GENEVA -- Talk show host Oprah Winfrey says she encountered racism while shopping in Switzerland – and the national tourism office agrees.
The media mogul, who is one of the world's richest women, told the U.S. program "Entertainment Tonight" that a shop assistant in Zurich refused to show her a handbag because it was "too expensive" for her.
Forbes magazine estimates that Winfrey earned $77 million in the year ending in June.
A spokeswoman for the Swiss tourism office, Daniela Baer, told The Associated Press on Friday "we are very sorry for what happened to her."
The tourism office also posted an apology on Twitter, saying "this person acted terribly wrong."
Winfrey was in town to attend last month's wedding of longtime pal Tina Turner, who lives in Switzerland.

Celebrity Beauty Products 'Not Good Value For Money'
What do the boys of One Direction, Victoria Beckham, Lindsay Lohan and the Kardashians all have in common? They're all trying to fill your bathroom cabinets with their beauty products -- and they're pretty much succeeding, whether you like it or not.
According to a new survey conducted by www.VoucherCodesPro.co.uk, 53 percent of respondents admitted to purchasing a product from a celebrity beauty line, while 52 percent reported that these star-backed goods are "not good value for money." The 2,003 British women surveyed said that these lines were either "poor quality," too expensive or just plain old disappointing. So why do celebs keep pushing out new (most-likely mediocre) products and what draws us to keep buying?

Since 87 percent of respondents admitted to preferring lines backed by celebrities they actually liked, it makes sense that folks like Iman, Jennifer Lopez and Cindy Crawford are running booming eponymous beauty businesses (who doesn't want to look like these ladies?). But what can explain the success of Justin Bieber's nail polish collection or Paris Hilton's line of hair extensions?

We've certainly contemplated purchasing Miranda Kerr's organic products or gifting the men in our lives one of David Beckham's colognes, but something has stopped us from taking the celebrity beauty line plunge. But if these new survey results paint an accurate picture of their quality (or lack thereof), then perhaps our hesitation has been warranted.

Robin Thicke: 'I want to do Christmas, country, gospel albums'
Robin Thicke has revealed hopes to record three different styles of albums.
The 'Blurred Lines' singer expressed his desire to record a Christmas-themed LP, along with albums dedicated to country and gospel music.
Following the huge success of his collaboration with Pharrell Williams and TI, he told The AP: "I want to get right in the studio.
"I want to make a country album, a Christmas album, a gospel album. I'm like, 'Finally!' I'm ready to make four albums right now."
Thicke also revealed how his record company were not fond of 'Blurred Lines' upon first listen.
When asked if it sounded like a hit, he said: "It did to me, and then I went into the record label and I played it for the heads of the label, head of pop radio... and everybody just went, 'Nice. Nice'.
"It got no response, I was kind of surprised by that. A few months later I went back in, played it again, like, 'I think we have enough records here. I think we've got four or five really strong singles - or at least four or five options for singles'."

Victoria Beckham Giggles As Son Romeo Morphs Into Karl Lagerfeld
Victoria Beckham was tickled when her son Romeo morphed into legendary fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld in a hilarious new mocked-up image shared by the former Spice Girl on Twitter.
Posting the slightly creepy snap on her account, mum-of-four Victoria wrote: "I can't stop laughing right now, genius! x". In the drawing, 12-year-old Romeo's cute little face is seen peeking out from underneath Karl's signature white ponytail and dark shades while his tiny photoshopped head perches atop the eccentric Chanel designer's familiar monochromed shoulders.
It's not known who created the bizarre image, but the caption underneath which reads "Romeo Who?" presumably refers to Lagerfeld's favourite "Karl Who?" tote bag. Could we be seeing a series of Romeo Lagerfeld shoppers swinging from VB and her pals' shoulders on their next spending spree? We certainly hope so...
We're sure the 79-year-old German fashion legend won't mind being associated with mini model-in-the-making Romeo, either. Karl once described Victoria and David's middle son as "handsome, cute and polite" after Romeo made a name for himself in the fashionsphere as the face of Burberry last year.
Now that he's bonded with the big dog, we predict that Romeo will be rocking the Chanel catwalk next...

