The BBC has reported that Doctor Who's Series 8 finale, featuring ONTD's hot Scot daddy, will have an extended runtime of 60 minutes because Moffat needs a little more time to disappoint you this year.
Moffat wrote both parts of the finale and while details of the two-parter are still wrapped in relative mystery, this expert believes there's a strong chance that Clara will either be sidelined, erased from time or reduced to an object fought over by her boyfriend and Doctor Dad. Also the Cybermen are back to prove once and for all that they are the worst Who villain.
The official synopsis from the BBC reads:
"With Cybermen on the streets of London, old friends unite against old enemies and the Doctor takes to the air in a startling new role. Can the mighty UNIT contain Missy? As the Doctor faces his greatest challenge, sacrifices must be made before the day is won."
There are rumors brewing that this will be elf-nosed Disney Princess, Jenna-Louise Coleman's, final trip on the TARDIS. If it is, it marks 25 episodes of knowing nothing about her character apart from the fact that a leaf once flew in her dad's face and that she loves short skirts. Coleman will forever be remembered to Whovians as the actress who somehow managed to make a completely 2-dimensional character charming and fun, against all odds.
Part one of the finale, Dark Water, airs this Saturday. The extra-long part 2, Death in Heaven, will cap things off on November 8th.
