Wife Swap: Kate Gosselin Says Kendra Wilkinson Doesn’t Care About Her Family

0
0

On the season premiere of ‘Celebrity Wife Swap,’ Kate is overwhelmed with how much free time (and girls’ nights out) Kendra has, while Kendra nearly loses one of Kate’s kids on a surprise family outing! Read on for the full recap.

Kendra Wilkinson and Kate Gosselin seemingly have a lot in common — they were both featured on their own reality shows, and each competed on separate seasons of Dancing with the Stars – but when it comes to their home lives, they couldn’t be more different. Kendra was in for a world of shock when she stumbled into Kate’s home and took on the role of single mom to eight kids.

Kate, on the other hand, couldn’t believe that she would have to not only take care of just one kid for a week, but also leave nearly all of the house work to Kendra’s husband Hank Baskett and their housekeeper Rosa!

Wives Swap Places In Surprise Switch

When Kate and Kendra arrived at each other’s houses, it was a complete shock where they would end up — until they saw the family pictures in each of the houses! When Kendra saw Kate Gosselin’s photo, she about had a heart attack — she would be taking care of eight kids by herself!

Kate was a little more relieved when she saw Kendra’s photo, because she knew she would have a husband to help and just one little (adorable) kid to look after. When they read each other’s house rules and manuals, it got a little more complicated.

Kate found out that Kendra’s nanny Rosa takes care of the house work and little Hank most of the day, and there really isn’t a set structure to their schedule. ”Relax and have a drink on me,” the handbook said — what a treat!

Kendra was floored when she saw that Kate’s schedule with her eight kids is much more structured. She starts making their breakfast at 5:30 in the morning, and is ready for when the kids come down the stairs at 6:03 A.M. (not 6, and not 6:05). She finds out each kid has a set of strict chores, which is foreign to her since she has never had chores in her life!

Kate & Kendra Take Over Role As Mommy

When Kendra meets the eight kids, they are super standoffish. And Kendra admits she’s pretty bad at remembering names, so she’s not sure how the week is going to go. But the kids teach her how they make their lunches, what their chores are and how they continue with their routine — basically, the kids are mothering Kendra! ”Maddie is mentally older than I am,” Kendra admits.

Kate is in for a pleasant surprise when she sits back with a glass of wine and watches Hank make dinner on the grill. Then some of Kendra’s and Hank’s friends come over, and they all grill out and drink together. Kate says she can’t wrap her mind around grilling out randomly on a Monday night. Then, the night gets even crazier when the girls take Kate to a swanky LA club! She drinks some cocktails with the girls and tries to get used to a life of unwinding, but can’t get over that she’s normally in bed at that time.

Meanwhile, Kendra rests up for an early day with the kids. She makes them all cereal at 6 in the morning, which the kids aren’t pleased about (they usually eat eggs). But the boys do their chores of feeding the chickens, and the girls get all the lunches together. After a hectic morning, Kendra looks ready to break down! Then later after dinner, the kids resume all of their daily chores and Kendra can hardly believe the kids have to do so much.

Over in Hollywood, Kate she goes to the golf course with Hank and reveals over dinner that she doesn’t know how to relax, and hasn’t had dinner with a man in years! Kate feels like Kendra is taking advantage of her husband and not spending enough time with their son Hank. ”I wouldn’t want it that way… nanny who was there all day for taking care of the house,” Kate says.”

Time For A Change: Kate & Kendra Lay Down Their Rules

When the moms institue new rules for their new families, Kendra gets rid of all the after-dinner chores, and wants the kids to just play and have fun! They even have a picnic for dinner in the middle of the living room, throwing out the tradition of eating at the dinner table every night.

She even took them to a local arcade park to play games and ride go karts for a night of fun and spontaneity – but she nearly loses one of the boys Aiden!
Luckily, Aiden is found safe and sound, but Kendra soon realizes why Kate has so much structure in her life.

Kate, on the other hand, goes in the opposite direction. She says little Hank needs to eat dinner at the table like a normal person, and needs to learn some chores of his own. So they learn to pick up his torys together. She also doesn’t think Kendra spends enough time with her family as a family, so she wants all three of them to participate in activities together! They do yoga as a family — and Hank Sr. isn’t fond of making that a tradition.

