The 10 (or 5) Most Interesting Kids From The Real Housewives!

0
0

Who would have thought that one of New York Fashion Week’s It girls would be the daughter of a Real Housewife? Gigi, whose mom is Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Yolanda Foster, was just that.

But Hadid is only the latest Housewives spawn to captivate us. The kids are often just as fun to watch as their parents — especially when we see them grow from year to year. That, and when they behave badly.

Here are our picks for 10 5 most interesting kids from the Housewives, ranked from worst to best.

Ashlee Holmes
If this were a list of the best kids from the Real Housewives franchise, Holmes would be nowhere near it. The daughter of Real Housewives of New Jersey star Jacqueline Laurita is the worst. The picture of spoiled entitlement, Holmes treated her mom so horribly that eventually, Laurita and Ashlee’s stepdad kicked her out of the house. She’s said countless obnoxious things on the show, but nothing will top the nonshow moment when, in 2011, she had her name legally changed from “Ashley” to “Ashlee.”

Peter Rosello

Miami housewife Alexia Echevarria’s son Peter Rosello grabbed headlines in 2012 when he posted a video of himself punching a homeless man in the groin. He was arrested but didn’t serve any time, just 100 hours of community service. He was arrested again in 2013 for pot possession.

Briana Culberson

As the daughter of the original “Orange County” housewife Vicki Gunvalson, Briana has grown up right in front of our eyes. Our baby girl is married with babies now! For years she was the voice of reason keeping her wackadoodle mom in check, but in recent seasons she’s grown far too obsessed with hating her mom’s man, Brooks. Her failure to let her mom be happy keeps her from being higher on this list.

Gigi Hadid

Hadid’s time on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” has mostly consisted of her mom Yolanda making weird comments about her body and her eating. Now Gigi’s a super hot real-life model. Congrats!

Shane Keough

Jeana Keough is long gone from “The Real Housewives of Orange County,” but luckily, her super-hunky son Shane still endures in various outlets. A former minor league baseball player, the 6-foot-3 stack of man meat is now a model and actor. In 2013, he starred in the gay romance “Capital Games.”

Sonja Morgan Publicly Wasted Again!

The Real Housewives of New York City portrays Morgan as a party girl who never says no to a good time. While the show is on hiatus and working out details with the returning housewives, Morgan is out on the town.

According to a report from TMZ, Sonja was drunk-kissing a gay man last night outside of a club she had just left. Fortunately for the camera guys, Morgan was not shy in front of them and a video was made of the encounter.

If you tuned into the most recent reunion, you will remember several of the housewives were calling Sonja out for being delusional with her comments.

Between all of her money trouble and her relationship with Harry, fans are shocked she hasn't hit her breaking point yet. This isn't the first drunk Sonja incident, and it probably won't be the last.

Amber Marchese accuses Teresa Giudice of setting her up on RHONJ!

Amber Marchese isn't afraid of pointing the finger at her "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" co-star Teresa Giudice.

In her latest Bravo blog entry, posted on Tuesday, September 9, Amber questioned whether Teresa knew what was coming when they met up with Victoria and Victoria made the bombshell claim that co-star Teresa Aprea's husband, Rino, actually slept with his mother-in-law, a claim that has since caused a lot of trouble for Amber and her husband, Jim Marchese.

Viewers were left stunned when Victoria, who had invited Teresa G. and Amber over for some drinks, said that Rino once told her and a bunch of other people that he had slept with his wife's mother and that's why they went through their divorce. Both Amber and Teresa seemed shell-shocked at the claim.

However, in her blog, Amber questions if Teresa G. really didn't know what Victoria was going to say. "How did Teresa not know Victoria Gotti's bombshell about Rino already? That is some story to keep a secret until a casual drop in," she wrote.

Teresa G. and Victoria have supposedly remained good friends since they both competed on Celebrity Apprentice. Many viewers are likely wondering, like Amber, whether Victoria really wouldn't have shared this information with Teresa G. right after she found out that Teresa A. and Rino were joining the cast.

