Peter Reckell: “Not Promising Anything. There's Some Progress!” Is He Returning To DAYS?Former Days of our Lives fan favorite Peter Reckell (Bo) left the series a few years back, and since that time has not made a return.
Diehard Bo and Reckell fans have hoped and wished to see him again on the their screens.
Meanwhile, his DAYS on-screen love interest Kristian Alfonso (Hope) has moved into a new romance with Daniel Cosgrove’s Aiden, and things are continuing to heat up for the couple as the show tells the dissolution of the marriage of Hope and Bo, with Bo being off-screen.
Today, Peter Reckell posted a tweet to his followers on Twitter that read: “Thks 4 the love u guys! I very much appreciate your comments & keeping me up 2 date. Not promising anything but, there maybe some progress!”
So what could he be referring to? Is a short term stint in the works for Reckell to come back and close out the story?
Would he even consider returning at this juncture in his life? Or, could he not be referring to DAYS at all in his tweet, but some other project?
POP's Queens of Drama Docu-Series Coming 2015!POP, a new network which announced its rebranding last month from TVGN as a place to celebrate the fun of being a fan, will premiere more than 400 hours of fan-fueled original programming next year, including Queens of Drama, from the producers of Hatfields & McCoys and Gene Simmons Family Jewels.
Queens of Drama is a docu-series following a group of former daytime and primetime soap stars as they attempt to produce a new primetime serial drama to star in. The cast will need to work in front of and behind the cameras as they develop, pitch, and produce this new steamy series hoping to land a pilot deal by the end of the season.
The all-star cast is made up of Lindsay Hartley (All My Children, Days Of Our Lives), Crystal Hunt (Guiding Light, One Life To Live) Vanessa Marcil (Beverly Hills, 90210, General Hospital), Chrystee Pharris (Passions, General Hospital) and Hunter Tylo (The Bold and The Beautiful), together with Donna Mills (Knots Landing, Melrose Place), who will make special appearances on the program.
Launching in early 2015, POP will provide viewers with a multi-platform destination that creates content around the things popping in fan culture.
Y&R ADDING NEW CHARACTER!Y&R is on the lookout for a
“charactery” actor to play Tobias, described as a lab technician in his mid 20s to early 30s. The character will be quirky but
“have a cold, calculating energy about him.”The role is non-contract but still considered to be a major one. The role begins taping on October 24.
Y&R’s Sharon Case Weighs-In On If SHADAM’s Story Should Continue! It was not a good week for Sharon Newman! She finally made it to the altar to marry the man of her dreams, (the love of her life Nick Newman) only to have it bust up thanks to the return of Phyllis (Gina Tognoni)!
And the secret that could shatter the lives of so many people still looms! Is Sharon finally going to remember all and fess up to Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Jack (Peter Bergman) about the true bio-dad of Summer (Hunter King)?
While all of that is playing out on air, Sharon Case (Sharon) took time out to chat with Soap Opera Uncensored on her 20th anniversary with the number one soap to discuss Sharon’s perils, future, and more!
Since fans know that Justin Hartley has just started taping episodes as the new Adam Newman (he replaces Michael Muhney), what does Case think that could mean for the popular pairing of Shadam?
When asked by SOU if she thinks Shadam’s story is dead (something that SOU also made clear they would like to see continue), the Daytime Emmy winner replied:
“I hope not, too! Even with the wonderful Shick reunion and arc, and our 20th anniversary, I don’t think it’s over for Shadam. They had a huge fan following. They instantly became a super couple. I thought it was a mistake to break them up from the start. Not that I didn’t think they should ever break up, but it was premature.”Bid To Win A Walk-On Role On General Hospital!Once again, Disney/ABC Television Group and General Hospital are showing their support of the very important educational organization GLSEN (Gay, Lesbian, Straight Education Network) by placing a very special item up for bids in GLSEN’s Respect Awards Auction!

