The best Doctor Christopher Eccleston is starring in new show Fortitude in which he plays a scientist working at the Fortitude Arctic Research Centre. The show also features Michael Gambon, Sofie Grabol and Stanley Tucci. It is described as being a "nordic noir" show, and is about a "mysterious death."

Eccleston on returning to Iceland for filming:
"I did Thor Two, whatever it was called... Dark Underpants or something, but I had a much better time on Fortitude. I much preferred the locations that we shot in, I had a much better script and I wasn't in prosthetic make-up for eight hours every day."

On his role as Trevor Hicks in the film Hillsborough about the stadium disaster:
"When I decided to be an actor, I wanted to be of some use. Hillsborough [the film] was certainly a very small tool in pushing for the inquiry, and hopefully the families will get justice."

On watching his own work:
"I don't like watching myself back. What happens is, you're watching something, and you think, 'This is great, but who's that idiot?' And it's you."

Fortitude premieres 29th January on Sky Atlantic.

Add this to our ever-growing list of reasons to love Jennifer Lawrence: She can shamelessly fan-girl like the best of us.

Exhibit A: J. Law recently ran into Kim Kardashian in New York, Kim told The Sun. "We said, 'Hi', and walked into the elevator and as the doors were closing, she screamed across the lobby, 'I love your show!'. We were laughing so hard," Kim said.

Exhibit B: This isn't the first time she's proclaimed her Kardashian-love. "When I'm out, I think about my couch," she told Marie Claire South Africa in 2012. "Am I missing a new episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians? I'm just stressed by the idea of missing them."

• “I learned when my mother died five years ago (of septic shock at 68) that there is no ‘there’ there,” Moore, whose real name is Julie Smith, told The Hollywood Reporter.


• “Structure, it’s all imposed. We impose order and narrative on everything in order to understand it. Otherwise, there’s nothing but chaos,” added the Golden Globe and SAG winner.


• Moore, 54, who is nominated for an Oscar for “Still Alice,” and has three films coming out in 2015, believes in the idea that one is in control of their destiny.

Kanye West Creative Team, West's agency, announced this week that it will establish a joint venture in South Korea by the end of the month.

The venture, to be called 10 Jones; will focus on three areas: seeking new pop talent in Asia, serving as an agency for existing singers and launching a fashion brand. The joint-stock company will be headed up by Grammy award-winning producer Malik Yusef Jones; it marks West's first project of this kind in Asia.

While K-pop moguls like Yang Hyun-suk of YG Entertainment and Park Jin-young of JYP Entertainment have long tried to crack the U.S. market with their stable of local pop stars, it's rare for American entertainment agencies to set up operations in South Korea.

The Kanye West team will search for ways to bring Korea's pop talent overseas, either through joint projects with established K-pop stars or by nurturing new ones, it said in a statement.

In the meantime, the venture will serve as an Asia-based agency for stars like Drake and Iggy Azalea. According to The Korea Times, 10-Jones has not announced its Korean investors or any specific details of the project.
