Diane Kruger is just as comfortable making a stylish turn at the supermarket as she is at a red carpet event.
The German actress showed off her star quality when she wore a typically well put together ensemble for a trip to Whole Foods.
The Troy star wore a pair of loose fitting denim dungarees and a straw trilby for the visit to the Los Angeles supermarket.

Diane had her hair tied back in a low, messy bun, and hid her eyes behind a pair of large sunglasses.
She was joined on the errand by her long term partner, ex-Dawson's Creek actor Joshua Jackson.
The couple have lately been travelling to different events and US cities together as Diane promotes her new film, The Host.

Kevin (well)Fed-erline talks Brit's new bf

Britney Spears has reportedly been warned to "slow things down" with her new boyfriend.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Spears married Kevin Federline in 2004 and together they have sons Sean and Jayden James.

The couple divorced in 2007 and since then Spears has been engaged to Jason Trawick (since then? Gurl...), who she split from at the beginning of this year.

The pop star is now dating legal firm researcher Dave Lucado (David ?) and over-Fed-erline is reportedly concerned about their fast-moving relationship.

"Kevin doesn't want the kids to think that any man that Britney dates will ever replace him as a father (round) figure," a source explained to British magazine Star.

"This is the second man she has had staying at her house and he fears it could upset the children... Ultimately he has Brit and their kids' best interests at heart but he thinks she is diving in too soon with Dave and she needs to slow down."

Spears and her new beau were first spotted together in February, when they enjoyed a Valentine's Day date together.

The troubled singer seems to be in a good place and has even settled her differences with Kevin in order to co-parent their boys.

It is thought that the Popozao singer may have raised the issue of Britney's new relationship while spending time with their kids together.

"They have had more time to chat at their boys' soccer games recently and Kevin told her he isn't happy about her bringing in another man to their lives so soon after Jason," the insider continued.

"Kevin is conscious of the impact it will have on their lives and wants their upbringing to be as stable as possible."

Shameless Season Finale Review: Changing Lives

$

0

At times Shameless Season 3 has been up and down in terms of story and direction, but "Survival of the Fittest" put past concerns to bed with a superb, and emotional, season finale.

Perhaps the biggest change of course is Frank as a likeable human being. We’ve been privy to glimpses of Frank actually being a father to the kids in the past, but all of it ends up being for a con he’s trying to pull. None of us have any doubts that Frank’s ultimate Achilles’ heel would end up being his drinking. The only lingering doubt is when his drinking would catch up with him, and what the aftermath would be for him.

Tonight it finally happened, Frank’s drinking did catch up with him, and if he doesn’t go cold turkey he’s a goner.
Frank’s very real and sudden shock of death might not be enough to pull him completely out of a beer bottle – because we have no idea where he’s walking off to, it could very easily be a bar– but at the very least Frank is a father in the best way he knows how to be. His scenes with Lip are oddly touching, he’s very visibly proud that one of his kids got through high school.

Throughout the season we’ve also witnessed Frank and Carl become close, and when Carl shaves Frank’s head so he can get better just like he did with his “cancer.” It’s a very Shameless scene, but it’s also a wonderfully emotional one too. Frank has no qualms about his head being shaved, praises Carl, and takes comfort in it as he leans his head back.

Frank’s field trip to somewhere is the first of many questions we’re left with. Jimmy is still very much out of the picture, and if we’re optimistic thinkers still on a boat. With Fiona completely out of the loop with Jimmy’s other life, she’s left worrying and wondering if he’s cut and run or not. While I’ll always wonder why Jimmy just wouldn’t clue Fiona in on his other life – the Gallaghers are experts are getting out of jams – in the end it’s a necessary contrivance.

Fiona is constantly putting her family ahead of herself, and she continues to do so, but she’s also been undergoing a process of trying to find her own place and figuring out her own future. With Jimmy’s final sendoff to her coming in the form of cash, Fiona is able to better her own circumstances by getting herself promoted to the sales department, and she’s able to give Jimmy one final voicemail telling him goodbye.
The final question is Ian’s next move. He’s impersonating Lip to join the army, and Lip now has a scholarship to MIT. It’s bound to come out quickly that Lip can’t be in two places at once, and it can easily spell a quick end to Ian’s dreams of being in the army.

It’s a good thing Shameless Season 4 is happening.

A Few More Thoughts:
V’s mom being pregnant from the first week is so creepy.
Loved Ian and Mickey’s scene together, and Mandy’s verbalization of what we’re all thinking.
Lip’s waffling between Mandy and Karen is giving me whiplash. One minute he’s getting down and dirty with Mandy, and the next he hates her guts. I suppose it took getting an acceptance letter to really put into focus the extremes she’s gone to to get Lip out of poverty and make something of himself.

