'Warm Bodies' Trailer: Zombies Get Romantic In Upcoming Movie

VIDEO WON'T EMBED - WATCH AT SOURCE

Romantic comedies often follow the same plot: boy meets girl, boy likes girl, conflict ensues, and finally, after much weeping and playing of Coldplay's "Fix You," love conquers all. Now, throw in zombies -- what happens?

"Warm Bodies", due out Feb. 1, 2013,  is trailblazing an entire new genre of movies: the zombie romantic comedy. Based on a widely popular novel by Isaac Marion, the movie stars Nicholas Hoult as the main zombie, R, and Teresa Palmer as his very human love interest, Julie.

"What am I doing with my life? I just want to connect. Why can't I connect with people?" Hoult questions himself in the trailer. "Oh right ... it's because I'm dead."

Much of the country is inhabited by zombies and the living humans are fighting to protect themselves. R begins to fall for Julie which, as he is a dangerous zombie, is very problematic. As R connects with Julie, she starts to believe that the love is healing all of the zombies.

with kaeden anders, a fan who has cerebral palsy

Justin Bieber already donates $1 of every ticket sold on his Believe tour to charity, and now, he's decided to direct the proceeds from four New York-area shows to the ongoing recovery effort in the wake of Hurricane Sandy.

"After talking with the team, I am proud to announce that for the four NYC area shows — the Jersey show, the Brooklyn show and two [Madison Square Garden shows], we are going to donate $1 to Hurricane Sandy relief," Bieber wrote on his Facebook page Thursday (November 8). "Thanks for helping us. #GIVEBACK."

Those shows include a November 9 concert at the IZOD Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey, a November 12 show at Brooklyn's Barclay's Center and his two-night stand at the Garden, set for November 28-29.

A Maryland teen is probably the best big brother a kid could hope for. Knowing that his 12-year-old sister is a huge fan of Justin Bieber, Zachary Berkow decided to take action.

Lily Berkow has Cerebral Palsy, but that doesn’t stop her from riding a bike, having fun with her brother, and rocking out to the “Biebs”. So when her parents got her tickets to Monday’s Justin Bieber concert, Zachary made a YouTube video showing just how much Justin’s song “Believe” means to his little sister.

"I want to see if she can meet Justin Bieber,” said Zachary. “There's probably trillions of little girls who also want to meet him, but Lily is just so special in her own way."

ABC7 saw Zachary’s video and reached out to Bieber’s people. Come Monday night, Lily will meet her idol face-to-face, a dream come true for a very special girl.

“I think it's pretty cool as an inspiration to other people,” said Zachary. “No matter what's wrong with you, no matter what your disabilities are, no matter where you are in your life you can still do what you want.

'Gossip Girl' to feature songs from Frank Ocean's 'Channel Orange'

Frank Ocean’s critically acclaimed breakthrough, “Channel Orange,” just found an unlikely source of synergy: “Gossip Girl.”

The soapy CW drama has announced that it will use a chunk of Ocean’s Def Jam debut to score an episode of the hit show.

“Gossip Girl” will feature five songs from the album, which by year’s end will have nabbed spots on plenty of best-of lists and is a safe bet for multiple nominations at the upcoming Grammy Awards.

Currently in its sixth and final season, "Gossip Girl" will exclusively feature the music of one artist for the duration of an episode for the first time. This also marks the first time Ocean’s music has been used for a television series.

Titled “Monstrous Ball,” the episode will include portions of “Lost,” “Super Rich Kids,” “Pyramids,” “Sweet Life” and Ocean's hit single “Thinkin Bout You.”

Released earlier this year, “Channel Orange” was celebrated for its atmospheric beats, lush harmonies and complex, confessional narratives.

In a review published in July, Times pop critic Randall Roberts praised the album’s “quiet, if tempestuous, storm, filled with muffled beats, whispers, perfectly placed arrangements, enough space within songs that each note is clear and present, and an overarching theme that confirms that its creator has an artistic vision that reaches beyond the gender of his desire.”

Fans who want to see how Ocean's music is woven into the dramatic lives of the criminally attractive and privileged Upper East Siders of "Gossip Girl" can tune into the episode when it airs Monday on the CW.

INTERNET GODDESS VALERIA LUKYANOVA HAS IGNITED CONTROVERSY WITH HER EXTRAORDINARY LOOK. DRIPPING IN THE SEASON'S FINEST JEWELS, THE NEOSPIRITUAL UKRAINIAN BEAUTY REVEALS HER BELIEF THAT ALTERING REALITY IS THE KEY TO LIFE

They call her the human Barbie, and her emergence is an online phenomenon that only could have manifested in 2012. Though Valeria Lukyanova had been posting videos of her almost inhuman beauty since November of last year, it was only when Gawker Media site Jezebel discovered the Ukrainian singer on April 22 that a virtual firestorm erupted, her likeness spreading through inboxes and across Twitter with breakneck velocity. The resulting chatter reached a soprano pitch—and with good reason. Her preferred look is so calculated and seemingly artificial that it borders on CGI. “Has Valeria achieved her Mattel-made look through surgery?” asked the Huffington Post. “Does she even exist?” London’s Daily Mail demanded to know. ABC News launched something of an investigation into the mysterious meme and concluded, “It’s unclear whether Lukyanova exists at all, or whether it’s all a hoax thanks to the world of photo editing.”

