Britney will see Shania Twain’s “Still The One” show at The Colosseum inside Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas this week, reports Norm Clarke in Sunday’s Las Vegas Review Journal.
Awesome idea, because the show and Shania are phenomenal! Good idea for Britney to socialize with her fellow Vegas legends.

Britney (who’s bringing her boys along) will arrive in sin city at the end of the week to walk through the PH Live venue, and announce her residency.

'Doctor Who' new episodes: Titles, posters, and plot info revealed

When I was a kid growing up in the U.K. during the ’70s and ’80s, the first time I knew much at all about what was going to happen on Doctor Who tended to be when I adopted the traditional crouching-behind-the-couch position on Saturday evenings and watched the actual show. Needless to say, things have changed a bit publicity-wise since then.

Yesterday, EW.com exclusively debuted the trailer for the eight new BBC-America shows, the first of which premieres on March 30. And today, the Who folks have confirmed the titles of and released movie-style posters for the first four episodes, which you can see below, and also revealed plot details (which you can find at the BBC America website).

The 9-year-old me is very excited about all this. And so is the, technically, more mature me — who is also currently writing next week’s Entertainment Weekly Doctor Who cover feature. Check back in a few days for much more on that.

The Bells of Saint John – Episode 6

The Doctor’s search for Clara Oswald brings him to modern day London, where Wi-Fi is everywhere. Humanity lives in a Wi-Fi soup. But something dangerous is lurking in the signals, picking off minds and imprisoning them. As Clara becomes the target of this insidious menace, the Doctor races to save her and the world from an ancient enemy.

Episode credits: Written by Steven Moffat, directed by Colm McCarthy (‘Ripper Street,’ ‘The Tudors’), and produced by Denise Paul (‘Taggart’).

The Rings of Akhaten – Episode 7

Clara wants to see something awesome, so the Doctor whisks her off to the inhabited rings of the planet Akhaten, where the Festival of Offerings is in full swing. Clara meets the young Queen of Years as the pilgrims and natives ready for the ceremony. But something is stirring in the pyramid, and a sacrifice will be demanded.

Episode credits: Written by Neil Cross (‘Mama,’ ‘Luther’), directed by Farren Blackburn (‘Luther,’ ‘The Fades’) and produced by Denise Paul

Cold War – Episode 8

The Doctor and Clara land on a damaged Russian Submarine in 1983 as it spirals out of control into the ocean depths. An alien creature is loose on board, having escaped from a block of Arctic ice. With tempers flaring and a cargo of nuclear weapons on board, it’s not just the crew but the whole of humanity at stake!

Episode credits: Written by Mark Gatiss (‘Sherlock’) and directed by Douglas Mackinnon (‘Silent Witness’).

Hide – Episode 9

Clara and the Doctor arrive at Caliburn House, a haunted mansion sat alone on a desolate moor. Within its walls, a ghost hunting Professor and a gifted psychic are searching for the Witch of the Well. Her apparition appears throughout the history of the building, but is she really a ghost? And what is chasing her?

Episode credits: Written by Neil Cross and directed by Jamie Payne (‘The Hour,’ ’Call the Midwife’).

Details on episodes 10-13 will be released at a later date.

BRYAN SINGER TALKS MORE X-MEN

X-Men: Days of Future Past director Bryan Singer talks more about how he felt after seeing X-Men: The Last Stand and reiterates his plans to fix a few things (as well as revealing that he liked Ellen Page enough to bring her back for this movie). He also talks about humour in the "inbetweenquel".

We've heard a lot from Bryan Singer about his plans for X-Men: Days of Future Past while he's been doing the rounds promoting Jack the Giant Slayer, but Bleeding Cool managed to get more out of the director in regards to his feelings about Brett Ratner's X-Men: The Last Stand and what the upcoming "inbetweenquel" will do to fix some of the more controversial decisions that were made in that movie. Singer also tells a pretty interesting tale about how he ended up seeing the follow-up to his two X-Men instalments, while also reiterating his plans to fix a few things in X-Men: Days of Future Past. Hopefully that will include bringing back James Marsden as Cyclops...

