Kevin Clash Denies Sex With Under Age Boy Takes Leave of Absence from Sesame Street

Kevin Clash -- the man known as the voice of Elmo -- has taken a leave of absence from Sesame Street in the wake of allegations he had a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old boy, TMZ has learned ... allegations Clash adamantly denies.

We've learned ... Sesame Workshop lawyers recently met with a 23-year-old man who claims he and Clash began a sexual relationship 7 years ago ... when he was 16 and Clash was 45.

Clash has acknowledged to TMZ he had a relationship with the young man -- but insists it only took place AFTER the accuser was an adult.

Sesame Workshop honchos tell TMZ ... "In June of this year, Sesame Workshop received a communication from a young man who alleged that he had a relationship with Kevin Clash beginning when he was 16-years-old. This was a personal relationship, unrelated to the workplace. We took the allegation very seriously and took immediate action."

Sesame Workshop officials acknowledge to TMZ they met with the accuser twice and had a number of other communications with him.

Sources with direct knowledge of the situation tell TMZ ... after the accuser's initial meeting with Sesame Street, the accuser felt Sesame Workshop's lawyers were trying to muzzle him ... so he lawyered up with Andreozzi and Associates -- the firm that represented one of the victims in the Jerry Sandusky child rape case.

On August 15, 2012 ... Andreozzi fired off a letter to Sesame, accusing the company of trying to "discredit the victim in order to protect its employee and the image of one of its most valuable characters," adding, "This approach places a greater value on a puppet than the well being of a young man."

Sesame Workshop officials tell TMZ ... they conducted a thorough investigation and determined the allegation of underage sex was unsubstantiated. They say they never tried to silence the accuser -- rather they asked for evidence supporting his claim, but he never produced it.

Officials also tell us they're suspicious because the accuser has an email which TMZ obtained -- purportedly sent to him by Clash, acknowledging they had the affair when he was 16. The officials say the accuser never mentioned such an email existed and they believe it's fraudulent.

But there were other emails between Clash and the accuser, and although they don't suggest there was underage sex, officials tell us they disciplined him for inappropriate use of company email.

Sesame Workshop honchos tell TMZ ... "Kevin insists that these allegations are false and defamatory and he has taken actions to protect his reputation. We have granted him a leave of absence to do so."

It is unclear why Clash wanted a leave of absence, since he denies the allegations of underage sex.

As for Clash, the voice actor tells TMZ, "I had a relationship with [the accuser]. It was between two consenting adults and I am deeply saddened that he is trying to make it into something it was not." Clash calls the accusations false and defamatory.

Finally Sesame Workshop officials tell TMZ the puppet is alive and well: "Elmo is bigger than any one person and will continue to be an integral part of Sesame Street to engage, educate and inspire children around the world."

Taylor Swift on the December 2012/Jan. 2013 cover of Harper's Bazaar

It is a truth universally acknowledged that Taylor Swift loves dresses. She's loved them since she was a teenager, when she tore out a picture of Gwyneth Paltrow's pink Ralph Lauren Oscar gown from a magazine and walked around the stores at a local mall asking if they had anything like it. "I was 15 and going to prom for the first time, and I saw that picture of Gwyneth in the pink gown," she recalls. "I went all over the mall and showed it to all the store owners and said, 'Do you have anything that looks like this?' And no one did." She guffaws."So there's that. That's a sad story for you."

So while Taylor failed in her quest to look like the 1999 Oscar winner, when it comes to dresses she is unwavering. "There's just something so feminine about a dress," she says, currently sporting a bathrobe in a Nashville photo studio. "Whether it's a summertime dress that makes me feel carefree, an evening cocktail dress that makes me feel fancy, or a vintage dress that makes me feel like a '50s housewife—which I enjoy feeling like, for some reason—I just really like dresses." How many does she own? "Hundreds. Because I'm in a predicament where I can't wear a dress twice or else it's pointed out in magazines, so"—she starts laughing—"unfortunately I have to shop for dresses all the time."

Today, though, it's all about pants. Taylor hardly ever wears them, consenting to jeans in the winter only for survival reasons. That said, "I think doing something that's different, that's out of your comfort zone is important," she says of posing for Bazaar in les pantalons. "Personal growth, let's call it that."

