'American Idol' Winner Phillip Phillips Earns First Gold Record
After setting a show record for first-week sales, the season 11 victor's coronation song "Home" tops 500,000 in sales.

Phillip Phillips' first single "Home" has gone gold, marking sales in excess of 500,000 units -- 523,477 to be exact, according to management and publishing company Pulse Recordings, which represents the song's co-writer and producer Drew Pearson. This week alone, it sold more than 27,000 copies.
Congratulations to Phillip on his first Gold record. He's had a very busy week since the start of the Tour: performing in major events, visiting radios to promote the tour and his single, shooting a music video for 'Home', etc, all only less than one month after surgery.
