Anne Hathaway has admitted that she was extremely upset after cutting her hair short.
The Les Miserables actress chopped her long locks for her role in the film. While she previously claimed that she had no reservations about her new look, she has since revealed that she was "inconsolable" in the days following.
Appearing on Live! with Kelly, Hathaway said that she was happy to take the steps her role required but was upset when she realized the cut could not be taken back.
"I wasn't expecting it to be a big deal. It was my idea to do it, since it was something the character did... [But then] I realized I couldn't take it back," Hathaway explained. "[I was] a mental patient level of crying... I was inconsolable."
Hathaway added that she found the adjustment to short hair to be harder than "doing back flips out of windows and jumping off buildings", as she had been required to do as Catwoman in The Dark Knight Returns.
She recently said that she became "strong" while preparing to take on the iconic role of Catwoman.
