‘Taken 2′ Trailer: Liam Neeson is Back Doing What He Does Best

0
0

Liam Neeson officially became an onscreen action movie badass with the slow-burn success of the 2008/2009 film, Taken. Starring as Bryan Mills, an ex-CIA operative who comes crashing into the European sex-trafficking underworld to save his abducted daughter, the actor (who was in his late ’50s at the time) opened up a whole new lane for his acclaimed career.

With Taken 2, Neeson will be pushing age sixty, but that fact is seemingly irrelevant, as the official Taken 2 trailer proves that Mr. Neeson is as badass as ever.

Unlike the Taken 2 international trailers which provided a first taste of the sequel’s flavor, this domestic trailer starts things off on a happy note (rather than an ominous one). We see Mills and his (estranged?) family – ex-wife Lenore (Famke Janssen) and daughter Kim (Maggie Grace) – meeting up in Istanbul for an impromptu vacation, never realizing that the proverbial Sword of Damocles is dangling overhead. Every action provokes an equal and opposite reaction, and the ass-kicking that Mills did in the first film has left relatives of the dispatched Albanian sex-traffickers very sore, indeed. When the crooks come looking for payback, they try to use Bryan’s family as bait – a plan that is only partially successful.

The beauty of Taken 2 is that – unlike, say, Die Hard 2 - there is no major contrivance at work to put the main character in circumstances similar to what he experienced in the first film. Instead, screenwriter/producer Luc Besson and his frequent collaborator Robert Mark Kamen (The Fifth Element, The Transporter) have created a logical and organic way to continue the story. There’s even a great moment in the trailer where we can see the possiblity of Taken 3, as Mills – on the phone with his enemy – makes the observation that even he kills this new wave of baddies, their kin will inevitably rise up for vengeance…and will be promptly killed as well.

Tiffani Thiessen Reveals She Lost Her Virginity At 14 To Her Older 19 Year Old Boyfriend!!!

0
0

Tiffani Thiessen went on the Howard Stern Show this morning to promote the 4th season of USA’s White Collar, and passed along two rather noteworthy bits of information

(1) She lost her virginity at age 14, and (2) The guy she lost it to was her 19-YEAR-OLD BOYFRIEND, with whom she had a FIVE YEAR RELATIONSHIP.

I would like to bring up one point: SHE PULLED A REAL LIFE KAPOWSKI. Kelly was always ending up with older creeps on the show, most notably (a) the infuriatingly-coiffed diner manager Jeff, who dated his high school student employee despite being old enough to legally drink alcohol at The Attic, and (b) the noted dipshit weasel lawyer Brian Hanson, who wooed a rising high school senior during her vacation to Hawaii even though he had already finished law school and earned enough money to afford both a Porsche and sweet yacht.

Anyway, the clip of Tiffani Thiessen discussing all of that is below. If there’s one thing we can all be sure of, it’s that the 19-year-old dude who started a five year long sexual relationship with a 14-year-old way back when is a healthy and well-adjusted adult today.

So says a woman who came to us this afternoon with an offer to "submit some risque photos of Danell Leyva." The woman asked for nothing in return. She says she had "some in underwear and some nudes" of the 20-year-old Miami native, some of which have already appeared on the internet. The woman says Leyva had "sorta played" her on a promised photo exchange, and that he's done this to other women, too.

Before long, the woman sent us the images you see above and below, adding this: "Would it be possible to see how it goes with those pics and then decide to send the nude or not?" To which we responded, "Sure."

Police arrest teenager over Tom Daley Twitter message

A 17-year-old has been arrested after malicious Twitter messages were sent to Olympic diver Tom Daley.

Dorset Police confirmed they were looking into a tweet which accused him of letting his late father down.

Daley and his partner Pete Waterfield missed out on a medal for Great Britain when they finished fourth in the men's synchronised 10m platform diving.

Shortly afterwards, Daley retweeted a post which said: "You let your dad down i hope you know that."

Daley responded by tweeting: "After giving it my all...you get idiot's sending me this..."

