The continued Yelp and Facebook drama surrounding Amy’s Baking Company has kept Kitchen Nightmares fans satisfied as they wait for the return of Gordon Ramsay. Unfortunately, it looks like viewers will be kept waiting for at least another week or two. Despite an earlier FOX announcement claiming that Kitchen Nightmares would return on February 28th, viewers have noted that the episode has disappeared from local TV listings.
This is not the only switch-up involving Samy and Amy Bouzaglo. The two were supposed to join Dr. Phil for a candid chat this afternoon, but this has also been postponed. Instead, an episode entitled “A Lying, Cheating, Violent Husband or a Wife’s False Accusations?” is set to take the place of our favorite crazy restaurateurs.
Although a rep for Kitchen Nightmares told Biz Journals that a scheduling change was to blame, disappointed viewers remain unconvinced. Some wonder if rumors of Samy’s impending deportation could be coming into play, with FOX possibly choosing to put the show on the back burner until the current legal drama is cleared up.Samy and Amy Bouzaglo have yet to address these developments on Twitter. Instead, they’re focused on sharing admittedly beautiful cake photos. The dynamic duo still boasts a huge following of avowed haters, but they’ve replaced their infamous all caps rants with nearly civil responses — including the following gem: “You are evil and not welcome here.” Although she failed to speak up via social media, Amy did email the AZ Central News an update. “Unfortunately right now we really can not say anything. But we can say that they have begun to realize that they have underestimated my husband and I, and our unwillingness to allow them to exploit us is becoming very clear.”