But by the end of the week, Kate is starting to appreciate what it means to let loose and relax a little bit, especially when there’s someone else to take care of her. Kendra is learning that structure can be a positive thing, and it makes the household run so much more smoothly.

The Roundtable: Kendra & Kate Reveal What They Learned

When Kate and Kendra come face-to-face, the single mom of eight takes the gloves off and says what’s on her mind.

“It was my surprise to find that you have ONE child,” she revealed, and said it was was unique that she basically does “nothing.”

“You let everybody else do everything because you don’t care,” Kate says. “Between [Hank] and Rosa, they do everything, so essentially it enables you to do nothing.” She also says she needs to take some of the burden off Hank, who does everything in their house.

Hank disagrees, but instead of getting defensive, Kendra is on the same page — she needs to give little Hank more chores, and take some of the responsibility off of her husband and their nanny. ”Kate has empowered me. I need to dedicate more time with little Hank,” she reveals.

On the flip side, Kate admits she needs to chill out a little bit, and not feel guilty having some time to herself. Kendra says she hopes she learned the value of spontaneity and letting loose.

It looks like both moms learned a lot from each family — and is so grateful for the family they do have!

Mila Kunis in Marie Claire UK April 2013

With her highly anticipated film "Oz The Great and Powerful" set to hit theaters next week (March 8), Mila Kunis garnered herself some added exposure by covering the April 2013 issue of Marie Claire UK.

Looking absolutely enchanting in white for the Craig McDean-shot front page, the 29-year-old actress opened up about everything from "That 70's Show" to her hectic Hollywood life.

During the interview, the "Black Swan" beauty chatted about moving on from television, and said, "When '70s ended I went on a mission to prove everybody wrong. I read for movies I would never do. I auditioned for everything, just to show I could do it. I needed to prove I was capable of doing things other than—forget comedy—other than a TV show."

She's definitely proved herself in Hollywood, and Mila accepts the changes that come with more esteem, explaining, "To say my life hasn't changed would be a lie. It has changed, I don't really know how. I can't complain, nor am I complaining, but I can't leave my house as freely as I used to. But I've also traveled a lot for work, so that's changed. I have been very lucky."

Although she's extremely talented and successful, the brunette beauty wants more from life. "I don't think I can do three-movies-a-year thing. It's too much. There comes a point in your life where you want to be... home."

"I want to explore other parts of this industry to see what aspects of it I can get myself into, so that I can.. work out of home maybe? Like producing. Then I can have, like, a life, in one location," she adds.

A man was pronounced dead and another bystander was injured Thursday night during a drive-by shooting outside rapper French Montana's tour bus in Philadelphia.
Per published reports, a crowd had gathered around the 28-year-old rapper's bus as it pulled into a local hotel after a show when an occupant in a passing car suddenly opened fire on the group.
According to authorities, a 27-year-old man died after being shot in the abdomen, and another man sustained a bullet wound to the shoulder.

Local news outlets are reporting that police are questioning 25 people, including the rapper and his entourage. Three people, meanwhile, were purportedly taken into custody for after police discovered they were carrying guns.
Authorities said they didn't believe Montana or his crew were specifically targeted by the shooting, and that neither of the victims was connected to the rapper.
The incident comes just a week after rapper Kenny Clutch was gunned down during a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas.

This Wonder Woman movie trailer is too good to be true (literally)

And it isn't true, unfortunately. This is a fan-made trailer directed by stuntman Jesse V. Johnson, showcasing a Wonder Womanmovie
where WW (played by Nina Bergman) kicks a great deal of Nazi ass. It's
pretty great, and not just because it doesn't end with WW on a couch,
with her cat and a tub of ice cream, talking about how lonely she is
(although that certainly helps). The sad part is that, as iGeektrooper rightly points out, the chances of The CW's Wonder-Woman-in-high-school show Amazon being as good as this fan trailer are slim indeed.

