Cara Gee talks about 'Strange Empire' the feminist Western we never knew we wanted

$

Q: You play Kat Loving, a Métis woman struggling to survive in a frontier town. She's a badass female native hero...

A: I know!

Q: What's it like for you inhabiting that character?

A: It's the dream role of a lifetime. She's very strong, much stronger than me. I find her strength really inspiring. If I had to face the things she faces throughout this series, I would be curled up in a ball in the corner (laughes). She faces everything head-on.

Not without fear, but a lot of bravery and courage. She's fighting for justice the whole time, then that fight consumes her. It's brutal what she has to go through.

Q: She's a gunslinger. What was that like?

A: It was WAY too fun. I'm not big on guns in real life. But, oh my goodness, for pretend? It's a powerful feeling.

Q: Westerns are a genre plagued by a lot of stereotypical portrayals of Indigenous people. Does that baggage make it a challenge for you?

A: I've been asked quite a few times, "You're in a Western, isn't that cool, have you always wanted to be in a Western?'"

My answer is "No!" It’s not a genre I've ever gravitated toward because of those stereotypes. So, to be able to subvert the genre, and tell a side of the story that isn't told — that has been actively written over — is a huge responsibility. The genre is often nostalgic, and this isn't. This isn't an idyllic West full of the possibility of conquering. It's actually the other side of that, which we don't like to look at because it’s not pretty.

'American Horror Story’ Has Strong Return, Stephen King Approval

American Horror Story returned for its fourth season, Freak Show, and with it came the highest ratings for the series so far, as well as approval from acclaimed author Stephen King.

According to a report from Deadline, the premiere of American Horror Story: Freak Show drew in 6.127 million viewers and a 3.1 rating in the 18-49 demographic. That’s a 10 percent jump from last season’s Coven, which brought in 5.54 million during its premiere episode.

FX won’t release official numbers for the American Horror Story premiere until three days after its initial airing. The Coven premiere jumped to 7.27 million viewers three days after the live airing and 7.77 million after seven days.

Variety reports that each season of American Horror Story has seen a jump in viewers each year. The first season, Murder House, premiered with 3.18 million viewers and a 1.59 rating, while Asylum debuted with 3.85 million viewers and a 2.20 rating.

Last season’s Coven finale was the strongest for American Horror Story so far with 4.2 million viewers. The Live + 7 numbers had the ratings rise to more than 7.2 million overall viewers.

Freak Show also got the approval by acclaimed horror author Stephen King. King posted on his Twitter account that one other person might have enjoyed it, if he were still alive today.

As previously reported by The Inquisitr, Freak Show is supposed to be the final season for actress Jessica Lange. However, American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy said that may change.

“This is her favorite season, without question. I really want her to keep her hand in [future seasons]… Does that mean 13 episodes? Does that mean six? Does that mean one? She and I are probably going to have a dinner date when the holidays come.”

Murphy added that Lange might stick around if there is a character that she would like to play.

“It always starts with a character for Jessica, so I think I’d have to present her with something she was very interested in. Before, I was met with a really quick ‘No.’ Now, I’m hearing, ‘Well, let’s keep talking.’ So I thought that was a very good sign. “I think if I presented her with the right character, and it could work with her schedule, she might be interested. That’s my hope.”

American Horror Story: Freak Show airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. on FX.

Fall 2014 TV Power Rankings

$
0
0

TV has become a year-round affair that’s nearly impossible to keep track of, with most of the best and our favorite shows airing anywhere but fall (Game of Thrones, Hannibal, Orphan Black, True Detective, Parks and Recreation). Aside from The Walking Dead, is there a must-watch show premiering this fall? Probably not, but I watched nearly EVERY new scripted TV show of the fall to find out for sure. What follows is the evidence that I survived the masochistic task: my unwieldy power rankings of the Fall 2014 TV season.

31. Forever (ABC)

Ioan Gruffudd might be the most boring actor on the planet, yet he keeps landing TV roles, his career seemingly as immortal as his title character in this dull show.

At one point during this derivative pilot, Henry (Gruffudd) explains to us in a droll monologue: “My life is just like yours, except for one small difference…it never ends.”

