Chris Brown looks set to score his highest-charting UK album to date on Sunday.
According to today’s Official Chart Update, the US singer’s fifth full-length release, Fortune, is on course to knock Linkin Park’s Living Things off the top of the Official Albums Chart.
Fortune, which features the Official Number 1 smash Turn Up The Music and its Number 3 follow-up single, Don’t Wake Me Up, has nearly sold twice as many copies as its closest competitor - Maroon 5’s Overexposed (Number 2) - so far this week. Brown’s previous highest charting albums, 2007’s Exclusive and 2011’s F.A.M.E, reached Number 3 and 10, respectively.
Linkin Park’s Living Things slides two places to Number 3, while Scottish singer/songwriter Emeli Sande’s Our Version Of Events, which is the second biggest selling album of 2012 so far, is at Number 4. Ed Sheeran’s + completes this week’s Official Update Top 5.