The truth is that Valeria is very much real, as brought to our attention by a Ukrainian contact who prefers to remain anonymous. The referral came with a strict warning to keep away from the musician and self-professed practitioner of “astral projection” (the practice of out-of-body travel). Our source also claimed that the Security Service of Ukraine is having Lukyanova’s activities monitored. “Be careful,” we were warned. “We’re worried for you, and do not want you to suffer from her.” Of course our interest was piqued. Born in the Moldavian city of Tiraspol, the girl who calls herself “Amatue” (her spiritual name, an Atlantean reference to the goddess of the sun, she says) now resides in Odessa, Ukraine. Though she admits on her site that she is “endowed by nature with extraordinary external data,” her main focus is on her musical and spiritual pursuits. We brought this viral phenom to New York City, entranced by her unnaturally thin waist, dramatic curves, and trendy, new age sense of style, which often includes pastel spaghetti-strap crop tops, navel piercings, and bindis. To say that her beauty routine is peculiar—she exaggerates her dew-drop eyes through makeup tricks and contact lenses—would be an understatement. Since Valeria’s star began to rise, many other such human avatars have sprung up, from San Francisco (home of Dakota Rose, aka Kotakoti) to China (where a new star by the name of Tina Leopard has gone viral). There’s even a local friend of Valeria’s by the name of Anastasiya Shpagina, whose appearance is borderline macabre—she looks like she walked straight off the animated series Sailor Moon. “Indeed, I’ve noticed a trend,” Valeria says of the beauty phenomenon. “Every good-looking woman with fine features and a slim figure looks like a doll. I won’t deny that I play along with people’s perceptions. I’m amused by the reactions. I don’t take it seriously.”

V sat down with a translator to ask the self-described “most famous woman of the Russian-speaking Internet” to settle some of the speculation and show us her serious side.

What is a typical day in the life of Valeria?
VALERIA LUKYANOVA In the morning I work on my face and I get a massage, then I spend some time on the Internet. I meditate and travel in my astral body, and after that I work out at the gym. I go for a walk with my best girlfriend, I get home, and I make dinner for the man I love. Then I spend some more time on the Internet, do some reading and meditating, and go to bed.

Do you primarily consider yourself a singer, a model, or an artist?
VL These are just different labels for my creative potential, but they don’t describe my true essence. I’m a teacher at the School of Out-of-Body Travel. It’s an international school in which our instructors show students how to leave their physical body and travel in their spiritual body, where you can visit any place on the planet and in the universe. I know that this is the future of mankind and that it has huge potential. Hidden reserves will be tapped soon.

Were you always interested in the metaphysical? Did you study it from a young age?
VL The questions of what we are and why we exist have interested me from my earliest childhood. Thanks to a large library of esoteric books collected by my mother, I was able to learn a lot.

How does your music fit into your “true essence”?
VL I have written most of my songs during my astral travels or during meditation. This is also how I collaborate with other composers of new age music. They inspire me. My genre is new age opera. Sometimes I can write a piece in one breath, in as little as five minutes. I very much like singers like Emma Shapplin and Sarah Brightman. I also love bands such as Enigma, Era, Deep Forest, Ametistium, and Alexander Mogilko.

How do you feel about your Internet popularity stemming mostly from your physical appearance?
VL I believe that because of it I have a responsibility to bring more good, light, and positive emotions to people. I want to share my art and my music and tell people about my spiritual ideas. When you feel happy, you want to tell everyone about it so that others become happier too.

Are you surprised by some of the negative reactions you have received?
VL No. I know the other side of celebrity is negativity, but I see it in a positive light. If people care about me, then I am on the right path. In real life, I never hear bad things.

What inspires your sense of fashion?
VL Everything derives from my spiritual practices. My mood is created by meditation and energy techniques. It makes me want to see everything as beautiful and bright, refined and original. I’m an idealist and a perfectionist, and I want my looks to reflect the world within me and how I feel. My close friend Dominika is a fashion designer, and she helps me create the kind of clothing that is consistent with my spiritual practice. Dominika draws the designs we create.

What goes into your beauty routine?
VL Most of my makeup I design myself as I put it on. I’m an artistic person, and I love dramatic images and bright makeup. I love the process of doing my own.

What do you make of all the women popping up online who are getting attention by presenting a look similar to yours? Would you consider this aesthetic some type of beauty movement?
VL People don’t understand that it has nothing to do with looks. There are many good-looking young women, but why are they completely unknown? Because looks are just a bonus. If you spend time working only on your appearance and you forget about your inner self, people will not be interested in you because they will not feel anything. Many people think you need only good looks to be successful, but it’s not true—only spiritual work can bear tangible results.

