Excerpt from interview:Speaking of friendships, you wanted to respond to the backlash you received after Ariana Grande's interview in Seventeen a few years ago. I did. In the article, Ariana was talking about how this person she had worked with was never going to like her and that this person had bullied her. She didn't name anyone. And she texted me right before the article was going to come out and was like, "I just want you to know that had nothing to do with you." Then she posted something on Twitter and Tumblr saying that she was actually talking about an experience on Broadway. Even though Ariana said it wasn’t true, our fans still believed that I bullied her, and that really bothered me. I’m super anti-bullying, and I’ve never bullied anyone in my life. I want people to know that.
Have you two moved past all the drama since? We’re not enemies. I mean, I wouldn’t call her up to have a sleepover, but at the end of the day, I wish her well. She’s doing great with her music, and she’s very talented. We’re just on our separate paths, doing our own things."