X-Men 3 was a strange situation for me. I didn’t have anything to do with X-Men 3 or Wolverine except for the actor. I don’t think Brett [Ratner] knows this but I was so emotionally charged up about seeing X-Men 3 that someone who wasn’t supposed to took me into a building in the middle of the night and showed me it long before it was finished, on a computer, just so I could see it, understand what it is and not be freaked out when I went to the theatre to go see it.

[Eventually] I went to the Chinese theatre because I wanted to see it in a big theatre and they let me in, I had a baseball cap on, I hid in the back but suddenly, Brett Ratner shows up. He was like “Bryan!” and suddenly the audience [all see me] and Brett Ratner talking and I’m stood there sipping my soda out of a Superman cup.

There are parts of X-Men 3… it isn’t what I would have done, but parts of it, I liked. Ellen Page was something I liked in X-Men 3 and I’m bringing her to Days of Future Past. Certain things are different. There was a lot going on in it and I wasn’t so happy with so many people dying, but then there were some really sweet moments with that kid, the cure kid.

I said I’ll “fix a few things” [with Days of Future Past]. It won’t be its primary function but there will be some fixing. It’s a really cool story, and incidentally, it facilitates all of these characters. They weren’t just thrown in there. And they all play a fun role. I want there to be some humour and some fun. In Days of Future Past there are some genuinely things in it. I can’t wait, and I know they will be fun to shoot. I want to keep that humour [because] the thing about X-Men is that the themes are serious, but the film doesn’t need to be…

Omarosa & Claudia Jordan battle it out on twitter

Tonight on "The Celebrity Apprentice" fans saw Omarosa leave the challenge to take care of a personal issue. On March 17, Omarosa and Claudia Jordan ended up battling it out on Twitter and they are obviously not fans now.

It started out with this tweet:"Tweeting from MCD's funeral- real classy Some friend! CJ! RT @claudiajordan: @OMAROSA Ha! I'm Shady? HYSTERICAL! I defended you for YEARS." The two are not getting along at all right now.

Claudia Jordan then tweeted something that looked like it was meant for her. She said: "Keep talking & Im going to tell what you REALLY did that disgusted ALL OF US. Editing saved some SOULS! #ThatIsAll #YouKnowYouWrong #Warning."

If only fans could know what went on behind the scenes on this show. It sounds like there is a lot more to the battle between Omarosa and Claudia Jordan but fans may never know what is really going on there. It sounds like these two won't be inviting each other over for dinner anytime soon. Are you shocked to hear that they still don't get along?

"The Celebrity Apprentice" airs on Sundays at 8 p.m. CST each week. Don't miss next week's new episode.

Liam Hemsworth is spending some time in the Philippines to help promote Bench/, a clothing line which he models for. During a Q&A session held yesterday, Liam even shared a few details about Catching Fire! He says that it isn’t an act: Jennifer Lawrence, his ”Hunger Games” and ”Catching Fire” co-star, truly is “amazing.”

“She’s one of the most energetic, fun-loving people I’ve ever met. Working with her on set is just easy because she’s so good and she’s just won all these huge awards so congratulations to her for that. She’s amazing.”

Liam gets “whipped” in “Catching Fire” — literally.

“My character [Gale] gets whipped in this one. So I spent a couple of days on my knees getting whipped, which was pretty horrific. Catching Fire” is turning out to be even better than “The Hunger Games. There’s a whole lot of great stuff in ’Catching Fire.’ The characters are developing more; (director) Francis Lawrence had a whole new take on it.”

Whole transcript can be found HERE

JENNIFER LAWRENCE wants to be a contestant on The Bachelor.

The actress is a big reality TV fan, and she’s so enamored of The Bachelor that she approached the show’s host Chris Harrison at the Oscars and gushed about it. What’s more, she once pleaded with her handlers to try to get her onto the popular ABC dating competition. “Her agent and publicist were aghast,” said a source. “They told her, ‘You don’t want to do this!’ “She said, ‘Yes, I do.’

“They had to talk her out of it.”