Incalculable comments on the Internet accuse you of being artificial in some way, either through computer technology or surgical procedures. Is there any truth to this?
VL Many people say bad things about people who want to perfect themselves. It’s hard work, but they dismiss it as something done by surgeons or computer artists. This is how they justify not wanting to strive for self-improvement. It’s how they explain their continued inaction. It’s just an excuse. There are plenty of video clips on the Internet showing what I really look like. Some people even spread rumors about me and retouch my pictures to hurt me. But I don’t take them seriously. I’m even flattered! It’s what success is like. I’m happy I seem unreal to them, it means I’m doing a good job.

What would people be surprised to know about the real Valeria?
VL I’m a professional mountain climber. I trek up the Himalayas and live far away from civilization for weeks at a time. I have traveled all over, and I love extreme recreation and adrenaline. I’m not afraid of anything, and I love taking risks. I love the unknown. I observe the flow of energy and bring its vibrations into my work. In my view, you can say it with music better than with words.

Aubrey Plaza in GAP Ad

The BA Q&A with Parks and Recreation Star Nick Offerman

The line between Nick Offerman the man and his character Ron Swanson on Parks and Recreation is hilariously, carnivorously blurry. They both love animal protein and see woodworking as the path to manly enlightenment.

Your character on Parks and Rec, Ron Swanson, is a vocal libertarian. What's on his Thanksgiving menu?
A large land fowl that he killed and prepared himself. An array of tubers that were grown in his garden. Freedom Fries. A single-malt Scotch and a gallon or two of home-brewed beer--followed by a cigar for dessert.

Sounds enticing. Which dish do you look forward to in real life?
Mashed potatoes. They're mostly butter and cream and Parmesan and garlic--with a little bit of potato mixed in.

As an Illinois native, what's your stance on Chicago-style vs. New York-style pizza?
If properly dried and trimmed, New York-style pizza could be used to make a box for Chicago-style pizza. I love a slice when I'm in NYC, but it's like eating a Slim Jim compared with a filet mignon. One slice of Gino's East stuffed sausage pizza is a bigger meal than an entire New York pie.

You own a woodshop in L.A. where they build furniture out of reclaimed wood. Ever make dining room tables?
I used to build scenery in the Chicago theater community, and I knew that every piece I built, at some point, somebody would have sex on that piece of scenery. So I make furniture that can withstand a lot--family dinners, homework, card games, drinking sessions--and, on occasion, it can take coitus.

We'll take your word for it. What about tools in the kitchen. Any go-tos?
I have a corn creamer that I love. It extracts pulp and juice from kernels, and I simmer that down into a creamed corn that has an almost mashed potato-like consistency. I add butter and hit it with chopped fresh chives at the end for an accent of color. It's my signature dish--it's called "Corn...My Way." There are ellipses in that. It's so sweet and delicious you could serve it for dessert.

Let's talk burgers. We saw you make a Ron Swanson burger--a burger stuffed with a turkey leg--on Jimmy Fallon. What's the Nick Offerman burger?
Really thick and meaty, with a little lamb or a little sirloin. I mix in a couple of eggs to bind it, and sometimes I'll grate in Gruyÿre or Parmesan.

And your wife [actress Megan Mullally]? What do you cook for her?
She loves my lamb chops. I marinate them in oil and throw some fresh rosemary and thyme on the meat as I'm grilling. A couple of those chops, a garden salad, and a steaming pile of "Corn...My Way," and you'll be heading up for seconds yourself. --Interview by Hugh Garvey

Young Hollywood: Popeyes commercial was Aubrey Plaza's big break

Celebrities are so often given free handouts -- designer clothing, courtside seats to the Lakers -- that it’s hard to imagine a star being excited by the prospect of free butterfly shrimp.

But “Parks and Recreation” regular Aubrey Plaza insists she was overjoyed to be consuming said fried food as the face of Popeyes Chicken & Biscuits, though she wasn't yet a star.

“I remember a moment where I was eating a bunch of butterfly shrimp and getting paid a lot of money to do that" during a Popeyes commercial, the actress recalled during the Los Angeles Times’ third annual Young Hollywood roundtable on Friday night. “I was living in Queens and I had no money, and I remember thinking, ‘I think I could do this. I’ll just do stuff like this.’ ”

Plaza, 28, joined Mary Elizabeth Winstead, 27, and Bella Heathcote, 24, for a lively discussion during AFI Fest, where the three up-and-comers shared candid tales of how they broke into Hollywood.

Winstead, who stars in this fall’s alcoholism drama “Smashed,” first visited Los Angeles at age 14, when she was thrilled to tour the sets of the television shows “Boy Meets World” and “3rd Rock From the Sun.” But it wasn’t until she worked with Quentin Tarantino on 2007’s “Death Proof” that she felt at home with her career choice.

“When [Tarantino] hired me and he actually sat me down and told me how much he loved me as an actor, I was like ‘Oh, man. Maybe I’m actually OK at this and can actually do something more with it,’ ” Winstead said.

And Heathcote? Her story involved a flirtatious Dustin Hoffman; check out the clip above to hear it. And circle back with Movies Now through the week as we continue to post short videos with additional highlights from the conversation.