A Dorset police statement said: "A 17-year-old man was arrested by Dorset Police officers in the early hours this morning at a guesthouse in the Weymouth area on suspicion of malicious communications.

"He is currently helping police with their inquiries."

Tom Daley's father Rob died last year from brain cancer.

Speaking before the London Olympics, Daley revealed his father gave him "all the inspiration" that he needed.

The 18-year-old said: "Winning a medal would make all the struggles that I've had worthwhile.

"It's been my dream since a very young age to compete at an Olympics.

"I'm doing it for myself and my dad. It was both our dreams from a very young age.

"I always wanted to do it and dad was so supportive of everything.

"It would make it extra special to do it for him."

henry hopper (dennis hopper’s son) accused of raping a 15 year old girl

Dennis Hopper's 21-year-old son has been accused of raping a 15-year-old girl ... after plying her with drugs and alcohol ... this according to a lawsuit obtained by TMZ.

Henry Hopper -- who starred in Gus Van Zant's "Restless" in 2011 -- is being sued by the mother of an unidentified 16-year-old girl ... who claims the girl met Hopper through a mutual friend in Feb. 2011.

According to the legal papers, the girl -- identified in the lawsuit as Jan Doe -- claims the two began to communicate on Facebook ... and in the months that followed, Hopper invited her to his home in Venice, CA on multiple occasions with the promise of drugs and alcohol.

In the suit, Doe claims Hopper would wait until she was intoxicated ... and "engaged in sexually offensive conduct with her” ... including sexual intercourse, forced oral copulation and sodomy.

It's unclear if Doe ever reported the allegations to police.

In the suit, Doe's lawyer claims the actor "preyed upon a young impressionable child, suggesting that he cared for her, luring her into his home with promises of alcohol and illegal drugs, and then repeatedly taking advantage of her youth an vulnerability.”

Doe's mother claims the girl suffered significant injuries to her emotional health, strength and activity ... and was required to employ multiple mental health care professionals for treatment.

She's suing for unspecified damages.

Attempts to reach Hopper were unsuccessful.

Robert Pattinson's fans are expected to boycott the future films of Kristen Stewart after the actress cheated on her boyfriend with married director Rupert Sanders. The 22-year-old actress, who plays Bella Swan in the vampire series opposite Edward Cullen (played By Pattinson), recently admitted that she had cheated on her partner with 'Snow White And The Huntsman' filmmaker, reported Sun online.

"Kristen's the most hated woman in Hollywood. Female moviegoers have been looking for a reason not to like her and now they have it. "Lots of Rob's huge army of female fans will boycott her films. It's going to be a long road for her to come back, professionally as well as personally," a source said.

Meanwhile, Pattinson has nobody to talk to about his relationship problems and has been drinking with fellow guests at the hotel where he is temporarily staying. The 26-year-old actor has moved out of the Los Angeles home he shared with Stewart.

"He's been spending most of his days off just playing
computer games,"

Tom Continues His PR Comeback Tour featuring Suri "Scout" Cruise "Holmes"

0
0

With Katie Holmes having primary custody of Suri, Tom Cruise has been making the most of his now-limited time with the 6-year-old by planning elaborate daddy-daughter outings. The latest? A visit to Walt Disney World.

The 50-year-old movie megastar brought his New York City-based daughter to the Lake Buena Vista, Florida, theme park on Monday where they visited the Magic Kingdom. Accompanied by his sister Cass Mapother and their own VIP park attendant, Tom and Suri — who was dressed in an Ariel costume from "The Little Mermaid" — took in the attractions.

Sadly, Tom did not dress as Flounder or Sebastian. [OP: Gay fish joke in here somewhere...]

"Suri looked like she was in heaven," Disney-goer Marianne Cohen of Tampa told People. "It was really cute. She was walking around like she owned the place, having the time of her life, and Tom, who looked really handsome was talking to her, was really engaging with her."