Thursday Ratings: 'The Big Bang Theory' repeat pounds new 'Community'

0
0

Were you in front of the TV last night wondering why nearly every network decided to take the night off?

February sweeps had just ended. So after four weeks of firing at rivals with original episodes, broadcasters collectively loosened their belts, took a breather and ran some repeats.

Fox’s American Idol was still in session and easily won the night, but matched Wednesday’s historic ratings low.

NBC had original episodes of Community and 1600 Penn. ABC aired another Zero Hour. All did lousy (see chart).

The night’s most interesting factoid: The second-highest rated show was CBS’ Big Bang Theory repeat with an adult demo rating that was nearly triple that of Community‘s original episode. The struggling NBC comedy — which many often assume does poorly because of Big Bang Theory – matched last week’s all-time ratings low despite its tough rival airing a repeat.

Maybe NBC can convince Morrissey to protest Community?

'Downton Abbey' Maid Sarah O'Brien Won't Return For Series 4, Actress Siobhan Finneran Confirms

'Downton Abbey' Maid Sarah O'Brien Won't Return For Series 4, Actress Siobhan Finneran Confirms

Downton Abbey's scheming maid Sarah O'Brien is to leave the hit period drama.

Actress Siobhan Finneran said she will not be returning to the show as the nasty screen character, who is maid to Lady Grantham.

Viewers have seen her throughout the first three series but O'Brien will not feature in the fourth series which is now being filmed.

Siobhan - soon to be seen in BBC1's The Syndicate - said she enjoyed playing the part, but she would not be back.

"I'm not doing any more," she revealed. "O'Brien is a thoroughly despicable human being - that was great to play."

During her time in the show she has been involved in a bitter feud with under-butler Thomas Barrow, as well as causing Cora Crawley to miscarry.

A spokeswoman for Downton confirmed O'Brien would not feature in the fourth series, but it is understood the door could be left open for a return.

At Christmas viewers were shocked to see the surprise exit of actor Dan Stevens when Matthew Crawley was killed off in the show's seasonal special.

Siobhan is in the cast of the second series of The Syndicate, playing a nurse who wins millions on the lottery with her colleagues.

The programme will return on BBC1 later this month.

Mo Farah, his VERY ambitious wife and the dash for cash that risks tarnishing an Olympic hero

0
0
All things being equal, by the time he reaches Tower Bridge during the forthcoming London Marathon, Mo Farah will have long since left in his wake the race’s fancy dress pantomime horses and giant chickens.

Then, after taking in the applause from the cheering crowd at the halfway point of the iconic sporting event, Farah — its most celebrated and recognisable competitor — will simply stop.

He will not be required to take another step in order to pick up the £250,000 cheque the race’s sponsors, Virgin, will give him for completing just 13.1 miles of the famous 26.2-mile course.

All of which might seem like something of a kick in the teeth to the 35,000-plus other participants struggling past the finish line on April 21.

But, then, double-Olympic champion Mo, who will be running a competitive marathon for the first time, is such a draw that the race organisers are prepared to bend over backwards — and bend the rules — in order for him to take part.

Indeed, they have promised him — and the American moneymen who have just taken over the reins of ‘Brand Mo’ — a further £500,000 when he runs the full distance of the marathon in 2014, pushing his post-Olympic earnings to £3.75 million.

Such dizzying sums are the tip of the iceberg. Two weeks ago, Team GB hero Mo and his ambitious wife Tania — who helps oversee his career — quietly agreed a deal with Connecticut-based global sports management firm Octagon that, it is hoped, will propel him into the big league.

Mo is just as much a brand as Virgin,’ Octagon’s UK vice-president Clifford Bloxham told me this week. ‘And we have to build that brand.
‘When it comes to the big deals in British sport, Mo can be doing those deals. He is going to be able to compete with Lewis Hamilton, Andy Murray and top footballers. He deserves to get his share of those opportunities.’

Already, big money sponsorships with the likes of French fashion house Louis Vuitton and South Korean car maker Hyundai are being discussed.