Parks and Recreation: Aziz Ansari and Ben Schwartz Talk Tom and Jean-Ralphio

It’s a special night in Pawnee this week on Parks and Recreation, because Jean-Ralphio is back! Yes, Tom Haverford is again teaming up with his ever-driven partner in questionable ideas. I was on the set of this episode, “Ben’s Parents,” and spoke to both Ben Schwartz and Aziz Ansari about their comedic duo.

When Schwartz sat down with me, he was coming straight from filming and besides the amazing, huge Jean-Ralphio hair, I couldn’t help but notice he was notably sweaty. Explaining why, he said, “I am so sweaty because I was dancing as Jean-Ralphio with Aziz, because that’s what we do: we dance in leather jackets. Anytime we dance, I’m usually in a leather jacket or a heavy coat. So yeah, we were dancing to ‘Celebrate.’”

As for Tom and Jean-Ralphio’s new idea, the actors couldn’t discuss the details, but Schwartz said, “I think it’s going to be so fun. The whole idea is that they’ve said out loud is that Tom is looking to start a new business, and anytime Tom starts a new business his right hand man is Jean-Ralphio. You can look at my hair... You can tell whoever’s going to read this what my hair looks like. It’s insane. It’s crazy. I get so excited when I get to grow out my hair. So they join forces again, and they see what happens when they try to create another business.”

When it came to working with Schwartz, Ansari told me, ”We’d known each other for years from the UCB Theater in New York, so I was excited when he did that part. He’s just so funny. It’s always fun when he gets to come back. It just adds a great energy to stuff. It’s just good to have him around. He’s great.”

Tom and Jean-Ralphio probably wouldn’t be described as great influences on one another, but Ansari remarked, “I think Tom needs Jean-Ralphio because he’s probably a little bit too scared to do his own business and run something by himself. I think he just needs someone else there, because he’s scared. I think Tom’s whole thing is about maturing and realizing, ‘Jean-Ralphio’s kind of a clown. Maybe I don’t need to have his antics involved. Maybe he’s kind of bringing s**t down sometimes.’ But yeah, when they’re both together and gung-ho about a terrible idea, those are always really fun scenes.”

Musing about Tom and Jean-Ralphio and whether their friendship is a positive thing, Schwartz remarked, “Oh man, that’s like, is the glass half full or is the glass half empty? I would say that Jean-Ralphio is just like a puppy, he’s just happy, happy puppy. He just wants to be so supportive and so happy all the time, but he’s a douchebag and an idiot. But I think he truly wants Tom to have his big business -- he always gives him his money and all of that stuff, but I think he just loves to be a part of everything. He just loves to be a part of his adventures and things like that. I don’t know what Jean-Ralphio is like without Tom. I’m almost afraid to find out. But when he’s next to Tom, he’s the happiest guy in the universe.”

Schwartz is now a series regular on Showtime’s House of Lies, but said he was very appreciative to hear from fans happy that he’d still be appearing periodically on Parks and Recreation. “I got so many tweets out of nowhere. It was so nice. It’s so fun to be able to drop by, because then I get to be a f**ing idiot. I come in here and get to be as crazy as I want. My favorite thing is [executive producer] Mike Schur always loves when Jean-Ralphio literally pops out of nowhere. There’ll be a scene, and he just pops into frame. He doesn’t even enter. He just appears somehow. There’s a great line that Schur said, ‘As long as there’s a Park and Rec, there’s a Jean-Ralphio,’ which is my favorite thing in the universe.”

Talking about the kindred spirits nature of Tom and Jean-Ralphio, Ansari said, “Tom has some sort of business acumen, in a strange way, but Jean-Ralphio is just crazy. I don’t know, I feel like if Tom said anything, like, ‘Hey, man. We really need to get into playing golf,’ he’d be like, ‘Yes! Golf is the best! You’re so right, Tom. You’re a genius, you’re a genius.’ He just gets really fired up about anything, so I think he just latched on to Tom’s new idea for a business, and then he got all that money when he was run over by a Lexus -- so that helped with seed money.”

Tom and Jean-Ralphio’s biggest endeavor to date was when they formed Entertainment 720, and Schwartz laughed, revealing, “Man, I have so much stuff in my real-life apartment that says Entertainment 720 on it. I stole so many props. Oh my goodness, it was so fun. That was great, because that was a nice little arc that I got to play, play him getting excited. The thing is, he has no idea how to react to things. When they lost all their money, he was just as excited. They were like, ‘Hey, we lost all our money. We only have five-hundred dollars.’ He’s like, ‘Five-hundred dollars!?’ He looks on the bright side of everything somehow.”

T-Boz From TLC Goes In On Nicki Minaj & The Music Industry

t-boz

A graduate of New York’s LaGuardia School Of Music & Arts, Nicki Minaj has risen to become Pop’s most renown Rapper, scoring more US Hot 100 singles than any other Female MC in chart history.

So, by way of her ever engaging public image, FOX’s ‘American Idol’ enlisted the starlet to sit on their Season 12 panel, perhaps hoping to capitalize on her experiences as a Contemporary act.

However, it seems ‘Check My Resume’ singer T-Boz is far from impressed by Idol’s decision to hire Minaj, questioning her ability to judge fresh talent.