Before Katie Holmes pulled the plug on her marriage to Tom late last month, the family made several trips together to "The Happiest Place on Earth." In 2009, Suri made a big splash at Disney World during a visit with her parents and brother Connor Cruise (from Tom's marriage to Nicole Kidman). The then-2-year-old wore a couple of different outfits for that trip — first, she dressed as Belle from "Beauty and the Beast" and then Cinderella — and got up close and personal with Mickey and Minnie Mouse.

Tom and Suri enjoyed a previous father-daughter day at Disney. In January of this year, they went by themselves to Disneyland in Anaheim, California, where they checked out the Jungle Cruise in Adventureland and spun around in the tea cups on the Mad Tea Party ride. Tom also let Suri get her face painted with pink-and-red hearts.

Since Tom and Katie signed their quickie divorce agreement earlier this month, it seems that Suri is living two very different lifestyles with each parent. Katie has been taking the girl on low-key trips to Manhattan parks, zoos, and museums, using cabs to get to the various destinations. Meanwhile, Tom — who doesn't get to spend as much time with Suri — has been planning more elaborate outings. In addition to flying her to Florida to visit Walt Disney World, he dropped over $6,000 just to charter a helicopter to transport Suri to the tony Hamptons in Long Island, New York, where they spent the day at the beach.

This is a Sinbad post

0
0

ITV lowered its game quite magnificently on the first weekend of the BBC and RTE2's saturation Olympics coverage by filling its schedule with wheezing repeats of Midsomer Murders, Marple and A Touch of Frost.

It might just as well have thrown a sweat-stained towel into the middle of the screen and screamed, "Take me, Clare Balding, I'm yours!"

Channel 4 (more of which presently) hasn't tried much harder and as for RTE1's weekend flagship Saturday Night with Miriam, well: let's just say it's never nice to speak ill of the dead.

Which pretty much leaves us with the dismal Sinbad, Sky 1's retooling of the old Arabian Nights staple, filmed at considerable expense in Morocco and given some post-production polish by the Dublin office of Impossible Pictures.

I don't think Sinbad is aimed at me, since I gave up being a 12-year-old boy a long time ago. Whether 12-year-old boys think it's aimed at them, however, is moot. Sinbad has been sailing along for several weeks now and it's easy to see why it's not caused much of a ripple so far. Pitched at the audience that enjoyed Xena: Warrior Princess and Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, it's a bit on the dull side.

This episode found adventurous sailor Sinbad -- played by a Birmingham-born newcomer called Elliot Knight, who looks like he couldn't run a bath, let alone a ship (WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS COMMENT?!) -- and his motley crew stuck on a becalmed sea under boiling sun.

They spent a great deal of time standing around on deck moaning about how none of them had had more than a sip of water in days, and doing it in a baffling variety of accents and styles.

One moment a dreadlocked young dude who's overdone it on the guyliner is coming on all contemporary London with that annoying, upswinging "Yeah?" at the end; the next a grizzled old Norseman is hammily growling, "Vengeance is a thing of destruction."

After what feels like an eternity, a ghostly ship glides into view. There's a lot of maggots aboard but only one human passenger: a kindly old man who turns out to be the personification of DEATH HIMSELF!

Who knew the personification of DEATH HIMSELF! looked exactly like Timothy Spall?

I guess Sky 1 pays better than Mike Leigh movies.

There were a few decent bits of shivery CGI, but Sinbad is way too po-faced for its own good. It really needs to stick its tongue that bit harder into its cheek.

Sinbad 1.04
Writer:
James Dormer
Director: Andy Wilson

THE ONE WHERE While stuck in a windless sea, the crew of the Providence rescue an old man from a ghost ship, and Nala wishes they hadn’t.

VERDICT Sorry, it’s an obvious gag but Sinbad has well and truly hit the doldrums here. Episode four of a new show seems way too early to resort to obvious budget-scrimping, but that’s what we get here: the nautical equivalent of trapping all your characters in a lift.