"The meeting was way too coincidental for me. All I know is Teresa brought this rumor to my table, and I was asked to go to Florida with a group of girls who either attacked me or sat idly by as I was attacked…stay tuned," Amber continued in her blog.

After the episode aired, Us Weekly reported that Teresa Aprea and her twin sister Nicole are really blaming Jim for the whole rumor getting out and are even wanting to sue him. As Amber seemed to reveal in her blog post, why that is will be explained in a future episode.

Her blog post also seems to indicate that viewers may also see the new housewife's young friendship with Teresa Giudice deteriorating.

Miley Cyrus Is A Three Wheeled Can-Am Spyder Enthusiast

Miley isn’t done showing off her flat stomach. She was spotted with a friend riding Three Wheeled Can-Am Spyder, a 3 Wheel motocycles around the streets of Los Angeles on September 15, 2014. In the pictures, Miley was seen confronting a male, whom I guess is a paparazzo photographer.

Kanye West Responds: Wants the Media to "Pick A New Target" After 'Wheelchair-Gate'

0
0
Kanye West is continuing his headline-making tear across Australia...even if that's what he really doesn't want to happen.

"After the rapper took heat for calling on a fan (who turned out to be in a wheelchair) to stand up at his concert Friday, West went on a rant against the media during his show in the country Monday.

"Pick a new target, 'cause I'm not one of these dumb-ass artists that you're used to," West said at his Brisbane concert, the final date on his Yeezus tour of Australia.

He said the media will cover stories such as "Kanye West buying ice cream" and a jet-skiing squirrel, while ignoring issues such as kids being killed in Chicago or unnamed people being shot by police.

He said the media was trying to"demonize" him, and went on to call out Matt Lauer, Michael Strahan, Whoopi Goldberg and Robin Roberts, saying efforts to discredit him won't work, noting he is "a married Christian man with a family" who makes sure "everybody has as good of a time as possible" at his concerts."

Watch the video below.

Or read it in full:

"What I want you to do is, I want you to run the video everyone’s talkin’ about where I so-called screamed at somebody and everything. I want you to run that, right, since this is such big media-press-news and everything that obviously they trying to demonize me for. It’s like, ‘Welcome to today’s news, ladies and gentlemen.’ We’ve got Americans getting killed on TV, kids getting killed every weekend in Chicago, unarmed people getting killed by police officers…

…It makes you just want to reflect on what are the things that are a little bit more sensationalized than others. I want to take this platform. If I didn’t have this last concert, maybe I would’ve tweeted something or put out a statement with a publicist, but I can talk directly to you—my fans. Because they’ve got this thing where they want the masses—people who’ve never heard my albums to somehow read a headline that reads negative, and think that I’m a bad person or somethin’. I’m not judging, I’m just going to tell you who I am. I’m a married, Christian man. So, if you take someone that can go from being a rock star across the globe and everything and make the decision to pick one woman and raise a family, anyone here that’s married or that’s in a relationship knows that there’s enough things workin’ against you. I’m not going to make one of them Ben Affleck statements and shit.

But what I’m sayin’ is, you’ve got like 12 years that we put in positive music. How many people ever heard one of my songs on their way to work—they heard it, and it made them feel better? And on those songs that made them feel better, don’t I say offensive shit here and there, like, so wait a second, that’s my brand! I curse and say really offensive… wait a second. That’s why when I did ‘Runaway’ earlier, I said, ‘I sent ya a picture of my dick…’ what did ya think when y’all heard that? That’s not G-rated! This is rap fuckin’ music! This is real expression. This is real artistry. You know, an artist’s career doesn’t happen in one cycle of news—an artist’s career happens in a lifetime. And if you’re a true artist, you’re willing to die for what you believe in.