Elsa Pataky says her husband Chris Hemsworth and his brothers Luke and Liam ''take care of'' women, despite their "tough and manly" images.

Chris and Liam Hemsworth "know how to take care of women".

While the brothers are renowned for their action roles on screen, Chris' wife Elsa Pataky insists they are big softies and a credit to the way they were raised.

She said: "Chris, Liam and their brother Luke are tough and manly but they really know how to take care of women. Their mom did a great job with them."

Elsa - who has 10-month-old daughter India Rose with Chris - also revealed her favourite compliment from her hunky husband is when he compliments her smile.

She told People magazine: "He says I'm always smiling. That's what he likes the most."

'The Avengers' actor Chris recently joked he was like a "daughter" to his mother because he was so sensitive when he was younger.

He said: "My mum would probably say, 'Chris was always the daughter out of my three boys'. I was just far better at talking to my mum about things, while my brothers kept stuff to themselves."

"Lord Bell said: "It is with great sadness that Mark and Carol Thatcher announced that their mother Baroness Thatcher died peacefully following a stroke this morning."

Baroness Thatcher was Conservative prime minister from 1979 to 1990.

She was the first woman to hold the post. Her family is expected to make a further statement later.

Baroness Thatcher, born Margaret Roberts, became the Conservative MP for Finchley, north London in 1959, retiring from the Commons in 1992.

Having been education secretary, she successfully challenged former prime minister Edward Heath for her party's leadership in 1975.

She won general elections in 1979, 1983 and 1987.

Baroness Thatcher's government privatised several state-owned industries. She was also in power when the UK went to war with Argentina over the Falkland Islands in 1982."

I'm sorry for her family, let's maybe try to be a little respectful? Okay, this is ONTD, nvm.

Taylor covers Wonderland magazine

Heartbreak kid Taylor Swift says she has no direction after her break up with One Direction’s Harry Styles.

The serial celeb dater admits dreams of wedding bells and babies are all up in the air after hinting she was partly to blame for the fall of her latest high profile romance back in January.

‘If you go through life needing to feel like the good guy all the time, you’re just delusional,’ said the US songbird.

Hinting she and Hazza were stuck on amber, she continued: ‘Relationships are like traffic lights. And I just have this theory that I can only exist in a relationship if it’s a green light.’

Now, the We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together singer reveals how she has been cast adrift.

‘I’ve kind of realised that I have no idea where I’m going to be next year, or in six months, or in two months,’ the 23-year-old told Wonderland magazine.

‘I mean, I know where I’ll be on tour in two months, but no idea where I’m going to be mentally, emotionally, dreams, goals, wishes, hopes. I have no idea if I’m going to get married or be single forever or have a family or just be on my own. You know, paint in a cottage by the ocean by myself. I just have no idea and I’m kind of into that.’

Talking about heartbreak the star said: ‘It’s very complex; you’re never feeling just sad. Maybe you wake up and you feel sad, and then you get angry, and then you feel like ‘I’m fine’, and then you feel confident, and then you feel a sense of doubt, and then you’re insecure, and then there’s jealousy, and then you’re back to sad – and then you feel fine again.’

For now, the singer hopes the next surprise that 2013 dishes up is a good one.

‘So even if, you know, you go through difficult things, hard things, unexpected things that kind of knock you over for a second, I think the year 2013, that has to mean that things are happening for a reason, right?’

Michael B. Jordan Signs Up For 'Pretenders'

Fresh off the big splash that Fruitvale made at the Sundance Film Festival in January (which The Weinstein Company picked up for a July release), Michael B. Jordan has secured a role in director Josh Boone's 3rd feature titled Pretenders.

Boone announced Jordan's casting on his Twitter page this afternoon, adding to a cast the already includes Anton Yelchin and Imogen Poots.

No plot details available yet for Pretenders, unfortunately.

Director Boone's first feature, Stuck in Love, starring Kristen Bell, Logan Lerman, Jennifer Connelly, Greg Kinnear and others, premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival last fall, and is set to be released in USA theaters in June.

He's currently in pre-production on his second feature, an adaptation of the young adult novel The Fault in Our Stars, with Shailene Woodley starring and Fox distributing. Pretenders will follow after that project.

Up next for Michael B. Jordan, in addition to Fruitvale, is the ensemble romcom Are We Officially Dating?, which he'll star in alongside Zac Efron and Imogen Poots again.

Writing and directed by Tom Gormican (his feature film directorial debut), the film centers on 3 New York bachelors who make a pact to stay single even if they fall in love. Jordan will play one of the 3 dudes.

