Broadway.com Audience Choice Award winner Jonathan Groff is looking for love and living it up with his best gay pals on the upcoming and still untitled HBO series. Set in San Francisco, the show stars Groff as a video game designer trying to find love on OkCupid and navigating the world of gay culture. The San Francisco Gate caught up with Groff to get some more details on the new series.

"The show hopefully will express all facets of gay life," he said. "We're all different types of people. There's lots of people who have anonymous sex. There's also people looking for love. There's people looking for an open relationship. There are also the queens. There are those you wouldn't know were gay. It's the gay experience."

In addition to Groff, the series is also slated to star Frankie J. Alvarez (Smash) and Murray Bartlett (All My Children).

HBO has already ordered eight episodes of the series based on Michael Lannan’s 2011 short film Lorimer. Directed by Andrew Haigh, the series will be produced by Sarah Condon (Bored to Death) and Broadway vet David Marshall Grant (Brothers and Sisters), alongside Lannan as co-executive producer.
