- The upcoming Freeform comedy Girls Code has cast its two leads, Kirby Howell-Baptiste (Downward Dog) and Sophia Di Martino (Flowers).
- Kim Rosenstock (New Girl, GLOW) will write and EP, and Paul Feig is producing.
- The show will revolve around the "odd couple" relationship between Wendy (Di Martino), a tech CEO who suffers a public setback, and Angela (Howell-Baptiste), an engineering professor who runs an incubator for female tech entrepreneurs.
- Other cast members include Rene Gube (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend), Hayley Magnus (The Dressmaker) and Andy Buckley (The Office).
Love Kirby and Rene from UCB stuff, and the concept sounds novel and interesting. I don't generally fuck with Freeform shows, but I'd give this a shot!
