If you’ve been watching the Olympics all weekend, then you probably already know that Grimm‘s season 2 premiere is just around the corner (Aug. 13). And if you take a look at the exclusive first promo below, you’ll see it’s likely going to be gold medal-worthy.
Season 2 of the supernatural drama will pick up right where the first season finale left off — with Det. Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli) having a lot of issues to contend with, not the least of which is coming face-to-face with his mother, who, as Monroe puts it, is supposed to be “not-so-alive.”
“I have a lot of enemies, Nick. It was safer for you if I was dead,” she tells him in the clip. (He’s less than willing to accept the excuse, it seems.)
More teases from the cast can be seen in the video below, so watch to learn how Nick’s main lady Juliette is doing after being scratched by a “monster cat,” how Nick’s partner Hank (Russell Hornsby) is dealing with paranoia after seeing his first creature last season, and to see what’s in store for “badass” Nick as he comes into his Grimm-ness.
Josh Stewart is going from playing a figurative monster in The Dark Knight Rises to a literal one on Grimm.

The actor — who’s currently creeping out theatergoers as Bane’s second in command in TDKR — has been tapped to guest star in an episode of NBC’s sophomore spookfest, TVLine has learned exclusively.
He’ll play Bill, a middle-class dude who moonlights as a Badger-esque creature called a Drang-Zorn.
Stewart is probably best known to TV audiences as JJ’s detective hubby Will on Criminal Minds. His other tube credits include Third Watch, Dirt and No Ordinary Family. Stewart will turn up in Episode 7.
Grimm‘s second season premieres Monday, Aug. 13 at 10/9c.

I don't suppose I'll see a Grimm tag sometime in the next 5 or 6 days? I'll keep asking anyway.
