Courtney Love admits to losing $27 million!!!

Courtney Love estimates she’s lost about $27 million in her tumultuous hard-rock life.“I know that’s a lifetime of money to most people,” Love tells Britain’s Daily Mail. “But I’m a big girl, it’s rock ’n’ roll, it’s Nirvana money, I had to let it go,” she said, referring to the band founded by her late husband, Kurt Cobain.

Refusing to show signs of bitterness, the 50-year-old singer, songwriter and actress explained that her current income allows her to enjoy a comfortable life.
“I make enough to live on. I’m financially solvent. I focus on what I make now.”

Love attributed her overwhelming misfortunes with money to a number of settled lawsuits, adding that she is still in the midst of upholding her name in court in several libel cases which deal with claims related to her use of prescription drugs.

Best & Worst Dressed at the 2014 Teen Choice Awards

0
0

Let's get this out of the way early on: Basically everyone wore some type of crop top to the 2014 Teen Choice Awards.
Perhaps it's the fact that summer is almost over and celebs know soon they'll have to put away those midriff shirts for a few months. Whatever the reason the blue carpet was flooded with two-piece ensembles.
Our favorites? Nina Dobrev in a cheerful Vionnet combo, Taylor Swift in a refreshing green number and Shay Mitchell in a white hot get-up that looked very similar to something Kim Kardashian wore for her birthday last year.

Not that all of the belly bearing looks were spot on. Chloe Moretz and Jordin Sparks' printed outfits were a little too busy for our tastes. And then there was the mismatched gold-on-gold look from Katie Stevens.
As for the frocks, Lucy Hale and Sarah Hyland both took the plunge and it paid off majorly. While Hailee Steinfeld's slightly frumpy dress made us wish she'd went with something a bit more youthful.
What did you think of the fashions at tonight's awards show?

Sir Matthew Jowly No More: Dan Stevens Sports Muscles, Singular Chin in "The Guest"

0
0

What would you do if Dan Stevens showed up at your door? If you’re a fan of the series Downton Abbey, on which he used to play the honorable Matthew Crawley, you might be inclined to invite him in for tea.

But once you see this exclusive full-length trailer for The Guest above, you may think twice.

“It’s part of that tease with the audience — you know, ‘Oh, it’s that nice young man off Downton!’” Stevens tells Yahoo Movies. “Just watch the movie, that’s what I say.”

In the darkly humorous thriller, Stevens plays David, an Iraq War veteran who shows up at the doorstep of his dead army pal’s grieving family. He says he’s there to help — but when people start dying, his real motivation comes into question.

The Guest is the newest feature from director Adam Wingard and writer Simon Barrett, best known for clever low-budget horror flicks like the sleeper home-invasion hit You’re Next, which is what reeled in Stevens. “As soon as I saw that movie, I was like, ‘I want to meet the crazy, crazy people who made this film,’” the actor says. The Guest falls less into the horror category than the duo’s previous movies. As Stevens describes it, it’s more of a genre mash-up, inspired in part by Wingard’s back-to-back viewings of The Terminator and Halloween.

Stevens doesn’t want to give away any of the movie’s twists, but he thinks it’s surprising enough to get a big reaction. “You always see on Facebook, like, ‘Can someone please watch the season finale of Breaking Bad so that we can talk about it?’” he says. “I’d like to think that people will feel the same way about The Guest: ‘I want my friends to see this because we need to talk about it!’”

The Guest opens in theaters on Sept. 17.

Teen Wolf Post!!!

1406606117225

Here we are sitting at episode 8 of “Teen Wolf” season 4, and even though there is not that many more hours to go in this season, we’re still staring in the face of one major question: Who in the world is the Benefactor?(its Parrish lbr)

In the sneak peek below, both Stiles (Dylan O’Brien) and Argent (JR Bourne) are going to do everything in their power to try and figure it out using some subtle manipulation and also defiance. Unfortunately for them, they are dealing with someone here who is reasonably stuck in their ways. We cannot see the Benefactor bending to the will of anyone, and merely just wants to continue crossing names off of the deadpool. (If only they were talking about the Marvel character…)

As of right now, though, this preview does not offer up a whole lot in the way of information about what is coming up in terms of solving the mystery. Peter is an obvious suspect(a little too obvious of one) to be the character, and there of course many other possibilities out there. We would be shocked if it is a completely new face in the mix, and we personally feel like it’d be so much more interesting if it is someone we’re already incredibly familiar. With all of this being said, you can probably cross off the people in this video from the list. They are working a little too hard at figuring it out.