I live forever, no biggie guys. I’m just like you. You can empathize me, relate to my suffering. WHAT THE FUCK?! If an immortal prick tried to befriend me, the injustice would be that I couldn’t friggin’ kill him. My life is just likes yours, except I’m Brad Pitt. My life is just like yours, except I own an island. My life is just like yours, except I’m the orphan of a now extinct alien race.

Henry has “seen a lot,” but hasn’t learn shit about life or his condition over the last 200 years of his life. He just knows that when he dies, he wakes up in the nearest body of water naked, not a scratch on him. He’s Ichabod Crane/Sherlock Holmes without the charm or quirks. He’s understandably obsessed with death, so he works at a morgue along with Joel David Moore (Bones, Avatar), who has been neurotic and awkward as long as this show’s title (For-Ev-Er).

30. Manhattan Love Story (ABC)

“I want to write a love story set in Manhattan.”

“Oh my god, what a revolutionary idea, and even better, it already has a ready-made, totally informative, awesome title!”

“Love Story Set In Manhattan? Sounds awkward.”

“Manhattan Love Story, silly.”

“OMG, you’re right.”

A studio exec leans over the coffee table, spilling their mimosa. “Excuse me, did you say Manhattan Love Story? We’ll BUY IT!”

Manhattan Love Story sounds like a vague place holder title a writer would have on his To-Do list, or the bare bones plot description of this mostly dreadful pilot. But, I suppose it tells you all you need to know: not to watch it.

In the nightmarish opening moments, Peter (Jake McDorman) walks down the New York street, debating whether or not he’d have sex with the women along his path. Coming from the opposite direction is Dana (Analeigh Tipton), who’s doing the same thing…with purses (she’s debating whether she’d own them, not fuck them, I think). When they pass one another, they both essentially say “Yes” to each other, and this is their unfortunate story.

25. Red Band Society (FOX)

Because Fault of Our Stars was a YA sensation, the clear message to advertisers is this: young people love to watch young people die (I guess this is more or less true considering The Hunger Games and the string of dystopian successes). But Red Band Society uses this as a shortcut to feels and tragedy, rather than earning an audience’s emotional investment.

In a hospital that has a rooftop perfect for parties, a wealthy hypochondriac recluse who lives in one of the wings and gives dope to kids (An American Werewolf in London‘s Griffin Dunne, actually giving the show a breath of funky fresh air) and attractive doctors, lives a group of kids of various socioeconomic backgrounds, ages, and diseases. They are the Red Band Society.

23. Stalker (CBS)

Kevin Williamson has forever cemented his place in my heart with Dawson’s Creek, but Stalker continues a disturbing trend of horror-shock entertainment, akin to The Following.

We open with a hooded stalker with creepy slits in his mask burning a woman alive in her car. This case is forwarded to LA’s Threat Assessment Unit, where Beth Davis (Maggie Q) and her team excel in tackling stalker cases. How To Make It In America‘s Victor Rasuk and True Blood‘s Mariana Klaveno are detectives with the thankless duty of holding case files and introducing them, while murmuring about how capable Beth is to the new guy Jack Larsen (Dylan McDermott), who’s hired to make sure the other detectives never have to leave the office. Jack was transferred from NY to LA because he slept with his boss’ wife, he has a big personality, and basically for being everything you personify in a Dylan McDermott character. Meaning: you hate him, just like Beth does when she first meets the lout; it’s slightly clever of Stalker to play with McDermott’s inherent hate-ability even if I question their methods. He’s a smart ass who makes inappropriate jokes (he transferred to LA to meet Scarlett Johansson, presumably a stalking victim) and admits to checking out Beth’s breasts; what’s not to love? Oh, he’s also tailing a blonde woman (Angel‘s Elisabeth Rohm) with a family, potentially a devious stalker himself.

Stalker is slick (because misogyny is cool, yo), mostly well-made, but do you really want to spend an hour watching men and women getting attacked? That’s just not the type of escapist entertainment I’m drawn to, and this show doesn’t posit itself as anything more than that.

'Saturday Night Live' women are mad about 'Weekend Update' going all-male

webconflead10f-1-web

Cecily Strong's replacement in the famed 'SNL' segment by Michael Che has ticked off Sasheer Zamata and others.

The latest shakeup on the Weekend Update desk is creating bad blood on the set of “Saturday Night Live.”

Confidenti@l is told female cast members are fuming that when Cecily Strong got the boot from the segment, she was replaced by a man — meaning there are no women on the show’s flagship sketch.

