WORLD EXCLUSIVE: Run-DMC Back Together
Legendary Hip-Hop group Run-DMC is back together, sources have confirmed with AllHipHop.com today (July 6).
A source close to both camps revealed that a high-level meeting took place between Run and DMC.
While details of the reunited pair’s upcoming business deals were not revealed, plans are secure and in place for the future of Run-DMC.
“Run-DMC is definitely back together, and it’s a great day for Hip-Hop,” a source told AllHipHop.com.
Run-DMC retired almost ten years ago, in November 2002, shortly after the death of group member Jam Master Jay.
“We can’t perform anymore. Nobody wants to see Run-DMC without Jay,” Run said in 2002. “Run-DMC is officially retired. I cannot get out in front of my fans with a new DJ. Some rock bands can replace the drummer and I don’t know any other way but to be the three original members. That’s all I can say. We are retired.”
For over 10 years, the group has refused to perform together, even in April of 2009, when they were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
During their hiatus, both Run and DMC stayed extremely busy.
Reverend Run hit big on the television with the hit reality series “Run’s House,” while also performing sold-out concerts with Kid Rock.
DMC won an Emmy Award for his documentary “DMC: My Adoption Journey,” while mentoring children with The Garden of Dreams Foundation.

KMG From Above The Law Dies
Rapper KMG of West coast rap group has died according to multiple reports.
While the cause of death has yet to be revealed, friends of the rapper tweeted their condolences.
Above The Law got their start as an act on Eazy-E’s Ruthless Records, with their 1990 album Livin’ Like Hustlers.
They went on to release seven more albums, including Black Mafia Life and Uncle Sam’s Curse, two albums credited with pioneering the “G-Funk” sound.
After Eazy’s death Above The Law was signed to Tommy Boy and Death Row Records.
More details will be released as they become available.

EXCLUSIVE: Method Man Talks “Crystal Meth,” “Blackout 3″, And Possible Wu-Tang And “How High 2″ Films
Method Man has been working on a number of projects over the last few years, including his fifth solo studio album, Crystal Meth, which is currently being recorded in conjunction with his and Redman’s third entry in their Blackout series.
Method Man wants to put out as much quality music as possible.
“Me and RZA are gonna work together on my next LP, Crystal Meth,” Method Man told AllHipHop.com. “I’m looking forward to getting back in the studio with the kid, ’cause we just came off a Wu tour, and the camaraderie was still there. So I know the chemistry is gonna be there when we go in the studio.
“If there’s still fans out there listening, then I’m definitely coming with some sh*t for you,” Method Man promised of his forthcoming music.
Despite what he feels was a slept-on album – in the form of 2009′s Blackout 2 and less than stellar feedback for his, Ghostface and Raekwon‘s collaborative album Wu-Massacre – Method Man doesn’t get hung up pleasing critics or “the mainstream.”
Fans of his longtime collaborations with Redman won’t have to wait much longer for Blackout 3, which Method Man says is being recorded at the same time as his solo album and Redman’s Muddy Waters 2.
The 20-year member of Wu-Tang Clan also pondered the possibility of filming How High 2 with Redman once a “good script” is written, whether he thinks the world will ever get a Wu-Tang biopic, and why he hasn’t been taking as many film roles in recent years.

ScHoolboy Q Talks Direction of New Album
“It gotta be different,” emphasized ScHoolboy, who has also been going by the nickname Puff Daddy (...but...nvm) as of late. “It’s like Habits & Contradictions was different from Setbacks. Setbacks had a lot more content in it, a lot more meaningful topics. Habits & Contradictions was more of a funner project. Not so serious.
“The next project is just gonna be the both of them put together,” he continued. “It has to be them two combined but with a new sound. You got to make somebody cry every album, at east one song. That’s what we go by at TDE. If you ain’t making nobody cry at least one song, go back and revitalize the shit.”
The interview also had him talking about recently collaborating with 50 Cent on the G-Unit general’s Five (Murder by Numbers) project.
“He shot me the record,” ScHoolboy said, referring to 50. “I always said 50 was cool.”

Actress Holly Robinson Peete Rips 50 Cent For Insensitive Remarks About Autism
Always opinionated and never one to hold back, 50 Cent is receiving backlash for a controversial comment he made on Twitter about autism.
Earlier this week, a fan tweeted 50, “Release the album or get shot again,” in reference to the Five (Murder by Numbers) official album that he was supposed to release, but instead gave away for free and announced his official Interscope LP will be arriving this November instead.
To that, ’Fif tweeted back, “yeah I just saw your picture fool you look autistic. i don’t want no special ed kids on my time line follow some body else,” for all his 6.8 million Twitter followers and more to see.
That set off a firestorm of heated reaction, including that from actress Holly Robinson Peete, whose 13-year-old Rodney Peete is autistic.
Robinson Peete responded by writing an open letter to 50 Cent and posting it on her website, HollyRod.org.
“Do you even know what autism is?” she asks the G-Unit general in one part of the letter. “And what exactly does “autistic” look like? 1 in 88 have it. That’s 1 in 54 boys. Families suffer a social stigma you will never know. It is a financial and emotional drain for millions…”
Robinson Peete, 47, also asked 50 to “please delete” the tweets to which he obliged.
The longtime actress, who had a role in the movie 21 Jump Street back in March, closed the letter by posting a picture of her son, Rodney.
“So I guess this is what autistic looks like?” she further questioned 50. “He is in special ed. He loves rap music and is a HUGE fan of yours. He’s a tremendous kid. He has to deal with so much trying to fit in. This isn’t helping.”
Robinson Peete is one of many parents who have bombarded 50’s twitter account over his insensitive remarks.

