Although Butler died 10 years ago her strong influence and inspiring life story haven't faded yet. Los Angeles arts nonprofit Clockshop has organized a yearlong series in her honor: “Radio Imagination.” The program centers on ten contemporary art and literary commissions that explore Butler’s archive at the Huntington Library. New work will premiere alongside performances, film screenings, short stories, favorite quotes and literary events throughout the year.

Jerry Bruckheimer, producer of the 80s mega-hit Top Gun, which made Tom Cruise into a huge movie star, tweeted this yesterday, and fans and media are getting hyped:

While this isn't a confirmation of the film actually being done, it seems between this and Val Kilmer's excitement several months ago, this is getting a bit closer to reality. The project has been in development for nearly thirty years, and Cruise has said he needs to see a script and there has to be NO CGI.

Early word of TG2 has Maverick training a female top gun, hopefully they keep that narrative.



In less news from 1988, frequent Cruise-collaborator Christopher McQuarrie, writer of the latest Mission Impossible and Edge of Tomorrow, tweeted this cryptic response to someone inquiring about a sequel to EoT:

Way back during Rogue Nation promo, McQuarrie said Tom Cruise said he had an idea for the sequel for Edge of Tomorrow, and recently, Emily Blunt has stated she HAS seen the spec for the film. Obviously, nothing's happening until Cruise gets his other films out and Blunt gets her films- and her new baby- out, or McQuarrie is just being vague about how he's not writing the script, so who knows.

The players are to race up a mountain with a 40 pound bag, they will have check points along the way. For each check point one player must carry the bag there, the other must complete the task, they must switch for the next check point. They can complete the last task, a puzzle, together.

'Darth Vader' To Have A Major Role? + a more



-Stormtroopers in all black armor maybe called 'Death Troopers'? dundundun

-Is Alan Tudyk playing a mo-cap droid that switched alliances and is now bff with Felicity Jone's character? Probably.  He's got two legs and is not like C3PO at all.

-A key player is named 'Cashen' (Kashyn? Kashen?)

-New TIE-fighter design and AT-ATs will ofc show up

-Could Donnie Yen's character be blind?  Upon further inspection (with the help of my computer's wallpaper tyvm) this could very  well be true.  Could he be force sensitive?

What he said about the film during an AMA:

“I think it’s really flattering to be the first Chinese actor in the Star Wars universe and I have full confidence Rogue One will do extremely well, because the force is with me.”

He probably wasn't be literal with that but whatever

-Darth Vader rumors are dark yall. He's got a 'stunt' suit and apparently that means there will be more action.

-The storyboard “pitches” showed decapitated rebels, people being dismembered by Vader throwing his sword, levitating bodies to make human shields, and so on. basically Battlefront while you wait for it to load

so yeah.  That's all we got for now aside from some close ups of the costumes already seen in the first official pic.