Who do you think is the man or woman behind the computer right now?

Ben Whishaw talks about coming out, bears and Freddie Mercury

On the release of his latest movie, British actor Ben Whishaw has talked more about coming out.

RADA-trained Whishaw, who rose to prominence alongside Dustin Hoffman in the 2006 movie, Perfume, and has since taken on the role of Q in the James Bond franchise, stars in Lilting, which opened in UK cinemas yesterday (8 August).

Directed by Hong Khaou, 33-year-old Whishaw plays Richard: a man grieving the death of his Chinese-Cambodian boyfriend, Kai. Following his death, Richard attempts to forge a bond with Kai’s mother. However, the old woman, played by Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon’s Cheng Pei-Pei, cannot speak English, did not know her son was gay, and already harbours a dislike for Richard.

Whishaw revealed that he was gay last year, after announcing that he had entered a civil partnership with his Australian partner, composer Mark Bradshaw. Talking to author Damian Barr on the BBC’s Front Row radio show about Lilting, he said that although there had been tremendous advances in gay rights, LGBT people still had to go through the ‘coming out’ process.

‘It’s still a difficult conversation to have with people who you are very close to and an intimate conversation and something people have to do in their own way and their own time and I don’t think that has gotten any easier… because it’s that thing that you never have to announce to anyone that you’re heterosexual, so it’s different and always will be, I suppose.’

Whishaw also joked about getting into character for his upcoming role as the voice of Paddington Bear in an animated feature.

‘It’s been quite wonderful and quite difficult – more difficult than I anticipated ‘cause the bear on the screen that I look at has such a clear character and it’s so painfully obvious to me when my voice is not working with that little bear but I think I’m slowly getting there… slowly becoming more and more beary!’

Besides the Paddington Bear movie, Whishaw will be reprising his role as Q in the next Bond movie, due for the release at the end of 2015. However, another rumoured project now appears to be on hold.

Having previously been confirmed to take on that role of Freddie Mercury in a biopic of the Queen singer, Whishaw told Time Out London this week, ‘Actually, I don’t know what’s happening, it seems to be on the back-burner… It was going, then there were problems getting the script working.’

Gwyneth Paltrow living across the street from Chris Martin!!!

Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin are continuing their “conscious uncoupling” across the street from each other in the Hamptons. Page Six can exclusively reveal the former couple are spending the summer at two separate, but very close, addresses in Amagansett.

We’re told that Chris has rented the mansion of Los Angeles Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak, who has a 4,000-square-foot place off Old Montauk Highway, while Gwyneth’s home is just a few blocks and a short walk away. According to neighbors, Chris can often be seen strolling or jogging around the area on his own, or surfing in Montauk with his and Gwyneth’s kids Apple, 10, and Moses, 8.

Chris and Gwyneth announced their split in March after 10 years of marriage. He recently told Z100 host Elvis Duran that while they are apart, they remain friends for their children.“We are very close. We are not together. But we’re — you know — that’s the truth and that’s it,” Chris said, adding, “There’s a lot of love. No scandal, I’m afraid.”

Despite the separate addresses, the Coldplay rocker — who performed a stunning solo set at the Box on the Lower East Side last week — and Gwyneth continue to spend time together as a family. We reported they were spotted dining at Bay Kitchen Bar in East Hampton, and shopping for skateboards for their kids before heading for pizza.

Host Josh Wolf returns to the one-hour program with his sidekick Bob the Shark (Bob Oschack) and social media correspondent Taryn Southern. Viewers will once again have the opportunity to interact live on-air with tweets, questions to the shark experts, and more.

Last year, the talk show out-delivered every late-night cable talk show competitor in both Discovery's key demographic of Adults 25-54, and in the advertiser-coveted Adults 18-49 demo.

“Shark After Dark” is produced by Sony-owned Embassy Row and Green Mountain West.

Did you watch this/set your DVRs for this last night, ONTD? What is the Shark Week program you're looking most forward to? I watched & enjoyed "How Jaws Changed the World".

Hope you saw Evanesence when you could...