A spy overheard recent recruit Sasheer Zamata telling a pal she and some of the other players are outraged that the show’s longest-running segment is now all-male.

“She was saying that it’s bull---- that in 2014 there would be two males and no women in such a prominent position on the show,” said our eavesdropper. “She said that there should be at least one man and one woman or, if anything, two women.”

“She was incredulous about it,” the source said of Zamata, who joined the show in January. “It’s obviously something that she feels very passionately about. She said they think it’s unfair.”

Strong took her seat next to long-running Weekend Update host Seth Meyers in September 2013, and she stayed put when Meyers left for “Late Night” and was replaced by Colin Jost. She was dropped from the role over the summer break, and Michael Che took her place when the season began last month.

Baby Daddy Bombshell! O.J. Simpson Slept With Kris Jenner, Transsexual Lover Claims

$

oj-simpson-transsexual-lover-khloe-kardashian-kris-jenner-pp-sl

Is he or isn’t he? Allegations that O.J. Simpson is Khloe Kardashian’s real father have swirled for years, but RadarOnline.com has learned that mom Kris Jenner is about to be rocked with the most explosive allegation yet: According to a woman who claims to be Simpson’s transsexual prison lover, Jenner and Simpson did sleep together, and Simpson believed that he — and not Kardashian’s legal father Robert — could be Kardashian’s biological dad! Only Radar has the bombshell video of the woman making the new claims.

As Radar has reported, HIV-positive former prostitute Jazmena Jameson told The National ENQUIRER that she had several sexual romps with the disgraced NFL star while the two were incarcerated at Nevada’s Lovelock Correctional Center. In between the flirtation and alleged oral sex, the transsexual says in a shocking new video, Simpson made a jaw-dropping confession.

“I remember just as clear as yesterday, he would laugh about [the rumors he was Khloe’s dad],” Jameson said. “And yes he said he slept with the woman [Kris Jenner], the mom and stuff … and she knows it.”

“I think that he thinks that [Khloe] could be his baby,” Jameson continued. “That’s just what I sense.”

“But he probably doesn’t want to do no test,” Jameson explained.

Rumors of Khloe’s real father first surfaced with a vengeance last fall, when Simpson’s former manager Norm Pardo said in an interview that the truth “is going to come out sooner or later.”

For her part, Jenner has previously insisted the claims were “an absolute lie and not true.”

“I have never had an affair with O.J. Simpson,” she said when the rumors first surfaced.

Filming in San Francisco for the second season of Looking — the HBO drama centering around three gay men — is in full swing. With a cast and crew that's hooked on Instagram, it's easy to keep up with the goings-on of Jonathan Groff, Andrew Haigh, Raul Castillo, Michael Lannan, Murray Bartlett, Russell Tovey, Frankie J. Alvarez, and Lauren Weedman (and a few hairy new players, including Mean Girls' Daniel Franzese).

It's hard to glean much about the plot points in season 2 from the pics, but we know one thing: the gay love triangle between Jonathan Groff's character, his boss, and his boyfriend isn't going anywhere. Take a peek below:

And finally....

Chris Brown's tattoo artist shot dead in broad daylight

A disrespectful remark caused the fist fight that led to the fatal shooting of famed LA tattoo artist Trigz in Los Angeles, claims the manager of the store where the lethal brawl broke out.

According to the manager, Trigz, whose real name is Michael Christopher Pebley, was minding his own business in the Black Derby Smoke Shop on Thursday afternoon when an apparent stranger upset him with a pointed remark leaving the store.

Pebley, who was sitting talking to the store owner, was angered and approached the man, "getting in his face," which sparked a 30-second fight inside, which eventually spilled onto the sidewalk and ended with Pebley being fatally shot outside the neighboring Tattoo & Body Piercing parlor.

"The suspect was already shopping inside when Pebley walked in and sat down to talk to the owner," said manager James Mayen, who has also watched the security footage of the fight from Thursday. "The suspect is making his way out of the store when he turns to Pebley and says something, which makes Pebley leave his chair and walk straight over to him.

"He gets in his face and the two begin arguing, which quickly descends into a huge fight inside, which then spills outside."

The 40-year-old father leaves behind a fiancée and five children.