Conservative estimates forecast that Mo, who was brought up in poverty in war-torn Somalia before moving to Britain at the age of eight, could make up to £10 million over the next two years.

Suddenly, Farah, who won the nation’s hearts with his stunning gold medal achievements in the 5,000 and 10,000 metres at London 2012 and his trademark ‘Mobot’ celebration, is realising his full commercial worth.

Sadly, however, it seems even the ‘Mobot’, which involves arching the hands over the head to create a letter ‘M’ — and which was recreated with such innocent glee in the nation’s school playgrounds in the wake of his victories — has a price.
The runner’s aides told me this week that his long-time manager Ricky Simms, who also looks after the career of Olympic sprinter Usain Bolt, has applied to trademark it.

Of course, while no one would begrudge the likeable 29-year-old his chance to reap the financial rewards of his hard work, there are concerns in athletics that by so assiduously chasing the riches on offer to him, he could be jeopardising his career as a runner. Indeed, his insistence he will complete only half of the London Marathon has led to bemusement among his peers.

This week, Paula Radcliffe described the move as ‘a little bit strange’ and Steve Cram called it ‘difficult to comprehend’. I am told behind the scenes in the close-knit world of athletics that there is, among some, unbridled fury over the plan.

It’s pure showboating and has nothing to do with the long-held spirit of the marathon,’ one senior figure told me. ‘Some of the elite athletes will be spitting tacks.
‘Because he has to run only half the race, Mo could decide to go for broke, hit the front and run an incredible time. Then he’ll just stop, and no doubt be treated as a winner by the crowd.
‘In effect, you’ll end up with two winners and it detracts from the man who makes the supreme effort to finish the allotted course and come in first.’

Yet the lure of cold, hard cash seems to be too hard to resist. His close advisers, who include Tania — his wife of three years, who also acts as his media consultant— are insistent that Mo’s transition from track to marathon running, with its bigger appearance fees, will increase his scope for sponsorship earnings exponentially.

Crucially, it will also give Farah access to the lucrative U.S. market.

Last weekend, Mo, who moved to Portland, Oregon, with his family in 2011, ran in the Rock ’n’ Roll half-marathon in New Orleans.
Interviewing him after the race, a local TV reporter made the cringeworthy mistake of asking Mo if he’d ever run before. Too polite to mention his Olympic gold medals and the fact he is the reigning World and European 5,000 metres champion, Mo didn’t let the journalist know her mistake.

Yet his Stateside advisers are planning to raise his profile in the U.S. by playing down his Britishness and talking up the ‘inspirational story’ of his impoverished African background. ‘Running marathons in New York will increase his profile in the States,’ said Bloxham, whose company generates more than £2.6 billion for international sports stars including swimmer Michael Phelps and Formula One driver Mark Webber.

‘What’s interesting is that he’s come from Africa and overcome a hard start. Mo’s a star and I think he needs to be conscious of his brand and how he’s seen.’

Some in British athletics fear Mo may be spreading himself too thinly, and point to the fact Octagon also oversaw the career of the under-achieving Russian tennis starlet Anna Kournikova, whose sporting potential went unfulfilled despite her endless money-making sponsorship commitments.

But Farah is undeniably hot property — and his rags-to-riches background is not the only media-friendly aspect of his life on which his advisers hope to cash in.
They plan to profit from his family man image, after Tania — who met the runner while they were at comprehensive school in Feltham, Middlesex — gave birth to twin girls, Aisha and Amani, at the end of August (she has a daughter Rihanna, seven, from a previous relationship).

Already, 26-year-old Tania has negotiated a six-figure deal with Hello! magazine, in which the babies were paraded before the camera for the first time.

Bizarrely, the plan had been that the couple would not even reveal the girls’ names until the release of the runner’s autobiography.
The idea was dropped once Hello! opened its chequebook, but led to a farcical — and embarrassing — situation when Mo demurred from telling journalists the babies’ names at a press conference after the birth, saying they’d have to wait for his memoirs. The normally affable Farah has also been unusually tight-lipped about some of the more problematic aspects of his life — notably his apparently strained relationship with the family he left behind in Africa.