EVANESCENCE singer Amy Lee, who became a first-time mother last month, has confirmed to RollingStone.com that she doesn't "have any plans to do anything with the band" for the foreseeable future.

"The situation is we're not doing it now," she said when asked about EVANESCENCE's current status.

"I don't like to make predictions about the future, because I'm honestly open-minded, and I would never want to say I'm done with any of it, because it's a huge part of me.

"I've loved my time with EVANESCENCE, I wouldn't want to just throw it away, but, for the foreseeable future, I don't have any plans to do anything with the band.

"It's really important to me to take some time to show some different sides of myself.

"I've said this all the way through EVANESCENCE, especially on the second and third record: 'I have the freedom to express myself completely within the band, so why would I want to do anything else?' And that's true only to an extent, because as much as I could go through a range of emotions, there's a certain expectation there.

"With the fans, with myself, I know what EVANESCENCE is; it's an entity, it's bigger than just myself, which is awesome, but I can write a song and go 'That is or isn't an EVANESCENCE song,' and they both happen. So there does need to be other outlets for me to make music."

Lee sued her longtime record label, Wind-Up, in January for at least $1.5 million over unpaid royalties and other alleged misdeeds. Lee alleged in her lawsuit that the company attempted to sabotage the band's career. The lawsuit has since been settled.

Asked about the factors that led to legal action and the ramifications of the settlement, Amy told RollingStone.com: "I can't say anything negative; I had to sign a non-disclosure, so that's the only way in any sense that I'm still bound.

"Everything's still the same for me; it's not like I no longer get paid any money when someone buys [EVANESCENCE's debut album] 'Fallen', but they sold it to somebody else. My back catalog is owned by this company Bicycle-Concord, and they're great, so there's nothing different there. But my future is mine, so anything I do from here forward is up to me, and it's awesome."

Lee will release a new album, "Amy Lee Featuring Dave Eggar: Aftermath", on August 25 via 110 Records, Inc. The disc is a film-score collaboration with Dave Eggar for the movie "War Story", which premiered in January at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah.

Lee told MTV earlier the year that the music for "Aftermath" is unlike anything she's done before. She explained, "It's going to surprise my fans. It's not what you'd expect; the film is very dark, very introspective . . . There are moments of playing, and it's musical, but there are a lot of moments where Dave and I just built walls of sounds, out of blaring cellos and trombones and synthesizers and harp, all on top of each other. Sort of creating new sounds. It's not, like, a soundtrack. it's an atmosphere."

Lee did write one new song for the film, called "Push The Button", about which she said, "It's very different for me, it's electronic; I did it all myself." She added, "This whole process has been really different, and freeing. Doing my band, it's always been a big deal, a lot of pressure, a lot of hoops to jump through and things to live up to . . . (this) wasn't about production and singles and worldwide success, it's about the integrity of the art piece we're creating."

Lee gave birth to a son named Jack Lion, on July 24. According to People.com, Jack Lion entered the world weighing seven pounds and 13 ounces. The 32-year-old Lee wrote on Instagram, "I have never known the depths of my heart till now. The world just exploded into Technicolor." Lee has been married to Josh Hartzler, a therapist, since May 2007. The couple live in New York City.

EVANESCENCE's third, self-titled album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 when it came out in 2011.

The band toured through mid-2012 in support of the CD, but has been inactive since then.

Jessica Chastain is opening up about the death of legendary actor Robin Williams and how he changed her life by funding a scholarship that she received to attend college.
“Robin Williams changed my life. He was a great actor and a generous person. Through a scholarship, he made it possible for me to graduate college. His generous spirit will forever inspire me to support others as he supported me. He will forever be missed,” the Oscar-nominated actress wrote on her Facebook account.
In a previous interview, Jessica said that Robin‘s funding “paid for my schooling, back and forth to go home for Christmas, books, everything. He actually made it possible for me to go to school there because my family were not incredibly wealthy and I was the first one to go to college.”
When talking about it over the last few years, Jessica said that she never had the chance to personally thank him for his generosity. One time he sat next to her at a restaurant, but before she had a chance to talk to him, he ended up leaving and she didn’t want to run after him.
We surely hope you got the chance to meet him, Jessica!

Guillermo del Toro Reveals Doing The Strain Has Been Rewarding & Wants To Be On Set For Season 2!