On celebrity talent show judges, she explained:

Just because you’re on TV gyrating and boning and sucking penises, it’s not talent, honey. Maybe in the porn industry, but over here, we entertain. I don’t respect half [of] the people I’ve seen lately.
How the hell is she gon’ tell me what I should be doing when her ass can’t even sing. Why is she there? And then…now they’ve got rappers that don’t even sing judging? So, this is totally based off of popularity I guess. I mean, to each their own. Get your money, honey. All I’m saying is, I will never watch [your] shows.

It's time for Olivia to "handle" Abby.

'Scandal' Case Study: Darby Stanchfield Vows Abby and David Will Keep Digging

"Abby has definitely shifted from skepticism to really buying David's conspiracy theory as having some truth to it, so she's all in," the actress tells THR.

All roads, it turns out, do lead to President Fitzgerald Grant.

During Thursday's Scandal, Abby (Darby Stanchfield) and David, deterred by a plant put in place by the "secret circle" to throw the assistant U.S. attorney off of his personal investigation into Quinn Perkins and Olivia Pope.

It turns out that Cytron, the company owned by Texas oil tycoon Hollis Doyle (Gregg Henry), was more than an Internet security company and developed software that Quinn's late boyfriend was working on that was unofficially used for voting machines.

While Supreme Court Justice Verna Thornton (Debra Mooney) pulls strings to get David (Joshua Malina) back to work and off the circle's trail -- he's told he can come back only on the condition that he give it up -- Cyrus is tasked with keeping his husband James (Dan Bucatinsky) -- now back at work as a reporter covering the White House -- away from the thickening plot.

In the meantime, Abby stumbles onto the fact that Huck (Guillermo Diaz) was responsible for David's "source" being a plant designed to disprove his emerging theories about Cytron and its ties to Quinn (Katie Lowes), Olivia (Kerry Washington) and company and tells David to continue on with the investigation.

And it gets worse from there. Olivia takes on the case of a cunning Maryland governor -- who it turns out lost the presidential race to Fitz by a few thousand votes -- who ultimately confesses to murdering his wife's lover after she was having an affair. After learning the news, she gets another landmine: not only is she aware of David and Abby's relationship but thanks to a bug in David's apartment, learns that they're not buying the plant.

The Hollywood Reporter caught up with Darby Stanchfield to discuss how Abby and David will continue to work together to uncover the truth about Quinn's case and why Olivia has taken such a vested interest in it.

The Hollywood Reporter: How will Abby and David continue to work together now that she knows David's source was a plant?

Darby Stanchfield: Abby has definitely shifted from skepticism to really buying David's conspiracy theory as having some truth to it, so she's all in. Also, David and Abby are really digging each other, so there are a couple levels they continue "working together" well. At least for now. (Laughs.)

Keeping in mind that she learned Huck got to David's source, how will that alter her relationship with him?
As you know from the end of 205, that discovery rocked Abby's world. It adds another level to Abby's questioning Olivia and suspecting foul play. It only adds immense pressure to a bomb primed to explode in an epic way.

With David back at work on the condition that he drop his investigation into Quinn and Olivia, might Abby take a more leading role? How will she adjust to knowing she's working against her own colleagues?

Abby gets more involved for sure. It's delicious because there are serious stakes for both Abby and David not to get caught investigating this case and also not to get caught carrying on a relationship together. It's complex for Abby -- she feels great sorrow because Olivia, her closest friend, and her work family appear to be something other than Gladiators in suits. Yet it's mixed with a deep bliss in finding a "good guy" for once in her life. It's literally bittersweet.

Olivia knows that Abby and David are not only an item but are investigating the "secret circle," vowing to handle the fact that they're aware David's source was a plant. What will Olivia and Abby's confrontation look like?

(Laughs) I wondered the same thing, but I'll remind you one of the brilliant qualities of Shonda Rhimes and the Scandal writers' styles with this show is they often veer off from telling the story in a linear fashion. So the answer is -- not at all in a way your linear mind suspects. (Laughs.) It gets crazy nuts and my heart races just thinking about it!

How secure is Abby's job with Olivia Pope & Associates? Is she worried that her investigation could threaten her job there or is it a case of keep your friends close and your enemies closer?
It's all of the above. Abby is, by nature, a truth seeker. It's been said that Abby is the moral compass of Olivia Pope. This quest for the truth goes beyond loyalty to Olivia. Abby's a dog with a bone. She's in big trouble and possible danger because it's not clear who is friend or foe at this point.

Nikita's Melinda Clarke Reveals Amanda's Owen-Torturing Past and Killer New 'Do'

Nikita's Amanda is dusting off her torture skills.

On Friday's episode (9/8c, The CW), when Amanda (Melinda Clarke) returns to bust Owen (Devon Sawa) out of a Russian prison, fans will learn more about their shared past. "She very specifically targets Owen. He had a life before Division, but when he came to Division, Amanda got her hands on him," Clarke tells TVGuide.com. "The torture machine that Amanda tried on Birkhoff last year - that was not the first time she's used it. So, Amanda has definitely been an integral part in who Owen is today."