And I don’t know if you feel like this, or give this feeling after the 10, 11, 12 years, but does it seem like in any way I might be slightly a true artist? So, people on the Today show, I’m not sure I keep up with the news, but if Michael Strahan is still at the Today show—no, Good Morning America, Matt Lauer, the girls on The View—Whoopi Goldberg, Robin Roberts, if y’all run this, take a step back and look at this: I’m a married Christian man with a family. At my concerts, I make sure everybody has as good a time as possible. So all this demonizing me, it ain't goin’ to work after a while. Pick a new target. Because I’m not one of these dumbass artists that you’re used to. You come at me, I’m going to take my platform and break this shit down for real, intelligent people every night. And then, we’ll get back to the music."

Ariana Grande overheard saying she wished fans would "die" ....

image
Pint-sized pop star Ariana Grande had a choice word for fans after a recent radio show visit: Die!

Confidenti@l has learned that while visiting a Manhattan radio station this summer, the 21-year-old “Better Left Unsaid” singer should’ve left her thoughts unsaid.

“She did autographs and pics and was all smiles until she got into the elevator,” a stunned industry insider tells us. “And as soon as the doors shut she said, ‘I hope they all f—king die.’ ”

Allegations of Grande’s obnoxious attitude are nothing new. But they’re suddenly getting their own spotlight now that a nasty pattern has emerged.

MORE after the cut The Boca Raton-born mini-diva’s attitude was called into question in Australia last week when the pop tart left a meet-and-greet because she reportedly didn’t like the way she was being photographed. Before the shoot, her camp is said to have told photographers, “Don’t use natural light” and “Do shoot only from the left side of her face.”

This came after Grande’s camp reportedly told Aussie journalists they would not be allowed to ask the singer about her dating life, her recently canceled Nickelodeon show, comparisons to Mariah Carey or rumors of a collaboration with Justin Bieber.

Will it surprise anyone to learn that Grande is being managed by Bieber’s smarmy mentor Scooter Braun?

E!’s Giuliana Rancic reacted to Grande’s debacle Down Under by recalling that the singer was problematic at last year’s AMAs, when she nudged the TV host out of her way to make sure the camera got her good side. Rancic more or less wants to know who the hell this newcomer thinks she is.

“I just felt like it’s one thing if it’s Mariah,” she said. “Whatever it takes to get Mariah to do an interview.”

“But when you’re new on the block, when you’re trying to earn your stripes, you’re young, you just gotta do what you gotta do,” Rancic suggested.

Reports of Grande’s grouchiness surfaced earlier this month at a “Stand up to Cancer” benefit in L.A., where the U.K.’s Daily Star reported she was “a total nightmare” backstage. Event organizers later released a statement defending their celeb guest.

Grande further dissed fans Monday by offering a $495 photo op for fans during her upcoming “Honeymoon Tour,” but stipulated that shoots are for groups of four to six people, not individuals.

“Really?” exclaimed one media industry tipster. “Bieber, Miley, Britney, Katy Perry all did individual pics when they sold these packages.”

Reps for Grande declined to comment.

Iggy Azalea's former boyfriend desperate to convince us he has exclusive legal ownership of sex tape

Iggy Azalea's former boyfriend/manager now claims Iggy signed her rights away to him, giving him legal authority to market their sex tape ... TMZ has learned.

Hefe Wine says Iggy signed a lengthy agreement with him in 2009 -- obtained by TMZ -- which gives him exclusive rights to "manufacture, sell, distribute and advertise 'any' recording embodying visual images."

Iggy signed the contract to cut records and music videos, but Wine believes all he has to do is put a music bed under the sex tape
which he claims would then give him exclusive rights to sell it.

In other words, he believes Iggy has no legal ability to block a sex tape if he wants to sell it.

What's more ... the contract provides that Wine has the legal right to create, host and maintain a website to market Iggy's works, so he believes he could create a website which would host the video.

EXCLUSIVE: Jaime Kennedy Arrested For Hookers & Blow

In this exclusive footage obtained by ONTD, it appears comedian Jamie Kennedy was arrested last night for solicitation and narcotics charges. In this video, Kennedy is caught on camera battling with police while a small group of prostitutes help Kennedy resist arrest and cheer him on.