Zaytoven Directs and Scores Movie “Birds of a Feather” Starring Gucci Mane and Others
Bay Area bred/Atlanta based producer Zaytoven has announced a new movie called Birds of a Feather.
The movie includes live footage of actual recording sessions mixed with acting by artists that Zaytoven has recorded with over the years. The movie is centered around recording sessions for Gucci Mane, Rocko, and Zaytoven.The project, titled Birds of a Feather, incorporated real life situations with improvisational acting.
“It’s just something new for me. In the music business if anyone has kept up with me and what I can do, you know from the beginning of my career, its always been me working with someone I haven’t worked with, or something new, so I wanted to jump into the movies,” Zaytoven told AllHipHop.com.
“What I did is take all the guys that I work real close with in the music industry and did a movie sort of around me and how I made it into music with a twist and with some drama and comedy. Put it all together and you got my new movie, Birds of a Feather,” he added.
The Al Nuke directed flick features a host of other rappers from Atlanta including but not limited to, Gucci Mane, Rocko, Gorilla Zoe, Shawty Lo, DJ Scream, OJ the Juiceman, Big Bank Black, YC, Yung Ralph and the Dirty Boyz.
Birds of a Feather revolves around the life of Zaytoven, who plays a character of the same name.
He stars as an aspiring music producer from the Bay Area, recently relocated to Atlanta in search of fame and fortune.
In an attempt to gain instant success, Zaytoven allows his cousin Curtis (Nuke) to manage his career, but unbeknownst to Zaytoven, Curtis puts the two men in a life-threatening bind.
“I guess the way the title came together is that me Gucci and Rocko were working on a street album called Birds of a Feather, and everyday, I recorded video of it.
“I would ask questions about why we were calling the songs what they were and why we were doing the song, and I thought that I could do a movie on the whole experience,” Zaytoven continued. “These artists were coming to the house everyday, and it just worked out with the artists, and we are all alike, and we are all different. But there is real acting in this; it’s not a documentary. There’s real comedy and drama in this movie.”
Zaytoven also took part in scoring the movie, a task he hopes to pick up in other movies going forward.
“Me scoring the movie and putting the movie together really took a lot of time, but as a matter of fact, I just started working with [Rick] Ross a few days ago. I’m just doing this movie stuff to brand myself, I want to score movies, so why not score my own movie and get my feet wet? I’m still producing, but I really want to get into film,” he said.
Birds of a Feather is expected to be released in September.

Man Arrested In Connection With Trae The Truth Shooting/Murders
A 25-year-old Houston man has been arrested in connection with the shooting of Trae The Truth, that also left three people dead.
The incident unfolded on June 20 outside of the Diamond’s Gentleman’s Club in Houston, Texas.
Police accuse Feanyichi Uvukansi of opening fire on a crowd as they were leaving the adult nightclub.
Authorities believe Uvukansi was gunning for Coy “Poppa C” Thompson 23, who was among the three killed in the gunfire.
Three of the victims died, while Trae The Truth and an associate Willie Watkins, sustained minor injuries.
According to a report by KHOU in Houston, Uvukansi said he was surprised to learn that he was a suspect, and told authorities that he did not bring a gun to the club.
Feanyichi Uvukansi was charged with multiple counts of capital murder and is being held without bond.

Kendrick Lamar’s already booming popularity might be soaring to new heights pretty soon.
That’s because, Lady Gaga shouted out the Compton rhyme slinger and former XXL Freshman on Twitter during the Fourth of July holiday on Wednesday.
“@kendricklamar What a sweetie calling me this morning to see how I’m doin,” the international superstar tweeted out to her over 26 million followers on Twitter. “See you soon. love from across the pond. #Rigamortis.”
When one of her millions of followers asked her, “Are all of your fans gonna jump on him now?” Gag rifled back a prompt answer.
“I hope so,” Gaga tweeted. “he and his lyrics are the shit.”
Rap fans already knew the latter, but given Gaga’s worldwide reach, a lot more fans know about K. Dot’s lyrical prowess now too.
It’s quite the co-sign leading up to Kendrick’s October 2 release of his highly-anticipated album, good kid, m.A.A.d city.

This can’t end well. The Game decided to record and post an assault of 40 Glocc on the internet and well, it says a lot.