Wes Anderson and Roman Coppola Made a Prada Film

Sofia‘s no longer the only Coppola making cute fashion films for high end labels. Roman has now gotten into the game with a little help from Wes Anderson, whose feature films are so stylized, they’re practically fashion films themselves.

To promote its new fragrance Prada Candy L’eau, Prada tapped Coppola, Anderson and french actress/model Lea Seydoux (who became our collective girl crush in the first Prada Candy commercial) for a new film.

In a short teaser, which is giving us Bande à part vibes, we learn Seydoux’s characters name. You’ll never guess what it is.

Even if 12 seconds isn’t much to go on, we’re pretty confident the final product is going to be perfect. We’d expect nothing less from the duo who brought us Moonrise Kingdom.

Would You Wear This "Lena Denim" Dress?

$

Because if you did, it would maybe be worth it (or at least justifiable) for the pun value alone. So that was pretty clever on ModCloth's part. Everyone (I think?) loves a good pun. But you know what everyone doesn't love? A denim dress. Universally unflattering, but also, for dress fabric, denim moves really weirdly and is pretty uncomfortable. It's understandable, given that there aren't a lot of good fabrics that rhyme with "Dunham," but still. Maybe gingham? I don't know. The point is, denim is the worst. Which, when you think about it, is exactly why Hannah Horvath would wear this in a heartbeat.

The cut also looks a whole lot like most of the dresses Dunham wears on the show, so again, pretty well played here. Surprisingly nice work for a garment that largely exists on the strength of a pun. The promotional materials are less stellar:

"Becoming the voice of your generation - or, perhaps, “a” generation - is all about expressing yourself. Why not let your wardrobe in on the fun? When you’re not proving your high-fashion prowess in awards-show-stopping gowns, let this denim design flaunt your free-spirited style with unpretentious perfection. Wear this collared dress atop your coolest short-sleeved graphic tee - the screen-printed portrait of your fave hip-hop star subtly peeking out from above the two stone-brown buttons. Cast a seafoam shoulder bag, black over-the-knee socks, and some lace-up booties alongside this playful piece, and snap a selfie to share with your best girls. Whether it’s with neon mesh marvels or laidback beauties such as this dress, you’re always making a fun, fresh statement!"

Huh. All the stuff about "selfies" and "free-spirited style" is... a little much. What really concerns me, though, is the part about the "screen-printed portrait of your fave hip hop star." Are we really dancing on the edge of another conversation about Girls and hip hop and/or race and/or cultural appropriation? If so, I'm going home.

Is Bill going to cheat on Katie with Brooke?

After making a grand entrance Brooke's Bedroom line is on top of the world. As Brooke as the spokesperson she finally gets the last laugh on Taylor. Look for Brooke to use it to the max to gain control of Forresters again and Brooke is making it known by giving press conferences and hiring new people. Brooke is in her element as she shows just how powerful and popular she still is.

Things really get tense between Katie and Bill as she tries to believe him when he said nothing happened between him and Brooke despite her walking in on the two in a compromising situation.

Rick and Maya get closer as she finally decides to give the Forrester heir a chance, but this time, no more secrets. Caroline doesn't cotton to that too well and she lets Maya have a warning. Something tells me the little spoiled rich girl needs to watch what she does and says around a street smart girl from the 'hood.

We'll have a wedding in a few weeks and it's not going to be who you think it is. Let's just say this one should bring some tears.

It saddens me this new regime are going backwards with Michael and Lauren. Why do writers and TPTB not appreciate that a couple can be happy? Yes yes I know boring but can't we have one couple happy?

Could Alex and Adrianna be playing Kay, who seems to be forgetting things. Does Paul even have a clue this might be happening?

Glad to see Paul has a new story coming, but Police Chief? Wasn't he in jail for murder not long ago. I hope this new job means more screen time for him. Wonder if he will be retiring that briefcase.

So much build to Nikki and Victor's wedding they get married but the wedding reception is still going on a week later? Y&R only airs three days this week because of NCAA basketball. But even that is quite a long time to focus on a wedding/reception. Oh yea right it's Nikki and Victor.