According to cops, Kennedy said "I'll pay you whatever it takes, just don't tell my wife!" Under the circumstances, authorities decided to waive bribery charges.

Kennedy was not immediately available for comment.

The arrest of the 44-year-old comic, most famous for Malibu’s Most Wanted and The Jamie Kennedy Experiment, is actually a scene in-character as sleazy casting director "Lance Selmour," featured in the 2014 motion picture, Jackhammer, which can be viewed here.

Nic Pizzolatto Parades Through Seven More Actresses for the 'True Detective' Female Lead

Has word of True Detective writer/creator Nic Pizzolatto’s difficult side trickled through the acting community, or is the HBO series really having this much difficulty finding the right lead actress to work opposite Colin Farrell and Taylor Kitsch and Vince Vaughn? The longer this casting process goes on, the more I’m beginning to feel the series is a one-hit wonder.

If appearances don’t deceive, it looks like Elisabeth Moss bypassed the series for a Broadway show, leaving the role of Ani Bezzerides, “a tough Monterey sheriff who’s troubled upbringing has driven her to gambling and alcohol” up for grabs. According to The Wrap’s, seven actresses are being brought back for a second read.

Ranked least likely candidates are Brit Marling (whose publicist says there’s “nothing really happening on the TD front”), Game of Thrones Oona Chaplin (Talisa) and Kelly Reilly (Black Box, Sherlock Holmes).

Believed to have a better chance (although it all seems simply reporter conjecture) are Jessica Biel, Malin Akerman and Jaimie Alexander. And finally, ranked as “favorite” is Sin City’s Rosario Dawson (also starring in Netflix’s upcoming Daredevil). Of all these, Dawson is the only name I’m excited about — and not because she’d provide diversity — rather, simply because she’s a great actress with both name recognition and range. But the others on the list leave me exhaling a complete and utter “Meh,” as is pretty much everything I’ve read about the series’ second season thus far.

First Listen: Mapei's New Album 'Hey Hey'

0
0

Pop music is constructed with many of the same base directives as candy, which is why the two are so often compared. Above all, both must feel good to consume, and both must make us want more. Pop meets basic human desires, and thus often gets dismissed as basic itself. It's true that the consumption of good pop is, by design, easy. But its creation is as exacting an art as tempering chocolate without scorching it, or whipping a capricious meringue into soft peaks.

What distinguishes trite from treat in both candy and ear candy is the search for inspiration in unexpected places. In a caramel, it might be a kick of cayenne or a zing of salt. On her full-length debut Hey Hey, rapper turned pop singer Mapei leaves no avenue unexplored in her search for sonically irresistible ingredients. "Don't Wait," the massive hit from 2013's Don't Wait EP, features finger snaps, a chorus shouting "Hey!" and affirmative lyrics about the power of love between friends. "Come On Baby" opens with spangled brass and builds into a frenetic techno swirl. A theremin layered over acoustic guitar gives way to a few seconds of synthesizer before swinging into funk and big beat in "Things You Don't Know About."

Mapei and producer Magnus Lidehäll (who has also produced Britney Spears, Kylie Minogue, and Katy Perry) drench Hey Hey in happy-making combinations, without reaching saturation or losing individual flavors to a rush of sugar. Every influence on display is well-studied and deployed effectively, and over it all dances Mapei's accessible, soaring voice, propelled by genuine charisma and heart. Her savvy-sweet brand of pop is proof that high-quality ingredients can't be faked, even in a product designed for immediate and mass consumption.'

Bill Hader Talks Gay Kisses, Trans Sketch and What Paul Rudd Tastes Like

0
0

Saturday night is a lot less spicy without Stefon, the fabulous "Weekend Update" club correspondent that turned actor Bill Hader into a comic star. But fear not. While Stefon has retired from "Saturday Night Live" to a "haunted diaper" in Chelsea, as Hader tells me in our recent chat, the funny-man flexes his impressive dramatic chops in "The Skeleton Twins," playing Kristen Wiig's twin, Milo, a struggling actor.