Not that this necessarily has to a bad thing in itself. It could have been a chance for the kind of bonding and character building that I’ve been complaining has been missing from the show so far. Alas no. Two or three moments aside, the dialogue remains largely functional, designed to explain the plot and the situation, rather than to let us peer into the souls of these characters and see how they interact. Even when the episode does reveal some background details – as with Nala – it feels more because the story requires it than as a way for us to get to empathise with her better. Tellingly, there’s a scene where Sinbad briefly seems interested in her past, but when she begins to explain it, he loses interest halfway through. Which could be a metaphor for what the audience is feeling.

Because the actual story is very, very dull. Timothy Spall tries his best to give the villain some presence but this has to be one of the most unexciting depictions of the Grim Reaper ever. Why appear as a plump Brummie with bad teeth? Why not something more terrifying or charming? Why play a bunch of cheap parlour tricks on Sinbad and co? Why not just kill them? Or ignore them? It all feels like a half-hearted exercise in filling 45 minutes.

Even the cook, by far the best character aside from Sinbad himself in previous weeks, is rubbish this week, though his chicken impersonation nearly redeems him.

Goodwill towards the show is evaporating fast, and its lack of ability to build any kind of chemistry between its lead characters is laid painfully bare in a story that relies so heavily on those characters. Aside from Sinbad, the cook (usually) and Anwar, the rest of the crew are so much driftwood.

HISTORY LESSON Anicetus is an apt name for Timothy Spall’s character. As mentioned in the show, it does indeed mean unconquerable (it is the Latin spelling of the Greek Anikêtos – one of the sons of Herakles), but it was also the name of a pirate during Roman times.

HISTORY LESSON 2 The ancient Greek considered butterflies as the souls of those who had passed away. Their word for butterfly was “Psyche”.

OUR CONCLUSION The writer of this episode knows how to use Wikipedia as well as we do…

BEST LINES
A tie this week between:

Cook: “Cock-a-doodle-doo. Chicken. Chicken. Chicken…”

And:

Doc: “And there’s his name.”
Sinbad: “Anicetus?”
Gunnar: “Does it mean something?”
Doc: “It means unconquerable.”
Sinbad: “So his parents were optimists…”

Swashbuckling drama Sinbad and ITV2 reality series The Only Way is Essex posted record lows as the Olympics dominated viewing.

Sinbad (Sky1) 7pm-8pm
438k (1.95%)

The fantasy drama remained above Sky 1’s slot average of 365k (1.54%), according to overnight Barb figures supplied by Attentional.

But it was less than half the debut audience of 1.09m (4.61%) that watched on 8 July and proved its lowest audience to date.

The Only Way is Essex (ITV2) 10pm-10.45pm
653k (3.2%) / 141k (1.27%) +1

The sixth series of the constructed reality show continued to struggle on its third instalment.

After dipping below a million for the series opener – for the first time since its debut – it posted its lowest audience of the year on Wednesday (25 July) as just 581k (2.97%) tuned in.

The third episode, last night, drew its second lowest viewing figures of the year and its lowest Sunday night ratings.

Gwyneth Paltrow Isn't Just Shaped Like a Towel Rack, Now She Fills Them!

0

Untitled

In keeping with the tradition of selling absolutely boring ass shit for sky-high prices I bring to you goop's newest item - $240 towels.

Now, as you know Gwyneth preaches that one’s body is a temple and I have taken that advice to heart. Though my private Swiss boarding school lost its accreditation shortly after I graduated and has since been turned into a Curves for Women/Pizza Hut, I did learn that a temple is a place in which the Jewish people congregate. So, obviously I know that treating one’s body like a temple means letting a bunch of Jewish men come/cum inside of you. And not to brag but let’s just say I have had a lot of “lox” in my “bagel” and sometimes these full body workouts end with “cream cheese” all over my penthouse! Luckily, these goop towels are a total lifesaver and are absolutely great at cleaning up all things goopy, if you know what I mean...I mean cum.

So while only a Hermes towel from the Yachting collection will ever touch my surgically lifted, alabaster skin, these new $240 goop towels are perfect for your maids and butlers to use as cleaning rags after one of (Legends of the Hidden) Temple themed orgies.