In typical Nikita fashion, these revelations of a character's past will set the stage for events later during the season. "There's such a history to Division, thousands of things that either happened first or will be happening. It's the ultimate chess game this season," Clarke says.

Apparently, part of Amanda's wicked strategy is an intimidating makeover. The former Division head has traded in her seductress garb -- long hair, cocktail dresses and high heels -- for a look that includes a severe, angled bob and clothes reflecting her vicious agenda. "When we came up with the look and the angled hair, one of the producers said, 'It looks like a weapon,'" Clarke says. "Ultimately, that is what we were going for. And she's wearing leather and skin-tight pants and high-heeled boots. It's a completely different wardrobe from what Amanda's ever had."

Dressing for success seems to be working. Well, that and having one of those infamous black boxes that houses every morsel of Division's past missions and operatives. "I started equating it to the ultimate black American Express [card]," Clarke says. "She's using it in every possible way. Essentially it's her tool to help her build up again."

Using the black box to find Owen is just a warm-up for Amanda's ultimate torture victim this season: Nikita (Maggie Q). After all, Amanda has a lot of anger and resentment to lay at Nikita's doorstep. Not only is she responsible for this season's role reversal - Amanda is now rogue while Nikita's gang is running the shiny, new, President-approved Division - but in last year's season finale, Nikita also killed Amanda's twisted kindred spirit, the evil mastermind Percy (Xander Berkeley).

"Amanda created what she considers her family: Division," Clarke explains. "There was a true liking and respect and love in the relationship between Nikita and Amanda. When Nikita ultimately left, of course Amanda felt betrayed. I think Amanda's point of view is, 'No, you're not allowed to do that. I'm still your mother. If you've taken this step to betray me, you will learn what real betrayal is. I need to teach you or punish you.'
"But it's very rational and very logical to Amanda," she adds. "There's nothing weird or crazy about it at all. Ultimately, for her own good, Nikita needs to suffer."

Dirrty Girl: Christina Aguilera Unleashed Her ‘Kinky Side’ On Vanessa Hudgens!

christina aguilera vanessa hudgens

They were both child stars who got their big break on the Disney Channel.

But Christina Aguilera wanted to have something else in common with Vanessa Hudgens -- her boyfriend. According to a new report, the 31-year-old mom wanted Hudgens to “come back home with her” and beau, Matt Rutler.

The cheeky ex-Voice coach allegedly hit on the High School Musical actress at a Beverly Hills party, according to the new issue ofStar magazine.

A source tells Star that the Dirrty threesome proposal came last month at the Samsung Galaxy Note II launch bash, which was held at a private residence.

The fellow reveler said Aguilera looked like “a hot mess in black stretch pants and wrinkled white T-shirt.”  “There were vodka bottles strewn all over her table, and she seemed to be glued to them," the source said.

“Eventually Matt looked like he had taken on the role of babysitter."  The atmosphere heated up when Aguilera reportedly put the moves on Hudgens.

The source says: “She spent a lot of time on the dance floor gyrating next to Vanessa, who looked like she was having fun with the situation in a good-natured way. And the more Christina drank, the more her kinky side seemed to come out.

“It really seemed like she was playing the role of seductress – with Vanessa as her target!”

But Hudgens refused to go home with Aguilera and her boyfriend of two years.

“Out of the blue [Christina] stumbled over to Vanessa and begged her to come back home with her and Matt!” the partygoer tells Star. “Vanessa was taken aback but smiled and politely declined the offer.”

Jennifer Aniston Pregnant? Why She’s Always the Target of Pregnancy Rumors

$

It seems that Jennifer Aniston is "pregnant" again---at least according to tabloids. Every few months or so, these phantom baby bump stories pop up on the Internet, prompting fans to look for evidence that she's got a bun in the oven.

As Aniston has yet to give birth, it's obvious that these stories are designed to titillate fans and critics. Even Jen acknowledged the obsession with a tongue-in-cheek approach in a Smartwater ad. Before the arrival of baby Blue Ivy, Beyonce was often the subject of these rumors. Why is it that Jennifer (more so than other celebs) is besieged by phantom baby bump stories? Consider these theories.

She's engaged.
Finally, after dating several Hollywood suitors, Jen found her match in Justin Theroux, her "Wanderlust" co-star. Some considered the hook-up a rebound thing. But it soon became obvious that the two had latched onto one another for the long haul. Theroux proposed to the "Friends" actress in August 2012. Since sporting a baby bump while engaged seems to be a Hollywood trend, it's only natural that Jennifer's fans expect to see her with one as well.

Brangelina's brood is huge.
Yes, we're still linking Jennifer Aniston to all things labeled "Brangelina."Perhaps for the rest of her life we'll always reference the gorgeous pair (Pitt and Jolie) whenever Jennifer does anything remotely interesting. As such, with Brad and Angie toting their six children all over the globe, we wonder when Jen will start the family she's said to desire.

She's in her 40s.
When Brad and Jen were married, the world waited with bated breath for the golden pair to procreate. But rumors swirled that "The Good Girl" star wasn't quite ready to slow down her career to have kids. Today, at 43 years old, she seems likely to join the dozens of celebs who welcome children in their 40s.

