niro. "He's kind of a reclusive — he makes and produces music and that's his goal."
In addition to Minaj, the lawsuit names RedOne, whose real name is Nadir Khayat, a Moroccan producer and songwriter behind hits for stars like Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez and Pitbull. Also named are three other writers on "Starships," Carl Falk, Wayne Hector and Rami Yacoub.
Calls to Minaj's manager, Manny Halley, as well as to representatives of RedOne, were not returned Tuesday.
According to the suit, RedOne and Minaj's other collaborators are citizens of Sweden and may have been living there around the time when "Neu Chicago" was being used in television advertising campaigns for a clothing retailer as well as a Swedish beverage company.
"They had a very good opportunity to hear it," Niro said.
The lawsuit was filed more than a year after Tanaka posted a clip on the music-sharing site SoundCloud under the headline "Neu Starships." The clip synchronizes the two songs, with a listener hearing Tanaka's song in the right ear and "Starships" in the left.
"We believe they are similar to the point that it is nearly impossible for it to be a coincidence," Niro said.
Steven Bellery has interviewed Brahim Zaibat for French radio station RTL backstage at the Palais des Congrès in Paris, where the Robin Hood musical will premiere on September 26th. Most of the questions are of course about Madonna.
Here’s what he had to say about the Queen of Pop…
She’s not a monster.
She has two eyes, not seven. She’s got two arms, two legs just like everybody else. She’s a normal woman.
She’s an artist, just like any other, but I respect her a lot more as she gives a lot more to the public than most.
So if we’re talking about the myth/legend, there is no myth/legend. As far as I’m concerned, Michael Jackson is the only myth/legend.
On working together…
I sometimes train with her because she has a really physical workout.
I don’t think that many people can keep up with her.
She’s a machine. That says it all.
Hard work pays off.
You can become a machine, whatever your age, size, weight.
She works out every day and since I’ve met her, I do the same.
I have a lot of respect for her.
On meeting Madonna as a life changing experience?
My life hasn’t changed.
Everything is good.
I just got older.
I’m still here, grounded. I see my family, I go back to Lyon and Paris.
I may live in New York, but I’m still the same person.

You are going to be shocked when you see this former superstar in the next couple of months!
Reports from the set of her latest project are that she is amazingly healthy… and fit… and mentally sharp! We can’t even remember the last year that she was all three of those thing at the same time.
She is so healthy and fit that the body double and the stunt person that were hired to sub in her for on certain shots have been sitting on the sidelines during the entire shoot! She is doing all her own work, and she is performing like she did during her peak.
She is totally in charge on this production. No, she’s not being a bitch. She just knows what she wants, and she has been ordering people around with a confident smile. The crew reports that she shows up prepared and energetic every single day, and that she is genuinely happy, creative, encouraging and quite funny. They are really loving working with her.
In fact, she is so sharp and mentally fit that we are pleased to exclusively report that a certain legal arrangement that was designed to protect her is being dissolved soon!
She is clearly ready for a professional comeback, and ready to take charge of her own life again.

Aw I really hope this is true. You can tell she is in a better place than she has been in awhile.

Katherine Heigl Difficult, Demanding, "Not Worth It," Hollywood Insiders Claim
Heigl's got some haters. In a surprising new story, Katherine Heigl's deflating career and reputation in Hollywood are scrutinized as multiple film and TV insiders claim to the Hollywood Reporter that the A-list actress isn't exactly a joy to work with.
One source who worked with the star on the 2010 film Life As We Know It described "desperately difficult situations" with Heigl on set. "She can cost you time every single day of shooting," the source charged of Heigl, 34, who was paid $12 million for the film. "Wardrobe issues, not getting out of the trailer, questioning the script every single day."
(The film's director Greg Berlanti disagrees, telling THR: "I would work with her again in a heartbeat.")
Making matters worse, says the source, was her mother and manager Nancy Heigl, who has worked closely with her daughter since her days as a child model. "I have never experienced anything like Nancy Heigl," says the source. "It's about the mouth. 'F--- you. You are a f---ing liar.' Whatever you'd say, you were an idiot. The call would be, 'This is the worst craft service we've ever had! There's nothing to eat! This is the worst wardrobe!' You knew that every day, you were going to get slammed. The frustrating part is [Heigl] is incredibly talented and smart."
Life as We Know It producer Denise Di Novi tells THR those accusations are "way exaggerated," but acknowledges that both Katherine and her mom "are not shrinking violets. They're very straightforward and tell you what they think."Another source tells THR that the pair made similarly outrageous requests for 2008's 27 Dresses, following Heigl's star-making turn in Knocked Up. "There were movie-star demands -- big rooms, the mother there, all the stuff . . . It was just a sense of entitlement. The biggest stars don't do that kind of thing."
As Heigl endeavors to rebuild her career following a slew of box office disappointments over the past several, one anonymous TV executive quoted in the story says that Heigl's infamy is so bad that she was nixed as a potential lead in a new pilot. "On many levels, she would have been perfect for the role, but all of us said, 'She's not worth it.' "SOURCE
Look who already has some serious talent!
Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon's son, Moroccan Scott Cannon (nicknamed "Roc" for short), decided to do some exploring around the house when he uncovered a special guitar.
While daddy was off hosting America's Got Talent, the adorable 2-year-old played around with the musical instrument as mom captured the moment nearby. Based on their conversation, it appears Roc was more than interested in what the guitar could bring to his future.
"Roc: 'Mommy, what does it take to be Roc Starr?' Mommy: 'Rocky, just treat it as reality!'"Carey captioned on her Instagram picture. Do we have another singer on our hands?

Miley Cyrus’ naked antics lately aren’t enough to keep her fiancé, Liam Hemsworth, happy apparently, because he sent a graphic, sexually explicit text message to, January Jones, the woman he cheated on Miley with in the beginning of the year.
As the former Disney star is shocking the world with her provocative dancing and naked music video, Liam reportedly hit send on a raunchy text message to the Mad Men star one day this summer.
“I want to [expletive] you,” Liam’s dirty message to January said, according to a new report in Us Weekly.
January and Liam had a hot and heavy make out session in January at a house party during Oscar season, but since then he has remained engaged to Miley, despite their strained relationship. However, his latest sexting with January may be the end of their four year relationship.
“Liam and Miley haven’t officially split, but it’s over,” a source told the magazine. “It’s just that neither wants to pull the trigger.”
Liam’s relationship with January didn’t end after their earlier hookup, with a source saying she “consoled him” after he clandestinely contacted her about Miley’s wild ways, though her rep said “this is absolutely untrue.”
Even though they’re still living together in Miley’s California mansion, they spend almost zero time together, and with her album promotion and his Hunger Games promotion tour starting they’re going to be apart for the near future.
“They can avoid each other a bit longer, but it’s only a matter of time before they split for good,” a source said.
ETA: According to P*rez, Liam's rep said:
"The story of Liam Hemsworth and January Jones is entirely fabricated by US Weekly. There is no truth whatsoever to this tabloid fiction."
Is Madonna engaged?!
An eyewitness tells the new issue of In Touch that Madonna introduced her 25-year-old boyfriend of two years, Brahim Zaibat, as her fiancé at an Sept. 4 Rosh Hashanah service at the Kabbalah Centre in NYC.
And the singer wasn’t shy to introduce Zaibat as her new fiancé in front of her kids and other guests. “She looked so happy and didn’t try to keep it a secret,” the witness tells In Touch. “It was like she wanted everyone to know she was going to marry this man.”
Madonna and Zaibat have attended numerous services at the Kabbalah Centre together, but this is the first she has introduced him as more than her boyfriend.
