Yesterday, the top subscribed Twitch streamer, Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins, was broadcasting his and his friend's game of the popular new multiplayer game Fortnite. Some time during the stream, he and his friend were listening to "44 More" by Logic, and Blevins began ad-libbing lyrics (y'all know where I'm going with this).
Naturally, as it happens with most white male gamers, Blevins accidentally let slip out the N-word while rapping, despite the song itself not having the word in it. This comes on the heels of Blevins running a record-breaking stream of Fortnite with Drake (who ended the debate if pineapple pizza is The Lord's gift to mankind, which it is thank you). Of course, as with all comes with all white males, the Gaming Internet is crying foul, yo-yo-ing between saying they didn't hear the word when they watched the stream themselves, to "it's just a word!! people say it every day!! don't put it in songs if you don't wanna hear it!!" All in all, another day in the online gaming community, in which another shitty thing goes unpunished, and POC's voices continue to be ignored.
OP Note - I honestly don't like the article: I think the writer tries to hard to play the field and promote "This is bad, BUTTT he's a good guy!!" but I wanted to ask people here. For ONTD gamers, do you play online? What is your experience?
ONTD, will you ascend to the heavens by liking the pineapple pizza?
