10 years later, here are the 10 best episodes of Torchwood imho.

    10. Reset

During Season 2, Freema Agyeman (Martha Jones) had a recurring role during three episodes, in the first of them she goes undercover into an organization that's been developing some kind of alien insects. During the final minutes, Owen, one of the members is killed, which at the time was quite surprising until they brought him back later...

    09. The Stolen Earth/Journey's End

Technically not a Torchwood episode, but a crossover with Doctor Who and The Sarah Jane Adventures, but after so many years it was so nice to see the doctor finally interact with the other shows, Rose, Martha and Harriet Jones to see them all come together to fight the Daleks.
*Harriet Jones typing skills tho smh*

    08. Immortal Sins

Nobody liked Miracle Day but some parts of it were good. Immortal Sins was when Gwen was blackmailed into turning Jack to the enemy or they will kill Rhys, her mom and her baby. Jack tells her the story of why the enemy wants him. The episode gives an inside look into one of Jack's old loves: Angelo. Who loved Jack but left him to be killed over and over by 'The family'. The enemy turns out to be old barely alive Angelo, trying to protect Jack from 'The family'.

    07. They Keep Killing Suzie

Even if it was revealed that Suzie was evil in the pilot, it was nice to see her come up with a plan even after coming back from the dead. Also, this episodes gets points for introducing the first Jack/Ianto flirting. A lead man in a sci-fi show flirting with another man?! How dare they! it's 2006!

    06. Fragments

If Torchwood did something well, was getting you attached to characters to kill them eventually. The team ended up trapped in a building when a bomb exploted which led to everyone's flashbacks to what they did before joining Torchwood. And the ending revealing that the guy behind everything was Jack's long lost evil presumed-to-be-dead brother, was the cherry on top. Losses points for giving us the worst CGI ever when they catch Myfanwy.

    05. The New World

The first episode of Miracle Day was actually good, it was a very nice setup for what could've been a great story if told right, but they way they set up the worldwide problem of nobody dying and the human race extinguishing was quite engaging.

    04. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang

    03. Exit Wounds

Torchwood just knew how to hit you right in the feels. Exit Wounds was just devastating because Jack had to die during 2000 years to wake up and 'kill' his own brother, who had just killed Toshiko (cause you're breaking my heart) and in the end, Owen had to die...again.

    02. Captain Jack Harkness

Probably the best episode of backstory Torchwood has given. Jack and Toshiko got stuck back in time and they met the real Jack Harkness, a closeted captain who was set to die after going to war the next day, but just before he went to war he allowed a tiny moment of happiness with Jack. The entire episode is a great old school gay romance novel.

    01. Children of Earth, Part 1

Children of Earth was by faaaaaaar the best thing Torchwood has done. A compelling case of what the world will do if they had to surrender their Children to aliens. And even if it ended tragically wrong, it was a great setup for the things to come. It also gave great development to the character: Torchwood was rebuilding itself, Jack and Ianto became a couple, Gwen was pregnant, Ianto came out to his sister and the cliffhanger with the bomb inside Jack was one of the best things Torchwood did in their runtime.

ONTD, do you remember when Torchwood was ONTD's favorite show? Jack and Ianto thanks you for your time.

As most of you may have noticed, on Friday a massive cyberattack managed to take down many popular sites and services such as Twitter, Netflix, PSN, and others. You can read here why this attack was particularly troubling to experts.

And the internet being what it is, even in these dark times, some managed to find a way to have some fun with this. Netflix's Black Mirror account tweeted the above, which references the Season 3 premiere episode, Nosedive, in which your rating in society can determine privileges awarded or taken away from you.

Not to be outdone, USA Network's Mr. Robot tweeted the below :

How did you survive without Twitter/Netflix/PSN and such? I cleaned my apartment and chuckled over my friend sending me angry messages about missing the Battlefield 1 Beta. Also, feel free to use this as another discussion post for Black Mirror! Apologies, meant to try and submit one on Friday evening since some of you said you'd be starting the marathon this weekend. So, likes/dislikes about the new season? Favorite episode/moment? Catch any of the easters eggs? Personally, I'm still recovering over Shut Up and Dance...

No one really knows who he is, and Lana hasalf hasn't made any announcements, therefore fans are sceptical yet hysteric (incl. me). She could just release an album off of her unreleased tracks. Tilda Swinton attended the world premiere at the TCL Chinese Theatre on Thursday night and told critics:

"They need to see the film to understand why Scott Derrickson and Kevin Feige decided to reimagine the Ancient One as a woman. People shouting loud and proud about needing more diversity in Hollywood cinema have got us right behind them."

We need to talk about an Ancient Celtic One spinoff:

"I’m pretty confidently dropping hints in Kevin Feige’s ear about a prequel, I’m constantly harassing him about that. I don’t know if it’ll get anywhere. ... Just leaving the odd hint. Writing the odd note and putting it in his pocket. Writing lipstick messages in his mirror. Just seeing how far we get."

Writer Jon Spaihts on the casting choice:

"Tilda is an instance of us taking a male role and putting a woman in it, which I think the film badly needed. The comic world of ‘Doctor Strange’ is very male. So we were looking for opportunities to have not only ethnic diversity, but to have gender diversity in the film."

Director Scott Derrickson on the "diversity choice":

"I think diversity is the responsibility of directors and producers. In this case, the stereotype of [the Ancient One] had to be undone. I wanted it to be a woman, a middle-aged woman. Every iteration of that script played by an Asian woman felt like a ‘Dragon Lady,’ I’m very sensitive to the history of ‘Dragon Lady’ representation and Anna May Wong films. I moved away from that. Who’s the magical, mystical, woman with secrets that could work in this role? I thought Tilda Swinton."

Benedict Wong on his stereotype-dispelling character Master Wong:

"The idea of a man servant and tea-making sidekick isn’t that appealing. Scott and Kevin said vehemently ‘were not doing this.’ And I said, ‘Fantastic because neither am I.’"

    • That's why he started the small, intimate North Cornwall book festival, where shy novelists can mingle with other shy novelists and make friends.

Casey Affleck says he'll be voting for Hilary because "the alternative is so horrible" but his Affleck/Middleton production company partner, John Powers Middleton, is the top donor to Trump's presidential campaign. Aside from a $150k donation, Middleton once served as co-chair for the RNC's Young Eagles project.

With those connections you have to wonder if any profits from their films are going to Trump or other right wing causes and if so how does Affleck feel about that?

Their production company will also be working with Jay Z and Will Smith on an upcoming Emmett Till project for HBO and he's still planning to make a film in Mexico with soon to be ex brother in law Joaquin Phoenix.

I know this is in Spanish but it's the only source I could find. TBH I just want to know what ONTD thinks about their involvement in the Emmett Till project considering Casey's history and Middleton's political leanings.

ONTD, do you think people should be scrutinized for voluntarily working with Trump supporters or does that even matter as long as they don't support those beliefs?

I had a list of web series I’ve seen, have been meaning to or just heard of, so I decided to list them below with a short description and trailer for each.

The series centers around the experiences of Vivian McMillan (Rachael Hip-Flores), a sixteen-year-old lesbian whose father's illness prompts the two of them to move from Manhattan to the home of Vivian's maternal aunt in Westchester, about 30 minutes away. Vivian attempts to maintain her relationship with her girlfriend Aster Gaston (Nicole Pacent) while enrolling in a new school, negotiating old childhood connections, and establishing a new social circle in what she perceives to be a substantially different environment from her previous home in the city. It first aired on Strike.TV in 2008, and ‘Anyone But Me: The Lost Scenes’ was released last year with more of them.