His father, Muktar, fled Somalia with Mo — short for Mohamed — and two of their six children, leaving behind his wife, Amran, and the rest of the children, including Mo’s twin brother Hassan, also a gifted runner.

Understandably, Mo has been even less keen to discuss his half-brother Omar — by his father’s second marriage — whose existence he had kept secret until last month.

Omar, 20, has been in and out of trouble with the police and spent a month behind bars at Feltham Young Offenders Institution after being charged with using or threatening violence during the London riots in the summer of 2011.
The charges were eventually dropped. However, hoodie-wearing Omar, who admits to regularly smoking cannabis, but denies being a drug dealer, found himself homeless on his release and was forced to live in a hostel.
Understandably, perhaps, the subject of his colourful clan is something of a sore point for the clean-living Mo, who launched his own foundation two years ago to help starving children in East Africa.

Alan Watkinson, his former PE teacher and best man at his wedding to Tania in 2010, says of Farah’s relationship with his family: ‘He doesn’t really have a lot to do with them. I’ve never got to the bottom of it because he’s very private.
‘I think he was expected to immerse himself within [the Somali] community, but Mo found that impossible to reconcile. So they drifted apart, but there’s no animosity.’

Indeed, oddly, Tania’s parents, Robert and Nadia Nell, say they have never met their son-in-law’s nearest and dearest.

Despite such domestic difficulties, the money continues to roll in. I understand that Mo’s main sponsor-ship contracts with Nike, Lucozade, Bupa and Holiday Inn are all up for renegotiation.

His Olympic success and household name status mean he is in a position to demand ever more big-money deals to act as brand ambassador to a growing number of firms, including Virgin Media, which signed him up for a high-profile ad campaign after the Games.

Helping to pull strings in the background is Tania. The family live in a large four-bedroom house near the Nike Oregon Project which is run by Farah’s maverick Cuban-born coach Alberto Salazar.

For months at a time, Mo also trains at altitude in Kenya. All of which exacts a toll on his home life. This week, on a rare return to Britain, he tweeted fans he had not seen his baby daughters for nearly two months.
But Bloxham says: ‘We’ll be looking at family brands for Mo because he’s a dad, like a supermarket or a holiday destination. He would be great for a family car brand with his endurance and long-running reliability.

‘We’re going to clients and saying: “Have you thought that Mo spends eight months of the year travelling?” This is how one could use him, for Louis Vuitton, for example. People think of him as a runner, rather than the international traveller that he is.
‘But anything Mo does commercially must add value to him as a person.’

A noble sentiment. And while this charming and brilliantly talented man is earning his well-deserved fortune, let’s hope the businessmen managing him don’t jeopardise what the much-loved Mo does best — running.

Charlize Theron and Seth MacFarlane?

I reported on Tuesday -- click here for a refresher -- that Charlize Theron decided to hit up Seth MacFarlane’s Oscar after-party instead of Vanity Fair, hanging out with Glee people well below her Hollywood hierarchy because…

Something might be happening between the two of them?

More details are emerging: According to gossip veteran Bill Zwecker at the Chicago Sun-Times, they got on very well during rehearsals for the show. She’s attracted to his sense of humour. And a source posits that “This is early, but I see a new relationship brewing”.

Am I the only one in the crowd, arms out, palms up, looking around totally confused? The good news? Apparently he and the Khaleesi are done.

Light-Skinned Vs. Dark-Skinned Beauty: Kendrick Lamar’s Fascinating “Poetic Justice” Video Backstory

0

Kendrick Lamar’s “Poetic Justice” video is definitely one of our favorites of the year thus far. K. Dot and Drake may not have gotten their Janet Jackson cameo, so the two play out a tragic love triangle instead. But who knew there was also a dramatic backstory during in the making of the video? Kendrick’s love interest, model Brittany Sky, almost didn’t make the final cut. In part 2 of Info’s exclusive backstage interview with KL, the rapper revealed why he fired the original leading lady on set, and plucked Sky out of the crowd of extras…