Baby Bump Mania
We can't stop talking about Jennifer's hair, her red carpet cleavage, her bikini pics, or anything related to the fresh-faced beauty's physique. We're simply dying to see what Aniston would look like with that Mommy-to-be glow. Would she peel off the pregnancy pounds like a Victoria's Secret model? Or would she join those who have relied on weight loss programs to re-sculpt their post-baby bodies? Maybe we're merely interested to see what kind of maternal skills the rom-com queen actually has. Is there any truth to these latest rumors? Only time (and perhaps several oversized blouses) will tell.

Ariel Winter's Mother Claims She Blocked Statutory Rape; E Publishes "Who's-Who" Guide

Ariel Winter's Mother: I Didn't Abuse My Daughter, I Blocked Statutory Rape

"Modern Family" star Ariel Winter's mother insists she did NOT abuse her daughter -- claiming 14-year-old Ariel is making up stories ... because her mother wouldn't let her engage in a sexual act with her 18-year-old boyfriend.

Ariel's mom Chrystal Workman released a statement today, saying ... “I love my daughter very much. I would never abuse her in anyway and I have always tried my best to always protect her and do what is right for her."

She explained, "My fourteen-year-old daughter has been dating an eighteen-and-a-half-year-old man, and when I caught them engaging in behavior that I feel my daughter is too young mentally and physically to understand and fully grasp I put a stop to it immediately."

Chrystal doesn't identify the boyfriend ... but says she filed a report with the LA County Sheriff's Department "because legally he is an adult and if he wants to engage in adult behavior with a minor than [sic] he should also be ready to suffer adult consequences for his actions."

According to the incident report, Chrystal walked in on Ariel and the boyfriend in bed, in the guest room of her home ... on Sept. 24 at around 10pm.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ the Sheriff's Special Victims' Bureau does have an open investigation into Chrystal's allegations.

However, TMZ has learned ... Chrystal's report wasn't filed until 2 weeks after the alleged incident -- and 5 days AFTER she lost custody of Ariel.

TMZ broke the story ... the 14-year-old actress, who plays Alex Dunphy on 'MF', was removed from her mother's care by a judge in the wake of serious allegations of physical and emotional abuse.

Ariel's older sister, Shanelle, now has temporary guardianship of the actress.

Chrystal claims Shanelle only came "out of the woodwork once it was announced that the kids on the show got a big raise recently."

I guess this explains why in the guardianship court papers it says Ariel's lawyer is going to look into whether there needs to be an order restricting contact between Ariel and her boyfriend Cameron Palatas, as a way of addressing the mother's (probably bogus) defense? idk

Inside Modern Family Star Ariel Winter's Family Drama: A Who's-Who Guide

There's nothing funny about Modern Family funnygal Ariel Winter's family travails.

The 14-year-old has been removed from her mother's care following allegations in court documents of physical and emotional abuse, and now the star's adult sister is seeking permanent guardianship over her sibling.

Police have confirmed to E! News that an active investigation is under way but declined to provide additional details. E! News has also learned that the detective handling the case is with the special victims bureau.

Herewith, a guide to the key players in Ariel's family drama.

Ariel Winter: The star, whose full name is Ariel Winter Workman, has been acting in TV and film since she was 7 years old. Since 2005, she's landed a bevy of plum guest-star gigs on shows like Monk, Bones, Nip/Tuck, Criminals Minds and ER, and her voice-over work has perked up everything from Phineas and Ferb to Ice Age to the recent stop-motion gothfest ParaNorman. Ariel shot to fame in 2009 as Alex Dunphy in the Emmy-winning Modern Family, but she's now at the center of a guardianship tug-of-war between her mother and sister over claims of abuse. Reports have also surfaced that Winter's mother is alarmed over her 14-year-old daughter's relationship with 18-year-old actor Cameron Palatas.

The Mother: Chrisoula Workman: According to a guardianship petition filed by Ariel's sister, the star's mother is accused of slapping, hitting and pushing her daughter, as well allegedly subjecting her to verbal abuse and personal insults. The petition also claims that Chrisoula attempted to "sexualize" Ariel and deprive her of food for extended lengths of time. Chrisoula has vehemently denied the allegations, telling E! News, "I want to say the horrible, untrue accusations are false and ridiculous…I have my doctor's letter that my daughter's never been abused…I have stylists' letters that she's never been abused." She's been ordered to stay away from Ariel until the star's guardianship hearing, which is set for Nov. 20. Things weren't always so bad. Just last May, Winter tweeted this message to her mom: "Happy mother's day to one of the most amazing moms in the world. Mine!:) Love you mommy! Happy mother's day everyone!!!"

