Watchmen Is Getting an R-Rated Animated Adaptation

A recent survey from Warner Bros revealed they are planning on making an R-rated animated adaptation of Watchmen. They described it as “A faithful adaptation of the Watchmen graphic novel executed in an animation style that mirrors the source material.” The film will be direct to video.

James Gray is an acclaimed American director who has had 4 movies compete for the Palme d'Or at Cannes but his movies struggle financially and he has a hard time getting them made:

You know, people assume that because I’m a director, I make tons of money. I am struggling financially. Now, I’m very lucky I get to do what it is I want to do. I’ve made, good or bad, very uncompromising movies, the movies exactly that I wanted to make, and that’s a beautiful gift, so I’m not complaining about that. But I struggle. I have a hard time paying my bills. I’m 47 years old, I live in an apartment, I can’t buy a house. If I were coming of age in 1973, I would be in Bel Air. The whole reason for this is exactly what we were talking about, where the middle is gone. So now you have franchises, and you have, ‘I made a movie on my iPhone.’ This is the economic system in a nutshell, right? Five directors make Marvel, and then there’s the rest of us who are trying to scrounge around to find the money to make films. And it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy: If the audience only gets to see Marvel, then they only want Marvel, and then if they only want Marvel, only Marvel is made. I don’t even have a problem with Marvel. The problem is not the specifics of each movie, the problem is it’s the only movie you can see now in a multiplex, and when it’s the only game in town, you’re looking at the beginning of the death throes of an art form.

This is already the most important season they've ever done, especially in this day and age. Sana's opening shots include topics such as The Election of Donald Trump, Syria, The Women’s March 2017 and The Burkini Incident in France. There is a scene where Sana performs the Wudhu (ablution), which is needs to be done, before reading the Salah and that, that scene needs to be talked about.



Yousef body rolling to The Weeknd is the highlight of 402.1 imo, the clip has been translated and is circulating around! So far, here is a timeline of everything that's been released. Doesn't look like there's going to be an update today besides Noora's instagram post!

Meghan Markle has reportedly ended her relationship with Canadian fashion retailer Reitmans, causing a flurry of speculation among British tabloids that the “Suits” star is tying up all loose ends in preparation for an engagement announcement as her relationship with Prince Harry continues to heat up. - It is speculated that she is realigning her public life in preparation for an engagement to Prince Harry.
- She was offered a large sum in December to renew her contract but surprised Reitmans by refusing to sign it.
- Markle’s section on the Reitmans website seems to confirm the report as met by a “This collection is no longer available" message.
- Reitman's is already offering the chiffon bow “Date Night” dress from her collection for $4.19; it was once priced at $80.00.

Billboard+ others praise Harry for shattering gender norms+environmental awareness with album cover

According to Billboard, Harry's cover challenges gender norms, noting that
- "the popular headline to describe the image was “topless,” usually a gendered term to connote an exposed cis woman’s chest" and that there's something "distinctly feminine" about his cover
- They point out that the image of him being in water is "almost uniquely femme" and that it's usually female pop stars pictured in water and that, "when men do so, it’s usually those with some gender-bending and/or queer qualities (think George Michael)"
- Harry has "always had femme-like qualities" and the water being a pink blush color just enhances that.
They point out the color of the water also plays into the environmental connection
- Historically, pink water is a type of water found only in "toxic environments" its color being "discharged in situations of demilitarization"
- They point out Harry is in a upcoming World War 2 film and that "bathing in what could be considered war waste gives off a distinct message" especially when it fits with his debut single “Sign of the Times” which "feels like a song about the end of the world"


- the aesthetic Harry went for is "stereotypically—feminine" sending "soft, delicate vibes" instead of a "strong masculinity" feel.
- he's "shattering gender norms" by "showing men can be just as delicate and soft as women"
- his pink cover is proving that men can "be more “feminine”, too, and it’s perfectly okay"
The article also points out that Harry has broken gender norms often before, like when he went to the Another Man magazine launch party wearing nail polish, has had his long hair, and has written gender neutral songs and interview answers.

Tuna was drinking and snorting it up at the Interscope House when he met up with his new teen friend. God knows what they talked about.

Meanwhile, Kylie could not be bothered and threw her own exclusive event.

  • Is annoyed because the big agencies know how much the male stars are getting offered so they should negotiate equal deals for their female clients

  • Instead of negotiating based on what they offer her, she now asks how much they are paying the male actors and negotiates on that salary

  • In the past says producers would offer her a role, but then not negotiate salary until they had found male actors and negotiated with them so she would end up getting the scraps of whatever they had left in their budget. Now will only sign on if they include a clause that male actors can't get paid more than her.

  • Recently turned down a big studio movie because the male lead was getting a lot more. At first had doubts about what she did but realized that it's better in the long run because people will know not to offer her less money than the actor is getting

-Says she has a huge respect for pop music, and feels just as moved by "Teenage Dream" by Katy Perry as she does a David Bowie or Fleetwood Mac song
-Rented a house on a remote island to write songs for her new album so she could escape distractions
-The album is mainly inspired by her breakup with photographer James Lowe in 2015, and the good and bad parts of being alone
-Wrote the lyrics to the entire album out on paper, and then color coded each line by theme to make sure the album was balanced
-Worked with Jack Antonoff on the entire album, and says they know each other so well now they can basically communicate telepathically

Rihanna went to Mexico with her whole entourage to celebrate Melissa's birthday last week. She was photographed in a bikini looking visibly thicker. Of course some men on Twitter had the nerve to share their trash opinions saying Rih got fat & she needs to lose weight lol SMDH.

The guy who originally posted it has now put his Twitter profile on private due to the backlash he's received. There were some other men agreeing with him but their tweets are not even worthy embedding.
