a sub-caterogy of pop music where its straight bops & bangers, like just straight to the fuckin point, might mention bjs, pannies, dick, ass, and stuff that otherwise mainstream pop wont dare gurl, it usually features a sole female singer, usually moderately to super attractive, usually scantily clad, usually not needing aretha level vocals (mariah carey subverted this i guess)
slut-pop probably goes back as far as popular music does but for times sake i'll start in the 70s, the musicality of slutpop in the 70s was that of softness, it was almosty shy, demure, blurry, tender, it wasn't brash, it was hinted, it was feminine. the pioneer of the genre, donna summer (who doesn't get enough credit when were talking about popular music in general) really initiated the genre as we know it today, she started the template of an artist being mostly produced by someone else, being a muse of sorts, giving u visuals, and she turned out the music industry with "love to love you" ushering in an era of pop gorls being more sexually free in appearance, lyrically and perfomance-wise