And what’s best is that these towels each come with a matching Turkish cotton bag which you can use to either wrap your towel or hide your coke stash or use for auto-erotic asphyxiation or simply to cover the face of your less aesthetically-pleasing child so no one recognizes that hunchbacked little freak as yours. Clearly these towels are a necessity for any home!

US Weekly was tipped off about Stewart's cheating, assigned paps to follow her

0

Photos of “Twilight” star Kristen Stewart canoodling with Rupert Sanders, the very married director of her last film “Snow White and the Huntsman,” have likely fetched “at least $250,000, maybe $300,000 on the high end” for the paparazzi agency involved, one expert tells FOXNews.com.

But FameFlyNet, the agency that took the juicy snaps of Stewart and Sanders, may not see that six-figure check for a while.

“If it’s an assignment, there’s not really a mega-money negotiation in advance (with the magazine),” explained Randy Bauer, owner of one of the world’s top paparazzi agencies, Bauer-Griffin. “There’s an understanding that the photo agency or the photographer will have the back end sales of the pictures worldwide, and that’s where they’ll make their money, in exchange for the information (the magazine gives them about the stars’ location).”

Bauer said he heard that US Weekly assigned FameFlynet to follow Stewart and Sanders on a tip that the two were getting busy behind closed doors, or as it looks now, even out of doors.

“From what I heard, it was an assignment, the magazine was actually working the story,” explained Bauer. “(The story) didn’t come from the photographers, it was the other way around: it went editorial to photo, as opposed to photo to editorial.” Bauer said a typical assignment pays a photographer a day rate around $500.

“For a story of this magnitude, with that kind of information, I would think that (the magazine) would want to dedicate at least a week,” to trailing Stewart and Sanders, said Bauer, which comes out to a fee of about $3,500 per photographer. “Sometimes the pay (for a photographer) wouldn’t be anything more than (a day rate). But then the magazine uses the tactic of, ‘Well, yes, we’re giving you a relatively small amount of money for such a big story, but you’re going to make several hundred thousand dollars in your other markets,’ so it’s in the photographer’s best interest to take the job.”

A top celebrity editor agreed with Bauer’s scenario, telling FOXNews.com: “From what I understand, Us Weekly had been on the story for a while. They had a tip that Kristen was cheating on Rob with her director, so not only did they have photogs on Kristen, they had photogs on Rupert as well.”

Scott Cosman, owner of FameFlyNet, told the Los Angeles Times that a lone photographer was trailing Stewart as she met Sanders in her Mini Cooper on July 17. The photographer did not recognize Sanders, but knew one thing for sure–that the scruffy, middle-aged man was definitely not Stewart’s boyfriend and “Twilight” costar, Robert Pattinson.

Soon enough, the 22-year-old megastar and the 41-year-old director and started “pawing each other like teenagers,” in the car and the paparazzo called the agency for backup. Three additional photographers headed up to Pacific View Trail, a street in Los Angeles not far from the Hollywood sign, where they snapped away at the now not-so-secret rendezvous.

The Times reported that FameFlyNet “decided not to shop the pictures to multiple outlets,” instead opting to sell the snaps directly to Us Weekly, because they had "a big budget and would pay a premium amount" for the photos.

Us Weekly declined comment, while Cosman did not reply to a request for comment for this story. Cosman did tell FOX411’s Pop Tarts column that it took him “a few days to sell the (Stewart/Sanders) photographs, and we are still selling them now as interest is very high.”

Soon after the photos were published in Us Weekly, Stewart quickly issued an apology for her "indiscretion" with Sanders to People magazine.

"I'm deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I've caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected,” Stewart said in a statement released on July 25. “This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry."

Sanders, who is married to Stewart’s costar in “Huntsman,” former model Liberty Ross, issued his own apology just hours later, telling People magazine: "I am utterly distraught about the pain I have caused my family. My beautiful wife and heavenly children are all I have in this world. I love them with all my heart. I am praying that we can get through this together."
In any case, Us Weekly made no apologies for their scoop.