Pants are not only supremely in style, but they are also a metaphor for Taylor. There are few young women who wear the pants more than she does. At 22, she is the highest-paid entertainer under 30; in the past year she earned $57 million, according to Forbes. She has more awards than she can count (including the MTV? Video Music Award that Kanye West wanted to re-gift), she is her own manager, and, as we know, she writes all of her songs. Taylor is so astute that she walked away from an unbeneficial development deal at 14.

"When I'm in management meetings when we're deciding my future, those decisions are left up to me," she explains. "I'm the one who has to go out and fulfill all these obligations, so I should be able to choose which ones I do or not. That's the part of my life where I feel most in control."

Taylor runs the show moneywise too, aided by her father, Scott, a financial adviser. "I don't tend to spend a lot of money on the big things, like cars or jewelry. I'll rent a house on the beach or something, bring my girlfriends." (She also had a lot of beachtime this past summer on Cape Cod, at Conor Kennedy's family compound in Hyannis Port.) But Taylor is very loyal to her girl tribe, which includes Emma Stone and Selena Gomez. "We never talk about fashion, about career, about our ambitions or our projects," she says of her pals. "We just talk about relationships, feelings, love, and boys."

Relationships—yes, she's had a few, though Taylor is happy to cede some control when dating. "It needs to be equal. If I feel too much like I'm wearing the pants, I start to feel uncomfortable and then we break up." Relationships are "the ultimate collaboration," she adds, but sometimes "it's wonderful to hand over the reins to your boyfriend when you control so much of these big, high-pressure decisions, you know? That is a huge defining factor in who you choose to be with."

Who Taylor chooses to be with is one of the world's great preoccupations. "What I had to learn to do, in order to maintain a general happiness in my life, was to stop reading everything," she says, getting fired up. "And then it gets really bad if you go through a breakup and those blogs have these polls asking, 'Who should they date next?' And you're just sitting there staring at the laptop bawling." She pauses. "But you can live in a normal world where a breakup is just a breakup if you don't expose yourself to what's being speculated about yourself. That's where I live now."

She is, however, about to be living on a plane. Taylor is deep in promotion for her new album, Red, which is "about the tumultuous adventures and misadventures and love and loss that I've experienced in the last two years." She's already had one number-one single, so next, the inevitable tour. "I'm not used to being in a place more than two days in a row," she says, adding, "I don't know if I have a vacation for another year. You get really good at maintaining phone relationships with people you love, because you're just not going to get to see them all the time."

There is nothing Taylor controls more, though, than her songs—a narrative of her life with a hook, a chorus, and just enough mystery to keep people guessing. And those tricky relationships will continue to be her main source of inspiration: "Some combinations of people are toxic, you know? You have to find the right one that isn't just going to explode into fiery ash and destruction."

But unlike the rest of us who sit at home and eat our feelings, Taylor focuses on writing. "Despite all of that and how unpleasant it is, as a writer you get a lot from it. It's a crazy justification system. You know that guy you really wish you could erase from your memory? But then the answer is track six, eight, 12, and 13."

Jarrod Schulz

Jarrod was arrested in May of 1999 for drug trafficking and driving under the influence. He violated his probation from a previous felony conviction of possession of Crystal Methamphetamine. About that time in his life, Jarrod states that living alongside the murderers and rapists made me realize I was going down the same path. I'm not a bad guy. I went through a dark few years there and drugs were at the root.

Brandi Passante

Photobucket

Brandy received a tweet from notorious internet “stalker porn” king Hunter Moore’s “Is Anyone Up” Twitter account that read “Love the pics” with a link to pornographic images and a video purporting to be her. Brandy has since filed a lawsuit against Moore U.S. District Court in Central California. She claims her professional reputation has been damaged and Moore is capitalizing on her name and likeness to increase site traffic.

Darrell Sheets

Darrell is a storage auction veteran from San Diego, CA who has been in the business for over 30 years. He shocked viewers when he revealed that the strangest thing he's ever found in a unit is a dead body. Darrel found the plastic-wrapped human corpse of a wife that had been murdered by her husband who then left in his storage unit.

Reality Weekly Magazine I actually found a body years ago in like 1988 down in Sand Diego, California. It was a very horrific story, and it was an occult group and all that kind of stuff.

Barry Weiss

Barry goes to storage auctions for fun, not profit, and is the comic relief of the show bringing along little people on stilts, psychics, and even fake German business men with him to auctions. He owns a produce company called Northern Produce in CA with his brother Joel. He is estimated to be worth 25 million dollars. He has lots of celebrity friends and even calls Natalie Portman his neighbor.