Ceelo Green: "Usher don't do, what I do..To be honest, I don't know how hot it was, in comparison"
Cee Lo Green is feeling "no pressure" coming back to his "Voice" swivel chair for season five.
"To be honest, I don't know how hot it was, in comparison," Green said. "I really do believe that in like all honesty that the original chemistry and cast is incomparable and irreplaceable," referring to the original foursome that includes Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton.
While Usher was touted for his charm and unorthodox coaching techniques, including making his team sing while boxing to build stamina, Green says, "I don't really feel no pressure because I'm bringing my own brand of personality and entertainment and, you know what I'm saying like, eccentricity and all of that kind of, all that good stuff back into the mix of it."
The "Forget You" singer became known on the show for selecting out-of-the-box artists to join his team, his affinity for pretty girls, and his unique pets including Purrfect the cat and his pink parrot, both of whom he stroked during confessionals.
According to Green, there is no competition between him and the R&B crooner, "Usher don't do what I do ... from my recollection there's an awful lot of variety of people who miss what I brought to the show but if I'd had shared that seat with anybody it would've been Usher ... That's our baby brother."
With the success of all six coaches, "The Voice" producers have decided to swap coaches season-to-season. While Levine and Shelton remain permanent fixtures, Green and Xtina will coach during season five and Usher, Shakira will return for season six, a plan Green calls "pretty doable."
Season five of "The Voice" is set to premiere September 23.

AMANDA BYNES DOCTORS GET EMERGENCY CONSERVATORSHIP SHE'S 'GRAVELY DISABLED'
Amanda Bynes has just been placed on an extended, 30-day psychiatric hold ... and the people responsible for making that happen were not her parents -- they were her doctors ... TMZ has learned.
Sources tell us ... doctors at the psychiatric hospital where Amanda has been held for the last 2 week determined she was not well enough to leave the hospital to attend today's hearing -- where her parents are trying to win a temporary conservatorship.
We're told doctors went to a judge who traveled to the hospital to conduct an emergency hearing. The judge granted the doctors' request, and extended Amanda's psych hold for 30 days.
According to the law, doctors can only get such an order if the patient is "gravely disabled as a result of a mental disorder."
Amanda's parents will still pursue the temporary conservatorship, we've learned, because it will stay in effect until Sept. 30th. And the conservatorship would allow her parents to control Amanda's finances.

Cara Delevingne is said to have auditioned for the film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey…
Ever since the film rights were sold, the question of who will star in the Fifty Shades of Grey movie has never been far from everybody’s lips.
To date, numerous high profile actors have had their names linked to the film, including Emma Watson and Robert Pattinson, although none have so far been confirmed as cast members.
Now a new name has been thrown into the rumour mill: Cara Delevingne. The model, who turns 21 on Monday, has reportedly auditioned for a supporting role in the upcoming movie adaptation of E.L. James’s bestselling novel.
Cara has made no secret of her acting aspirations: last year she acted alongside Keira Knightley and Jude Law in Anna Karenina, and filming for British drama Kids In Love is about to start, in which she also allegedly has a role.
It was on the set of Anna Karenina that Cara met Aaron Taylor Johnson, whose wife Sam Taylor Wood was recently announced as the director of yet-to-be-shot Fifty Shades film. A source has said that ‘Sam wants Cara in the movie – though which part exactly hasn’t been established.'
So, could 2014 be an even busier year for Cara? We don’t know where she finds the time…

He has been very open about his visits to see a counselor, which help him through everyday life.
“I’m not ready for the loony bin, but therapy helps me, because my job is very emotional. I manipulate my feelings for money and it often leaves me confused,” he admitted.
Jesse’s career is going from strength to strength since appearing in The Social Network. While things may have worked out, he had no set idea about how to get started in Hollywood.