The Sister: Shanelle Gray: Ariel's 33-year-old sibling is seeking permanent guardianship over her sister and is currently housing the young star during the ordeal. In her petition, Gray asserts that it's imperative she be appointed Ariel's personal guardian not only to safeguard the star's well-being but because their mother currently receives the paychecks from the teen's TV work and oversees a special account earmarked for Ariel until she reaches adulthood, per California law on child actors. (Her estate is currently estimated at $500,000.) Shanelle is requesting that the actress' paychecks be deposited into to a new bank account that their mother won't have access to. Shanelle declined to discuss the case, telling E! News, "It is not appropriate for me to comment on this." Looks like she may be privy to what Ariel is going through: Sources tell E! News that Shanelle was herself taken out of her mother's home at the age of 12 and placed with her grandmother.

The Brother: Jimmy Workman: An actor himself, Jimmy, who famously starred as Pugsley Addams in the big-screen remake of The Addams Family, denied accusations of abuse leveled against their mother. "Their allegations are not true," he told Entertainment Tonight, before alluding to his sister's purported relationship with Palatas. "This is stemming over a boy that is overage, dating my little sister, and my family had no idea about until the end part of it." He also refuted reports that Shanelle had been similarly removed from their home as a youngster following her own claims of abuse. "I was there 20 years ago. I'm almost 32. That stuff didn't happen," he insisted.

The Father: Glenn Workman: In her guardianship petition, Shanelle—who was appointed Ariel's temporary guardian on Oct. 3—claims that their father is estranged from the star and that he is incapable of properly caring for her. Thus far, Glenn's remained silent throughout the family rancor.

The Boyfriend: Cameron Palatas:
The 18-year-old is an actor who stars in the Disney series A.N.T. Farm and has made cameos in TV series like iCarly. Per published reports, he and Ariel have been dating for six months, and back in August, Ariel acknowledged they were an item, tweeting, "And thank you to everyone who is supportive of me and @cameronpalatas. It really means a lot. Love y'all!" Their relationship is, Jimmy claims, at the center of the star's discord with her mother.

Lark Voorhies, famous for playing Lisa Turtle on the 90s hit Saved By The Bell, denies she's suffering from bipolar disorder in a bizarre new interview with Entertainment Tonight, and we've got all the details for you right here on RadarOnline.

Lark, who says she’s not seeing a doctor, tells ET she was duped by People magazine, who she says initially pitched their recent story about her -- an investigation into her battle with mental illness -- as a profile piece.

"It is a small u …opinionata that is getting blown currently out of proportions," she told ET's Christina McLarty. "I have no stating reasons why anyone should worry about me. Clearly, I am a very strong, top-of-the line, always riding to it personage.

"I have no worries myself, nor do I exude, exhibit or possess within my living stratus any reason why someone should worry [on] my behalf -- it's completely fictional. You know, you put all the right elements together and you keep them going...we have to be entertainers. This is our particular angle."

People, saying they spent hours with the actress and her loved ones, said, "We stand by our story."

The former "United States of Tara" co-stars will recur on the Aaron Sorkin drama.

HBO is adding staffers to The Newsroom.

The Aaron Sorkin drama has enlisted Rosemarie DeWitt and Patton Oswalt as recurring players for its sophomore season, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

Oswalt will play Jonas Pfeiffer, the new vice president of human resources at cable network Atlantis Cable News, while DeWitt will portray Rebecca Halliday, a litigator brought in to defend the network in a wrongful termination lawsuit.

The casting marks a reunion for Oswalt and DeWitt, who played a couple on the Showtime dramedy United States of Tara.

Oswalt, repped by CAA, Generate and Ginsburg Daniels, most recently had an arc on CBS' Two and a Half Men and HBO's Bored to Death. ICM Partners, Wishlab and Ziffren Brittenham-repped DeWitt's credits include Mad Men and the feature The Odd Life of Timothy Green.

A return date for Newsroom has yet to be determined.

'The Following' releases new poster + adds more cast members

The Following just might be the next big thing. Adding some major hotties to the cast isn’t hurting things, either. There’s always room for Mike Colter and Warren Kole, if you ask me.

Hey, there were already some very beautiful people on the cast list. Justified actress Natalie Zea simply smolders on the screen and Maggie Grace, soon to be seen by millions of Twi-hards in Breaking Dawn part two, is just beautiful. Oops, I failed to mention that she’s Liam Neeson’s daughter in Taken 2.

The latest news is that Mike Colter and Warren Kole have been added to the series. Colter was last spotted on Ringer, also known as the short-lived CW series starring Buffy the Vampire Slayer actress Sarah Michelle Gellar. The TV Line exclusive revealed that he’ll be playing a high-ranking FBI official by the name of Nick Donovan. I’m thinking he’ll be one of Bacon’s superiors. He had a good chemistry with Gellar on the set of Ringer. Of course, because she was playing a pair of twins, like four other male actors were also developing chemistry with the star.

As for actor Warren Kole, you might just know him as Detective Wes Mitchell from USA’s series, Common Law. You have probably guessed by now that if Kevin Bacon is the good guy, then James Purefoy is our devious killer. TV Line also detailed that Kole will play one the serial killer’s disciples. Villainy hasn’t looks this good since Christian Bale’s knife wielding in American Psycho. Apparently Kole’s will be a key role. It isn’t just anyone who can be trusted as the lead gopher for a mastermind. He’ll be tricky and sinister.
