Individuals with knowledge of the situation told TheWrap that Cynthia Bailey, Kandi Burruss, NeNe Leakes, Phaedra Parks, Porsha Stewart and Kenya Moore are all in the final stages of contract negotiations.
Bravo didn't immediately respond to our request for comment. The network is expected to make the official cast announcement after the cast's contracts are closed.
This would be considered a good thing for Bravo, since Season 6 of “RHOA” was the highest rated season across all Bravo's key demos, including an average 2 million viewers in the advertiser-coveted Adults 18-49 demo. It averaged 3.5 million viewers per episode.
There was some speculation that a cast shakeup was inevitable following a rambunctious reunion taping in which Stewart attacked Moore.
There was the twist of Leakes and Bailey ending their longtime friendship. Leakes, the longest-standing castmember of RHOA, went so far as to suggest that Bailey added nothing to the show and should be fired.
RHOA is the most-watched series of the Real Housewives franchise and has spawned four spinoff series.
Despite the fact that his time as a free man is slipping away like sands in an hourglass, Joe Giudice still doesn't appear to be changing his ways. We first heard that The Real Housewives of New Jersey star, who's set to go back to court on July 8 to learn his fate, has been spending a significant amount of time drinking and generally being a hot mess, and now new reports have come in, claiming that Joe is barely spending any time with Teresa Giudice and his girls. Apparently, Juicy Joe's priorities right now are "doing his own thing, and doing stuff with the guys." And understandably, Teresa is furious.
According to a source, "Teresa feels like Joe should be spending every minute that he can with her and their four girls, and wants to know why he’s ignoring them." Joe may only have a matter of a few weeks left to spend with his family, and from the sounds of things, he's been MIA. Although she's certainly in the wrong for their money troubles, as well, it's hard not to feel bad for Teresa for having to deal with this on top of the couple's legal woes.
Shouldn't both of them want to spend as much time as possible with each other, and with their kids, right now? What an awful way for Teresa to spend the potential last moments with her husband: Pissed, annoyed, and confused.
This, of course, doesn't come as a complete shock, being that Joe is, well, Joe.
In Monday night’s all-new episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County, Heather Dubrow may have pulled the oldest trick in the book and allegedly answered a fake phone call to get out of a tough conversation. Fellow co-star Vicki Gunvalson was confident she knew what Heather was up to. “Heather, next time you answer a fake phone call, you’d better make sure that the screen lights up, because nobody was on the other line,” Vicki said, rolling her eyes.
The call was supposedly from Heather’s son, Nicky. Immediately upon answering the phone, Heather asked, “Are you okay? How’s your stomach? What are you feeling?” Heather then passed the phone to her husband, Terry, who began to ask Nicky about his symptoms. The pair began to ask the other Housewives for the time, and made a hasty exit.
Despite Vicki’s accusations, Terry has sworn the call was legit. “Really,” Terry told RumorFix. “If you rewind the tape, you see the phone lights up — look at it.” That’s true, but it could just be Heather turning the phone on! “If we were going to tell a white lie — it would not be about our kid being ill. It’s bad karma,” Terry added. “And if you know us — you know that if we wanted to go, we would go!”
On Friday, June 13, the day they filmed the reunion show, several of the housewives posted photos of them getting ready for the big event, before the makeup and hair stylists did their work.
New housewife Kristen Taekman posted a photo of herself sitting in her hotel room's chair while still in her bathrobe, pajamas and slippers early on in the morning.
Instead of dreading reunion day, especially since it fell on Friday the 13th, Kristen seemed to hope for the best, wishing her fans a happy day and declaring it "the lucky13th."
Her enemy, Ramona, also posted a makeup-free pic. Her photo shows her with co-stars Heather Thomson and Carole Radziwill in a hotel room.
Like Kristen, they're still in their pajamas and bathrobes. Both Heather and Carole have their hair clipped back, ready for their glam squads to work their magic.
Ramona also posted a photo of herself with Sonja Morgan, the women she's closet to on the show.
The close-up photo shows what the women really look like naturally, although it seems that Sonja already has a bit of mascara and lip gloss on.
Some of the housewives also gave their reactions to filming the reunion via their social media accounts. Sonja said that it was "exhausting," Kristen said that it was the "longest day ever" and that she's "so happy it's over," and Aviva Drescher joked during the lunch break that Carole is to blame if she doesn't come out alive.
Even reunion host Andy Cohen gave his thoughts on the reunion via his Twitter account. He tweeted that he loved the reunion, which was full of "drama, tears and absurd conversations." While Andy loved the reunion, it's not likely that the women of The Real Housewives of New York City loved it as much!
