Look at that rock! Gabrielle Union is engaged to Dwyane Wade, the couple announced on Saturday, Dec. 20.

"Sooooo this happened...#Yessss," the 40-year-old actress wrote via Instagram. Alongside the caption, Union shared the (gorgeous!) engagement ring the Miami Heat basketball player presented to her when he popped the question. Wade added: "She said YES!!!"

The Think Like a Man Too star and Wade, 31, shared an intimate snapshot of the bride-to-be placing her hand in her new fiancé's. The close-up photograph showed off Union's beautiful square-cut diamond.

The soon-to-be bride and groom have been dating since 2009, and have never shied away from expressing their love for one another.

"She makes my eyes sparkle," Wade told Oprah Winfrey on Oprah's Next Chapter last summer. "The biggest time she makes my eyes sparkle is when Zaire (his 11-year-old son from a previous marriage) comes home and homework is a little hard that day, so he's stressing, and she goes to the table with him and she sits down until he gets it."

He added: "And at that time my heart is smiling a little bigger that day because I know her love is deeper than just me."

The former MTV reality star appeared on Bethenny, where she once again claimed that many scenes from Laguna Beach and The Hills were, at the very least, semi-scripted.

"I faked relationships, faked fights. I don't care anymore—I can tell you. At this point, it's been so many years," said Cavallari, who starred on Laguna Beach from 2004 to 2005 and joined The Hills midway through its fifth season in 2009. The spinoff series ended after six seasons in 2010.

Cavallari provided an example of a fabricated storyline. "Brody Jenner at the time was dating Jayde Nicole," she recalled. "I dated Brody when I was 18, right after Laguna Beach. And then on the show, on The Hills, they had us 'dating' for a few episodes.

They pretended that him and Jayde broke up and I was dating Brody, and Jayde and I got into a huge fight because she saw us in a club. It wasn't real at all. They were together the entire time."







The shoe designer said Laguna Beach and The Hills were "very much like soap operas" but added that she views them "as two different shows."

"Laguna Beach, they really just manipulated situations and put us in situations that we normally wouldn't have been in, or we'd have to film something that maybe happened a month ago or hasn't happened yet—stuff like that," Cavallari revealed. "When I decided to join The Hills, I knew exactly what I was getting into, I knew exactly the character they wanted me to be, so I said, 'Listen, I'm game. What do you want me to do?'"



Asked about how the show affected Hills costar Heidi Montag, Cavallari replied, "I have to say, Heidi is one of the sweetest, nicest girls I think I've ever met. She has such a good heart, and I really mean that. I think she just got caught up in all the hype, which is easy to do. I mean, I get it. When I was 18 I probably got caught up in the hype a little bit, too. But she's still the same person inside. I still talk to Heidi all the time."



Cavallari, 26, didn't appear on Bethenny just to dig up dirt, however. She was also there to discuss her second pregnancy, which she exclusively revealed to E! News in October. Cavallari and Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler—already parents to Camden, 16 months—will learn the gender of their son's sibling in a matter of days.



"I'm going to have my doctor write it on a piece of paper and we're going to open it on Christmas together," Cavallari shared.

The unspoken plea of Star Wars fans around the world right now is that with Episode VII Disney will do right by the legacy George Lucas began in 1977 with A New Hope. Please no lazy cash-grabbing. Please no Jar Jar Binks-level misjudgments. But how are we meant to take news that the screenplay for Star Wars: Episode VII still hasn't been completed? Does this mean J.J. Abrams and fellow screenwriter Lawrence Kasdan are meticulously hammering out the final details of a thoughtfully prepared script? Or is Disney scrambling to get the story cemented before production begins this spring?

Disney chairman Alan Horn shared the news that the script isn't yet finished while speaking at a "Dealmakers Breakfast" event hosted by Variety this morning. While there's no direct quote, Variety reporter Marc Grasser shared this informative summary Tweet, which was picked up by /Film:

Disney expects to get script for Star Wars 7 in January. No budget for movie although studio wouldn't be surprised if it costs $200 million.

Then there's a promise of a string of Star Wars spin-offs:

Unfortunately, these tweets don't give us an indication as to how far along the Episode VII script is, or even if the film's development is on schedule. Nonetheless, little snippets of information have been falling into place. Following Disney's announcement that Episode VII would be made and set to debut in 2015, rumors flew about who might helm the hotly-anticipated sequel. Then in January of 2013, Star Trek director J.J. Abrams leaped from one universe-traversing franchise for another, settling into Episode VII's director's chair. Next came wild speculation about what might be next for Luke, Leia and Han, and since we've run into way more questions than answers.

If Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford, and Mark Hamill return, what would it mean? Would the next chapter have Luke starting a Jedi academy? Or maybe it would focus on Luke and Leia's kids? Will Emperor Palpatine be back in play somehow? What about the Millennium Falcon? Then, of course, there's been the casting rumors, which have included everyone from Ryan Gosling, Zac Efron and Jonathan Rhys Meyers to Magic Mike's Alex Pettyfer, Perfume: The Story of a Murderer's Rachel Hurd-Wood, Doctor Who's Matt Smith, Benedict Cumberbatch, David Oyelowo, Michael B. Jordan, Saoirse Ronan, and Chloe Moretz.

Casting has reportedly already begun, with producers looking not only at stars like those above but also at video auditions from newcomers. "But wait!" you might be thinking. "If people are auditioning, that means there are pages of a script written!" That's sound logic, but you have to remember we're talking about one of the biggest movie franchises the world has ever seen, being continued by a man famous for his infuriating mystery box tactics. My bet is those sides being auditioned with are similar to those Joss Whedon gave out for Cabin in the Woods, which is to say they give the casting director an insight into whether a performer is right for the part without having anything in particular to do with the actual film aside from tone and genre. Whatever percentage of the script is written is being kept safely guarded for now.

But hey! Last month we learned the beloved beeping droid R2-D2 would definitely be returning to the franchise. Slowly but surely some of Episode VII's secrets are being revealed. With filming beginning in the spring, we should get casting confirmations before long, and with them more details will inevitably surface.

Star Wars: Episode VII is expected to hit theaters on December 18th, 2015.

Christmas is just a few days away, meaning families will be gathering for their holiday traditions, and that includes Britney Spears.

"We always do a tree, we do dinner, a huge dinner, we do presents and we are all about Santa," Britney recently told MTV News

According to Britney's younger sister, Jamie Lynn, the Spears family will spend their holiday in Sin City, where, two days after Christmas, Britney will kick off her two-year residency, "Piece of Me" at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.

"We are actually going to go to Vegas and the whole family is going to be there," Jamie Lynn said before adding that she will not be making an appearance onstage during her sister's show. "I'm just there to be a cheerleader and that's kind of intimidating. I don't know how to dance."

Joining in on the Christmas Day festivities will be Jamie Lynn's 5-year-old daughter Maddie and Britney's two sons Jayden James and Sean Preston. Jamie Lynn revealed that she's become very close with her nephews over the years.

"It's really cool. They are two boys, and it's weird because I feel like she's tougher than them," she said. "It's really cool to see their dynamic. She keeps right up with them."

And speaking of tough, let's hope there are no arguments between Britney and Jamie Lynn, who recently collaborated on Britney's eighth album Britney Jean, this holiday season. The two both have admitted that they rarely fight. But when they do, things get a little physical.

"Sometimes we get on each other's nerves, and we will actually physically wrestle," Jamie Lynn said. "And she really thinks she can beat me every single time and she never does. I don't know why she keeps trying. My dad loves it. He doesn't stop it either; he just let's it go and walks in the other room. He probably can't hear; he has hearing aids."

Talk about a fast turn-around: Ylvis released “What Does the Fox Say?” in September, went viral shortly after, inked a book deal with Simon & Schuster in November, and released said book an unheard-of five weeks later. Now, it’s reached the top of the New York Times’ Best Sellers List for Children’s Books.

According to the publisher, the record-breaking sales for children’s publishing have amounted to more than 60,000 units sold in-store in just one week; it’s now in its sixth printing with 300,000 copies in print. The question is, will viral videos continue to be turned into book so quickly? Should we expect the lyrics for goat versions of Taylor Swift songs to also hit shelves soon?

NEW YORK, N.Y.—Lorde may never be a royal but, these days, she’s living like one.