“We had another girl for the lead but I had an idea where I just wanted a little bit of a darker tone [girl] in the video,“ Kendrick tells Miss Info. Kendrick was sick of seeing only light-skinned video models. “It’s almost like a color blind industry where there’s only one type of appeal to the camera.“

“I give [Brittany] the credit, too, for just being there, and being a natural, genuine young lady. She wasn’t all in the open, trying to jump in [front] of the camera. She was cool, just chilling. I always kept in the back of my mind like ‘you don’t ever see this tone of a woman in videos. ‘” Kendrick says, “No disrespect, I love all women, period. But at the same time, I still feels like it needs that balance.“

Kendrick Lamar tells Miss Info why he replaced the original star of the “Poetic Justice” video right before the shoot.

Miss Info: Just as you saw in the first clip of our interview, Kendrick is very aware and insightful about the pluses and pitfalls of his work. He even acknowledges that while he’s happy he could make a small move to counteract some of the skin-tone prejudice in his business, it’s just a drop in a bucket. And he makes no bones about the fact that hip hop objectifies women in many ways. So glad we got the chance to talk this week.

So happy someone is finally sticking up for the dark skin girls in hip hop. I love that we may see some balance now!

Lindsay Lohan's Attorney is Incompetent

It was shocking but Judge Jim Dabney reamed Mark Heller, saying he was incompetent to practice law in California and said Lindsay either has to get another lawyer who knows what he's doing or she has to come into court and waive her right to a competent California lawyer.

The judge informed Mark Heller he screwed up the legal docs he filed by not following California law ... and the motion to dismiss charges was DENIED. Heller tried to blame the previous lawyer, but his paperwork was so screwed up ... his argument fell on deaf ears.

The judge went on to say Heller doesn't have a clue about criminal law, questioning his competence to handle the case. The California lawyer who's sponsoring Heller to appear in Lindsay's case didn't show up today, and the judge made note of that ... not that it would really matter, because the sponsor never practiced law a day in her life.

Prosecutor Terry White made it clear ... he's ready for trial on March 18, where Lindsay will have to face the music in her lying-to-cops case.

Heller was short on the law but long on platitudes ... saying the judge needed to show Lindsay "mercy and compassion."

There was no mention made of the ongoing plea bargain negotiations. We broke the story ... lawyers on both sides discussed a plea this week but couldn't agree on a punishment.

Live on TMZ: Press Conference with Mark Heller"For someone of Lindsay Lohan's status, it's not inappropriate for her to be outside a club or a restaurant where alcohol is served... she's completely in control of her life"

Bonnie Franklin, "One Day At a Time" star dies.

NEW YORK (AP) — Bonnie Franklin, the pert, redheaded actress who won fame as a divorced mom on the long-running sitcom "One Day at a Time," has died.
Family members say she died Friday due to complications from pancreatic cancer. She was 69.
Her family had announced she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in September 2012.
Though she already had stage and TV credits, "One Day at a Time" made her a star with its premiere in 1975. She played a divorced single mother raising two teenage girls, costars Valerie Bertinelli and Mackenzie Phillips.
The series ran on CBS for nine seasons, spending most of them as a Top 20 hit.
Franklin's recent credits include appearances on "The Young and the Restless" and the TV Land comedy "Hot in Cleveland," which reunited her with Bertinelli, one of that show's regulars.

Are Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran dating?

0
0

Taylor Swift has been linked to yet another British singer after reports claim she is now dating Ed Sheeran.

The pair are close friends after writing songs on Taylor's album, Red, and Ed will be supporting Taylor on her US tour later this year.

According to The Sun, the pair have been dating since the night before the Brit Awards last week. And E! News reports that the pair spent the night together at Taylor's London hotel.

Ed was seen doing "the walk of shame" the next day, leaving the hotel in the same clothes he'd been wearing the night before.

It is thought the friends have grown closer following Tay Swizzle's split from One Direction heartthrob Harry Styles earlier this year.

Speaking to The Sun, a source said, "Taylor's always loved Ed to bits, he's just an adorably sweet guy who makes her laugh and feel really confident whenever they're together.

