The CW has order a trio of pilots that include "Arrow," "The Carrie Diaries" and "Beauty and The Beast."
"Arrow" is an hour-long drama based on the DC Comics character Green Arrow. Here's hoping they do it as well as Smallville, which even though it strayed from the original comic was a huge hit and loved by audiences across the nation. (JustinHartman Hartley who played Green Arrow on Smallville is not tied to this project.)
Set in Carrie Bradshaw's youth, "The Carrie Diaries" is set in the 1980's with Carrie discovering love, sex and friendship in high school in Manhattan - not science fiction, but worth checking out.
Remember that lovely series back the 80's with Ron Perlman and Lnda Hamilton about an educated, romantic beast living under the city? Well the new series is loosely based on that one only it's "a modern day romantic love story with a procedural twist."
If these pilots are well received you can expect to see them on CW's 2012 Fall schedule.
