The beautiful socialite, fashion plate and style blogger wed German model Huebl on Saturday, sources exclusively confirmed to Page Six.
We’re told the attractive couple had planned to wed in the fall in St. Barts — where he proposed this past New Year’s Eve — but brought the date forward because Huebl had been experiencing visa issues which might have forced him to leave the US sooner.
A source told us, “They were planning a big wedding in the fall, but Johannes left Wilhelmina Models last year, and he currently isn’t with an agency, and was told he would have to leave the US in September.
“Olivia’s friends were surprised when they got married at City Hall on Saturday, with the only guests being his friend Ulli Saeuberlich and her parents, who weren’t happy with the rush, but decided to be there at the last minute.”
Despite sources revealing that they exchanged vows on Saturday, Palermo’s spokeswoman Barbara Saint-Aime insisted last night that the couple were not yet married. She said, “They had always planned to have a small civil wedding in June. The whole visa thing is not relevant. They have been together for six-and-a-half years, they got engaged this past January. They travel so much during the summer, they really don’t have much time to plan things. They are not married yet. They are doing a much smaller civil ceremony in the States this month and they are planning to do something much larger later on.”
Palermo, who grew up in Greenwich, Conn., shot to fame in 2008 on MTV reality show “The City.” She appeared on the June cover of Brides magazine in a Marchesa gown, and said of their wedding plans, “Johannes’ friends and family are all over Europe and my parents are happy to travel, so it will probably be somewhere in the middle. Then you will always have a special place in your heart for the destination where you got married.”