Aaaand, he's gay.

During our talk, Hader discussed his "license to be totally fabulous" as Milo, his regrettable transgender-centric "SNL" sketch, and the savory highlights of his A-list make-out roster.

You lip-syncing to Starship's "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now" in "The Skeleton Twins" would make everyone on "RuPaul's Drag Race" so proud.

(Laughs) You have to get me on that show! That would just be the best.

How much drag did you and Kristen observe while training for the famed lip-syncing sequence?

I mean, we had to learn that song, and we had a lot of fun doing that, but we didn't have a lot of time. There wasn't a lot of time in the day to do it. It was definitely a quick "we gotta go; we have a lot more to shoot today" moment, so it's cool it all came out so well.

So, what you're saying is you already knew how to sissy that walk.

(Laughs) I knew... I mean, I've gone out with enough of my gay friends to know.

The finger in the ear during the money note - was that Mariah Carey-inspired?

No, no. It was just me messing around. So much of that stuff was me just trying to make Kristen laugh and just knowing her sense of humor and what will make her laugh. I thought that was something that would.

You're a natural in that lady garb.

Oh, thank you.

Before "The Skeleton Twins," how experienced were you with cross-dressing?

Well, I had done some of it at "Saturday Night Live," but not in my life. Not a lot of cross dressing in my life.

Not yet.

Not yet. Maybe I will now. I remember we did a senior sketch in high school where we made fun of a group of moms called the "Brown Bag Lunch." They were these moms who put a lot of money into our high school, who would have these brown bag lunch things where they'd sit around and gossip about school - just a bunch of rich moms. We did a sketch at our homecoming and I played the main mom. We just recently watched that - my dad found it - and I'm essentially doing Stefon. I mean, it's pretty crazy. I'm in high school! It's pretty insane. But, I look goooood! My wife's like, "Wow, you look great. You're an attractive woman."

There's a scene in the film where you go to a gay bar only to find yourself there on dyke night. What's been your real-life gay bar experience?

You know, I haven't hung out that much in gay bars, but I don't go to bars in general. I remember going to one with writers from "SNL." There was a group of us and we went to a gay bar, because two of our writers were gay. It was fine. I had a good time. But I don't really go out. I'm reeeeally boring. (Laughs)

You're such a dad.

I'm a total dad. I'm really boring. I stay at home and I read. Because I did Stefon people assume that I go to all these clubs and I get invited to a lot of those things, but nah.

And yet you live this exciting life onscreen. I mean, you've maybe made out with more men than I have... and, Bill, I'm actually gay.

(Laughs) I have my wife run up to me a lot of times and be like, "Don't brush your teeth. Let me kiss you. This is the closest I'll get to kissing James Franco," or whoever it is I just made out with. I've made out with Paul Rudd so many times on "SNL" it's insane!

You made out with Ty Burrell during the shoot for "The Skeleton Twins."

Yeah, but it didn't make the cut. I'm gonna tell you right now, that was actually pretty hot. It was a hot scene.

What does Paul Rudd taste like?

He tastes like chicken, and James Franco tastes like cinnamon.

You even got to fondle Paul's man-aries.

Yeah, I touched his nipples.

Bill, this doesn't sound like a very boring life to me.

Yeah, I know. It's weird because we'll be doing it and our wives are just watching the show in the green room like, "Hahaha. OK, guys."

Given your history of make-out sessions with men: If you could play spin the bottle with any group of guys, who would you invite to that party?

Paul, James, Ty...

But they've already been to the party.

Yeah, they're already part of the party, but I just know they're all good kissers. I guess those guys, and then to mix it up, Danny McBride because I feel like I'd get the shit kicked out of me.

"SNL" has been criticized for its portrayal of the gay community and some of its homoerotic cheap shots. Did you ever turn down a skit or were you ever hesitant to do a sketch because it might offend the gay community? As a comedian, how conscious are you of avoiding stereotypes whether on "SNL" or in "The Skeleton Twins"?