BadGalAri: The Queen to Big Sean's King? Rapper Gifts Singer With Matching Lion Chain

big-sean-ariana-grande-necklace-600x450

They can play coy for as long as they want, but there's no denying Ariana Grande and Big Sean are an item... Especially now that they're buying each other jewelry!
Just a few days after the duo was spotted kissing at Universal Studios in Hollywood, we found they've also been sporting matching necklaces.

Big Sean has been rocking a lion pendant on a gold chain since he hit it big in the industry, and it seems he made things official with Grande by giving her a mini version of her own!

10725178_806239679436953_860026063_n

The songstress took to Instagram earlier this week to share a selfie, and you can clearly see the gold necklace. A source tells E! News that the gift represents her "special connection" with her rapper beau.

"Big Sean and Ariana Grande have been spending a lot of time together over the past few months," the source explains. "He got her that necklace because he felt that it represents a special meaning between both of them. Ariana would always compliment him on his necklace and when he got it for her it was his special gift. She loved it!"

Big Sean's lion chain has been a staple piece to his wardrobe--In fact, it was the first real chain he bought himself. In 2012, he told GQ, "The lion is just king of everything, man. The lion doesn't take any shit from anybody. It's well-respected, cares about his family...know what I'm saying? It just really represents me perfectly, man... It's very strong, everything I want to be—everything I am, rather."

So, if I'm reading between the lines here, it seems the rapper is showing the world Ariana is a part of his family... His lioness, his queen!

Meanwhile, both artists have maintained a low-key profile when it comes to their "situation," not giving anyone a hard yes or no about whether or not they're a couple.

Peter Reckell: “Not Promising Anything. There's Some Progress!” Is He Returning To DAYS?

Former Days of our Lives fan favorite Peter Reckell (Bo) left the series a few years back, and since that time has not made a return.

Diehard Bo and Reckell fans have hoped and wished to see him again on the their screens.

Meanwhile, his DAYS on-screen love interest Kristian Alfonso (Hope) has moved into a new romance with Daniel Cosgrove’s Aiden, and things are continuing to heat up for the couple as the show tells the dissolution of the marriage of Hope and Bo, with Bo being off-screen.

Today, Peter Reckell posted a tweet to his followers on Twitter that read: “Thks 4 the love u guys! I very much appreciate your comments & keeping me up 2 date. Not promising anything but, there maybe some progress!”

So what could he be referring to? Is a short term stint in the works for Reckell to come back and close out the story?

Would he even consider returning at this juncture in his life? Or, could he not be referring to DAYS at all in his tweet, but some other project?

POP's Queens of Drama Docu-Series Coming 2015!

POP, a new network which announced its rebranding last month from TVGN as a place to celebrate the fun of being a fan, will premiere more than 400 hours of fan-fueled original programming next year, including Queens of Drama, from the producers of Hatfields & McCoys and Gene Simmons Family Jewels.

Queens of Drama is a docu-series following a group of former daytime and primetime soap stars as they attempt to produce a new primetime serial drama to star in. The cast will need to work in front of and behind the cameras as they develop, pitch, and produce this new steamy series hoping to land a pilot deal by the end of the season.

The all-star cast is made up of Lindsay Hartley (All My Children, Days Of Our Lives), Crystal Hunt (Guiding Light, One Life To Live) Vanessa Marcil (Beverly Hills, 90210, General Hospital), Chrystee Pharris (Passions, General Hospital) and Hunter Tylo (The Bold and The Beautiful), together with Donna Mills (Knots Landing, Melrose Place), who will make special appearances on the program.

Launching in early 2015, POP will provide viewers with a multi-platform destination that creates content around the things popping in fan culture.

Y&R ADDING NEW CHARACTER!

Y&R is on the lookout for a “charactery” actor to play Tobias, described as a lab technician in his mid 20s to early 30s. The character will be quirky but “have a cold, calculating energy about him.”

The role is non-contract but still considered to be a major one. The role begins taping on October 24.

Y&R’s Sharon Case Weighs-In On If SHADAM’s Story Should Continue!

It was not a good week for Sharon Newman! She finally made it to the altar to marry the man of her dreams, (the love of her life Nick Newman) only to have it bust up thanks to the return of Phyllis (Gina Tognoni)!

And the secret that could shatter the lives of so many people still looms! Is Sharon finally going to remember all and fess up to Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Jack (Peter Bergman) about the true bio-dad of Summer (Hunter King)?