Stop Crying Racism At Hollywood Says Antoine Fuqua; 'Put In The Work'

$

“I wouldn’t use the term racist, as much as I would say the playing field is not even in Hollywood. But ultimately, you have to put in the work [...] It’s very easy to cry racism when you’re not qualified to do the work or your work isn’t transcending to where you want it to be. Hollywood is a business and you have to look at it that way [...] I do see other things – like people who don’t understand or are ignorant to our culture. But I wouldn’t call them racist. If anything, it’s our job to expand their minds to our experience [...] There are no African Americans that run major studios and most of the executives at the top level are not African American. So when the people in those jobs are developing stories, nine times out of 10, their stories won’t be about African Americans – they’ll be about people who look like themselves. To say that those people are racist is not necessarily the case [...] 99.9 per cent of the people that have given me my opportunities in this business were not African American [...] Denzel [Washington] gave me a great opportunity when we did Training Day together, and I also became friends with Mr Sidney Poitier, who has given me great counsel and advice. But in terms of people in the studio system, most of the people who have given me my jobs were not African American. So I can’t sit back and say Hollywood is racist.”

Words from director Antoine Fuqua while doing press in the UK where his latest effort, Olympus Has Fallen, which is set to be released in theaters there this week. Apparently he was asked whether he felt the American studio system was a racist one, likely in regards to the dearth of black talents in front of and behind the camera.

The above is from a teaser interview with The Voice (UK), who promise that the full exclusive interview with Fuqua will be posted on April 11.

'The Carrie Diaries': Where Will The Young Carrie Bradshaw Go From Here?

$

carrie-diaries-star-says-don-t-compare-show-to-sex-and-the-city
Note: Do not read on if you have not yet seen Season 1, Episode 13 of The CW's "The Carrie Diaries," titled "Kiss Yesterday Goodbye."
The first season of "The Carrie Diaries" has come to a close. Leading up to the pilot, I scoffed at the idea of a "Sex and the City" prequel and dismissed it as a sham before I watched a single episode. When "The Carrie Diaries" premiered, I found myself pleasantly surprised and particularly excited by AnnaSophia Robb's portrayal of a young Carrie Bradshaw. It definitely wasn't "Sex and the City." But a show about an over-analytical teenager who wants to be a writer and finds herself obsessed with love, fashion and New York City seemed like an hour worth watching week after week. Thirteen episodes later, I am not dismissing the series, but find myself ultimately unimpressed with its first season.
Despite the pilot's positive reviews, the show experienced low ratings for weeks, struggling to find an audience at 8 p.m. on Monday nights. This was due in part to ABC's "The Bachelor" competing in the same timeslot for part of the season. Though it boasted steady online streaming views (it's offered on The CW's website for free), "The Carrie Diaries" didn't seem to hit its stride at any point throughout the season.
There were more mediocre characters than compelling ones. I could have done without Maggie and Mouse (Carrie's two best friends) and their respective story lines. I also could have skipped Carrie's short-lived relationship with George and his awful father Harlan. If the show gets renewed for a second season, I hope the writers quite literally write off the aforementioned characters, and focus instead on Carrie, her family, Sebastian and Walt.
Based on the show's final episode, it seems like that could happen. Season 1 ended with Carrie and Walt moving into the city together for their summer vacation. They are housesitting for Larissa, who is spending the summer overseas learning to be a geisha. Sebastian and Carrie are once again at odds because he drunkenly made out with Maggie. The silver lining here is that Carrie and Maggie have a huge fight, which makes it seem as though Maggie's future on the show is unlikely (phew). Maggie also calls Walt "disgusting" when she finds out he's gay -- another reason why she probably won't be around.
In a cute but predictable twist, Carrie's dad and sister find happiness, love and sex. Though Carrie ends the first season a virgin, Dorrit sleeps with her boyfriend, Miller. Tom is dating a single mother in the neighborhood, spending what seems like countless hours bonding with her bed.
Walt officially comes out of the closet with the help of Carrie's Interview magazine colleague, Bennet. Carrie and Sebastian broke up and got back together twice in this episode alone, and I found myself reaching my limit with their on-again-off-again relationship. As the show waits to hear if it's renewed for a second season, I am curious to see how show writers will write Sebastian into Carrie and Walt's summer life in the city. Or, will the second season pick up at the beginning of senior year of high school, with Carrie and Sebastian returning to speaking terms from an eight week hiatus?
Overall, "The Carrie Diaries" suffered because each episode failed to be greater than the sum of its parts. As I watched from week to week, I found myself perplexed as to why I liked most of the actors, the writing, the production design, the music, and the wardrobe; but I was dissatisfied each time the credits rolled. While the individual aspects seemed sufficient alone, none of the composite episodes really gelled. I firmly believe "The Carrie Diaries" makes sense for the CW and is a natural fit for younger viewers who miss shows like "Gossip Girl," but right now, the series rings hollow.
What did you think of Season 1 of "The Carrie Diaries"? Are you hoping it gets renewed?