In "Skeleton Twins" I honestly didn't think about it. The thing I liked about the script was that Milo being gay wasn't his problem. That wasn't the big issue in his life. He had a lot of other issues, and he just happens to be gay, which I thought was really great.

A journalist from another gay magazine said something that I liked - that I didn't try to iron out his gayness. He's flamboyant, but he's drawn from people I know, people I'm friends with, people Craig (Johnson, the director) knows. I mean, that dyke night scene was me basically just mimicking Craig. (Laughs) When Craig went (to me), "You know, you sit down" - and I could tell it was something that had probably happened to him before - "and you look around and it's fucking dyke night! You kind of go, 'Where's the boys at?'" So that is me impersonating Craig.

As far as "SNL" is concerned, Stefon was the same thing. His joke isn't that he's gay - the joke is that he's just really bad at his life. And that he's on a lot of drugs. I don't know if I ever said no to anything, but I know the transgender community got really mad at a sketch I was in about estrogen - Estro-Maxxx, about a pill - which made total sense. But it happens, and the show takes responsibility for it. We have a ton of gay people who work on the show.

In retrospect, would you have passed on that skit had you known it would offend the transgender community?

Yeah. I mean, I think the writers wouldn't have written it. I don't think anyone wrote it to hurt anybody's feelings, but once that happened it was like, "Oh yeah. Point taken. Sorry."

Actors who take LGBT roles often say you can't really play gay, but you're effortless as Milo. What's the trick? As a straight man, how do you transcend sexuality for a role?

I didn't think about it that way, to be completely honest. You just kind of do it and you find a part of you that's this Venn diagram, where you overlay with the character. So, my relationship with Ty Burrell's character: I just thought of high school romance, that's what I thought of - a girl I dated in high school and how that made me feel. And it's also just kind of hanging out with Ty. He's a really funny, nice guy. Things like that - actual feelings of like, "What a great guy, he's so nice" - play into it. You have to be very open. He's giving you something and you have to give back, and you just play off each other. But I trusted Craig. I was just like, "I'm gonna try a bunch of stuff," and Craig would tell me if it was too much. Usually his note was, "You can go a little further with it. You don't have to be so subtle."

And if a gay man is giving you permission to go gayer, you know you can.

Yeah, exactly. He's like, "I think you can be a little bitchy to (Kristen) now. Be a little flippant. I think he would be sassy with Kristen right here." I remember when I was in drag and he was like, "You have complete license to be totally fabulous," because (I was playing him) the opposite. I would try to sometimes play him in a way that was too subtle, and Craig was like, "Don't worry about people saying it's gonna be stereotypical - these are my friends."

Because of your role as Stefon on "SNL," how often are you pitched gay roles?

Actually, not that much, to be honest. Let me think. This might be the only one that I've been sent. It's interesting. During the Q&A, after the first screening of the movie at Sundance, someone asked us about (the similarities between) Stefon and Milo and I went, "Oh, yeah!" Craig, who is gay, took the question because I didn't know how to answer it. I went, "Uhhh." The only thing those two guys have in common is that they're gay, which is a good way of answering it.

Would Stefon and Milo be friends?

Craig says no, and I think he has a better idea than I do. Craig was like, "Oh my god, no." I think Stefon would freak Milo out.

I think Stefon would freak a lot of people out.

Yeah, you would be missing for a couple of weeks. If you went out with him, you'd have friends, parents, people pleading on the news, "Where's our son?"

Where is Stefon these days?

He's on the corner of 23rd and 9th some place. Somewhere in Chelsea hanging out inside a haunted diaper.

It's hard to believe it's been 35 years since The Facts of Life premiered. And, in fact, the cast would prefer you not even mention that at all.

"That's a terrible way to start things off," Lisa Whelchel, who played Blair Warner, teased the moderator at the start of Monday night's 35th anniversary reunion at the Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills.