While all of that is playing out on air, Sharon Case (Sharon) took time out to chat with Soap Opera Uncensored on her 20th anniversary with the number one soap to discuss Sharon’s perils, future, and more!

Since fans know that Justin Hartley has just started taping episodes as the new Adam Newman (he replaces Michael Muhney), what does Case think that could mean for the popular pairing of Shadam?

When asked by SOU if she thinks Shadam’s story is dead (something that SOU also made clear they would like to see continue), the Daytime Emmy winner replied: “I hope not, too! Even with the wonderful Shick reunion and arc, and our 20th anniversary, I don’t think it’s over for Shadam. They had a huge fan following. They instantly became a super couple. I thought it was a mistake to break them up from the start. Not that I didn’t think they should ever break up, but it was premature.”

As the family’s epic Christmas celebration is about to start, Marci promises to come home for the holidays for the first time in years. GH's Eddy Plays Lunch Lady!

GENERAL HOSPITAL's Sonya Eddy (Epiphany) drops by the Disney Channel teencom GIRL MEETS WORLD tomorrow night.

In "Girl Meets The Forgotten," when the kids are assigned a special lesson on appreciation, Riley and Maya are forced to work in the school cafeteria -- and things don't go too well while the girls are filling in for Eddy's lunch lady!

(Does anyone else hear Adam Sandler singing in their head right now?) Tune in on Friday, October 10, at 8 p.m. EST.

Lacey Chabert Explores The Single Life!

In real life, Lacey Chabert, who began her career playing a young Bianca on ALL MY CHILDREN, is a happy newlywed. However, in her upcoming film, Christian Mingle, she'll play a career woman taking on the challenge of finding an honest relationship. "It's about a girl who's unlucky in love and decides to go online and try [dating Web site] Christian Mingle, even though she's not a Christian," Chabert reveals. "I've never done it personally, but I think it's a great way for people to meet. We do everything else on-line, why wouldn't we want to meet someone?"

But as Chabert's character negotiates the bizarre and sometimes challenging world of on-line dating, she winds up with a lot more than expected. "She finds both a great guy [played by Jonathan Patrick Moore] and a relationship with God," Chabert previews. "I think it's sweet, and I'm really proud of the message of the movie."

Making the film as she herself was prepping to get married last year was a whirlwind experience for Chabert; however, the opportunity to work with the film's director, Corbin Bernsen (ex-Father Todd, THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS; ex-Durant, GENERAL HOSPITAL), made it worth the effort. "Corbin is a blast. He's funny, crazy, smart... He has such a vision, and he doesn't give up until he gets it," Chabert enthuses. "He's a wonderful collaborator."

Christian Mingle, which also features soap opera veteran Morgan Fairchild (DALLAS, THE CITY) premieres Friday, October 10, with a special limited engagement in theaters.

Hobnob With The Stars!

Spend an intimate eventing with your favorite daytime and Broadway stars at the annual Jane Elissa Extravaganza For Leukemia And Cancer Research! The event will be held at the Time Square Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City on Monday, November 17.

Numerous soap stars are slated to attend, including honorary chairperson Jacklyn Zeman (Bobbie, GENERAL HOSPITAL), Gina Tognoni (Phyllis, THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS), Alicia Minshew (Kendall, ALL MY CHILDREN), Sean McDermott (Hart, GUIDING LIGHT), Sonia Satra (Lucy, GL), Kevin Spirtas (ex-Craig, DAYS OF OUR LIVES) and David Andrew Macdonald (Edmund, GL).

There will be special performances, auctions, a raffle and goodie bags. Tickets range in price from $125 to $500. For more information and ticket purchase, call Jane Elissa at 917-732-1085 or Lauri Landry at 646-732-9397.

It's Just Sex For One Of Sonny's Old Flames!

GENERAL HOSPITAL fans will remember Dahlia Salem as Claire, the federal prosecutor who first tried to send Sonny to jail for murder only to end up (surprise, surprise!) falling for the mobster. But now, Los Angeles-area fans can see the actress dealing with some very different relationship issues in the play It's Just Sex.

"The play is a comedy, which is always good and fun," Salem tells Soaps In Depth. "It's about six friends — all couples — who get together and something goes very askew on the night they meet up." There's no special occasion that draws the pals together. "They just haven't seen each other in a long time. They've been busy with kids and work and they all let loose when they get together while having some drinks and getting a bite."

