Former gay porn star Billy Herrington has died after sustaining injuries in a car accident on California State Route 111 this past Thursday. He was 48 years old.
Herrington, who appeared in nearly 20 films for such studios as Can-Am and Colt between 1998 and 2006, achieved Internet meme status when a clip from his 1999 film 'Workout: Muscle Fantasies 3' was posted to Niconico, a Japanese video sharing site. Known for his bodybuilder's physique, he was affectionately termed 兄貴 (Aniki, or "Big Brother") by members of the Nico Nico Douga community, with whom he remained engaged following his retirement from adult entertainment in 2006.