In what became a running joke, Nancy McKeon, who played Jo Polniaczek, also gave anyone who brought that number up a (good-naturedly) hard time. "Why is everyone saying that so slowly?" she quipped. "Say it faster."

The cast — which also included Charlotte Rae (Edna Garrett), Mindy Cohn (Natalie Green) and Geri Jewell ("Cousin" Geri) — kept the audience laughing throughout the two-hour event. (Kim Fields, who played Tootie Ramsey in the 1979-88 sitcom, couldn't be there in person but recorded a video message for the fans.)

Case in point: When asked about kissing George Clooney for a scene, Whelchel said she had no memory of it. "I am all for repressed memories, but why I repressed that one, I don't know. … I pulled it up on YouTube and it's Blair pretending to be his fiancé and she comes in and lays one on him. I've since watched that several times," she added with a laugh.

Meanwhile, Cohn and Rae also regaled the audience with the story of how the former came to be cast in the show despite having no acting experience. Rae, Lear and Alan Horn, the current Walt Disney Studios chairman who was a production supervisor on the show, visited Cohn's high school to get some real-life insight into teenage girls. They happened to talk to Cohn, with whom Rae became intrigued.

"They asked me questions, and the next day … they told me, [Rae] wants to write a part for you," Cohn said. Added Rae: "You must have been scared shitless."

Meanwhile, Jewell also acknowledged her groundbreaking role as the first person with a disability to have a regular role on a primetime series and as the first actor with cerebral palsy to be featured on a TV show. (She has more recently appeared on series including Deadwood, Alcatraz and Glee.)

"It was the most amazing thing to have happened to me, and I think everybody was surprised that America embraced me," Jewell told THR. "It was like, 'What do we do with cerebral palsy? We can't talk about cerebral palsy in every episode.' So they let me be me; they let me be Blair's cousin. And that was a steppingstone to the mainstreaming that we're seeing today with people with disabilities in the industry. We have a long way to go, but I was first, and I am very proud of having that be a part of who I am."

The Cul-de-Sac Crew will be down one member for Cougar Town's final season. According to TVLine, Brian Van Holt, who's played Bobby Cobb since the show's premiere in 2009, will leave the comedy after its sixth season premiere.

A source tells the site that the premature departure is because Van Holt wants to pursue other opportunities.

Rihanna rips CBS for pulling 'Thursday Night Football' intro

0

When CBS pulled Rihanna’s intro to its inaugural broadcast of Thursday Night Football, it was generally accepted as a prudent, no-brainer move. Given the simmering Ray Rice controversy, beginning a broadcast with the frivolity of a pop song would have been tone-deaf. But there was at least one person who was unhappy with the decision:

In a tweet sent Tuesday morning to her 37.2 million Twitter followers, Rihanna ripped CBS for pulling the intro, which features her singing a rendition of the 2009 Jay-Z hit Run This Town that also featured herself and Kanye West. The pop star suggests that she doesn’t want CBS to air the intro this week, though it’s not clear whether she can prevent that from happening.

A request for comment from CBS Sports wasn’t immediately returned.

Last week, CBS Sports said the intro, and a planned comedy bit which was also scrapped, didn’t fit with the serious tone of its hourlong pregame show. The first 25 minutes of that show focused exclusively on Ray Rice’s release and indefinite suspension after video of him striking his now-wife was released by TMZ. Included in those segments were a news report by CBS Evening News anchor Scott Pelley and a powerful plea from James Brown to stop domestic violence.

“We thought journalistically and from a tone standpoint, we needed to have the appropriate tone and coverage,” CBS Sports chairman Sean McManus told SI.com last week of the decision to bump Rihanna’s intro, among other features. “A lot of the production elements we wanted in the show are being eliminated because of time or tone.”

Also hanging over the planned intro was the 2009 incident in which Rihanna was the victim of an assault by singer Chris Brown, her then boyfriend. Brown received probation, counseling and community service after entering a guilty plea to one count of felony assault.

CBS has dropped Rihanna’s intro after her complaint.
