Because of "numerous questions", Such as "Why the fuck", the intended Popular Movie award will not be showing up for the 91st Oscar Ceremony this upcoming February.
The award was announced last month, but it did not lay out the criteria or voting process that would be used to determine films and eligibility.
“There has been a wide range of reactions to the introduction of a new award, and we recognize the need for further discussion with our members,” Academy CEO Dawn Hudson said.
No word on when or if the award will make its grand debut.