"Yes, Harry had that irresistible bad boy thing, but Taylor's realised she'd rather give it a go with a guy who makes her laugh.

"Taylor and Ed spent the night together before the Brits at her hotel. They stayed up talking and putting the world to rights until 4am and by the end they were a couple again."

Taylor and Ed have been linked before back in October, after they wrote songs for her Red album but the 'A-Team' singer insisted that they were unlikely to start a relationship because he wasn't "her type".

However, the source added, "She made it very clear that when they go off on their tour she wants him to be her boyfriend. He's thrilled because he's always thought she's amazing.

"When they split last year he always hoped if he played his cards right and just kept being her friend they'd get back together.

"They've both vowed not to have a nasty break-up and no matter what happens they'll stay best pals like last time."

We have to take this news with a pinch of salt seeing as Taylor was linked to another Brit singer Tom Odell only last week.

Maybe Tay Swizz and Ed were just writing another hit track together, or making some plans for the tour!

But then Ed does have a tattoo of the Red in tribute to Taylor's album. Only time will tell eh?

The Deception star joins an ensemble case that includes returning cast members Will Ferrell, Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, Christina Applegate, David Koechner, and new additions Kristen Wiig and James Marsden.

Deadline states that Good will play Ron Burgundy’s boss in the sequel, which is set to open on December 20, directed by Adam McKay, from his screenplay. Might Good's character buy two tickets to Burgundy's "gun show," or will she resist his so-called charms?

More pilot casting news...
Tracie Thomshas signed up for a co-starring role opposite Janet Montgomery in ABC’s pilot Gothica, which is described as a "gothic soap" combines mythical legends like Dracula, Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, Frankenstein and Dorian Gray, and centers on a Grace Van Helsing (played by Janet Montgomery), a Pulitzer prize winning journalist from New York who takes over her family’s hometown newspaper, The Guardian.

Thoms has signed on to play Mina, described as an old friend of Grace’s and The Guardian’s managing editor.

We last saw Thoms co-starring in the Alicia Keys' stage production Stick Fly, directed by Kenny Leon, and on the big screen in the sci-fi action flick Looper, with Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Bruce Willis and Emily Blunt.

Jimmy Smits will be back in Charming for season 6, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

Smits, who joined the show in season five as the gangster-turned-"companionator," will be back for all 13 episodes of season 6, as reported by TV Line.

On season 5, Smits' character wooed and won over Gemma (Katey Sagal), while also helping Jax (Charlie Hunnam) and the California motorcycle club sort out some troubles with their enemies.

At the end of season 5, showrunner Kurt Sutter told press that he would like to see Smits return but wasn't sure if the actor's schedule would allow it. "His sort of Latino past and that energy, mixing it into our world, is really fascinating for me," he told reporters. "I love the relationship that is going on with he and Gemma. There's enough emotional weight on the table, there's enough relationship weight on the table for us to continue that storyline."

Meagan seems to be breaking into the mainstream. And YAY for Jimmy Smits' return, I've had the hugest crush on him since The West Wing.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actress recently took meetings with all the major talent agencies before agreeing on CAA, which has been on a signing tear recently, adding in the past weeks Keira Knightley, Frost/Nixon writer/playwright Peter Morgan, Neil Patrick Harris and Jennifer Jason Leigh.

Oscar-nominated for “The Help” and “Doubt,” Davis won Tony Awards for the revival of August Wilson’s Fences with Denzel Washington, and for King Hedley II. She had been repped by APA.

Davis will next be seen in the Denis Villenueve-directed “Prisoners” for Warner Brothers and the Gavin Hood-directed “Ender’s Game, “which Summit Entertainment releases in November.

She continues to be managed by Estelle Lasher at Principal Entertainment and her lawyer is Michael Adler of Lichter, Grossman, Nichols, Adler & Feldman.

Posting this because people are saying it is a controversial move on her part. Under her former agency - APA, she scored 2 academy award, 2 golden globes, 1 bafta nomination(s) and 2 tony awards. The feeling is, at CAA she is going to get lost in the among the Keira Knightly types. Interestingly enough, it is the same agency as her bestie Meryl Streep.