Lacey Chabert Explores The Single Life!In real life, Lacey Chabert, who began her career playing a young Bianca on ALL MY CHILDREN, is a happy newlywed. However, in her upcoming film, Christian Mingle, she'll play a career woman taking on the challenge of finding an honest relationship.
"It's about a girl who's unlucky in love and decides to go online and try [dating Web site] Christian Mingle, even though she's not a Christian," Chabert reveals.
"I've never done it personally, but I think it's a great way for people to meet. We do everything else on-line, why wouldn't we want to meet someone?"But as Chabert's character negotiates the bizarre and sometimes challenging world of on-line dating, she winds up with a lot more than expected.
"She finds both a great guy [played by Jonathan Patrick Moore] and a relationship with God," Chabert previews.
"I think it's sweet, and I'm really proud of the message of the movie."Making the film as she herself was prepping to get married last year was a whirlwind experience for Chabert; however, the opportunity to work with the film's director, Corbin Bernsen (ex-Father Todd, THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS; ex-Durant, GENERAL HOSPITAL), made it worth the effort.
"Corbin is a blast. He's funny, crazy, smart... He has such a vision, and he doesn't give up until he gets it," Chabert enthuses.
"He's a wonderful collaborator."Christian Mingle, which also features soap opera veteran Morgan Fairchild (DALLAS, THE CITY) premieres Friday, October 10, with a special limited engagement in theaters.

It's Just Sex For One Of Sonny's Old Flames!GENERAL HOSPITAL fans will remember Dahlia Salem as Claire, the federal prosecutor who first tried to send Sonny to jail for murder only to end up (surprise, surprise!) falling for the mobster. But now, Los Angeles-area fans can see the actress dealing with some very different relationship issues in the play It's Just Sex.
"The play is a comedy, which is always good and fun," Salem tells Soaps In Depth.
"It's about six friends — all couples — who get together and something goes very askew on the night they meet up." There's no special occasion that draws the pals together.
"They just haven't seen each other in a long time. They've been busy with kids and work and they all let loose when they get together while having some drinks and getting a bite."Salem's character and her husband appear to be a content enough pair — but are they? "We do sound like a happy couple," the actress laughs.
"Lisa definitely wears the pants in their relationship, which is fun to play."Treading the boards again has been adventurous to say the least!
"I haven't been on stage in 15 years," Salem says.
"I'm really returning to my roots. Theater is where I got my training and where it all started for me. It's exhilarating and you have to be on your toes and be in the moment."It's Just Sex is set to run at The Secret Rose Theatre in North Hollywood through Sunday, November 2.

John Wesley Shipp Previews THE FLASH!Tonight is going to be déjà vu all over again for John Wesley Shipp (Kelly, GUIDING LIGHT; Douglas, AS THE WORLD TURNS) when THE FLASH debuts on The CW at 8:00 p.m. EST. The two-time Emmy winner, who played the title role in the primetime series about the DC Comics character that ran (get it? "ran?") from 1990-91 on CBS, is appearing in the new series, but in a slightly different role.
Are there many similarities between soap opera fans and devotees of the superhero world?
"That's a very interesting question," Shipp tells Soaps In Depth.
"It's one I haven't been asked before so bravo! They are similar and, at times, an overlapping audience."Shipp says that the series title character (aka Barry Allen), played by Grant Gustin, is an actor to watch.
"He can do comedy, play a genius when Barry is analyzing a crime scene and then turn around and break your heart. He's got it all."In this version of THE FLASH, Shipp is playing Barry's dad, Henry, who's been wrongly incarcerated for killing his wife. Watch for Shipp to recur throughout the season as Barry fights to clear his dad's name.
"I've had scenes with Jesse L. Martin (Det. Joe West) whose character has drilled into Henry's son's head that his father was a killer. What will he do when he finds out that he was wrong?"ATWT Star Books Plum Primetime Part!AS THE WORLD TURNS' fan favorite Michael Park (Jack) has landed a three-episode arc on NBC's CHICAGO P.D. Speaking to Soaps In Depth directly from the Windy City where the series is produced, Park shares the details about his exciting new role, which begins airing Wednesday, October 15, at 10 p.m.
"Asher is a diamond dealer who hires Antonio Dawson, John Seda's character, to work private security for him," Park reveals.
"He's a bit of a rough guy -- he's rough on his wife -- and Dawson is not used to taking orders from someone of my background, so there will be some tension there between the two of them for sure."While Park did not get to work with fellow ATWT alum Jesse Lee Soffer (Will), who plays brash detective Jay Halstead on the drama, they did discover that they share yet another connection.
"India de Beaufort (ONE TREE HILL) plays my wife in this, and she's wonderful," Park reveals.
"She and Jesse know each other very well, so India and I got to know each other through that one degree of separation."In other great news, Park has begun rehearsals for NBC's upcoming production of Peter Pan Live as Cecco, a pirate who will be a member of Captain Hook's (played by Christopher Walken) crew. The beloved musical is scheduled to air Thursday, December 4, at 8 p.m. EST.