The 17-year-old singer, anointed to the lofty position of pop’s newest princess thanks to her astute hit song “Royals,” is surrounded by the materialistic things she rails against in her No. 1 smash. She has drivers, she’s catered to and says she could get “crazy bottle service” if she so desired.
“The irony is not lost on me,” she said in a recent interview. Yet just because she’s surrounded by excess doesn’t mean she indulges or is even interested in it.
“I definitely don’t feel like I’m living in a particularly extravagant sort of way, which I think is good because I think for me, personally, if I was thrown into that kind of thing I wouldn’t know how to deal with it,” she said. “I think it’s good to kind of keep on keeping on: just do what you have normally done and sort things into a stride.”

It will be hard for Lorde, born Ella Yellich O’Connnor, to keep on living a normal life if her stratospheric trajectory stays on point. In just a few months, she’s gone from being a New Zealand teen with an EP and an impressive following on SoundCloud to a four-time Grammy nominee (including nominations for top categories Record and Song of the Year) with commercial success and plenty of critical raves.

“Royals,” which has sold close to 4 million tracks, was in the top spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart for nine weeks and Rolling Stone named the song as the second best single of the year. Lorde was named Spotify’s most viral new artist and NPR recently compared her to Nirvana — a pretty heady comparison for someone who’s still in high school.
But Lorde is miles apart from the typical teen artist or pop star. Her debut, Pure Heroine, touches on what she describes as teen life: relationship drama, school, party life and suburban living. But it hardly comes off that way. With the help of her collaborator, Joel Little, Lorde fashioned a moody, lyrically rich album told in a far more mature way than most teens would ever describe.
Lorde, who says she started writing music when she was 12, downplays the hype (she calls “Royals” an “obvious” song) and talk about being wise beyond her years.
“Is that an odd thing?” she asks. “I’ve always written and read and that’s been a part of me that’s superimportant. And it’s a really good outlet for me to be able to say whatever I’m thinking and whatever it is that I’m trying to process. So I don’t think it’s too weird. And I also think people my age these days . . . with the Internet, you know, you can be making beats out of your bedroom and be a superstar.”
While plenty of people are making beats out of their bedroom, few are taking it to the superstar level.
In a music world where the majority of female pop stars seem to be competing for who can wear the least, Lorde stands out with her understated, almost modest, attire; the wildest thing about her is her long, flowing auburn hair.
She’s garnered a reputation for being outspoken. She was quoted as calling DJ/producer David Guetta “gross,” has made disparaging comments about Selena Gomez and Miley Cyrus, and complained that Taylor Swift seemed “too perfect.”
Perhaps weary of such headlines, Lorde declined to clarify those comments in this interview. She blamed others for trying to position her as the “anti-other things that are happening right now.”
But the self-proclaimed feminist seems to make that declaration on her own.
“My kind of interest in making music was born out of this desire to hear something that I hadn’t yet heard,” she said. “I guess it was never really going to be interesting for me to do something that had been done a lot of times. Because, yeah, I wanted to make something that I thought was fresh and felt kind of new.”

We’re starting to get the feeling that Kendall and Kylie Jenner don’t REALLY do all that much with their time other than go out and spend money on delicious grub and really nice clothes, and for Christmas we’d quite like to find out that we’re some kind of long lost sister of theirs, if we're honest.

Their latest very busy and strenuous day was spent out and about in West Hollywood where they... YUP you guessed it, popped out for a spot of lunch and a browse through the shops. Life is quite unfair sometimes isn’t it?

The usually super glam sisters went pretty cool and casual for their girly day out together. Kendall grunged down in a pair of ripped stonewashed jeans, paired with a slouchy white tee, biker boots and a dark quilted bag.

She let her dark hair hang loose around her shoulders in a sleek, straight style as she mastered the ol' text and walk trickery. Who're you on the phone too, Kendall? Do we really want to know...? Does he have curly hair and a dangly earring? HMMM.

Kylie went for a slightly more dressed up look, opting for a textured khaki skirt with a cropped black tee, black ankle boots and cute stripey ankle socks to give the outfit a fun final touch.

Both girls looked less than impressed to be greeted by the paps as they headed to their car after lunch, and covered their faces with MAHOOSIVE celeb-style sunnies.


They also didn’t look all that happy with eachother, as Kendall followed behind a pretty moody looking Kylie. Maybe Kylz confessed that her favourite 1D member is Niall and it didn’t sit too well with Kendall. Or something.

Drake is headed back to Saturday Night Live, this time as host and musical guest.