Salem's character and her husband appear to be a content enough pair — but are they? "We do sound like a happy couple," the actress laughs. "Lisa definitely wears the pants in their relationship, which is fun to play."

Treading the boards again has been adventurous to say the least! "I haven't been on stage in 15 years," Salem says. "I'm really returning to my roots. Theater is where I got my training and where it all started for me. It's exhilarating and you have to be on your toes and be in the moment."

It's Just Sex is set to run at The Secret Rose Theatre in North Hollywood through Sunday, November 2.

Stars Strike Out Child Abuse!

Jen Lilley (Theresa, DAYS OF OUR LIVES; ex-Maxie, GENERAL HOSPITAL) is hosting a star-studded bowling tournament to benefit Childhelp, America's largest and longest-running nonprofit dedicated to helping victims of child abuse and neglect. The event will be held on Sunday, October 19, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at PINZ Bowling in Studio City, CA.

Amongst the celebrity guests are daytime stars like Chrishell Stause (Jordan, DAYS), Kelly Sullivan (Sage, THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS; ex-Connie, GH), Patrika Darbo (ex-Nancy, DAYS), Ian Buchanan (Duke, GH), Finola Hughes (Anna, GH), Billy Flynn (Chad, DAYS), Judi Evans (Adrienne, DAYS), Casey Moss (JJ, DAYS), Kassie DePaiva (Eve, DAYS; Blair, ONE LIFE TO LIVE), Kristian Alfonso (Hope, DAYS), Robert Scott Wilson (Ben, DAYS; Pete, ALL MY CHILDREN), Camila Banus (ex-Gabi, DAYS), True O'Brien (Paige, DAYS) and Lauren Koslow (Kate, DAYS).

John Wesley Shipp Previews THE FLASH!

Tonight is going to be déjà vu all over again for John Wesley Shipp (Kelly, GUIDING LIGHT; Douglas, AS THE WORLD TURNS) when THE FLASH debuts on The CW at 8:00 p.m. EST. The two-time Emmy winner, who played the title role in the primetime series about the DC Comics character that ran (get it? "ran?") from 1990-91 on CBS, is appearing in the new series, but in a slightly different role.

Are there many similarities between soap opera fans and devotees of the superhero world? "That's a very interesting question," Shipp tells Soaps In Depth. "It's one I haven't been asked before so bravo! They are similar and, at times, an overlapping audience."

Shipp says that the series title character (aka Barry Allen), played by Grant Gustin, is an actor to watch. "He can do comedy, play a genius when Barry is analyzing a crime scene and then turn around and break your heart. He's got it all."

In this version of THE FLASH, Shipp is playing Barry's dad, Henry, who's been wrongly incarcerated for killing his wife. Watch for Shipp to recur throughout the season as Barry fights to clear his dad's name. "I've had scenes with Jesse L. Martin (Det. Joe West) whose character has drilled into Henry's son's head that his father was a killer. What will he do when he finds out that he was wrong?"

ATWT Star Books Plum Primetime Part!

AS THE WORLD TURNS' fan favorite Michael Park (Jack) has landed a three-episode arc on NBC's CHICAGO P.D. Speaking to Soaps In Depth directly from the Windy City where the series is produced, Park shares the details about his exciting new role, which begins airing Wednesday, October 15, at 10 p.m.

"Asher is a diamond dealer who hires Antonio Dawson, John Seda's character, to work private security for him," Park reveals. "He's a bit of a rough guy -- he's rough on his wife -- and Dawson is not used to taking orders from someone of my background, so there will be some tension there between the two of them for sure."

While Park did not get to work with fellow ATWT alum Jesse Lee Soffer (Will), who plays brash detective Jay Halstead on the drama, they did discover that they share yet another connection. "India de Beaufort (ONE TREE HILL) plays my wife in this, and she's wonderful," Park reveals. "She and Jesse know each other very well, so India and I got to know each other through that one degree of separation."

In other great news, Park has begun rehearsals for NBC's upcoming production of Peter Pan Live as Cecco, a pirate who will be a member of Captain Hook's (played by Christopher Walken) crew. The beloved musical is scheduled to air Thursday, December 4, at 8 p.m. EST.
