The Hives for Musikhjälpen

Musikhjälpen is a Swedish week long live radio and TV broadcast. The mission is to create awarness and raise money for a humanitarian cause.
Musikhjälpen is held for one week in the middle of December, broadcasted around the clock for seven days. Each year, three famous personalities host the show, broadcasted from a glass house studio located at a public space in a Swedish city. This year the program is hosted by comedian Kodjo Akolor and musicians Pelle "Howlin' Pelle" Almqvist from The Hives and Josefine "Little Jinder" Jinder. The audience request songs, donating money to the cause while doing so. There are also a vast number of initiatives held around Sweden, each one with the mission to collect money to the cause; Musikhjälpen engage thousands upon thousands of people each year.
Artists and celebrities also visit the studio to perform music, as well as auctioning off various items.
Keeping children in education during wars and other emergencies is a life-saving priority for children and their families.
That’s not just our view: families themselves consistently prioritise education at times of crisis. They know that it helps their children to keep some sense of normality in otherwise stressful circumstances, and improves the prospects for recovery and longer-term wellbeing.
But right now more than 75 million children and young people (aged 3-18) are out of school in 35 crisis-affected countries. And less than 2% of global humanitarian aid goes towards education.
Even when children are able to access education in conflict-affected countries there are huge challenges – like overcrowded classrooms, lack of teachers and resources, and violence in or on-route to school.
At War Child we see protecting children’s right to education as a central part of our response to a crisis.
Education provides physical and psychosocial protection that can save and sustain lives.

Diane Kruger Supports Norman Reedus at Paris Photo Show
Diane Kruger showed up to support her Sky co-star (and rumored reason-behind-her-split-from-Joshua-Jackson) Norman Reedus at an exhibition of his photography in Paris.
The Walking Dead star exhibited both new work and some photographs from his published collection The Sun's Coming Up...Like a Big Bald Head.
“It’s sort of a yearbook of my life. Every single photo has a completely different story,” Reedus told Variety. “I’ve had a lot of opportunity to travel to a lot of cool places I wouldn’t have been able to if I wasn’t acting. I started doing a lot of interviews about Greg Nicotero’s work and what made his zombies scary and monsters scary. It had a lot to do with seeing the lives lost behind the monster. I would ride my motorcycle through Georgia to work and there’s so much roadkill in Georgia that I sorta stopped and started doing portraits of roadkill. I could see the same sort of scared animal behind that.”

The Walking Dead Tops TV Ratings So Far This Season
Halfway through its seventh year, The Walking Dead is the number one show on television for the fifth season in a row, averaging 16.1 million viewers in the live+3 ratings. Sunday's mid-season finale brought in 15.2 million viewers.
It ranks third in overall viewers behind NCIS and The Big Bang Theory, but easily topped both of those shows in the key adult 18-49 demographic that sets advertising costs. TWD drew an average of 10.1 million viewers in the 18-49 group in its first 8 episodes of the season.
TWD faced competition this season from HBO's hot new drama Westworld, and possibly as a result its DVR and online viewership has risen 46 percent over last season.
Viewership for TWD actually declined 10% from the second half of season six, but overall, dramas on ad-supported networks are down 23% this year, so TWD's decline is not as severe as most.
The Walking Dead airs in approximately 125 countries, and its international ratings continue to rise. In Great Britain, ratings are up 11% over last season.
In addition, Talking Dead remains television’s #1 talk show, averaging 5.5 million viewers and 3.3 million adults 18-49 in season seven.

Cat admits she was an entitled asshole who was always high on PCP and got hugely rewarded for it.