He'll be the first host of the new year, pulling double duty on Jan. 18, 2014. Drake was the musical guest back in 2011 but has never hosted.

Drake released his third studio album, Nothing Was the Same, in September.

Saturday Night Live airs Saturdays at 11:30 p.m. on NBC.

The new Star Trek series...

It’s been a while since we saw Star Trek on TV. With the success of the new Star Trek films, CBS don’t have much appetite for creating a new series, but will fortunes turn the tide in 2016?



With the 50th Anniversary of the Star Trek franchise in 2016, and the 3rd ‘Star Trek’ film being released (in theory) the same year it would make sense to use the milestone opportunity to launch a ‘new frontier’ on TV.
TV audiences haven’t disappeared for Star Trek, but there is a saturation point and with the big blockbuster releases coming out every few years, it doesn’t make sense to overload the Trek universe. However, it might be time to put the breaks on the movies, and go back to the TV roots after the 3rd film, which is where the franchise was born.

The last Star Trek TV series finished in 2005, 4 years before the new ‘Star Trek’ came out, directed by J.J Abrams and starring Chris Pine. It wasn’t the most successful series of the Star Trek history, but it certainly gained prestige, winning 4 Primetime Emmys.

After the cult success in the 90s of ‘Star Trek : The Next Generation’ and ‘Star Trek : Voyager’, it was always going to be a challenge to create a new storyline. The prequel series, which launched in 2001 was set 100 years prior to the first Star Trek episodes with William Shatner, but was so far out of sync, that it didn’t resonate with the fans as much as the others.

Previous Star Trek movies have been based on TV episodes, but could we see a role reversal where the characters from the new movies get put into a series? Wouldn’t that be interesting?

Everyone needs to leave Phil Robertson alone for expressing his beliefs. I think it’s so hypocritical how the LGBT community expects every single flippen person to agree with their life style.  This flies in the face of what makes America great – people can have their own beliefs and own opinions and their own ways of life.

Everyone needs to treat others like God would, with love. 

It goes both ways.

I hate how the LGBT community says it’s all about “love” and “equality.” However, if you don’t agree with their lifestyle, they spread the most hate. It is so hypocritical it makes my stomach turn. They need to learn how to respect others’ opinions and not just jump to the conclusion that everyone who doesn’t support homosexuality and gay marriage is homophobic.

They take the easy way out every time anyone speaks out about their beliefs on the Bible.

If I were Duck Dynasty, I would take my show to another channel.

So much disrespect.

For the record, I’m undecided on whether or not I think Phil actually is homophobic, although I certainly think his statement was offensive, and not only to the LGBT community. But I also think that if I were to spend a day calling ducks with Phil, I’d probably end up liking him — even in spite of his position on gay men. It’s quite possible to throw one’s political support behind traditional, heterosexual marriage, and yet not be bigoted.

I’m reminded of something Bill Maher said during the height of the Paula Deen controversy: “Do we always have to make people go away?” I think the question applies in this situation too.

Why is our go-to political strategy for beating our opponents to silence them? Why do we dismiss, rather than engage them? One of the biggest pop-culture icons of today just took center stage to “educate” us about sexuality. I see this as an opportunity to further the discussion, to challenge his limited understanding of human desire, to engage with him and his rather sizable audience — most of whom, by the way, probably share his views — and to rise above the endless sea of tweet-hate to help move our LGBT conversations to where they need to go.

G.K. Chesterton said that bigotry is “an incapacity to conceive seriously the alternative to a proposition.” If he is right — and he usually is — then I wonder if the Duck Dynasty fiasco says more about our bigotry than Phil’s.


Of course, I don’t agree with everything he writes, but I do think we should elevate the conversation, stand for free speech, and let people hold beliefs that you might make you uncomfortable.
It’s what freedom sometimes feels like.

MIAMI — Dwyane Wade, 31, enlisted some help with his proposal to Gabrielle Union, 41.

The three boys that the Miami Heat guard is raising, his two sons and a nephew, all were part of the engagement surprise, Wade said Sunday when he spoke out about the big news for the first time.

– His youngest son Zion held a sign with her name.

– His nephew Dahveon Morris’ sign said “Will you.”

– And his oldest son Zaire’s sign read “marry us?”

Bewildered, Union turned to Wade and saw him on bended knee, then realized what was happening. An 8 1/2-carat cushion cut diamond sealed the deal, and with that, Wade was an engaged man again.

