Demi created a GoFundMe account to help raise money for the mother of her best friend, Marissa. Marissa's mom was recently diagnosed with breast cancer, and presumably, the account is raising money to help cover her treatment and care. Demi and Marissa have been best friends since they were kids, and have remained close to this day.

It has been an intense week for Shakira fans. After two years without new music (which isn't too bad I guess, since we're used to an average four), this week we finally got a snippet of a song she did with French rapper Black M, and she revealed the name, length and cover art of her new single featuring Pretty Boy Dirty Boy.

French rapper Black M revealed a snippet of a song he did with Shakira. It's a bilingual French/English collaboration with some reggeaton influences and will appear in his new album, out October 28.

Shakira also shared with her fans the cover of her new song, "Chantaje:"

The new song allegedly premieres tomorrow, even though Shakira's camp hasn't officially confirmed or denied it. Sources in the Shakira Media Forums first came up with the scoop (via a Colombian Sony executive) and then other publications have echoed it. This will be Shakira's first single for her upcoming Spanish album, which release date hasn't been yet announced.

And on top of everything, just today Good Morning America announced that Shakira and Carlos Vives will be performing at the American Music Awards on November 20. They'll be showing the US people the real meaning of a song of the summer by performing their hit "La Bicicleta."

Sevyn Streeter was scheduled to sing the national anthem in the 76ers' season opening game with OKC but minutes before she was supposed to start, she was told that she wouldn't be allowed to sing in the shirt. Instead, they had a dance team member take her place.

"I was angry, extremely, extremely angry, and disappointed and honestly brought to tears by all of it. It broke my heart,'' she said. "Honestly, I was very excited about being able to perform the national anthem. I was really looking forward to that."

The team wouldn't comment on their reasoning for cancelling her performance but released this statement: "The Philadelphia 76ers organization encourages meaningful actions to drive social change. We use our games to bring people together, to build trust and to strengthen our communities. As we move from symbolic gestures to action, we will continue to leverage our platform to positively impact our community,"

The NBA had no comment.

12-year-old Naomi Oakes got to meet Taylor Swift this past weekend.

Naomi, whose cancer is now in remission, created a video last year called "Naomi's Bad Blood" which went viral and caught Taylor Swift's attention.

After having seen the video, Taylor Swift donated $50k to Naomi's GoFundMe to help Naomi in her fight against cancer.