Voice of Elmo on leave after denying 'underage conduct' with teen

121112014512-kevin-clash-elmp-story-top

The puppeteer who provides the voice of Elmo is on a leave of absence from Sesame Street after denying he had an inappropriate relationship with a teenage boy.

Sesame Street Workshop says it found the allegation against Kevin Clash "unsubstantiated," and granted him leave as he takes "actions to protect his reputation."

In June, the workshop heard from a 23-year-old man who claimed that he had "a relationship" with Clash beginning when he was 16 years old, the workshop said in a written statement.

The statement did not use the word "sexual."

"We took the allegation very seriously and took immediate action. We met with the accuser twice and had repeated communications with him. We met with Kevin, who denied the accusation. We also conducted a thorough investigation and found the allegation of underage conduct to be unsubstantiated. Although this was a personal relationship unrelated to the workplace, our investigation did reveal that Kevin exercised poor judgment and violated company policy regarding internet usage and he was disciplined," the Sesame Street Workshop statement said.

"Kevin insists that the allegation of underage conduct is false and defamatory and he is taking actions to protect his reputation. We have granted him a leave of absence to do so.

"Elmo is bigger than any one person and will continue to be an integral part of Sesame Street to engage, educate and inspire children around the world, as it has for 40 years."

CNN could not reach Clash immediately for a response.  TMZ reported that Clash said his relationship with the accuser "was between two consenting adults and I am deeply saddened that he is trying to make it into something it was not."

Last year, Clash spoke to CNN about the magic of Elmo, a "mirror image" for kids

http://news.blogs.cnn.com/2012/11/12/voice-of-elmo-on-leave-after-denying-relationship-with-teen/.

I hope this isn't true because I am sick of hearing all these stories of people in positions of trust abusing the innocent?

It's taken a while, especially given that the film comes out about four months from now, but some proper looks at James Franco, Michelle Williams, Mila Kunis and Rachel Weisz in Sam Raimi's "Oz The Great And Powerful" are here. And yes, another look at a monkey.
While this entry won't have the Scarecrow, Tin Man or other recognizable faces from the classic, it will approach the yellow brick road from a different angle, with Franco playing a struggling magician who is transported to the world of Oz, where he is mistaken for the next king of Emerald City. He'll have to battle the evil witches Theodora (Weisz) and Evanora (Kunis), while Glinda The Good Witch (Williams) will probably lend him a helping hand.
Audiences will also see Chinatown, which is not what you're thinking. "Everything in the land, the houses and people made of china, have been broken by the Wicked Witch and her army," Sam Raimi tells USA Today. "Oscar find the pieces of this china doll and puts them together, and hence the China Girl (voiced by Joey King) is saved."

Dean McDermott: The baby he left behind.

Mary Jo Eustace said she was blindsided when, her husband of 12 years and father to her children, Dean McDermott told her he met someone else when the family was on vacation in Palm Springs, CA. Dean has recently finished wrapping a Lifetime movie Mind over Murder in Ottawa with Tori Spelling, so she asked him if it was her.

Dean: We're soul-mates. She loves me unconditionally.
Mary Jo: What conditions? You've only known each other 3 weeks. We just adopted a baby.
Dean: I'm not leaving the kids. I'm leaving you.

Dean and Mary Jo were in the process of adopting a baby girl named Lola who had been born on their Wedding Anniversary, just days before Dean left to film the movie for Limetime. Dean, feeling as though it wouldn't be fair to Lola, petitioned to have his name removed from the adoption papers which forced Mary Jo to try to re-finalize the adoption as a single parent. And just when she thought it couldn't get worse, it did. Baby Lola's biological father sued for custody. There were six lawyers involved, even the baby had a lawyer. Eventually the father relented and Eustace was granted custody.

Photobucket

Mary Jo Eustace says it took years to be able to forgive Dean and have a healthy co-parenting relationship. Although he does not consider Lola to be his child, she has accompanied Jack to California when he goes to see his brothers and sisters. Dean McDermott and Tori Spelling have 4 children. Liam [5], Stella [3], Hattie [1], and Finn [10 weeks].

TLDR
Dean and Mary Jo have a son Jack. They planned a private adoption with a young woman a few years later and were involved during her pregnancy. Lola was born on July 24th and they took her home. Dean left on August 1st and when he came home he told Mary Jo he wanted a divorce.