“I planned it,” Wade said. “No concrete for my knee. I planned it very well.”

Wade told The Associated Press that no date for the wedding has been set, but expects it to occur in September 2014. He also said he’s been working on finding the right ring since October, around the time that the Heat returned from training camp in the Bahamas.

He met with his jeweler several times in the last three months just to make sure everything was right.

“I kind of know my lady,” Wade said. “I know she’s simple, but at the same time, I just wanted the rock to kind of speak for itself and not do too much with the diamonds. I think it’s a simple ring, but it’s nice. It was nicely done … it’s timeless.”

The proposal came Saturday afternoon inside the house that the couple has been building for months. It wasn’t exactly a surprise for either — Union has been considered part of the family for some time, but the timing of the actual proposal caught the 41-year-old star of films such as “Bring It On” and “Think Like A Man,” along with the BET series “Being Mary Jane,” decidedly off-guard.

“Just a regular Saturday,” Wade said. “My kids were involved in it. We asked her to marry all of us, not just me. We’re a package deal, so it was cool.”

On Sunday, Union wrote on Twitter that she was still “floatin” over the big news.

“I was truly caught off guard but happy nonetheless,” Union wrote.

Some teammates were also surprised by the news, which became public Saturday night when the couple turned to Twitter, Instagram and Facebook to make the announcements. Wade and Union showed off the ring at a team Christmas party a few hours after the proposal, and fellow Heat star LeBron James said he knew for a while that the big day was coming.

“It took a lot for him to do it,” said James, a four-time NBA MVP and a longtime friend of Wade’s. “But I think Gab is perfect for him. I think D-Wade is perfect for Gab. For them to be at one now and for their whole family to come together, man, I think it’s amazing. It’s another step for him. I thought it was pretty cool. I’m all for it. I’m happy for them.”

Wade said Union didn’t hesitate in saying yes, though his kids were concerned that she would turn them down. It will be the second marriage for Wade and Union, who have been dating for several years.

While DeShawn Snow, Lisa Wu-Hartwell, Sheree Whitfield and Kim Zolciak have left one by one from seasons one through five, Nene Leakes is revealing why she misses her former co-stars.

"I never thought in a million years that I would say this, but I kind of miss the old girls a little bit," Leakes told Good Morning America recently.

The actress and reality television star revealed why she was thinking about her former co-stars. "The deal is, we started together, and it was a sort of like a journey that we had together, so I miss them in that way," she said on GMA.

Leakes previously insisted that she has had nothing to do with her former cast mates' departures. "I was the first housewife in and I think that's why people assume that. I was the very first housewife and I referred Kim and Sheree and DeShawn Snow; that was season one,".

Leakes seemed proud that she made it through six seasons. "I am the last original housewife standing, so that should tell you a lot," she told radio host Sway Calloway.

The star shared her recipe for success. "Staying true to who I am has brought me so far," Leakes said. "I've never been the type of girl to use people to get where I wanted to go, I probably could have gotten here a lot sooner, I just waited for my time."





Wendy questions whether Kenya really has a man!


After having Kenya Moore on her show earlier this week, Wendy Williams isn’t so sure the star is really in love with a handsome African as she claims.

“My verdict is still out on this one,” said Wendy, whose Facebook friends and show producers raised questions about Kenya’s beau.

“People don’t believe that Kenya really has a boyfriend in Africa. People are thinking Kenya’s lying just to sound like she has a full life with a man,” Wendy said on her show Wednesday.

News of Kenya’s new romance surfaced after her awkward relationship with Walter Jackson ended in front of viewers’ eyes. Shortly thereafter, Kenya started talking about her rich “African prince.” However, she hasn’t identified the man, which has many people skeptical.

“Kenya does seem like the type that if she had a boyfriend, she’d want to parade him around because it took her so long to find real, true love,” reasoned Wendy. “Kenya, do you really have a man?”

According to Kenya, not only is she someone’s girlfriend, but she’s hoping to be a mother soon, too.

“I’m working toward that. As you saw on one of the previous episodes, my aunt is really pushing me in that direction, and I think it’s something that I think will make my life full and complete,” Kenya told Wendy Tuesday.









Porsha fired from RHOA?


Reportedly a mix of “boring” and “annoying” has threatened the reality TV future of Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams.