Speaking to Zap2It recently, del Toro revealed that when he’s working on a movie, he brings a lot of detail to the set, and that’s what he did for The Strain.

“I wanted Setrakian’s cane to be the most beautiful prop we could fabricate, but it was very expensive. I said I’d pay part of it and keep one,” he explained.

Although the majority of the viewers won’t notice the detail, del Toro explained a lot of work went into Abraham’s pawn shop. We don’t know if The Strain will be renewed for a second season. Reports surfaced the show has been renewed, but nothing has been confirmed.

Shooting began on the show in September 2013, so if the execs are going to keep the same time frame for a second season, we’re probably going to hear something pretty soon.

If there is a second season, del Toro has revealed that he wants to be on set every single day, and he’s cleared his schedule for the rest of 2014. “I don’t shoot anything until 2015 because I need to be there if they give us a second season,” he admitted.

Promo for episode 1.06 – Occultation: After warning Kelly to leave the city with Zack, Eph gets arrested by the FBI. Eichhorst has a final job for Gus, while Setrakian realizes the coming eclipse will be the tipping point for virus infection and the beginning of the end.

MMA Fighter "War Machine" On the Run After Assaulting 2 Victims

War Machine, formerly Jon Koppenhaver, was recently released from his Bellator promotional contract due to allegations that he assaulted his former girlfriend Christy Mack and another individual.

War Machine was reportedly involved in a three-person altercation early Friday morning, TMZ Sports first reported, citing Las Vegas police as its source. Police said that two of the involved parties suffered severe, but non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to a hospital. One of the victims was described by police as War Machine’s “significant other.”

On Sunday, War Machine posted several comments on Twitter, several directed at Mack, saying he wasn’t a bad guy and was only trying to surprise his girlfriend with an engagement ring.

Mack on Monday posted graphic photos of the injuries she suffered, she says at the hand of War Machine, as well as a statement giving her account of what transpired.

Miss Mack’s unedited statement:

At around 2 am Friday morning, Jon Koppenhaver arrived unannounced to my home in Las Vegas, NV, after he broke up with me in May, he moved out of my house and back to San Diego. When he arrived, he found myself and one other fully clothed and unarmed in the house. Without a single word spoken, he began beating my friend; once he was finished, he sent my friend away and turned his attention to me. He made me undress and shower in front of him, then dragged me out and beat my face. I have no recollection of how many times I was hit, I just know my injuries that resulted from my beating.

My injuries include 18 broken bones around my eyes, my nose is broken in 2 places, I am missing teeth and several more are broken. I am unable to chew, or see out of my left eye. My speech is slurred from my swelling and lack of teeth. I have a fractured rib and severely ruptured liver from a kick to my side. My leg is so badly injured I have not been able to walk on my own. I also attained several lesions from a knife he got from my kitchen. He pushed the knife into me in some areas such as my hand, ear, and head. He also sawed much of my hair off with this dull knife. After some time, the knife broke off of the handle and continued to threaten me with the blade. I believed I was going to die. He has beaten me many times before, but never this badly.

He took my phone and cancelled all of my plans for the following week to make sure no one would worry about my whereabouts. He told me he was going to rape me, but was disappointed in himself when he could not get hard. After another hit or two, he left me on the floor bleeding and shaking, holding my side from the pain of my rib. He left the room and went to the kitchen where I could hear him ruffling through my drawers. Assuming he was finding a sharper, more stable knife to end my life, I ran out my back door, shutting it behind me so the dogs didn't run inside to tip him off. I hopped the fence to the golf course behind my house and ran to a neighboring house. Naked and afraid he would catch me, I kept running through the neighborhood knocking on doors. Finally, one answered and I was brought to the hospital and treated for my injuries.

I would like to thank everyone for their support through this rough time. I am healing fast and well, and I appreciate all of the prayers and visits I have received over the past few days. After many months of fear and pressure to keep this man happy, although I fear for my life, I feel that I can no longer put myself in this situation. The cheating by him nearly every day, and almost weekly abuse is now more than I can stand. There is a $10k reward for the capture of Jonathan Koppenhaver at this time. Please report any information to your local police.

Thank you.
-Christy Mack

As of the time of publication, War Machine had still eluded police custody.