He removed his name from the adoption papers which weren't finalized yet and Mary Jo had to re-do the application as a single parent. Then the baby's bio-dad tried to block the adoption and get custody but eventually dropped his case.

New Sneak Peek for Next Week's The Walking Dead

Melissa George has a meltdown after Australian TV interview.

$

She is an accomplished actor with international acclaim. Just don't mention the other ''a'' word … ''Angel'' from Home and Away. Melissa George has blasted Australian media for referring to the teenage role she had on the soapie 20 years ago, saying it has caused her so much stress she is unlikely to return here. "Nobody does more promotion for that f---ing show than me."

"I love this city so much," she said of Sydney. "And I want to come home a lot but the stress that this has created in me is not worthy of my health. I think it will be the last time [I visit and work here] for a while, to be honest, because I just get too upset coming home."

George, whose new series Hunted begins screening on SBS on Saturday, said she was sick of people referring to her as Angel because she had the role 20 years ago. "I don't need credibility from my country any more, I just need them all to be quiet. If they have nothing intelligent to say, please don't speak to me any more. I'd rather be having a croissant and a little espresso in Paris or walking my French bulldog in New York City," she said.lmao ok

George is dating French millionaire Jean-David Blanc, with a lifestyle a long way from Summer Bay. "I've got to be honest. I'm not going to be a good Aussie any more. I'm going to speak out. I've just had it," she said. "It's disgusting."

George was 16 when she moved from Western Australia to Sydney for the Home and Away role, with the full backing of her parents. She became a household name while playing the role of Angel Brooks, opposite Dieter Brummer's Shane Parrish, from 1993 to 1996. The pair eventually married on screen and became one of the most popular couples the show has produced. She won two Logie Awards including most popular new talent, launched her Angel at my Bedside nightwear range and then appeared on the cover of Playboy.

The 36-year-old has gone on to success on US and British television (including a Golden Globe nomination) and received critical acclaim for her latest roles in The Slap and her new series, Hunted. But she is upset that Angel still takes up more airtime than her other characters combined. "I've never spoken out about it because I have to be the loyal good Aussie, who goes away and comes home. But I'm a really hard-working woman and people have to respect me for what I've done," George said.

Her extraordinary outburst came after a television interview with Larry Emdur and Kylie Gillies on Seven's The Morning Show on Friday, where the actor saw old footage of herself as Angel.
She said the presenters only mentioned her more recent international acting accolades when she "threatened to walk off the set". "Right behind my head was pictures of Angel and on the montage they called me 'Home and Away actress Melissa George'," she said. "Now, it's because it's Channel Seven, so my next call will be to Home and Away to ask them to pay me because nobody does more promotion for that f---ing show than me."

Despite vowing she is unlikely to return to Australia for some time, George will continue with her current stay here. She is due to start making a new film Felony with Joel Edgerton and Tom Wilkinson on Monday. It will be directed by Matt Saville, who also directed George in The Slap.
A spokeswoman for Seven said the station had "no comment" about George's displeasure.

I know it must be annoying when people reference your old work from time to time, but she sounds like an entitled, pretentious asshole to me.

(edit: the video at the source shows the interview, but unfortunately not the meltdown - however, the interviewers and the clip to introduce her reference most of her work she has done, not just Home & Away, so she definitely overreacted.)

One Direction's Harry Styles and Niall Horan 'spy on fans via Twitter'

Harry Styles and Niall Horan have created fake twitter profiles so they can see what their fans say about them.

The One Direction stars - who are joined in the band by Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne - like to do research about what people think about them by creating pseudonyms on the social networking site and asking fans questions who have no idea they are talking to the singers.

A source said: "Harry and Niall like to get personal with the fans, but it's hard to talk one-on-one with them without being cyber-mobbed. So in the last few months they've started using pseudonyms to befriend their fans on twitter. They have no idea the strangers they're talking to are actually their idols."

"The boys change their names every few weeks to prevent being rumbled."

The teenage hunks - who have 15.4 million twitter followers between them - particularly enjoy doing it while they spend time waiting in airports and hotels.

The source added to the Daily Star newspaper: "They find out what fans enjoy most at the gigs and which songs they like and don't like. It's also a good place to hear what the latest rumours are. They say it helps them kill time as well when they're waiting in hotels and airports around the world. Harry does it the most. He loves finding out what the fans really think."
