Dragon Ball Z coming to Kinect?

The recent news that Namco is considering a Kinect version of Dragon Ball Z has left fans split over the idea, but at least it will be a new game to keep those who love the series happy – well we hope. The franchise is a very popular one and has seen new titles released each year, but this rumored version for the Xbox 360 will be a stand-alone game.
Dragon Ball Z has always had a fast pace, so you will need to keep those movements going at an alarming rate to make those famous attacks, we just hope the Kinect will be able to keep up and do the game justice?
Dragon Ball Z fans split on Kinect idea
News like this is always going to get a mixed reaction and when we hear that some fans believe this game would be better for the Move rather than the Kinect, it does make you think. The idea of controlling your DBZ character with the 360s motion-controller means you would have to move around a lot, which might not work in most people’s homes but Namco should have already thought of this.
There is a general consensus that the Kinect is only good for dancing games and not for fighting ones, but we have seen the device evolving all the time and will only get better with future updates. Not all fans are negative, as there are some who believe this to be a great idea and could prove interesting to play. What do you think of a Kinect version of Dragon Ball Z and how will the system be able to replicate keeping afloat, as you can’t keep going forward to keep yourself in mid-air?
We do hope Namco share some details with us soon, as this article reports that the DBZ Kinect is already in the testing stage and has been for some time. As the game is still in the early stages sharing details now might be a mistake because things will change, so they don’t want to follow Blizzard’s route and share every detail during development of Diablo III, only to disappoint us and take features out.
There is the possibility that this could give Dragon Ball Z the update that it has been screaming out for, as there are some gamers who would have you believe the game series has been in a downward spiral and couldn’t be as bad as some of the most recent versions. While the idea of a Kinect version may sound good to some the true DBZ fans would rather the next version go back to what made the game so great in the first place, something that Resident Evil fans share.
Where do you stand on this, is a Kincet version of Dragon Ball Z a good or bad idea?