According to gossip blog MediaTakeOut.com, Porsha was fired by Bravo earlier this week and an announcement will be made about her exit later this week.

Porsha is one of the newer co-stars, having joined the cast last season with Kenya Moore. Since then, she’s become a fan favorite as viewers watched her cope with divorce from ex-husband Kordell Stewart and adjust to single life again.

“I want to express how thankful and appreciative I am of how you all have surrounded me with love and support,” Porsha wrote in her most recent BravoTV.com blog.

While that might sound like a farewell, HollywoodLife.com reports that Bravo execs denied the rumors of Porsha’s departures.

Though NeNe Leakes was once a fan of the idea of kicking Porsha off the show, describing her as fake, she later retracted that. After Porsha’s divorce from Kordell, NeNe and others found Porsha more real.

“I did feel that Porsha…needed to leave the show," NeNe said on Watch What Happens Live earlier this year. “I kept feeling like Porsha and Kordell were not being real enough.”

Of course, Porsha would not be the first cast member to leave the show. Since its premiere, four women have left the series: Sheree Whitfield, DeShawn Snow, Lisa Wu Hartwell and Kim Zolciak.

Porsha has yet to publicly respond to the MTO rumors.

Liam Hemsworth and his father Craig stop for some groceries at a local store together on Sunday (December 22) in Malibu, Calif.

The 23-year-old The Hunger Games: Catching Fire actor and his dad visited a Starbucks before grabbing groceries and carried several large iced coffees with them.

It has been nearly one month since Liam has been spotted out and about – he was last seen at the end of November stopping at a store for a snack.

Liam‘s ex Miley Cyrus recently opened up about their break-up – read her remarks if you haven’t already.

It's nice to know that Britney Spears isn't asking for much for Christmas.

"What do I want Santa to bring me?—I have everything," the pop princess exclusively told me while promoting tonight's premiere of her new E! special, I Am Britney Jean. "I'm so happy. I don't need anything. I just want good health, happiness and love."

Her kids, Sean Preston, 8, and Jayden, 7, are a different story. "They want everything under the sun—iPad Minis, new phones," Spears said. "They act like they're 27 years old. You're eight and seven years old, you can't have an iPad Mini and a phone! They're into gadgets right now. They're into games, computers and all electronic things."

Finding something for boyfriend David Lucado won't be so tough. "David is really easy going," Spears said. "If I just got him a card, he'd be really happy, something simple like that."

So how does Ms. Spears find time to go shopping for Christmas? She is rather busy these days getting ready to open her Las Vegas residency at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on Dec. 27. (Just yesterday, she released the setlist for the show.)

"You always make time to go shopping," she said. "Always."

As for her holidays plans, Spears said, "For Christmas, we'll just have a big family dinner. For New Year's Eve, we'll probably go to a party at [Las Vegas restaurant] Koi."

Don't expect Spears to be cooking on the big nights.

"I'm a horrible cook," she admitted. "I'm not very good. When I try, I could be good, but with the kids, you cook something, you take time out to really make something and then they don't eat it. You're just like, ‘What the heck? What's going on? I spent two hours cooking and you're not even eating it?'"

She's learned to stick to the basics. "They love chicken fingers," Spears said. "Unfortunately, they love anything fried."

Yum.

Eminem got an offer he COULD refuse -- an offer to sing at the NFL Owners Party during Super Bowl week that did not meet his price -- $2 MILLION!
Sources connected to the party tell TMZ ... reps from the event were looking for a headline act for the party that followed the dinner, which will be attended by 1,500 lucky folks. When Eminem's agents laid out the financial terms, we're told the owners group passed.
We're also told the owners were interested in Kanye ... but his fee was too high as well. As one source put it, "It was $1 million, plus plus plus a lot of other perks."
In the end, we're told the group settled on Janelle Monae, who's going for a very reasonable $150K.
There will be a slew of singers performing at various events in NYC during Super Bowl week. We're told DJs are the big thing ... and the big ones are going for between $750K and $1 million.

Charlie Sheen has topped off a charitable year by making a sizeable Christmas donation to help the homeless.

The former Two and a Half Men star has handed $50,000 (£33,333) to My Friend's Place, an organisation which helps homeless young people in Los Angeles.

Charity bosses have sent him a note thanking him for his generous donation, which follows recent gifts to organisations including a Philippines relief fund and an epilepsy charity.