Lena Headey talks nudity and Cersei in GOT Season 4
Headey is now a bona fide superstar of the biggest (or cultiest) TV drama of the times. Cersei is an extraordinary blend of pitiless hauteur and desperate, motherly vulnerability. Towards her enemies she appears a cold and heartless she-wolf. She is fiercely protective of her eldest son, the monstrous King Joffrey. She is engaged in an incestuous affair with one of her brothers, Jaime Lannister, and locked in a poisonous rivalry with the other, Tyrion, a sharp-tongued, sybaritic dwarf played with aplomb by Headey’s great friend Peter Dinklage. It was Dinklage who originally encouraged her to read for the role, and the show’s co-creators, David Benioff and DB Weiss, who cast her. How did you convince them, I ask. ‘I had sex with both of them.’ Together? ‘No, separately; I didn’t think it was fair.’ On whom? ‘On them! Hee hee hee.’
In a sense, there is more interaction with fans than the rest of the cast. Given the nature of Game of Thrones’ sprawling story, filmed in six-month blocks in locations from Croatia to Iceland, many of the stars never work together. Some never even meet. This season Headey will work more closely with Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who plays her lover-brother Jaime. ‘The relationship is complicated. There’s love, but I don’t know where it sits any more.’ She checks herself. ‘But I can’t say too much.’
Neither, alas, can she say too much about the rumour that one cast member (generally thought to be Clarke) is fed up with taking her clothes off and doesn’t want to do any more nude scenes. ‘I don’t know who it was, I have no idea. I’ve heard no internal… anything.’ But on Cersei’s nudity — or lack of it, since she is one of the few characters in the show whose clothes have so far refused to fall off — Headey is more forthcoming. In the first series she was pregnant with her son Wylie, now three. As the filming progressed it became increasingly troublesome to squeeze her bump into the tight corset that is a staple of her costume, let alone get her kit off, and she remained fully clothed in the incest scene that kicked off season one. ‘The camera was moving up and up every day, until by the end of the shoot all you saw was my face,’ she says.
In a sense, though, that’s neither here nor there because, says Headey, getting naked has not hitherto been a part of Cersei’s journey.‘I have this theory about her keeping her clothes on. I think all along there’s a regality to her that is really protected by being clothed. She’s chosen not to disrobe. And when she does, it’ll be beyond her control.’ Those who have read the books will understand what she means.
Eventually we pull up at Titanic Studios in Belfast, right on time for her duties on set. She skips off the bus, beanie pulled down and kisses all round. Shortly the long blonde wig will be fitted and the delightful, puckish Lena Headey will become the statuesque Queen Cersei. Quite a transformation. Just before leaving, she whispers the scene that she’s filming tomorrow. Crumbs. I promise not to tell: the first rule of Game of Thrones is ‘no spoilers’. But it will certainly be worth the wait.

Following this morning's threat of a leak, M.I.A.'s long-delayed new album Matangi has a new release date. The follow-up to 2010's /\/\/\Y/\ is due November 5 via Interscope.
News about Matangi has been trickling out for over a year. She's shared a handful of new songs: the single "Bring the Noize", "Only 1 U", "Come Walk With Me", "Doobie", "atTENTtion", and an eight-minute mix called MATANGI for a Paris fashion show. Last year, she described the album's music as "paul simon on acid", though later, she said that the album was delayed for being "too positive".
It gets its name from M.I.A.'s real first name, Mathangi. Here's what she said about the album title:

She's shared a handful of new songs: the single "Bring the Noize", "Only 1 U", "Come Walk With Me", "Doobie", "atTENTtion", and an eight-minute mix called MATANGI for a Paris fashion show. Last year, she described the album's music as "paul simon on acid", though later, she said that the album was delayed for being "too positive".
It gets its name from M.I.A.'s real first name, Mathangi. Here's what she said about the album title:
"When I went to India, I was looking on Google for stuff that was the color of a certain green, and that's when this green goddess, Matangi, popped up. I was like, that's weird, the whole time I've been alive on this planet, my mom never mentioned where my name came from. Matangi was the goddess of knowledge and the arts--music, art, dancing, spoken word. When they invented this mythology 4,000 years ago, the concept of someone being about all those things was normal."
