If your partner suggests this as the first dance song of your upcoming wedding, run. An ode to obsession, this is the ultimate stalker song. Singer Stevie Nicks wrote this after her break-up with guitarist Lindsey Buckingham. 'I'll follow you down ' til the sound of my voice will haunt you. You'll never get away from the sound of the woman that loves you,' sings Nicks who probably wasn't handling the break-up too well at the time.

Over a kind of unsettling heartbeat rhythm, Martin Gore tells us all about the caring, listening type of girl he wants, before ruining it all at the end, with the lines: ' Though things like this make me sick/in a case like this I'll get away with it'. Sweet.
ALL MINE - PORTISHEAD
'All mine...you have to be' sings Portishead's Beth Gibbons in this song of desire which takes on a menacing tone in the lines: 'Make no mistake/you shan't escape/tethered and tied/ There's nowhere to hide from me'. Let's assume it's metaphorical.

The fab four revealed a darker side in this threatening Lennon-penned track on 1965's 'Rubber Soul'.