DOOL has fallen flat on its face and I for one have been very very bored, there seems to be nothing that is exciting. What happened to this show? Brady has had enough of his parents butting into his life and tells them to back off. This will cause trouble in paradise for Marlena and John. Gee no surprise there. So what does Brady do? Proposes to Kristen. Really dude? Kristen who is more then thrilled causes more distance between Brady and his Dad. John is one not to let it go and is very strong minded than ever to break Kristen’s hold over his son and will not let this slide. But how far will he go to succeed in his mission?

Nick's mouth gets him in deep dodo when he makes a smart remark and gets him a right hook straight to his fave. Better think twice my man before calling someone names.

Is there a new man coming into Nicole's life?

The Nurse's Ball is gearing up and it has started taping scenes already. You will be watching more then just the ball when other events happen in and outside of the event. The action behind the stage will hold a deadly nature. I do hear "The Ice Princess" revisit is gearing up, and since Julie Berman has left the building in order to make the transition easier for viewers Lulu will go missing, but before that actually happens another package arrives for Lulu that her Aunt Bobbie allegedly sent, but Luke and Lulu are skeptical. Meanwhile at GH, Olivia has a vision and urges Dante to go home. Lulu ends up mysteriously gone, and just about everybody comes together at the loft to mount a search strategy to look for Lulu. Not sure how long Lulu will be missing but when she does return she will be played by Emme Rylan.

Sam decides to go searching for her biological father because she is missing Jason and realizing Danny will grow up without his father, RC is committed to resolve the mystery of Sam's father and that reveal is coming. There will be at least two characters who know the true identity of Sam's father. I am guessing Helena is one.

Dr. Britt Westbourne is in for a huge scolding when Britt finally faces the wrath of Epiphany, as the true extent of her plans against Sabrina are laid out in full and gloriously damning relief. Epiphany, being no fool, had the entire incident investigated by Spinelli.

Sources tell me that Johnny goes out a redeemed hero and BB is very satisfied with this exit, he saves Kristina at Pentonville and if I am hearing correctly she decides to leave town after.

The tale of the two long lost Quartermaines is staring to make waves.

What if Dr. Britt meets up with a doc from Switzerland? What can she use to make Sabrina's life more miserable?

What could happen that could finally give Anna back her fighting spirit?

CPAC: Where Ashley Judd Rape Jokes Happen

$
0
0

Possible Kentucky Senate candidate Ashley Judd has an "unnerving""obsession" with rape, according to a conservative comedian who performed at the Conservative Political Action Conference on Saturday. Fox News contributor Steven Crowder was winding up his monologue from CPAC's main stage when he decided to mock Judd's suggestion that people who use high-tech appliances (herself included) are indirectly contributing to human rights abuses:

By the way, in breaking news, Ashley Judd just tweeted that buying Apple products, again, is akin to rape. From her iPhone. Rape—now she knows how my brain felt after Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood. Oh, she said it. What is this obsession with Ashley Judd and rape? It's pretty unnerving.

Here's one reason why Ashley Judd talks about rape a lot: She is, in her own words, "a three-time survivor of rape." (I didn't have to look very hard for that; she talked about it at length in a nationally televised public appearance last month.) Talking about it is not just part of the recovery process—Judd feels it's her obligation: "I gave that shame back, and it's my job to break my isolation and talk with other girls and other women." That's also, not coincidentally, a large part of what she does internationally as a public health activist. There is literally a chapter in her memoir called "The Republic of Rape." It's about the Democratic of Republic of Congo, of which she has reported, "100 percent of the women I had interviewed had been gang-raped multiple times by armed militia."

On top of all of this, the original joke doesn't even make sense. Crowder's punch-line is that Judd is oblivious to the obvious hypocrisy of condemning Apple products while using them. What an idiot! But Judd's comments came in a long essay (not a tweet) about the angst she felt about using products that came from conflict zones.

Given the physical and emotional trauma experienced by countless women on a daily basis, it's not especially surprising that Judd is "obsessed" with rape; the better question is why Steven Crowder isn't.

i know this the least of anyone's priorities when it comes to political affiliations, but progressives >>>>>> conservatives just cuz our comedians are better. look at how threatened they are when she hasn't announced her run.
